Waking up in the morning, Calleigh had to blink a few times, the sun was right in her eyes, and for a moment, she panicked. She began to struggle in the sheets that she was tangled in, effectively waking Eric up. "Calleigh!" he cried. "relax! I'm here!" he said softly, holding her until she calmed. Her breathing finally slowed. "I hate this Eric... " she whimpered softly. He stroked her hair, sighing. The moment was interrupted by her phone going off. She broke from Eric's embrace to reach for her phone, checking the text message from her unknown stalker.
"He doesn't know your secret yet, does he? Are you going to tell him, or make me do it?"
Calleigh swallowed hard. She knew in her heart exactly what they wanted him to know, but what got her was, how did THEY know? Nobody knew but her. She tossed the phone back into her bag, and flopped onto her back next to Eric. "Nothing important." she whispered, and smiled at him, but he could see that look in her eyes. The one that said she was lying. That something was really bothering her about that text. He stared at her and finally said "You're lying, Calleigh." She raised her brows in confusion. "No I'm not. Why would you think I'd lie to you?" she asked softly. He threw the blankets off of himself. "I'm not going to sit here and let you lie to my face. You aren't as good at hiding things as you think, Calleigh." he said, reaching for his clothing.
"Eric, please..." she put her hand on his shoulder. "Please don't leave me alone..." she whispered, and he turned to look at her. "If I could tell you, you know I would. But I have to figure it out first. Okay?" she sighed softly, hating that she couldn't just tell him the truth. He sighed as well, returning his clothing to the floor and pulling her into his arms. "Okay, Cal." he said softly, knowing that he would follow her to the edge of the universe and back, no matter how stupid the idea was. He just trusted her with everything he had. "You know, at some point we have to get up and go to work." he pointed out, causing her to groan in annoyance. "You are such a buzz kill." she teased.
Short and sweet. The calm before the storm. Are you ready? I'm not. xD -Admin
