***Jamie POV***

Colt was crying and Carl and I were forced out of the car. I landed on my hands and knees and hissed when they started bleeding. I was brought to my feet and looked around for mommy. Where was she? Did the bad people do something to her?

Rick and Michonne had guns pointed to their heads. Were they gonna die? The scary man with the knife picked me up and held it to my throat. The man holding a gun to Rick's head started counting down.

"Joe!"

"Daddy!" I yelled as daddy walked in front of Rick.

"Don't move, Jamie." Daddy ordered me before looking back at the man.

They talked before daddy was dragged away and started getting punched and kicked. I wiggled free and grabbed my knife mommy gave me from my pants and stabbed the guy in the leg before running over to the men who are hurting daddy. I pulled out my gun and pointed it at them,

"Let my daddy go."

***Violet POV***

I struggled with the walker on top of me and more came. I used one hand to keep Tony away and the other to search for something to use. My hand gripped a big rock and I swung it, hitting Tony in the head. I hit him a few more times before he went limp. I couldn't get him off me and I tried to get my knife again before the other walkers got me.

Then I couldn't hear the growls anymore and someone grabbed my arms. I finally grabbed the knife and turned around to stab the person before I looked into icy blue eyes.

"Daryl?" I whispered.

"It's me, sweet heart." He replied and I dropped the knife before wrapping my arms around his neck and sobbing into his shoulder.

Daryl helped me get my foot out from the root and I looked around at all of the now dead walkers.

"Jamie? Carl? Colt? Rick? Michonne? Where are they? Are they-" I began.

"They're fine, Vi. Carl and Jamie are a bit scraped up and Rick is covered in blood, but they're fine." Daryl answered.

"T-that group. Rick and I saw them. We were at a house and they came. Rick killed one of 'em." I cried.

"Everything's okay. I promise." Daryl said into my hair.

He grabbed my hand and we started walking back, I was limping because of my ankle. But then I stopped,

"How did you find us?"

He sighed, "I was with that group. I was with Beth, but... I lost her. They found me. And I didn't want to be alone. They weren't good people, Vi. I knew that. But once I found you and the boys, I would be gone. I wouldn't be with them forever."

I hugged him again and we went back. Jamie ran over with bloody hands and knees, Carl had a scraped up face. Michonne was holding Colt and I took him from her. After we all talked, Daryl took me and the boys to the back of the car.

That night I slept next to Daryl, Jamie was on his other side and Colt was on his chest. I slept peacefully, despite was happened only an hour or so ago. Daryl woke up early that morning and went to go take care of the bodies and gave Colt to me.

Michonne and Carl were in the back seats, and Carl was sleeping with his head in Michonne's lap. Rick was outside leaning against the car. Sheets were covering the windows so I couldn't see outside the car.

Later that day I cleaned Carl's, Jamie's, and Daryl's wounds from last night and we were on the road again towards Terminus. Jamie walked behind everyone else with Carl the whole time and I stayed next to Daryl with Colt in my arms. Michonne was ahead next to Rick and they were talking.

"What happened with that group? When I was in the woods?" I asked Daryl quietly.

"Michonne, Rick, and I killed the group. Why?"

"I checked Jamie's gun. He has a missing bullet. Daryl, I check his clip every night. I know how many bullets are in there. He only uses it when he really needs to." I answered.

Daryl sighed, "I was getting beat up by two guys..."

"And?"

"Jamie killed one." Daryl finished and I stopped and Carl ran into me.

"What?!" I turned to look at Jamie.

"Vi, calm down!" Daryl ordered and grabbed my arms.

I spun to look at him, "He's five years old and he killed someone!"

"They were hurting daddy." Jamie defended, "It was self defense. Two on one isn't fair, mommy."

"Give me your gun." I ordered.

"Mom, that's not fair!" Jamie exclaimed.

"Jamie, you're five and you killed a person. Give me your gun." I replied.

Jamie sighed before reaching behind him and giving me his gun. We continued walking until we reached another Terminus sign.

"We're getting close." Daryl commented. "Be there before sundown."

"Now we head through the woods. We don't know who they are." Rick said.

I shifted Colt on my arm before we went into the woods. When we reached the Terminus fence we looked at the building.

"We all spread out, watch for a while, see what we see, and get ready. We all stay close. Violet, be careful with Colt." Rick ordered.

"They'll be with me." Daryl replied.

Daryl, Colt, and I walked along the fence quietly. Michonne and Carl went together and Jamie stayed with Rick. When we got back, Rick dug a hole and we put my emergency bag and his duffel bag full of guns inside

"Just in case." Rick said before he started to dump dirt on the bags. Then the seven of us climbed over the fence. Daryl went before me and I handed him Colt before helping Jamie over before I went. We quietly made our way into a building. Inside we heard a woman talking. We walked into the room where the lady was in and there were other people.

"Hello." Rick greeted the woman. "Hello."

Everyone in the room stopped what they were doing and looked at us.

"Well, I bet Albert is on perimeter watch." A guy said before setting down a paint brush and walking towards us, "You here to rob us?"

"No." Rick answered. "We wanted to see you before you saw us."

"Makes sense." The guy replied, "Usually we do this where the tracks meet. Ahem. Welcome to Terminus. I'm Gareth. Looks like you've been on the road for a good bit."

"We have." Rick said, "Rick. That's Carl, Daryl, Violet, their kids Jamie and Colt, and Michonne."

Gareth waved, "You're nervous. I get it. We were all the same way. We came here for sanctuary. That what you're here for?"

"Yes."

"Good. You found it. Hey, Alex." Behind Gareth, Alex came towards us, "This isn't as pretty as the front. We got nothing to hide, but the welcome is a whole lot nicer. Alex will take you, ask you a few questions. Uh, but first, we need to see everyone's weapons. If you could just lay them down in front of you."

We all looked at Rick and he nodded before putting his gun on the ground, "All right."

"I'm sure you understand." Gareth said as we followed Rick's lead.

"Yes, I do."

I reached behind me and put my gun on the ground, but kept my knife in my boot, and Gareth had our arms spread wide so he could pat us down. I couldn't, obviously.

"Hate to see the other guy." Alex commented, looking at Daryl's bruised face.

"You would." Rick replied.

Daryl took Colt from me and Alex patted me down before going to Jamie. I took Colt back, luckily he didn't feel my knife.

"They deserve it?" Alex asked Carl.

"Yes." He answered.

"Just so you know, we aren't those kind of people, but we aren't stupid either. And you shouldn't be stupid enough to try anything stupid. As long as everyone's clear on that, we shouldn't have any problems. Just solutions." Gareth said after we were all patted down. Alex grabbed our weapons and handed them back to us and told us to follow him.

"So how long's this place been here?" Daryl asked as we went outside.

"Since almost the start." Alex answered and we all looked around at the plants and picnic tables. "When all the camps got overrun, people started finding this place. I think it was instinct, you know? Follow a path. Some folks were heading to the coast, others out west, or up north, but they all wound up here."

We stopped in front of a woman that was cooking, "Hi. Heard you came in the back door. Smart. You'll fit right in here."

"Hey, Mary, would you fix each of these new folks a plate for me?" Alex asked.

"That's a beautiful baby." Mary said.

"Thank you." I replied.

"How old is he?"

"About six months." I answered.

As Michonne asked a questioned I looked noticed something about some of the people that were out and about. One of the men had gear on that we had back at the prison. A woman had a poncho that was exactly like Daryl's.

Rick walked towards Alex and slapped the meat out of his hands and put a gun to his head. Rick took a watch out of Alex's pocket. It was exactly like the one Hershel gave to Glenn.

We all took out of weapons and pointed them at people. Daryl forced Jamie and I in the middle since Jamie didn't have a weapon and I had Colt in my arms.

"Where the hell did you get this watch?" Rick asked.

"You want answers? You want anything else? You get 'em when you put down the gun." Alex replied.

"I see your man on the roof with a sniper rifle. How good's his aim? Where'd you get the watch?" Rick repeated. "Where'd you get the watch?!"

"Don't do anything!" Alex yelled at the man on the roof, "I have this! You just put it down. You put it down! You want to listen to me," Alex told Rick, "There's a lot of us."

"Where did you get this watch?"

"I got it off of a dead one. I didn't think he's need it." Alex answered.

"What about the riot gear?" I asked, "The poncho?"

"Got the riot gear off of a dead cop." Gareth answered, walking towards us, "Found the poncho on a clothesline."

"Gareth, we can wait." Alex said.

"Shut up, Alex." Gareth replied.

"You talk to me." Rick stated.

"What's there left to say?" Gareth asked, "You don't trust us anymore."

"Gareth."

"Shut up."

"Gareth, please."

"It's okay." Gareth told Alex, "It's okay. Rick, what do you want?"

"Where are our people?" Rick asked.

"You didn't answer the question." Gareth replied.

Rick spun around and shot Alex in the head before they started shooting. We started running and on the sidewalk in front of us, bullets hit the ground. We ran across the open area and ran into a garage and it was closed off. We ran through an open door and more bullet were shot around us, like they were leading us somewhere. We ran into a warehouse that was filled with candles and on the wall it said 'Never again. Never trust. We first, always.'

"What the hell is this place?" Daryl asked.

"These people," I said, trying to calm a crying Colt, "I don't think they're trying to kill us."

"No, they were aiming at our feet." Rick replied. "There."

We started walking towards a door until it was shut. We went to another door and left through it. More bullets were shot and we were running towards the fence until men with fire arm appeared behind them.

"Drop your weapons! Now!" Gareth yelled from on top of a building, "Now!"

Daryl came behind me and grabbed my gun from my waistband and put it on the ground, "It's going to be okay."

"Ringleader, go to your left." Gareth ordered. "The train car, go."

We all looked to our left and saw the train car and the stairs leading up to it.

"You do what we say, the boy goes with you. Anything else, the children die and you end up in there anyway."

Rick looked at Carl before nodding slightly and doing what Gareth said.

"Now the archer." Daryl left, "Now the samurai. Princess, give the baby to the boy and follow."

I let out a breath before handing Colt to Carl, "Nothing is going to happen to you three."

The four of us stood in front of the door into the train car and Jamie, Carl, and Colt were still standing there, completely still.

"Stand at the door, ringleader, archer, samurai, princess, in that order." Gareth said.

"Once we get out of this situation I'm gonna stab him." I growled lowly.

"The kids!" Rick yelled.

"Go, kids." Gareth said and they began to slowly walk over to us.

"Ringleader, open the door, and go in." Gareth ordered.

"I'll go in with him." Rick replied.

"Don't make us kill them now." Gareth responded.

As Rick opened the door and walked in, Jamie ran over to us and Daryl picked him up before walking inside the car, too. I waited outside the door for Carl and Colt. When they came over I took Colt and hugged Carl to my side and we walked in together. The door closed behind us and Carl went over to Rick. Daryl hugged me to him and kissed me lightly.

We all turned when we heard footsteps on the other side of the train car.

"Rick?"

It was Glenn. Then Maggie. And Sasha and Bob.

"You're here." Rick said. "You're here."

"Maggie." I smiled before walking over and we hugged.

Behind the four were other people. Two men and two women.

"They're our friends." Maggie explained. "They helped save us."

"Yeah. Now they're friends of ours." Daryl replied.

"For however long that'll be." The man with a buzz cut said.

"No." Rick said before walking over where a crack of light came through, "They're gonna feel pretty stupid when they find out."

"Find out what?" The man asked.

"They're screwing with the wrong people."
