Hey, really sorry I haven't updated this for ages, had many things to do what with wedding planning and the like. However here we go, hope you like.

Disclaimer: Just borrowing, I'll put them back later.

She is engrossed in her book when they arrive, she may well be here on the Cardinal's orders but that doesn't mean she can't actually enjoy the book. They swagger in, following his lead as usual.

You wouldn't follow him if you knew what he was.

She moves quickly behind the pillar, if Athos or d'Artagnan see her then her cover will be lost and she will have no hope of success. She listens keenly when they mention the missing girl, hoping that Ninon might be drawn in by them and give away her location, but she doesn't, she holds fast in her assurances that the girl is not in the house. She watches carefully as Ninon baits Athos with her words, making him lose his normal self assurance.

He's responding to her.

An unwelcome surge of jealousy runs through her; although she has slept with many men and done many things, Athos is still hers, still tied to her. Seeing him smile back at Ninon and respond to that regal beauty brings on a level of possessiveness that she did not realise she still possessed.

Mine.

As he motions for his friends to wait while he follows Ninon and hears them discuss her flirting; she knows that Ninon will make an advance on Athos while she has him alone. She wonders if he will respond or if he will shy away from her.

Later as she helps Ninon ready herself to meet Athos she feels the burn of jealousy deep in her belly; a green fire that twists and coils. The Cardinal may desire to bring the Comtess down and she was just following orders but now she has her own reasons.

You are mine and mine alone, my love. I will destroy her and every other woman you look at, if I have to kill a thousand women then so be it. But you are mine.

There we go, just a short one I'm afraid. I'll try and write the trial soon xx
