Nobody could find Calleigh. She was confident in that, that was why she had this place. A place to be alone, to cry, to yell, to think.
Finally, after hours, she chose what she would do. Tell them the truth. She made her way back to the lab, and found everyone still in the break room waiting. Eric jumped up the moment he saw her. "Where were you?! We were all worried sick!" He scolded, checking her over for wounds. She couldn't get a word in past the entire team asking her questions. It was over whelming, but she stood calmly until they had finished examining her. Immediately she changed her mind. They didn't need to know yet.
"I was on a walk. I'm fine. I'm going home." she whispered, finding herself ready to cry again, and stepped to the door, but Natalia stopped her. "Calleigh, you cant leave yet. You need to tell us the truth. What is the secret you're keeping?" Calleigh tensed. No, no, no. She couldn't tell, she wouldn't! She reached for the door, and Eric stopped her wrist. "Calleigh..." she wouldn't look at him. "You have to tell us, or Stetlar will make us fire you. The lab is getting shit from all sides because of this." he said quietly. "You HAVE to tell us."
Calleigh's whole face was red with rage. "That traitor!" she screamed, and threw herself into a chair, her arms crossed over her chest. Eric sat across from her. The whole room was silent, and finally she broke into tears. "I can't, you'll hate me!" she cried, putting her head in her hands. Natalia's hand found her shoulder. "Calleigh, we need to know." she said softly, and finally Calleigh looked up, forcing herself to calm down.
"I... I was looking for a job with Stetlar..." she trailed off.
"Calleigh, we know that part. What else?" Horatio asked.
"Because... because of the labs rule about people being together..."
Eric snorted, and Ryan gave him a look. "When has that ever made you look into leaving the lab?" Natalia asked.
"Since... since I got pregnant..." she whispered, and looked straight at Eric, who looked mixture of ecstatic, and horrified. "Mine...?" he managed to mumble, to which she nodded. "Yes, Eric. Yours."
