House of Theft
The race is on to find the artifacts of the Egyptian gods. On "Medinet Habu" the ancient Amun Ra is threatening to enter the physical world and its up to the Sibunas to stop him. Unfortunately a mysterious group of masked men are working to make sure the ancient god rises.
Amber and Eddie froze as they looked at the person already in the attic. Trudy spun around holding a feather duster.
"What are you two doing up here?" she asked suspiciously. Amber, thinking fast, invented an excuse.
"We came up here to help you clean up the attic Trudy," Amber lied smiling, "Its so ridiculous that you have to do all this disgusting work all by your lonesome. If I learned one thing at fashion school its that labor is for the working man and not the fashionable woman. And if they should have to work its better with friends." Amber stamped on Eddie's foot discreetly to get him to go along.
"Yea, Trudes you need some help," Eddie chimed in. Trudy blushed.
"Oh such lovelies, you both are. Thank you," she said, "Here." Trudy picked up two large garbage bags and handed them to Eddie. Eddie nearly collapsed trying to keep them up.
"Oh man up Eddie," Amber sassed, "You're a boy for gosh shakes."
"Those bags are going down to the dumpster," Trudy told Eddie, "I doubt Victor will be missing that rubbish."
"Trudy!" Victor's booming voice called as he walked up the stairs. "Why are the children in the attic? It is strictly out of bounds." Victor, along with Nina at his side, entered the attic.
"Don t worry so much Victor. Its bad for you," Trudy said. "These kids are just here to help out a lady. Are you here to help too Nina?"
"Yea of course Trudy," Nina said catching on, "Victor I just can't let Trudy do all this work on her own. She went to go stand by Eddie and Amber. Victor held up an angry shaking finger at them.
"Fine you want to work!" he yelled, "You three shall be helping Trudy the rest of the day until 10:00. Miss Martin we will finish our discussion later!" Victor thudded off down the stairs.
"Oh sorry you guys," Trudy said addressing the students, "I know you were just trying to be nice."
"Its fine Trudy," Eddie assured, "We want to help. Come on." Eddie and Trudy began to walk down the stairs to the dumpster. As Eddie passed Amber, he quickly slid the Eye of Horus into her pocket.
"Nina, Amber!" Trudy called. "Can you grab the bags in the corner?"
"No prob Trudes," Amber called back. When they heard the door close, Amber removed the Eye of Horus from her pocket. "Eddie slid it in there before he went downstairs," she explained.
Nina took the locket and proceeded to the secret panel where the Cup of Ankh was hidden. She pressed her locket against it and it slid open. Nina and Amber gasped. The cup was no where to be found.
It was getting late, almost time for lights out in Anubis house. Patricia, Fabian, and Alfie were alone in Fabian s room studying the golden book.
"Have you figured out anything yet Fabian?" Patricia pestered. Fabian rolled his eyes out her.
"Well, actually yes," he retorted, "The name of the book." Patricia frowned.
"You've been reading that bloody thing for hours now and all you know is the name?"
"The text written on the cover states that this is the book of Amun-Ra," Fabian stated boldly, "Meaning when I crack the code this should tell us everything we need to know about Medinet Habu and how to stop it."
"I agree with Trixie on this one Fabian. You told us stuff we want to know," Alfie put in, "Not stuff we need to know."
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. All of the Sibuna's heads spun around. Fabian quickly slid the golden book under his bed.
"Come in," he said. Willow opened the door.
"Oh hey babe!" Alfie said getting up off Fabian s bed.
"Hey Alfie!" Willow squeed giving her boyfriend a quick hug. "Fabian," she continued looking over Alfie s shoulder, "Can you come talk for a moment?"
Looking somewhat puzzled, Fabian got up and proceeded out into the hallway with Willow, closing the door behind him.
"What's up?" he asked.
"We are going on a date tomorrow night," Willow announced. Taken aback, Fabian s face scrunched up into a state of shock.
"Um Willow. You are kinda dating Alfie," Fabian said.
"Oh he will be coming too," Willow said as if it were obvious.
"Uh," Fabian stammered still confused.
"I will be going with Alfie. I'm going to get Joy and Jerome to come to, apparently there's some tension between them. And you Fabian will be going with Mara." Dread filled Fabian.
"I don t know Willow, I mean School has just stuttered and I m already knee deep in homework, and..."
"Fabian!" Willow interrupted, "You can t just hang out with a girl the entire Summer than ignore her when school starts again. You will be coming."
"Willow," Fabian tried to argue.
"I will not take no for an answer Fabian," Willow said sticking her finger out. "See you tomorrow night after school. I'll talk to everyone else about it. They will love the idea." With that Willow stormed off back to her room.
Fabian frowned as he realized he was caught in the middle of yet another love triangle.
It was a quarter of 10. Jerome was on the way back to his room. Willow had just finished talking to about some stupid date idea she had planned for Friday night. He supposed he'd go, considering Joy would also be going and it would be a great opportunity to embarrass Fabian with Mara.
Just then Jerome spotted Eddie, Amber, and Nina run into Fabian's room up ahead. Curious to why the Scooby gang would be meeting so close to lights out he pressed an ear to Fabian s door.
"Is everyone here?" Jerome heard Eddie s voice.
"Yea all Sibunas here and accounted for Captain Eddie," he heard his roommate Alfie speak. So Alfie was still apart of the mystery gang here at Anubis. Interesting.
"Mick is in the shower we have a few minutes to talk," Fabian said before the meeting began.
"Guys we got some bad news," Amber said in the most dramatic way possible.
"The Cup of Ankh has been stolen from its place in the attic," Nina announced. Jerome heard gasps of shock.
The Cup of Ankh! Jerome realized. He thought it had been destroyed by Rufus when he tossed it in the furnace three years ago. Apparently, he was mistaken.
"It could be anywhere!" K.T exclaimed, "Victor could have found it ages ago! I mean when was the last time someone check up on the cup."
"Not since my last year here," Nina said sorrowfully.
"We shouldn't worry about it though," Eddie said, "For Amun-Ra to rise we know that all of the artifacts must be present during Medinet Habu."
Amun-Ra? Artifacts? Medinet Habu? What were these geeks talking about.
"So that means as long as we get all of the other artifacts first we can prevent Amun-Ra s rising," Fabian explained, "The answer to where Amun's crown is lies hidden somewhere in the Book of Amun-Ra, the name of the golden book. I just need to decipher this code."
"Guys," Patricia yawned, "Its late and we have school tomorrow. Lets talk about this more later."
As he heard everyone get up, Jerome ran into his room closing the door behind him. He smirked to himself.
"So," Jerome said to himself, "the gang is up to there old sleuthing habits again. I'm going to get to the bottom of this."
Willow was skipping happily to bed and was just about to tell Joy and Mara her wonderful idea for Friday night. She spotted Joy coming out from the bathroom.
"Hey Joy!" Willow called. I wanted to talk to you about..." Joy spun around suddenly.
"Willow whatever it is, it can wait!" Joy grimaced. She stormed off into her room.
Gee. What s wrong with her? Willow thought to herself. Joy's problems with Jerome must be worse than she thought.
It was late. The man in the mask had just retrieved the item from his mission. No one could see it behind his skeletal mask but they was a sinister smirk on his face. He entered the junkyard where the other members of his cult were waiting.
On top of a large mound of rubble and debris, his leader awaited.
"Brother," the figure on top of the mound spoke. "What do you have there?"
"One of our agents at Anubis House has just stolen something very valuable for me," the man said still smirking.
From under his cloak, he removed a very shiny and impressive goblet. Several members of the cult gasped in awe.
"I present to you the Cup of Ankh!" The leader stepped down from his mound. He walked towards his agent taking the cup.
"Excellent!" the leader said, "Excellent! You have done us great work brother by accomplishing this feat. But the Cup is only one of four."
"What is our next move?" another cult member asked.
"Victor and his reformed society will bring the Mask of Anubis too us," the leader announced, "The Eye of Horus meanwhile will remain with the Chosen One. She will need it in order to find the Crown. Though I feel like it is about time we recruited on of Nina Martin's associates to our cause."
The leader turned to the masked agent who had brought him the cup. "Are you up for the job?"
