We packed all the food we could scavenge onto carts and we began to roll them back to the church. Rick was the one to pull me out of the water, he was the one who saved me. After we got out he gave me his jacket. It got me warmer, but not warm enough. I was still shivering through the jacket.

Gabriel and Rick were talking, and I was in the front with Michonne as we walked down the road that led to the church.

"Do you miss the sword?" Rick asked her.

"Wasn't really mine in the first place. Found it in the very beginning." Michonne replied.

"How'd you get so good?" I asked.

"It was just me and them out here all day, every day a good long time. I don't know what that was, but it wasn't life. Not like today. Stumbling around in three feet of slime for some peas and carrots, that's living. I miss Andrea. I miss Hershel." She answered.

"Yeah."

"I don't miss what was before. I don't miss that sword." Michonne said.

Once we got back and put the food inside, I asked Tyreese where Carl and Jamie were. They were outside on the left side of the building.

"Hey." I greeted them and Rick walked up behind me.

"Tyreese said you were out back." Rick said, "Come on in. We found food."

"And a lot of it." I finished.

"Good." Carl replied, but he kept his eye on the wall.

"What is it?" Rick asked and Jamie pointed to something that was carved into the wood.

"Those scratches. They're deep. Made with knives or something. Someone was trying to get in." Carl said.

In the wood my the window were deep scratches, like Carl said. Someone was trying to break in.

"Jamie found something, too." Carl said and we walked over to the other wall, "I don't know what happened, but whatever it is, we can handle it."

'You'll burn for this' was carved into the church.

"Doesn't mean Gabriel's a bad guy for sure, but it means something." Carl stated.

That night we had a feast. Maggie, Sasha, and I cooked the food, we even had alcohol. I sat with Carl, Jamie, Judith, and Rick. Judith was in Rick's lap, feeding him a few beans. I laughed and Colt clapped his hands.

Daryl sat across from me, I could tell he was staring. But I wasn't going to give in that easily.

" I'd like to propose a toast. I look around this room and I see survivors. Each and every one of you has earned that title. To the survivors!" Abraham exclaimed and we all held up our drinks.

" Is that all you want to be? Wake up in the morning, fight the undead pricks, forage for food, go to sleep at night with two eyes open, rinse and repeat? 'Cause you can do that. I mean, you got the strength. You got the skill. Thing is, for you people, for what you can do, that's just surrender. Now, we get Eugene to Washington and he will make the dead die and the living will have this world again. And that is not a bad takeaway for a little road trip." Abraham looked at Eugene, "Eugene, what's in D.C.?

"Infrastructure constructed to withstand pandemics even of this fubar magnitude. That means fuel, food, refuge. Restart." Eugene answered.

"However this plays out, however long it takes for the reset button to kick in, you can safe there. Safer than you've been since this whole thing started. Come with us. Save the world for those little ones. Save it for yourselves. Save it for the people out there... who don't got nothing left to do except survive." Abraham said.

Rick let out a small chuckle and smiled at me before looking down at Judith, who made a little baby noise,

"What was that?" Rick asked we all giggled, "I think she knows what I'm about to say."

Rick looked up at Abraham, "She's in. If she's in, I'm in. We're in."

We all laughed and a few of us clapped as Rick kissed her head, "Time for bed, baby girl."

I stood up with Colt, "I can take her."

"You sure?" Rick asked me.

"Yeah, it's no problem." I smiled.

"Thank you." Rick smiled back and I nodded before going to the back room where we had the babies' baskets.

Sasha came in a few moments later and helped put the two to bed.

"I'm sure you and Bob will have one some day." I told her.

"Mmm. That would be nice. No more walkers, don't have to worry about when our next meal is, we can live normally again." Sasha replied.

"We all deserve it." I said.

Once we made sure the two were asleep, I grabbed Carl and Jamie's things to the room also. I helped the two kids set up their beds before leaving them to sleep. I sighed as I sat down next to Rick again.

"Long day, huh?"

"No kidding." I replied as I laid my head on his shoulder and yawned.

We sat there in silence, and I noticed that Daryl, Carol, and Bob were gone. I was too tired to say anything as I fell asleep.
