This was it, the day Hiccup always dreamed of but knew would never happen. The day he and Astrid get married. Hiccup couldn't believe it was actually happening. He was sitting on his bed at the Haddock home. Toothless on his rock bed. "Can you believe it bud? I'm gonna get married, to Astrid. The girl I've had a crush on since I was just a kid. I never thought this day would actually come." Hiccup said. Toothless slowly walked over to his trainer and nudged him softly.

Then, Hiccup heard a knock on his door. "Its time son. Now, I want you to know that I'm very proud of you. Now come out here and give me a squeeze." Stoick said. Hiccup smiled and went to open the door. Just as the door opens, Stoick pulled in his son for a tight squeeze. Stoick was probably the happiest man alive that day. Stoick has never been happier. But he only wished Valka was there to see their son get married.

Stoick let go of his son and sighed, "If only your mother were here. She would be so happy. I just want you to know that I am very proud of you and very happy that you finally had the guts to ask her." Hiccup smiled and said, "Thanks dad." The father and son went downstairs to get Hiccup dressed appropriately for the occasion.

Over at the Hofferson home, Astrid was nervous about the wedding. She never thought this day would come so early in her life. She still thought it was wierd that Hiccup proposed so early but she knew why he had. He wanted to be with her forever and she did too. She was in her room, about to get herself dressed. When she heard her mother call her she quickly went downstairs.

When she got downstairs, her mother walked towards her with a blue dress in her hands. The blue matched the color of her eyes. "Alright Astrid, take your clothes off and put this on. You're gonna look so beautiful!" Astrid's mom put the dress on the table and walked into another room. Astrid really didn't want to wear the dress but she knew she had too for the marriage.

While the two lovebirds prepared for their marriage, they didn't realize that their 'Protector' was there helping out with the preparations of the wedding. Carrying things that need three to four men to carry. Doing things that others couldn't. The news of the wedding was everywhere. Everyone kept talking about the Dragon Conqueror's big wedding. Since Destrix knew the so called 'Dragon Conqueror' and is his 'Protector'.

When Hiccup was ready, Stoick escorted him to the Great Hall. On the way there, Hiccup saw a bunch of statues an pillar line up perfectly towards the Great Hall. He finally realized how big and important this marriage was to not only him and Astrid but also for everyone else. This marriage is going to mean that Hiccup's going to be chief sooner than he thought.

Then, they finally reached the Great Hall. Stoick opened the doors and walked in with Hiccup following him slowly. Inside were a bunch of seats for those who were going to attend the ceremony. There was a carpet leading to where Hiccup and Astrid's marriage is going to take place. Of course, they have to follow the nordic traditions.

"So why didn't you tell me you were going to get married in the first place?" A voice said. Hiccup turned to see Destrix in his black outfit. "Whoa, nice outfit man. You look awesome." Destrix commented. "What are you doing here?!" Hiccup asked. "I had to be here. Its your big wedding. And besides, I'm your protector." Destrix said.

"Wait, you're my protector?" Hiccup asked. "Yup. I just got promoted to 'High Protector'. It took me two years but it was all worth it." Destrix stated. "So does that mean you get to stay here forever now?" Hiccup asked again. "Nope. I still have other jobs to do and I MUST do them. But I'll be here whenever you need me." Destrix said.

Hiccup and Destrix started to get to know each other a little bit while Astrid prepared for the marriage.

Thirty minutes later, everyone was gathered at the Great Hall. Hiccup was standing and on the stage with his father. Destrix was standing on the side, making sure Hiccup was safe. The dowry was ready. All that's left is the bride. After a while, the doors of the Great Hall opened and Astrid walked through with her parents behind her. Astrid looked stunning in her blue dress and her hair was done beautifully. Everyone's eyes were stuck on Astrid except for Destrix's.

Astrid stood in front of Hiccup. Hiccup leaned in closer to her and whispered, "You look amazing." Astrid blushed a bit but was able to hide it. The ceremony went on like every other marriage ceremony and the feast was held. Destrix however, decided to leave when the feast was held.

At night, the newly-weds were escorted to their bed by the witnesses and things happened...according to nordic traditions. Since they haven't built a home for the newly-weds yet, their temporary home was the guest house. Hiccup and Astrid went on to live their lives together as husband and wife.

And so, this is the end of the journey for the vikings of Berk...for now.
