We sat in that train car for two days. During those two days we talked and started to make weapons for when they opened those doors. I had my knife, so I was good. I sat against the wall with Colt in my hands. Jamie was on look-out with Daryl.
We heard people talking outside when Daryl spoke, "All right, got four of them pricks coming our way."
"Y'all know what to do." Rick said, moving away from the wooden post, "Go for their eyes first. Then their throats."
I gave Colt to Carl and the three boys stayed behind the rest of us. I grabbed my knife and stood by Daryl.
"Put your backs to the walls on either side of the cars now." A man outside of the car ordered.
I heard footsteps on the roof and looked up as light poured into the train car. Then a can dropped to the ground and we all stared at it.
"Move!" Abraham yelled and Daryl and I ran towards the kids.
Gas erupted from the can and we all started coughing. I stuffed the knife back into my boot and held a crying Colt against me while Daryl grabbed Jamie.
"Daddy!" I heard Jamie yelled before I felt Colt being yanked away from me as hands grabbed my arms and I was pushed out of the car and into the sunlight. Everything was fuzzy looking as I felt my hands being tied together. A cloth was put around my mouth so I couldn't speak and I was shoved against a wall and blacked out.
I woke up when I was pulled to my feet and shoved into a room and I fell to my knees. A hand grabbed my hair and pulled my head back and I felt a knife on my throat,
"Want to tell me what was in the bag now?" I heard Gareth ask.
I looked in front of me and saw Bob, Rick, Daryl, and Glenn sat in front of a metal tub with their hands tied. Next to them were four dead bodies.
"There's guns in it." Rick answered, "AK-47, .44 Magnum. Automatic weapons. Nightscope. There's a compound bow and a machete with a red handle. That's what I'm gonna use to kill you."
Gareth chuckled before letting me go and putting the cloth in Rick's mouth, "Thanks. Kill the girl last. You have two hours to get them on the driers. I'm gonna go back to public face. Now's the time we can get messy, but we need to dial it all in by sundown."
"Got it."
"Yes, sir."
There were gunshots outside and Gareth grabbed a radio, "Hey, Chuck?"
The man with a baseball bat was about to hit Glenn when there was another gunshot and he stopped. Then the whole building shook.
"You stay here." Gareth ordered the guys as he walked towards the exit,
"Gareth, these guys aren't going anywhere." One replied.
"Just stay here until I know what's happening!" Gareth yelled before leaving.
"So we just sit here?" The guys asked and I took out my knife and started cutting the zip tie behind my back.
"Got a job to do." The other replied.
A few minutes later one guy took out his radio, "You there, Gareth?
"He's busy." The other one responded.
"You smell the smoke? You hear the shots? He could be dead. The hell we doing here? The whole place could be going up."
"You went on one roundup and you blew protocol. We don't deal with security. That ain't our job. This is." One said as I cut my hands free and I waited for the right moment.
I watched Rick stand up and went behind the man to stab him.
"Hey, look at me." The man near me turned to look at the other one and Rick stabbed him in the neck.
I stood up and stabbed him in the neck from behind. I ran over to Daryl and cut his tie while Rick got Glenn. Daryl cupped my cheeks, "You all right?"
I nodded, "Let's go get the others."
"If they got problems, we got a chance." Rick said.
"It sounded like a bomb." Glenn commented as he stood up.
"Sounds like a damn war."
"What the hell are these people?" Bob asked.
"They ain't people." Daryl answered as he grabbed a knife from the metal table.
I was just about to stab the guy in the head when Rick stopped me, "Let him turn."
We walked into a room and there was human torsos hanging off a chain, "Oh god." I mumbled before I puked what was in my stomach, which wasn't much, and Daryl patted my back and got my hair out of the way.
"Cross any of these people, you kill them." Rick said. "Don't hesitate. They won't."
We went by the door to the outside and heard yelling coming from a crate and there was a few walkers trying to get inside, "If we can run, we can get by them. They're distracted."
"We got to get those people out." Glenn stated and Rick looked at him, "That's still who we are. It's got to be."
We opened the door and went outside and the four walkers turned to face us. We killed them before going to the crate and opening it and a man ran out and grabbed Glenn, "We're the same! We're them!"
Glenn threw him off and the man went to Rick and laughed, "We're the same."
Rick pushed him away and a walker ran and tackled the man, taking a chunk out of his shoulder. Glenn killed the walker and I pulled him back behind the crate before any other walker or person saw him.
"We got to go back." Bob said.
"A is that way." Rick replied, motioning to his left, "We go back, we don't know where we are."
"We don't really have a choice, do we?" Daryl asked.
There were gun shots and the walkers near us were taken down.
"Wait here." Rick ordered before he ran towards a car.
"Rick. Rick!" Glenn exclaimed.
I then saw a walker start to sneak up on Rick and I ran forwards and stabbed it in the head just as Rick noticed it. I crouched beside him and he nodded at me. The Terminus people started walking by while shooting, Once the last guy walked by, Rick jumped out and killed him before grabbing his gun and shooting the people in front of him. Rick nodded at me and we ran back to the others.
"We're going to have to double back." Rick said.
After we did double back, we eventually got to the train car that held our group. While Bob, Glenn, and Daryl fought the walkers, Rick and I opened the door.
"Come on!" Rick yelled as we opened it. "Fight to the fence."
I ran in and grabbed Colt and put his face in my shirt so his cries were muffled. I made Jamie stay close to me and I made sure my knife was ready. I was in the middle of the group, so I didn't have to stab any of them. We all ran to the fence and Eugene and Tara were over first. Rosita and Maggie were next and I handed them Jamie and Colt. I jumped over next and took Colt from Maggie. We all got over and Abraham was last.
We walked through the forest and back to out two bags full of guns and some food. Daryl handed Rick the shovel and he started digging.
"The hell we still around here for?" Abraham asked.
"Guns and a few supplies." Rick answered. "Go along the fences. Use the rifles. Take out the rest of 'em."
"What?" Bob questioned.
"They don't get to live." Rick said.
"Rick, we got out." Glenn replied, "It's over."
"It's not over 'till they're all dead." Rick responded.
"The hell it isn't." Rosita said, "That place is on fire. Full of walkers."
"I'm not dicking around with this crap. We just made it out."
I handed Colt to Maggie and I walked over to Rick before crouching in front of him and putting my hand on his, "Rick, they're right. The fences are down. They'll run or die."
Rick stood up and grabbed my hand so I stood up with him and he nodded at me. I heard footsteps behind me and we turned around and saw Carol. Daryl let go of the tree and ran towards her and hugged her and lifted her off the ground.
I couldn't be jealous. Really, I couldn't. He hasn't seen her for weeks. She left the prison during the virus.
I grabbed my emergency bag and put it around my shoulder before taking Colt back from Maggie. Daryl finally let go of Carol as Rick walked up,
"Did you do that?" Rick asked and she nodded before they hugged.
They separated and she looked at all of us. When she looked at me I smiled and nodded. Carol looked at Colt before looking at Rick and Carl,
"You have to come with me."
We followed her down a road and to a small cabin. When we saw it, we saw Tyreese coming out with a baby in his arms. Judith.
"Told ya, kid." I nudged Carl.
He smiled up at me before running towards the two with Rick behind, "Judith!"
Sasha started running too. She ran to greet her little brother. This was probably the happiest moment we've had in days. Weeks, even.
Carl turned and smiled at me before running at me and hugging me, careful of Colt.
"Thank you." He mumbled into my shirt.
"I was only telling the truth." I whispered into his hair and I walked him over to Judith again, and Jamie was behind me. Rick walked over to Tyreese and grabbed his shoulder, nodding at the man who saved his youngest child.
We had out small reunion and Rick handed Judith to Carl before looking at the smoke, "I don't know if the fire is still burning."
"It is." Carol replied.
"Yeah, we need to go." Rick said.
"Yeah, but where?" Daryl asked.
"Somewhere far away from there." He answered.
We walked over to the tracks and started walking along it. I was near the back with Rick and Carl and saw Daryl talking to Carol. I still wasn't jealous. They had catching up to do. We started walking into the woods and I stopped and turned when I noticed Rick wasn't next to me. He was drawing on the Terminus sign. I walked up to him to see what he wrote. He crossed everything out, and writing 'No' above 'sanctuary'.
He looked at me and I gave him a small smile before motioning with my head into the trees and we both walked in there to catch up with he group.
"Thank you." Rick told me.
"For what?" I asked.
"For keeping his hope there. You made him believe that Judith was still alive. And she was." He replied.
"Rick, I was just telling him the truth. No need to thank me." I responded.
