Chapter 18

Alright guys, thanks again for the reviews! Especially one review made my heart beat faster: Thank you so so much Marshall-Arts – this means so much to me and I am happy that I can at least inspire one person on this planet :3 I am not going… to… cry TT^TT

You all are so cute and adorable and I guess this is the moment we all have been waiting for: Naruto's parents. Haha I hope I don't screw up everything for you and I also hope I am able to meet your expectations! Have fun and we see as usual at the end of the chapter~

Before they got out he moved so that he was facing Sakura, took her head into his hands and kissed her hard before looking deep into her eyes. "Sakura… I want you to know that whatever happens now will not and cannot change my feelings for you. I … I kind of just wanted you to realize that." Sakura grinned at him. "Of course, stupid! I know that… I feel the same way – now let us get out of here and face them!"

With a determined look she stood up and got out of the car closing the door with a little more force than had been necessary. He smiled to himself and followed his wife to his parent's doorstep.

After sharing a reassuring smile, Naruto rose his hand and formed a fist in order to knock on the thick wooden door. Shortly thereafter, a maid with short black pixie hair opened the door and her brown eyes lit up when she saw Naruto. "Oh Naruto-san! Your parents are expecting you. It is nice to see you again." She let them both in and took their coats, giving Sakura a chance to gasp at the awesome and precise architecture of the large mansion. But Naruto did not give her enough time to acknowledge the house enough, because he drew her into a direction she assumed his parents must be waiting in. They entered what she figured out must have been the living room, but she was not sure, because the 'living room' was bigger than her old apartment. On the couch she saw a blond man she recognized as Minato Namikaze, since she had seen several pictures of him in the company. Next to him was a beautiful woman with long red hair reading a book and at first not noticing them. It was not before Naruto coughed to announce their presence that their heads turned towards them and they stood up.

"Naruto, darling! It is so nice to finally see you again!" The red-head grinned and Sakura could see whose smile Naruto inherited. She moved towards them and hugged her son, who eagerly embraced her back. After they went apart, Naruto's father moved towards him to shake his hand. "I am proud of you son! You made a great achievement and I can see that you have finally matured to a fine young man. I knew that this business would be safe in your hands and you have proven yourself to not only me and the entire company, but to yourself too. You proved to be a real Namikaze-" Naruto's mother cut him off. "And a true Uzumaki! Don't forget that he has m blood too, honey! But let us not dwell on such boring things… Introduce the fine young woman to us Naruto!"

Sakura who had hidden herself behind Naruto came out with a blush on her cheeks. She smiled at Kushina who had left Naruto and had come towards her. "U-Uhm I am… my name is Sakura. It is really a pleasure to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Namikaze!" Kushina held her hand in front of her mouth and started giggling. "No need to be so formal honey, just call me Kushina, okay? This grumpy old man, who can only talk about business is my husband and Naruto's father, Minato." With her blush on her face, Sakura turned to Minato. "It is nice to meet you too Sir." Minato just nodded, but his wife beamed at her even more. "Ohhh you are such a sweet girl! I wonder how Naruto found you! How did you meet? I bet it was a romantic setting with roses and fountains and fireworks!" Kushina's eyes lit up and started sparkling leading to Naruto sweat dropping, but Sakura just chuckled. "Actually… it was rather different…" Naruto went to stand at Sakura's side and wrapped his arm around her waist. His father raised his left eyebrow at that, but did not say a word regarding his son's display of affection. As far as he could remember, Naruto was not one to hug and kiss a woman in front of his parents – actually he was rather reluctant to even tell his parents he was in a relationship, for whatever reason.

"Then how was it? Did you meet in Las Vegas at the business meeting?" Naruto winced at that and again Minato noticed. What was going on?

"Mum… Dad? There is something I – well WE have to tell you. Sakura is my secretary at the company-" His parents face fell at that and Kushina's smile slowly faltered. "We…she accompanied me to Vegas and after hearing that the business was a success, there was a party and we… we woke up married the next day."

Silence.

Naruto and Sakura both held their breaths and sweat started to make his hands wet and he had to wipe them on his pants. Licking his dry lips he studied his parents' unreadable expressions. Minato was the first one to break the silence, which had started to get awkward. "You what?", he spat at them. Before Naruto could find the courage to speak up his mother beat him to it. "I-I really do not understand. Both of you got drunk at a party and woke up the next day married to each other?" Not being able to use his voice, Naruto nodded slowly.

Minato stepped away from them and started pacing around in the living room. "I can't believe this! What- What were you thinking? No wait don't answer the question, you apparently weren't thinking, am I right? You weren't because if you were, you would have thought about the consequences! Naruto this is not some cheap Hollywood movie! This is real life – you are leading a company. You cannot simply marry a secretary! We were expecting you to bring the daughter from a rich client or something like that. Not this!"

Naruto did not say a word and just let his father dump his frustration on him. Sakura on her part was also quite shocked and she turned to Kushina, thinking that maybe she would be on their side. Sadly, she was faced with the opposite. A frown had mad its place to her once beautiful and peaceful face. "Naruto! What is the meaning of this? Tell me this is some sick and twisted joke! Why on earth would you do something like that? Is this your way of getting revenge on us for some childish thing you have?" This apparently was the last straw Naruto could take because he raised his head and his angry blue eyes glazed over.

"Hey! Now you two listen to me. Maybe it was not the most intelligent way for us to get married, but it probably would have happened sooner or later because I love her! I have loved her for a long time, but it was not until I got drunk that I gained the courage to confess. Yes maybe, we shouldn't have had a speed wedding, but hey – I am happy to have a strong beautiful woman in my life and I regret nothing! So please stop using this as an excuse for a prank! I would never do that."

Minato walked to Naruto facing him and they noticed that they were both exactly the same height. Minato did not overtower him anymore, Naruto noticed and he smirked on the inside, but he maintained his serious façade on the outside. "Don't you dare talk to us like that, son! I am disappointed in you and again you have proven that you are not up to the responsibility of leading an entire Cooperation. I want an annulment now and make sure the media does not find out about this scandal."

Naruto's shoulders started shaking, Sakura noticed and he went to face his father again. "You call this a scandal? Father what do you actually think of me? That I am an irresponsible idiot, who has no idea what he is supposed to do? I won't get an annulment and even if I wanted to – we cannot. My lawyer informed us that we would have to wait for three months, before applying for a divorce. Besides, that I do not want to get a divorce! Why won't you two understand?"

Kushina was the one who answered this time. "There is nothing there to understand Naruto! You can't just walk around claiming your love for people who are far under our social class! We were expecting you to maybe bring the daughter of a millionaire – not THIS!" Sakura opened her mouth to answer, but Naruto was faster.

"Mom! She is not 'this', she is Sakura! And I love her very very much! Why can't you see past her social standing? Why can't you just see what I see? What is deep within? I don't care if she is rich or not. So you would rather have me married to a superficial rich girl than to someone I really and truly love?"

This time Minato took the opportunity to answer and to continue the dispute. "If you want an answer then: Yes! We would rather have you form alliances for the company than marry a low-life gold-digger!"

This was all too much for Sakura. It was one thing to be angry for getting married in Las Vegas, but accusing her of marrying Naruto just because of his money: That was unacceptable!

"Sir! I understand your anger and I think you have every right to be upset about this! But I'll have you know that I would never EVER marry Naruto for his money – actually I really do not care about his riches! I would have also fallen in love with him if he had been poor. I know we did not do this the right way, but please! Try to accept this. I love your Son very much…"

Sakura half-heartedly expected his parents to finally realize her true intentions and accept the marriage, but sadly she was dead wrong….

"Girl! I don't know who you are or where you come from, but I will not let you stay married to my son! After those two months of which I think almost half is over, I want you to pack your things and go out of my Son's life! I don't want someone like you dirtying our family's image – have I made myself clear?" Kushina's pretty hair stood up in the air in her anger and her face had become red because of her being furious at this particular point. "Darling calm down…", Minato went to Kushina and caressed her back in order to make his wife not murder someone in the heat of the moment. He then turned to his son and Sakura with a glare so icy, not even Naruto had ever seen it in his entire life, no matter how often his father had glared at him.

"Naruto I'll have you know that if you do not get a divorce by the end of next month – I will disown you. I don't care if you love her or not, but you are not going to ruin our image! I can already see it: 'Namikaze Heir Marrying Poor Girl in Las Vegas While Being Drunk!' That won't happen Son, not now and not in future! I will not stand for such an atrocity in our family! And you!" This time he turned to Sakura and sneered at her. "I can understand you. You are a NOBODY in this world and getting Naruto drunk in order to marry him would make your social standard shoot up. Well, that is not going to happen. I want you out of my Son's life and the company when this is over and you will make it seem like you quit. We can't have you saying that I forced you, can we? Or else, I will make sure you won't be able to get a job anywhere in this city anymore, young lady. I think both of you overstayed your welcome – should I get you a maid, or do you remember the way out of here?" He did not even spare them a glance anymore, but gave his wife his full attention turning his back to them.

Naruto could not believe what had just happened. He knew that they would not accept the situation that easily, but to freak out like this? He turned to Sakura and saw how she was paler than usual and staring at nothing in particular – it was like she couldn't grasp the entire situation either. He gently took her hand into his own and staring leading her out of the house, when a voice rang behind them.

"Oh and Naruto? Make sure, nobody hears about… this. Have I made myself clear enough?" Minato said with an icy voice. Naruto just continued walking with Sakura by his side and it was not until the main door closed behind their backs, Sakura let her feelings flow freely.

Oh my god, I feel so bad right now :( I made Minato and Kushina bad – how could I? But I need it for the story line and I hope you all can forgive me! I really like them in the Anime and the Manga really I do – it is impossible not to! So to all Minato and Kushina- Fans: I apologize v.v

Phew I wrote this in about one day, because your reviews kinda motivated me! And it is also the last day of winter break and I probably won't be able to update anytime soon, so this is like a present to you all :3 I hope you liked the chapter and it seems like there is trouble in paradise :o Will everything turn out good?
