Camila now knows Vee's secret and the basilisk is feeling rather stressed out. Thankfully she can escape and use Luz's form to pretend to be normal, a life where she had friends and a real future. It sure would be a shame in someone were to turn up and take away that option. This is set during the timeskip in S03E01 and explores Vee's mindset during the first few stressful days.

The inspiration for this story is bizarre. I saw what I thought was a spoiler and constructed an entire headcanon around it before watching the episode and realizing I interpreted it entirely wrong. This is what it would have been like were my headcanon right.
