A/N – And here it is. I hope you have enjoyed this story as much as I have. It was a pain at times trying to get my thoughts out and on screen/paper, but I think I have done a pretty decent job. Thanks to everyone for the support and love through this. I have several ideas for other stories, but they will probably be a while in coming lol.

Bella POV

"BELLA! GET YOUR ASS IN HERE BEFORE I STRANGLE YOUR BEST FRIEND!"

I stifled a giggle as Angela's voice echoed across the yard. Looking behind me at Paul who had his arms wrapped around me, I rolled my eyes and slowly stood, stretching my back gently. We had been sitting on the swing in our back yard while Emily, Kim, and the other imprints were in the house finishing up dinner for the graduation party. It's been two and half years since I met Paul and life was good.

I had graduated high school that year and started classes the following fall in Port Angeles while Paul finished out his final year. Over that summer we had an imprint explosion! Quil (who had phased in mid-January) had imprinted on Emily's niece Claire. She was only two at the time and while the initial reaction was a resounding WHAT THE HELL, it was eventually seen for what it truly was. He needed her to level him out, to bring about a maturity that was necessary to be a proper protector. Embry, oddly enough, imprinted on the first ever female wolf, Leah Clearwater. Her and her brother Seth had both phased during an argument over the television remote. They had nearly given their father a heart attack, mainly from seeing his daughter phase. Her anger was epic, especially when she learned of the real reasons behind Sam's "abandonment". But one look at Embry and it was done. She needed his calm demeanor to balance out her fiery temper. I was glad for it because I could not even imagine how truly bitter she would have been having to be inside her ex-boyfriend's head all the time.

My favorite imprint that summer though was Jacob and Angela. She had come to the First Beach with me one weekend just after her and Ben had broken up. She was still a bit down but understood the reasons for their split. He was going to University of Washington in Seattle and she was staying here for at least a year to help her mom with her twin brothers. She cared about him a great deal and could not deny him the entire college experience free of a girlfriend who may or may not be able to join him in the future. We were just hanging out when the pack came running down the beach. Paul immediately grabbed me up and swung me around before dropping a kiss to the top of my head. By the time he set me down and we turned around, Jacob and Angela were doing the "imprint stare" as we jokingly called it. We quickly had a welcoming bonfire where she learned all the legends and what it meant to be an imprint. I was nice to have my best friend finally in the know.

Everything remained quiet for a long time. We had a pair of nomads roam through, but they seemed to have inspected the Cullen's house and just left. I could only guess they were friends of theirs but I didn't recognize their descriptions. It did however trigger the phasing of the two youngest members of the pack, Brady and Collin. They were just 14 when it happened and naturally the poor boys were scared to death. Once they got explanations, they relished in being wolves and enjoyed their super natural forms. They brought a sense of fun to the pack that was often needed.

Paul graduated and we moved into a little house on the reservation together. Charlie was apprehensive when I first starting seeing Paul, but they soon had a good relationship. Paul often joined Charlie and Billy on the lake for fishing trips. It helped to keep his temper in check to have some time just to relax. So when we finally moved in together, it was not really a big deal to Charlie. "You're a grown woman, Bella." He told me one day. "And I know you're just as stubborn as I am. I can't deny you the chance to make your own decisions or mistakes. Not saying this is a mistake because I honestly see so much more in your relationship with Paul than I ever saw in mine with your mother. Be careful, be good to each other, and call me if you need me."

Sam was keeping the boys busy too. His construction company had really grown over the past couple of years. They were reputable all around the Olympic Peninsula for their excellent craftsmanship and speed. Being a shape shifter gave them the added benefit of strength and they definitely used it to their advantage. Business remained steady, even through the winter months that drove other constructions crews off their sites. With the boom in business came a decrease in the "gang" rumors that often swarmed the pack. There were still a few hecklers, but the boys (and girl!) were quick to put them in their places.

I have just finished my second year at Port Angeles Community College, along with Angela. She was working towards a nursing degree, me a teaching degree so I could teach at the reservation school. I honestly felt I need to give back to this community that had unknowingly given me so much. We had managed to talk Jared and Embry into taking some business classes so they could help with the books for Sam. They took over the money side of Pack Construction, LLC and it ran like a dream.

It was right before Jake, Embry, and Quil started their senior year that we received a shocking confession. After witnessing his son phase all those years ago, Paul's father had watched the tribe more closely than we realized. He was looking for something, or rather someone: his other son. They had always assumed that Paul had gotten the wolf gene from his mother's side, but after Paul phased his father did a little research and discovered that he was actually a direct descendant of Levi Uley, which made the gene strong within his family. He confessed to Paul one night after a few drinks that he had left Paul and his wife for a time right after Paul was born. He had found comfort one night in another woman he had met at a bar, but never spoke to her again. He didn't even know her name just that she was down from the Makah reservation visiting a friend in LaPush. He had confessed to his wife when he returned and they moved to Tacoma in an attempt to work it out, but in the end it hadn't. She left when Paul was two and they returned to LaPush when he eight. He put the woman out of his mind, but after the shock of Paul's phasing, the memories began to haunt him. His biggest fear was that his irresponsibility lead to another child who may have this gene. He had his suspicions, but never let on to them.

And indeed that one meeting had created a life, a life that had no idea who his father was, whose mother couldn't even give him a name or a really good description of the man who would be his father. To her shame, she couldn't remember him at all: no name, no identifying marks. Just a general description of a six foot, Native man who was just as wasted as she was at the time. Until that night Paul's father confessed through his tears to Paul, Embry Call had no idea who to call his father, his family. He knew it had to be a member of the pack, but he honestly felt so connected to all of them as brothers, he couldn't place any distinguishing factor that would make one of the blood over pack. The relief came that night as Paul phased, trying to make sense of what his father just told him. He played the conversation over in his mind, forgetting that since Embry and Leah were on patrol that night they were seeing it all. When he got to the point of his father speaking the words "He's my son. He has to be. I never knew him, I never saw her, I had forgotten everything about that night. I have failed him and you." Embry and Leah gasped in their minds bringing Paul's attention to them.

Now that the truth was out, Embry had a choice to make: go meet his father and start a relationship with him or leave it as it was and just forget about it. In the end, he chose a relationship. It was rocky at first, but they eventually settled into a good friendship. He even reintroduced his parents and they became friends. Now he had a complete family that he could depend on and couldn't be happier.

Speaking of family, I was pulled from my musings by my father who hugged me gently, cautious of my ever expanding belly. Paul had proposed this past New Year and we had celebrated in high fashion, absolutely forgetting the antibiotics I had taken for a brief sinus infection completely nulled my birth control. Come Valentine's Day I was over the toilet puking and cursing. Later I was taking a test that almost immediately registered "Pregnant". I had fallen to my knees in shock and quickly called Paul to come home. While he was naturally shocked, he was also ecstatic. It took a few days for it to settle in my head, but now I wouldn't change it for the work. Charles Allen Lahote was due in a few months and we were over the moon.

I looped my arm through my father's and we carefully made our way into the kitchen. Angela was standing by the stove, waving a cast iron skillet at Jacob who was backed into the refrigerator, hands raised in supplication. "I give Ange, I'm sorry! I just wanted a taste!" Angela stood her ground, I could see the anger swelling in her as moisture gathered in her eyes. "And I told you a dozen times to stay out of the kitchen until I was done. I'm sorry it's taking a little longer but you will survive!" Her normally soft voice rung off the ceiling as Jacob lowered his head in shame. "I'm sorry, Ange. I'll go outside." He sounded so desolate, I almost felt bad for him. Almost.

Angela lowered the skillet and took a deep breath. "Thank you," she said and wrapped her lover in a hug. They held each other for a moment before Jacob kissed her cheek and headed out the back door behind me. I couldn't help the chuckle that left me and Angela turned looking quite sheepish. "Sorry, he just can't take a hint some times." I laughed full on at the truth of that statement. Charlie got a beer from the fridge and headed back out to "oversee" the grill aka sit will Billy, drink, and bullshit.

I waddled up to the counter and began helping Angela, Emily, and Kim. They tried to push me into a chair, but I wasn't having it. Soon everything was ready and we gathered around the picnic tables in the back yard. The girls and other non-shifters got their food before the wolves descended. We were all eating, talking, laughing, and just enjoying our time together. It was a snapshot of my life. I couldn't help the smile that crossed my face as I looked around at my family. My large, loud, sometimes obnoxious, but always there when I need them family. I loved every member and would not trade them for the world.

This was my life, my world. It was exactly where I needed and wanted to be. It was perfect.
