Dovewing did enjoy Tiny's company. He was quiet and answered all of her questions- something that no one else had been willing to do.

He had explained that Brokenstar wanted to rule the town and how he, Tiny, was its only hope.
Dovewing had heard stories of the days under Brokenstar's rule and there was no way in hell she would ever want to live like that.

Tiny told her how he'd been fighting Brokenstar for a long time and how he had been as best mayor as he could.

He had then asked her if she would help him.

For years Dovewing had lived under her overprotective sister. For years she had let Ivypool do everything, feeling helpless and alone.

But Tiny said he wanted her help. Her help. No one had ever made her feel needed before and she immediately said yes.

"What do you want me to do?"

"I want you to go back to your sister. I believe she may be working with Brokenstar-"

"She would never!"

"Our sources suggest otherwise. Return to your sister and watch. Report back every week on your findings. If you see Brokenstar, sarcasm works best-"

"What?"

"Oh nothing you'll find out soon enough. Anyway if you do discover your sister is working for him, do not try to interfere, report to me immediately. We will set about trying to save her from herself."

Dovewing nodded. Excited mingled with fear buzzed inside her as she left.

She was finally doing something!

Breezepelt waited for Scourge to return watching the exchange with Dovewing from another room.

"That was quite a tale you spun there. You blamed the entire thing on Brokenstar?"

Scourge flashed his most charming smile. "Brokenstar and I spin our web of lies now all that's left is to see who's the fly."
