Upon getting to the hospital Knock Out was rushed to the operating room while Starscream and the others who weren't medics stayed in the waiting room worried about their friend.

Starscream left to get his own damage fix only when Megatron basically dragged him to see First Aid, And as soon as the injuries which were only a few dents and his wings being slightly bent were treated Starscream went back to the waiting room only to learn there hadn't been any word on Knock Out's condition yet.

Suddenly they heard a scream come from down the hallway and everyone rush to see what was going on, Only to be met with a nurse standing outside of a broom closet who had just stumbled onto a dead body.

"Who is it?" Asked Arcee.

"That's Pharma he disappeared several weeks ago but we all assumed he went on vacation but forgot to tell us or quit but forgot to turn in his resonation." Explained First Aid who had just gotten there.

Then they took Pharma's body back to look into what killed him later and called Prowl and reported what they'd found and told him about what happened to Knock Out at the Speedia 500.

Just then Ratchet came out and everyone went over to ask about Knock Out almost afraid of the answer.

"He suffered heavy damage from the crash and beating and being tossed over the cliff didn't help, and there were traces of a powerful but slow acting circuit booster in his system probably why he was driving funny and kept trying to exit the race and whoever gave it to him and how used an unsafe dosage." Ratchet explained.

"Will he be ok?" Asked Starscream worried about his best friend.

"He's in a coma and the longer he remains unresponsive the slimmer his chances of recovery and even if he does survive there's a chance he might not be the same again." Ratchet told them and they could tell he was fighting back coolant tears.

Then Starscream told them about seeing Night Rain and they agreed that she could be behind it somehow since she had almost killed Knock Out before.

Just then Prowl showed up with a datapad in hand.

"I got security camera footage from the Speedia 500 and found something interesting." Prowl told them then played the footage that showed all the racers on their way to the starting line and it should the mech with the spikes bump into Knock Out, but when Prowl slowed down the footage and zoomed in what everyone saw shocked them.

The bot had jabbed a syringe into Knock Out's shoulder but had moved it so quickly that the red medic hadn't seen it and assumed one of his spikes had pricked him and no one else had spotted it either, And Knock Out had entered the race not even realizing he had just been drugged until he had started feeling the effects on the track when it began to kick in.

Then Starscream told him about how the two mechs had straight up tried to kill Knock Out before he and Megatron had intervened, And about Night Rain.

And Prowl promised to look into the case and everyone agreed it would be a good idea to have at least one of the team in Knock Out's room at all times to make sure there would be no more attempts on his life.

Then Prowl left to investigate at the race track of the Speedia 500 to see if he could track down and arrest the bots who tried to kill Knock Out or Night Rain if he could find any of them.

Later Starscream went back to see Knock Out who was stable for the moment but still in a coma and fighting for his life, And the seeker was unprepared for the sight that greeted him.

Knock Out was laying on a berth covered in dents, cuts, scratches and even a few cracks, one of which was disturbingly close to his spark chamber, And the unconscious red spots car was hooked to several machines that were currently keeping him alive.

"I'm so sorry Knock Out this is all my fault I know Night Rain had something to do with this I should have known she wasn't messing around when I got that message that said she was going to go after me and my friends I didn't think she would try anything during a race I don't even know how she knew we would be there and you ended up paying the price for it, I'm so sorry!" The seeker broke down, blaming himself for his friend's current state.

"It's not your fault." Said Ratchet who had just entered the room, The medic was having just as hard a time as Starscream was having to watch his son fight for his life and not knowing if he was going fully functional again when or if he woke up.

"This isn't on you Starscream, It's those two monsters who attacked him who are to blame for this and Night Rain if she was involved as you and I suspect." Ratchet added agreeing with Starscream that Night Rain might have had something to do with the attack, "If anything you saved him because if you and Megatron hadn't intervened when you did they would have finished him."

Then Starscream thanked Ratchet for what he said before leaving to go rest at the hotel he was staying in and made Ratchet promise to call him if there was any change in Knock Out's condition.

Then Ratchet pulled up a chair planning to spend the night there to make sure no one tried to finish the red medic off, He couldn't stand seeing his son so close to death and it broke his spark thinking there was a chance he might not fully recover or even make it for that matter.

"Please Knock Out be strong and don't give up you have to keep fighting." Ratchet begged his son. "If I find the one's who did this I'll make them pay."

Meanwhile Starscream had just made it to the hotel and when he tried to enter his room he couldn't get the door to open.

"Scrap the key card say room 6 this is room 6 open up door!" Starscream complained still feeling upset about Knock Out and stressed out about the Night Rain situation, The seeker almost hoped she would show up and try to attack him so he could make her pay for whatever role she played in the attack on Knock Out.

Then Starscream heard pedsteps and got his claws ready to fight when he saw the shape of a femme coming from the shadows but quickly put them away when he saw that it was Windblade who explained Optimus Prime had sent her to make sure he got to the hotel safely.

Then Starscream thanked her and apologized for almost attacking her and she assured him it was fine and didn't blame him having been told what Night Rain had put him through.

Then they started working together trying to get the door to open but it wouldn't budge then they both heard pedsteps and turn around and we're relieved to be greeted by Arcee instead of Night Rain.

"What are you doing here?" Starscream asked.

"Hi Arcee." Windblade greeted the other femme.

"Hi Windblade." She replied.

"I came because I know what it's like to have a friend harmed and about the want for revenge and I wanted to make sure you didn't try something stupid." She answered Starscream's question and offered to talk with him if he needed it.

Starscream thanked her and then they all three started trying to get the door open but it still wouldn't budge.

Then Megatron showed up because he was worried about Starscream and wanted to make sure the seeker was ok.

Then when they told him about the door being jammed he decided to use his fission cannon to shoot it open.

"No wait!" Windblade started to say.

"Don't worry I'll pay for the damage." Megatron said as he fired and the door was sent off the hinges.

"I was going to say Starscream needs it working to lock the door for more sucrity against you know who." Windblade explained.

"Oh scrap I didn't think of that." Megatron facepalmed.

"Hey guys what's wrong with this picture?" Asked Arcee who was looking at the doors to the other two rooms.

"Hey why is room 6 between room 8 and 10?" Starscream asked noticing what she was talking about.

Then he walked to the door that had been blown off and noticed the 6 was really a 9 that had come loose and flipped over.

"No wonder the card wouldn't open it." Starscream said feeling embarrassed.

Then they told the bots running the hotel what happened and apologized and Megatron payed for the damage.

Then Starscream told them all goodnight and went to his actual room while the others went home except for Windblade who check out the room next door so Starscream would have helped if something happened.
