Twd Carl and Sophia chapter 55 governor
A/N hey guys sorry for not updating in a while i've had summer school and its really stressful but enough about me lets get back to the story.
Sophia's pov" We ran and ran for I don't know how long I can't believe she's dead Lilly that poor little girl the walkers have probably got to her by now but at least she won't feel the pain anymore. I shot her I had to she was gonna suffer or maybe even left to turn.
And thats not even the worst part all those little kids were eaten by walkers I could still hear their screams in my head. Maybe if I tried to control them and they didn't panic we could have saved them.
"Sophia you alright" Beth said to me freeing me from my thoughts. Yea i'm okay just thinking about stuff I told Beth. Beth replied " like what" I answered " I just can't believe I left Lilly behind what is wrong with me I should have saved her I should have at least done something to persuade her to come with us. Beth replied " you did all you could do Sophia dont doubt yourself" I then said " no I failed her I could at least tried to snap her out of her try to get through her but instead I put a bullet in her head. Elizabeth then said " heyy you did what you thought was right thats what anyone can do in a situation like that you ended her suffering she was never gonna make it in this world".
I replied " still she was just a little girl she didn't deserve that and not only that I could have at least saved those kids but in the end I failed them too if only they hadn't panicked then the walkers maybe wouldn't have gotten to them. Elizabeth then said " well nothing we could do now besides they would only have slowed us down".
beth then said " yea I guess you might be right but we can't just forget what happened " I replied : yea at least they're in a better place then said " yea I hope so.. heyy do you guys think the herd is still following us. Elizabeth replied " I don't think so I think we've lost them besides Troy and the rest of louises people including louise himself should be making a great meal for them biters.
I then said " yea its been a while since we've seen any walkers we should be safe for now. Beth then said" Carl how much longer do you think till we arrive at the prison. Carl replied " coldly" not much longer now we just have to keep moving". Just as he said moving 2 walkers showed up Carl then said " crap " he went up to the walker and smashed he's face with the bat then the other walker and he kept beating the walkers head till their was nothing left of it. Its face was all smashed up. The baseball bat got stuck on the walkers face Cristian then said to him" come on just give it a strong pull. With a little effort the bat broke free.
Carl then said " lets go we shouldn't waste time" Beth then looked at me and said " Sophia did you see what he just did 1st the big guy now this walker he's losing it. I replied " I don't know he's just doing it to protect us Beth replied " what you call that trying to protect us I call that anger issues". Elizabeth then said i,ve seen this kind of thing happened before it happens to everyone live long enough in this new world and the same thing will happen to you. I've seen people go crazy at least a hundred times".
After walking for a bit we finally made it back to the prison and were greeted by everyone "where did you guys go we were worried sick about u guys RIck asked " Cristian then said ". we followed this truck and it led us to them" Rick then said " good job bringing them back you guys" Beth then said " you're welcome smiling but uhh Carl doesn't look so good himself". Rick then said in a worried voice " oh my gosh Carl what happened to your face" Carl replied " coldly i'm fine " Rick then said " are you sure Carl " Carl then yelled " I said im fine".
He screamed so loud that even the walkers heard it from outside the fields. Carl then said " i'm fine okay now just leave me alone everyone I wanna be in peace". And with that Carl went inside the prison.
Rick then said " what happened ,did they hurt you guys" I then told Rick the whole story about how they work for the governor and how they beated us to tell them information and Carl saving me and getting the shit beat out of him".
Rick then said " oh my gosh I am so sorry that happened " I replied yea me too but when we were in their he lost all hope but then after getting beaten by the leader Louise he went into a coma for a few days". Rick then said " i'll have Hershel take a look at him don't worry" I then said " uhh Rick can I have a word with you alone it's important" Rick replied "sure thing Sophia".
We went near the fences where no one could hear us just walkers banging the fences. Rick then said "what is it" I then said " while we were in their Carl lost it" Rick then said " what do you mean lost it " I replied " we met a little girl their named Liily she was about 9 years old anyway while we were digging up holes Carl threatened her for thinking that the governor was a good man he pulled her by her shirt and while I was talking to him on why he did that he slapped me" Rick's eyes widen and he said " why would he do that he loves you" I then said " no he hates me now I said crying". Tears started running down my eyes and thats (sob) not (sob)even the worst part" Rick then said " it's okay Sophia just tell me what happened " I then said while crying " when we were about to escape Carl told us to wait for him upstairs that he was gonna torture the leader louse for beating him and that we dont wanna see what he plans to do to him " Rick then said " wh.. what did he do" I replied " He beated he's face with a baseball bat we could hear him yell all the way from upstairs".
Rick then said " i'm sorry you had to witness that Sophia i'll be sure to talk to him later when he calms down" I then said " thank you but when we were escaping the little girl Lilly she lost hope and decided to stay so I had to shoot her in the head to stop her from turning and then the other little boys and girls panicked when walkers entered the house and the walkers got them I failed them". Rick then said " no its not your fault Sophia you tried .. you tried to save her but it just wasn't enough some peopleare just too far gone you can't save them theirs only so much you can do dont doubt yourself"
"Thanks Rick" I said to him Rick replied " no thank you for telling me what was wrong with Carl.. now if you excuse me I have to be going now"

I stood there not sure what to think. I wonder if he hates me? I said to myself. He probably does though I shouldn't have mentioned he's mom that day I took it too far. I went to look for Beth and I found her sitting with Cristian. Heyy guys whats up I said to them Cristian replied" what's up Sophia " I replied nothing just bored Cristian then said why don't you go hang out with Carl then."
I replied " we'll Carl is pretty pissed off at me right now Beth replied " what why" I replied to her we'll when we were in that place Carl lost it as you guys already saw and he wanted to give up then said " what seriously him give up that doesn't sound like him i'm gonna have a talk Cristian that asshole" Beth then pulled him by the ears and said " no you don't not if you know whats good for you" Cristian grumped and I laughed a little " Beth then said " anyway look Sophia I think you just need to give him some space what that boy is going through right now he just lost he's mom you can't just expect him to bounce back to reality its gonna take some time" I answered " I know its just that when we were in their he hit me slapped me across the face he never hit me before. Cristian and Beth both looked at me with shocked eyes. Cristian then said " the hell what for" I replied he was blaming me for stuff blamed me for Lori he was taking he's anger out on me. Cristian then said " that little piece of shit who the hell does he think he is im gonna" Beth then covered he's mouth and said you're not gonna do anything right hun" Cristian just stared at her and Beth just started feeling he's arms slowly" Beth then said " anyway you just need to give him time Sophia" I replied yea yea your right anyway im gonna go find mom i'll see you two love birds later.
Cristian's pov
Beth I blushed at the last few words that Sophia said ( i'll see you two love birds later) echoed in my head
I yelled at Sophia and said " what lo.. love birds your one to talk with your boyfriend always making out in the guard tower like at 2 in the laughed then said " well you two seem pretty happy with each other and you two look soooo cute together . I felt my face got even redder Sophia then said we'll i'll just give you two some alone time them and then she ran off.
I then said to Beth who does she think she is Beth then said" we'll uhh she's quite the looker i'll give her that". I widen my eyes surprised at what she said and I said say what Beth replied " oh nothing just forget about" I replied " okay i'll pretend I never heard you that.
( What the heck was that all about I swear she's getting weirder and weirder each day)
I then felt Beth grab my hand I turned around and she was looking at the ground and was blushing trying to avoid eye contact. Her hands felt so cold and soft I started looking at her eyes they were so beautiful they were light blue clear as crystal.
I then noticed Beth starting to shake and tightened the grip in her hand she looked like she wanted to say something her cheeks got even redder she was staring directly at the floor and she started to shake like crazy. I then decided to help calm her down and put my other hand on her shoulders she stopped shaking and looked at me for a quick second and then looked back down. Finally her mouth opened and she said um .. umm Cristian I replied " what's wrong" Beth answered " nothings wrong i'm just a bit nervous to be around you sometimes but Sophia's right don't you think we are kinda cute together. I looked at her and felt my cheeks burning up and said umm well I don't know about me but you sure as hell . Beth quickly replied " that ain't true , you are your cute,handsome you're a good shooter ,knows how to lead, your smart and you protect us you may not be the sweetest guy but you keep us safe all of us we need you." I replied to her thanks you have a lot of nice features about you too Beth. Beth smiled and said " really like what? I answered " like your hair its as yellow as the sun ,your nice crystal blue eyes , your smile seems to brighten everyones day up , and you're like a princess to me.
Beth then laid her head on my shoulders. I looked at her and said you okay? Beth replied " yea im fine just a bit tired" I replied go get some rest then" Beth replied " but what about you I can't leave you all by yourself" I answered " i'm fine if the governor comes back we're gonna need you in top form. Beth replied " am I really that important" I answered of course you are i'm not gonna let you die Beth i'll protect you no matter what I promise. Beth replied " promise" I smiled and said " I cross my heart" Beth smiled and said okay but can I sleep with you" I replied fine but its cold out here lets go to the guard tower Beth smiled and said okay!.
Carl's pov " all I saw was black I was walking through the tombs clearing the walkers smashing their heads in. In my head I had a pip. I think i've killed 200 300 walkers I dont even know anymore. I had all this pain and rage boiled inside me I at least want to get a little of it out i've let some of my anger out on louise but that isn't enough I need to get all of this pain out of me. As I turned a corner I saw 2 walkers one was a lady with her guts open and the other was a baby walker. It was depressing i,ll admit that but that doesn't change the fact that this needs to be done. Come on Carl you can do this. This is no time for screwups I took out my handgun and shot the baby walker right on the face. I then turned to aim at the walker that had its stomach open. I was ready to shoot her when an image popped in my head it was mom's last words to me. Why am I thinking of this now. No get out of my head, Then in my head she was saying Carl how could you let me die how why did you let me die. I screamed i'm sorry I tried i'm so sorry.
What snapped me back to reality was the sound of more walkers coming I turned around and shot my gun 4 times then the walker with her stomach opened had me and I fell shit I yelled I started kicking her in the face get the fuck off of me I yelled I then reached for a hammer that was beside me and I hit her in the forehead with it and kept hitting her head till she stopped moving by the time I noticed i was getting surrounded by walkers about 15. Fuck me I said I quickly started running shooting my way through walkers dodging every hand that comes my way I was about to make it to the exit when I fell and 2 walkers were right behind me I shot my gun and both of them fell, then another 1 came and I shot it , then 3 more came i shot them too thats when the herd was coming this way. while on the ground I started shooting at them shooting at the head,chest stomach i was about to shoot the last 3 walkers when my gun was out of ammo shit I yelled. I was about to grab my knife when the last 3 walkers were shot down I looked up and saw it was Sophia.
" you okay Sophia said to me" I replied i'm fine you shouldn't' have come down here. Sophia then said " is that so if I hadn't come those walkers would have torn you up" I looked at her and said whatever Sophia then said " your welcome I then stormed out of the tombs and Sophia came after me "where are you going" Sophia yelled. I replied just leave me alone I went back to my cell and locked the gate but that wouldn't stop Sophia she followed me back to my cell.
Sophia looked at me and said " Carl" what I yelled Sophia yelled back "stop screaming at me. I yelled at her again and said " shut the hell up i,ll scream whenever the fuck I feel like it!
sophia then whispered ".. wh..who says things like that" I replied " people that ..well I don't exactly know but people that aren't always so damn cheerful all the time. Sophia replied " wh.. whats your problem I replied mine whats my problem whats your problem look at where the fuck we are the governor is gonna come and destroy this place where gonna die and your being so damn cheerful about it. Sophia replied " we might as well its good to be positive someday the world will go back to norman. I screamed what normal are you fucking blind Sophia wake the fuck up; this world has gone to hell the world is stuck this way and nobody can do anything about it so how about you stop being so cheery all the time and stop messing up and ..and stop getting people killed.
As soon as I said that Sophia's eyes started to get watery and she started crying = Carl i'm sorry for causing you pain. " Sophia stop crying" I yelled Sophia then started crying loud " whaaaa ahhhh whaaa i'm sorry. Daryl then came in and said " Sophia you ok why are you crying. Sophia stopped crying and looked at Daryl. Daryl then said " come on girl what's wrong ? Sophia hugged Daryl crying onto him. Daryl then said now come on darling tell me what's wrong ? Sophia pointed at me and said " Carl's being a jerk" Daryl looked at me and said " what happened " I replied nothing I just told her to fuck off but she wouldn't leave me then said " but I didn't do anything" I replied " she's always messing up and is always happy all the time" Sophia replied " i'm just trying to make you happy' I replied it doesn't so just stop. Daryl then said ok thats enough you too Carl apologize" I replied fuck that" Daryll then said " come kid just do it I yelled no and I exited the cell and said to Sophia" you know I wish I never had met you. I said that as loud as i could that you could hear my echo and I ran off.
Sophia's pov " tears rolled down my eyes and I fell to my knees and I broke down daryl came up to be and gave me a bear hug and said " hey its alright its not your fault he just needs time to sort himself out". I replied to him " no he's gone now how could he say that to me. Daryl replied " I don't think he meant it sweetie" I replied " yea he did he hates me now and will always hate me from now on. Daryl replied " no its not babygirl its not your nor is it anyones shit just happens sometimes that we can't control he's in a really dark place right now we just gotta give him room. Daryl wiped my tears away and said " now Sophia why don't you go find someone to play with or find your mom I need to find Rick". Okay I smiled then I got up and left.
As I walked through the prison I felt tears escaping my eyes as I thought of Carl. No I can't think of him I have to keep it together. I can do this come on Sophia you can do this you don't need him. I decided to head to my own cell , well I share it with my mom ever since Carl went crazy like he's dad.
Carl's pov " I didn't want to say that to Sophia I dont even know if I meant it. I just stood in in the cafeteria all alone staring at wall starting to scratch the table with my knife I felt a hole in my heart. I felt all alone , I didn't want to move I felt really angry, I angry at the world angry at dad angry at Sophia angry at everyone. Suddenly I heard gunshots outside I ran to see what the problem was and it was the governor,Tyreese, Sasha,Allen , that douchbag Ben and the hispanic with the hat backwards Merle says he's name is Martinez.
Cristian and Beth came running towards us as we'll as Merle. Crisitan yelled what in the world is going on, dad replied " governor and it looks like amy is their with him as well. As the governors own people including tyreeses group.
I replied " what do we do dad looked at us and said " let them in" I looked at him and said what dad replied we're letting them in open the gate Cristian then got mad and said "the fuck why" dad replied " they only got like 6 people here they try anything we can take them besides I want to have a little talk with this guy.
Daryl and Adam opened the gate for the governor and the others. As soon as they entered and got out of their cars we all aimed our guns at them. Dad then looked at the governor and said to him " what the hell do you want" the governor replied " to talk" Rick then said " that's funny seeing as you tried to kill us" the governor then said " well now were trying a different approach. 'My ass Cristian yelled' Amy then said " guys calm down were just here to negotiate to find a solution to our problems. Daryl then pointed he's crossbow and said " the only solution to these problems is by killing this son of a bitch right here' The governor replied" you do that then woodbury and you people will go to war and let me tell you they will kill every single of you " Daryl smirked and said ' i'm gonna take your other eye you one eye pirate" Rick then said " we can talk inside " dad then whispered something to Sophia and she went running to the cell blocks. Ben then said ' "Sophia " Sophia stopped and turned around and said " yea" Ben replied" I love you"
Sophia,s pov : it seems like that creep Ben still hasn't changed I rolled my eyes at him and left. I went to get the boy we kept prisoner and brought him out I tossed him to Rick and he held a gun to the kids head . Rick then said: now you're gonna answer a few of my questions?
The governor smiled and said well of course. Rick looked at the governor and said now what do you guys want from us why do you keep attacking us? The governor looked at Rick all serious and said you guys killed my daughter. And I will never forgive you for that.
Rick looked at the governor and gave him look and said we never killed your daughter. The governor then looked at michonne and said that piece of shit killed my little penny and you're gonna pay dearly for that. The governor turned back to look at Rick and said she was infected It happened while we were escaping our hometown she got bite we took a breather at a gas station and the second we let our guard down a biter attacked us. It was hiding underneath a car and attacked her it got her in the neck and scratched her on the cheek.
It took 2 whole days before she finally turned. And even after she did I still loved her. Me and my friend Milton did some experiments on her to see if she would remember anything. I believe they still have some part left of them and we might be able to help them. I kept penny alive to experiment on her I thought that I could help her and when the day came that the dead will no longer be sick then my penny will come back to life.
But none of that matters anymore penny is gone now because of you people. Rick took a deep breath and said I get where your coming from but there was no way you could be able to save her. She was gone this is the world we live in now.
The governor tightened he,s first and said you want this to end you give me michonne and Merle. And also give us back our men you do that and we will leave you alone.
Cristian yelled fuck that we'll just kill you right now. The governor smirked no you won't you have 2 days meet me in a abandon warehouse its between here and woodbury you can't miss it.
The governor handed a map out to Rick and said you have two days no one has to die. Now let's go they then left we all turned to Rick to see what he's choice will be. "So what do we do now I asked him" Rick replied we put it to a vote we decide what to do together I want your answers by tonight.
NIGHTTIME: we all came to a conclusion that we were gonna kill the governor and that Merle and michonne would be spared. on the day of the meeting we would bring Merle, Michonne and the prisoner with us. they won't know what hit them we will assassinate the governor with the help of Daryl, Cristian, Carl, me, Glenn, Maggie, Adam and Elizabeth.
