A/N: Hello, everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the story so far. As always, I own nothing except for my OCs, Ren and the twins! Original plot belong to WizardsGirl. Also before I forget, the song that's in this chapter is Disney's Planes: Fire and Rescue movie's Still I Fly by Spencer Lee. Though I've never seen the movie, I have listened to the music video and for some reason, I always think of it as a lullaby. Please ignore the periods between the verses. I had to use them to separate the verses from each other so they could be a bit easier to understand. Also before I forget, MERRY CHRISTMAS and for those who don't celebrate Christmas, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Nozomi and her new friends made it to Viridian City without being attacked by anymore Beedrills. They did however find some Berries which Kumo and Kura put in what they called a Berry Pouch. Once they were in Viridian City, they went straight to the Pokémon Center and got their Pokémon checked out. Nozomi hesitated before deciding against putting Daphne's Pokéball with the others. Her new friends all noticed but wisely didn't say anything until they had a table in the cafeteria to themselves.

"Alright, Nozomi-chan, what's with the weird ball?" Ren asked rather bluntly as he peered at the zebra-striped ball. Nozomi quickly wrapped her hand around it protectively as she snarled at him slightly. She was protective of the Pokéball since it was Daphne-sama's Pokéball and she really didn't want anyone taking it.

"She's a Pokémon that I just got." she said softly as she lowered her head before looking around. As she did so, she leaned in close forcing the other three to do the same just to hear her. "A very, very old as well as powerful Pokémon." Kumo was fascinated while the other two looked slightly interested.

"How old?" When Kumo asked that question, Nozomi looked around again before lowering her voice while looking at every single one of them in the eye.

"Centuries, if not older. As in one of the first of her kind old." she hesitated. "Would you like to meet her?" They all nodded rapidly and Nozomi stood before gesturing at them to follow her. She quickly lead them outside and into the Viridian Forest a bit before she pulled out the Ancient Pokémon's Pokéball from her belt once more and released the Ancient Pokémon.

Once she was out of her Pokéball, Daphne let out a long and low growl as she eyed the other three Trainers that stood next to her Trainer with narrowed eyes. The three gasped and gaped at her while Nozomi hurried forward. The Ancient Pokémon gave her a look with an arched eyebrow as Nozomi gave the Ancient Pokémon a curtsy.

"Daphne-sama, korera wa watashi no yūjindesu.(Lady Daphne, these are my friends.)" Nozomi said nervously as she kept her eyes down as she rose from the curtsy. "The oldest one is Matsumoto Ren while the other two are Hitsugaya Sakumo and Hitsugaya Sakura. However, they both prefer Kumo and Kura." With that, she fell silent, unsure how the Ancient Pokémon would react to her new friends. Finally, the Ancient Pokémon nodded her head to them and the others all nodded back. "Everyone, meet Daphne-sama. No one can find out about her, alright? Someone might try to take her." The others all said hello to the Ancient Pokémon and agreed with the auburn haired girl before Nozomi recalled her back into her Pokéball. With that, everyone nodded before they all went back inside the Pokémon Center.

Their Pokémon were all done so they got in line to check their Pokémon out of the Pokémon Center with Nozomi being last. Finally, it was Nozomi's turn but just as she got her Pokémon, a girl with wavy dark sapphire blue hair and dark wine red eyes shoved her roughly out of the way.

"Anata ga okonatte iru basho, ga ki o goran kudasai. (Watch where you're going, brat.)" the girl spat out while sneering down at her. Ren moved to help Nozomi up, who merely frowned at the other girl.

"You pushed me, and by the way who are you calling a brat? I've done nothing to you." Nozomi snapped back at the blue haired girl, who scowled at Nozomi with her red eyes narrowed in spite.

"And just who do you think you are? I am Thorne Darcy, the heiress to a multi-million corporation!" With that, she stuck her tanned nose up in the air while Nozomi rolled her eyes at how much the other girl acted like Dudley.

"I am Yagami Nozomi, close family friend of Rocket Sakaki, owner of a multi-billion dollar company." She had asked Giovanni just out of curiosity how much money his company made and even now she still couldn't wrap her mind around it. Giovanni was a man who could get anything that he wanted with as much money as he wanted, only for the next day to have twice as much in his bank account as he had spent. His company definitely made more money than what the Whale made at his job at Grunnings. Darcy did not take too kindly to this.

"Sore wa osuushida to anata wa sore o shitte iru! Anata wa, watashi wa kanemochida to iu dake shitto shite iru, anata wa, on'nanoko o wakaranai.(That's bull and you know it! You're just jealous that I'm rich and you're not, girl.)" Nozomi frowned at her before shaking her head and shrugging her shoulders. She then took her Pokéballs back. It was like dealing with some of the more verbal bullies that she once had to deal with back in her old world.

"Think whatever it is you want to think, Thorne Darcy, for your opinion only matters to yourself. Guys, let's go." With that, Nozomi led her friends back outside where the boys almost immediately burst into an insulting match, trying to out-do each other on who could come up with the worst insult for Darcy. Kura kept quiet as she walked beside Nozomi with a considering expression on her face.

"Didn't what she say bother you?" She asked once the boys had calmed down enough to stew and quietly plot revenge for Nozomi. They all focused on Nozomi who just shrugged nonchalantly.

"Not really. I had a cousin like her once…I think…back where I used to live. If you remember what I said last night, I don't really remember most of my life. He was, I think, a spoiled brat who thought that the universe revolved around him and that people were created to be his servants as well as his punching bags. It didn't help that my relatives encouraged him to think like that…I think. The only difference that I can tell is that Darcy probably has more brains than my cousin…I think." Nozomi shrugged again as she sighed. "And the fact of the matter is that she couldn't really bother me, even if she tried. I find that she's just not worth it. Plus if what she said is true, then she's not acting in a way that a true heir should act."

Her three friends nodded and they then once again started for Pewter City. They walked for a few hours in relative silence, merely enjoying the scenery, when they saw what looked like a Pokémon being attacked by a group of very small brown avian Pokémon with what looked like rough brown plumage on their head and a short hooked beak while the underside of the Pokémon were beige with two stripes. The Pokémon that were attacking the other Pokémon had light pink feet that had three talons while the wings were a pinkish red with much lighter edges and the back of the avian Pokémon was black though the avian Pokémon's three tail feathers were brown. Nozomi quickly pulled out her Pokédex before scanning one of the attacking avian Pokémon.

Spearrow—the Tiny Bird Pokémon. It has to flap its short wings at high speed to stay airborne and it flies around very fast to protect its territory however it is inept at flying high. If Spearrow is not eating, it darts around in a hurry. This Pokémon is very protective of its territory and makes high-pitched cries that can be heard over half a mile away while flying around ceaselessly to protect it. If these cries are heard echoing, it is a sign that Spearrows are warning each other of danger.

"Oh, no! We've got to help that Pokémon!" Ren cried out as he pulled out a Pokéball. The others nodded and each pulled out a Pokéball.

"Hikari-chan, bring out the sun!"

"Let's go, Anisu!"

"Go get 'em, Toshimaru!"

"Lily, come on out!"

Soon all four of the Trainers had their Pokémon out and ready for battle. Toshimaru was a small light blue turtle that had large brown eyes and a slightly hooked upper lip. Each of his hands and feet had three pointed digits while the end of his long tail curled inward. His body was encased by a tough shell. The shell was brown on the top, pale yellow on the bottom, and had a thick white ridge between the two halves. Somehow, he managed to stand on his hind legs. Lily, on the other hand, was a small quadruped Pokémon with green or possible bluish-green skin and darker green patches. Her thick legs each end with three sharp claws while her eyes had red irises with white sclera and pupils. Lily had a pair of small pointed teeth that were visible when her mouth was open while on her back was a plant bulb. Nozomi was quick to scan both Toshimaru and Lily.

Squirtle—the Tiny Turtle Pokémon. After birth, Squirtle's back swells and hardens into a shell. The rounded shape and the grooves on the shell's surface help minimize resistance in water which allows Squirtle to swim at high speed. Like its non-Pokémon brethren, Squirtle withdraws into its shell when in danger. It is one of the more common Kanto region Starter Pokémon along with Bulbasaur and Charmander.

Bulbasaur—the Seed Pokémon. The bulb on its back was planted at birth as a strange seed. It will then sprout and grow with the Pokémon. With the bulb on its back storing energy, Bulbasaur can go for days without eating a single morsel. The bulb on its back also grows larger by soaking up the sun's rays. As such, this Pokémon can be seen napping in bright sunlight. It is one of the more common Kanto region Starter Pokémon along with Squirtle and Charmander.

When everyone's Pokémon was in front of their respective Trainer, each of the Trainers did something different. Ren pulled out a soft purple bandana from one of his pant's pockets and put it on while Kura swiftly put her hair into a ponytail and Kumo just pulled on his fingerless dark brown gloves. Nozomi merely shifted her stance so when they did scare off the Spearrows, she could easily run in and get the Pokémon they had been attacking before making sure it was alright.

"Anata-tachi wa, junbi ga dekite imasu ka? (Are you guys ready?)" she asked before the others nodded. "Then let's take care of those Spearrows!" As soon as Nozomi said that, Kumo was moving and ordering Toshimaru.

"Toshimaru, use Aqua Tail on as many of them as you can!" The turtle leapt forward before he let his tail glow light blue and he spun it around. When it did, a spiral of water started spiraling around it. He then flipped around and hit several of the Spearrows with his tail. A small number of the large flock fell to the ground unconscious, thanks to the spiral of water hitting other Spearrows. "Alright, Toshimaru! Keep it up!"

"Anisu, use Horn Drill on those bird brains!" The small Sea Lion Pokémon made her way towards the flock with her horn spinning like a drill. Then she rammed the spinning horn into several different Spearrows sometimes repeatedly on a single Spearrow. Soon though, Anisu got tired and retreated back to her Trainer. "Well done, Anisu! I'll give you some of your favorite food later."

"Okay, Lily, it's our turn! Use Petal Dance and Magical Leaf together!" The small Bulbasaur jumped up and flipped around while releasing multiple glowing yellow or green leaves from the bulb on its back before releasing multiple pink petals in a twister like fashion at the Spearrows from the slight opening in her bulb. Multiple Spearrows fell unconscious to the double attack.

"Hikari, you ready?" The Growlithe nodded while she trembled with excitement. Nozomi smirked slightly before giving the Puppy Pokémon her orders. "Use Bite, then follow it up with Crunch and then finish it with Iron Tail!" The Puppy Pokémon seemed to all but flew forward. Four Spearrow went down by Bite. When Hikari moved on to Crunch, she managed to take down seven more Spearrows and with Iron Tail, a final three Spearrows went down. "Alright, now let's try using Sunny Sun and combine it with a Fire Spin!" Hikari's eyes became fiery and she released a white beam of light into the sky from her mouth, causing the sun to shine brighter. Once the sun was shining brighter, Hikari opened her mouth and released a flame at some of the Spearrows that curled around them in a tornado when the flame reached them. It was obvious to Ren and the twins that the flames seemed to be much stronger than what they should be. "Well done, sweetie. I think we'll call that attack…Sunny Spin. Now, Hikari, could you carefully aim the Fire Spin portion of Sunny Spin at the Spearrows while being careful of the injured Pokémon?" The puppy like Pokémon nodded her head before she slowly closed her mouth to control how much of a flame could come out of her mouth. Slowly the rest of the Spearrow flock went unconscious before Nozomi finally told Hikari to stop using Sunny Spin. As soon as the last Spearrow fell unconscious, Hikari completely closed her mouth stopping the attack.

At least now, you can get to that Pokémon, Nozomi-chan Hikari said as she was scooped up by Nozomi who hugged the tired but happy Puppy Pokémon close once she was in the arms of her Trainer. When Nozomi motioned to Hikari's Pokéball, Hikari merely shook her head wanting to stay out to protect Nozomi in case she need her. Nozomi had begun to notice that Hikari would, at times, be extremely quiet.

"Nozomi-chan, that was…" Ren trailed off, seemingly at a loss for words.

"Really neat!" Kumo and Kura shout with a grin. Nozomi blushed as she ducked her head into Hikari's fur while hiding her flinch at the shout. Ren nodded his head in agreement with the twins as he noticed the flinch from the auburn haired girl before asking a question that was on his mind.

"Un, soreto ikimashou. (Yeah, let's go with that.) Where did your Pokémon learn that?" Nozomi shifted her feet with a blush still on her face.

"Giovanni-san had his Persian help her to master Iron Tail as well as his Charizard help Hikari to start perfecting Fire Spin, otherwise the majority of her attacks are Egg Moves according to Professor Oak or I've come up with them. Although, shouldn't we be more concern about the Pokémon that the Spearrows were attacking?" The others all nodded before their eyes widen in shock and concern for the Pokémon. Once they remembered the Spearrow victim, they hurried over to it.

There on the ground in a ball was a small quadruped fox-like Pokémon. It had a fawn brown pelt, tawny brown pupil-less eyes that were nearly closed due to the pain that the Pokémon was in, large pointed ears with maroon brown insides, and six rust orange tails with curled tips. It also had curled locks of rust orange fur with bangs on the top of its head. The underbelly was a creamish yellow and sandy brown feet with desert sand brown paw pads. Nozomi was quick to scan it after she put Hikari back down on the ground as Ren tried to touch the Pokémon before it cringed away from the in-training Breeder.

Vulpix—the Fox Pokémon. At the time of its birth, Vulpix has just one white tail which will gradually spilt into six tails. Vulpix grows even more tails as it grows older. If this Pokémon is attack by an enemy that is stronger than itself, Vulpix will feign injury to fool the enemy and escape. A flame that never goes out burns inside this Pokémon's body and during the daytime, when temperatures rises, Vulpix will release flames from its mouth in order to prevent its body from growing too hot. Vulpix can freely control fire and can easily make fiery orbs fly like will-o'-the-wisps.

Once her Pokédex was done speaking and was put up, Nozomi had quickly took off her backpack and pulled out a couple Potions along with plently of bandages. She slowly approached the injured Pokémon, who growled at her before Hikari distracted the younger Fox Pokémon. Nozomi could tell that the Fox Pokémon didn't trust her or any of the others.

"Sore wa mōshibun naku, chīsana ichi ni narudarou. (It's going to be alright, little one.)" Nozomi murmured softly when the Vulpix flinched away from the girl. "Watashi wa chōdo anata no kizu o iyasu tsumoridesu. Watashi wa watashi ga yakusoku suru, anata o kizutsukeru tsumori wanai. (I'm just going to heal your wounds up. I'm not going to hurt you, I promise.)"

Kaa-chan says not to trust humans. I want Kaa-chan… an extremely soft girl's voice answered before Nozomi sighed when the Vulpix once again flinched away from her. This Pokémon was just a baby or at most a toddler. It was going to be harder for her to gain the Vulpix's trust than what she originally thought.

"Shh, little one, we'll get you back to your Kaa-chan soon. Alright, pretty girl? However you're hurt and I really don't think your Kaa-chan would want you hurt, do you?" The Vulpix hesitated before she shook her head weakly. "I'm not gonna hurt you, sweetie, okay? I just need to pick you up so I need to take of your owies and make them all better, alright?" The Vulpix nodded her head as she slowly uncurled herself from the ball that she was in slowly before Hikari walked forward from her place beside Nozomi tiredly while smiling at the much younger Pokémon.

Nozomi-chan would never knowingly hurt a Pokémon unless it's in a fair battle. She knows what it's like to be as injured as you are right now. You can trust her. Now, my name's Hikari. What's yours? The Vulpix looked at Hikari shyly as Nozomi carefully and gently picked her up before placing the young Fox Pokémon in her lap. After getting the Vulpix situated in her lap, Nozomi started to gently clean off the fawn brown pelt with a damp bandage to see what was hurt.

Kaa-chan calls me little Yu but Tou-chan says that it's Yuko. I like Yuko better Nozomi had, by that time, forgotten that her friends were there since she was so focused on not causing the baby Vulpix any more pain while cleaning her off.

"Yuko? Oh, that's a beautiful name for such a beautiful little girl. I can tell that you're like your name's meaning of gentleness child or superiority child, though I have a feeling your Kaa-chan and Tou-chan meant for your name to mean gentleness child. Your Kaa-chan and Tou-chan definitely chose a wonderful name for you." The baby Vulpix nodded bashfully as Nozomi carefully sprayed the wounds with a Potion. "Just a little bit more and then all you need to do is rest for a little while, alright, Yuko-chan?" The Vulpix nodded again somewhat sleepily with a yawn before the younger Pokémon nuzzled into her and, as Nozomi finished the second Potion, fell asleep.

"Nozomi-chan?" Ren started to ask softly and carefully, causing Nozomi to jump slightly. She blushed a bit before looking away from them and down at the little Vulpix that still slept in her lap with Hikari curled up asleep besides her. "Nozomi-chan, are you psychic?" Hesitatingly, she nodded her head, scared that they were going to reject her like the Dursleys did, before she gave them a spoken response to Ren's question.

"Hai, shikashi sore dake de sukoshida. (Yes, though it's only a little bit.) I can understand Pokémon just like I understand you guys, though one time I knew what were in these ten Pokéballs and how old the Pokémon that were in them were. I could even tell how close to giving birth one of them was…" She trailed off when she realized she was babbling softly and cautiously peeked through her auburn bangs up at them. "Do you…Do you still want to be friends? I can understand, however, if you don't…" Ren knelt down and hugged the younger girl while being careful to not jostle the sleeping Vulpix. As he gave her the hug, he noticed that Nozomi had stiffened. His eyes narrowed slightly at what could have happened for such a kindhearted girl to react like that to a simple hug.

"Of course, we still want to be friends, you silly girl!" the older boy said as he gave the girl another hug. "You think that we'd want to stop being your friend because of something like that?" The twins nodded from where Nozomi could see them.

"Yeah, Nozomi-chan, you're—"

"A good person and we—"

"Don't care if you're psychic or—"

"Psychotic. We still want to be friends,"

"Alright?" The silver haired twins finished with a warm smile causing Nozomi to smile brightly at them from the hug that Ren still had her in. She never had such friends that wouldn't judge her that weren't Pokémon. In her opinion, it felt wonderful!

Nozomi and her friends walked towards a giant cave that wasn't too far from the field while still being far enough away from the main road so that not many Trainers would be able to find it unless they were lead there by a Pokémon that either knew the area or were following the scent of another Pokémon. The cave was far enough away from the field that you wouldn't be able to see or hear anything from the field but still be close by. Nozomi carried a still tired Yuko in her arms. She kept the young Fox Pokémon happy by tickling her belly to make her giggle and laugh. Hikari sat on her shoulder and made funny faces at the baby Vulpix, who simply adored and looked up to the Growlithe.

The others laughed and talked amongst themselves, mainly asking about family and what they wanted to do after they had all of the badges they need to get into the Indigo League Conference. Nozomi paused at the mouth of the cave, feeling the small hairs at the back of her neck standing up on end. Out of the corner of her eye, Nozomi noticed a small flame flicker into being in the inky blackness before getting bigger and bigger.

"LOOK OUT!" Nozomi shouted as she dived out the way only to land on the side that Hikari wasn't on while being careful to not hurt either of the Pokémon. Yuko cried out, scared that she was once again going to be hurt. She started to cry, forcing Nozomi to immediately start trying to calm the now teary eyed Vulpix.

"It's alright, sweetie. Shh, shh, don't cry." She carefully sat up before she started to rock Yuko back and forth. Suddenly Nozomi faintly remembered a song that a feminine voice would sing out loud while she was in the room, though she didn't know if it was meant for her or not. However, she knew it would keep her calm and started to sing.

There' a time in your life

When the world is on your side

You might not feel it

You might not see it

But it surrounds you like a light

Makes you stronger for the fight

.

Never letting go

Gotta learn to grow

Watch me as I touch the sky

Still I fly

Now I know it's what I gotta do

Find a dream that's new

Give it all I got this time

Still I fly

Still I fly

.

Feel the wind all around

All the courage to be found

Who knows what's out there

I know I'll get there

Oh off into the sun

I know I'm not the only one that's

.

Never letting go

Gotta learn to grow

Watch me as I touch the sky

Still I fly

Now I know it's what I gotta do

Find a dream that's new

Give it all I got this time

Still I fly

Still I fly

Still I fly

.

Breathe it in

I'm gonna shine

It's my moment

Gotta live and live it right

I'm flyin

Flyin so strong

.

I'm movin'

I'm movin'

I'm movin' on

.

Never letting go

Gotta learn to grow

Watch me as I touch the sky

Still I fly

Now I know it's what I gotta do

Find a dream that's new

Give it all I got this time

Still I fly

Still I fly

As Nozomi finished singing, Yuko had stopped crying and now sniffled as she rubbed her eyes with her paws. "There we go. All better?" Nozomi asked before she kissed the baby Vulpix on the head just below Yuko's rust orange bangs. Yuko nodded her head shyly before she nuzzled Nozomi.

Anata wa, totemo kawairashiku Nozomi-hito o utau (You sing so prettily, Nozomi-Human) Yuko said softly to Nozomi causing Nozomi to smile softly at the baby Vulpix.

"Naze, Yuko-chan o yoroshikuonegaishimasu. Watashi wa chōdo watashi no saizen o tameshite mimashita. (Why thank you, Yuko-chan. I just tried my best.) Now, let's get you back to your Kaa-chan and Tou-chan…"

No need, human a deep masculine voice growled out nearby causing Nozomi to look up, startled. Before her were two Ninetales, though one was nearly identical to Amaterasu while the other was more like Yuko, and a trio of Vulpixs, though they had different coloring than Yuko, who Nozomi had noticed had several more tails than Yuko and were hiding behind the smaller Ninetales who was similar to Yuko, peeking out and looking at Nozomi and the other three humans curiously.

Kaa-chan! Tou-chan! Yuuto-nii-chan! Yoshiko-nee-chan! Sumiko-nee-chan! Yuko cried out as she leapt out of Nozomi's arms and running up to the smaller Ninetales who lowered its muzzle and nuzzled the baby Vulpix. The larger Ninetales watched Nozomi consideringly as Nozomi pulled out her Pokédex and scanned the Ninetales that Yuko was standing in front of.

Ninetales—the Fox Pokémon and the evolve form of Vulpix. This Pokémon is very smart, so much so that it is said to be able to understand human speech, and very vengeful for if one of its many tails is grabbed as a joke, it could result in a 1,000 year curse. According to one enduring legend, nine saints were united and reincarnated as Ninetales. Each of its nine tails are said to be filled with a wondrous energy that could keep it alive for 1,000 years and some legends claim that each one of its nine tails has its own unique type of special mystic power. The longer this Pokémon lives, the more its fur shines like gold. Ninetales can cast a sinister light from its red eyes to gain total control over its foe's mind.

Nozomi gulped as she tried to not look in the eyes of the larger Ninetales as she put the Pokédex back up. Somehow she got the feeling that neither of the Ninetales had no problems using their power to get rid of the humans that were in the cave with them. Nozomi didn't know how she or any of the others could be able to convince the Ninetales that they didn't mean the family any harm nor did they want to catch them. Shaking her head, Nozomi looked into the eyes of the Ninetales.

Nozomi-human was so nice to me, Kaa-chan! She saved me from those nasty Spearrows and she fixed my ouchies! Nozomi-human carried me 'cause I was tired and she brought me home! Her friends helped too, Tou-chan! They were all nice to me The smaller of the Ninetales, who Nozomi speculated was Yuko's mother, looked at Nozomi with grateful eyes.

I thank you then, human Nozomi bowed slightly before signaling the others to do the same. She just knew that if they were treated with both honor and respect, the Ninetales would in turn would show them that same honor and respect. Ren and the twins followed Nozomi's lead and bowed to the family of Fox Pokémon.

"Sore wa, madamu, mattaku shishō wa nakatta. Kanojo wa watashi to watashi no yūjin to atta Yuko-chan ga sō koibitodatta. (It was no trouble at all, madam. Yuko-chan was a total sweetheart while she was with me and my friends.)" Nozomi said as she rose up from her bow before giving the little Vulpix a soft smile, who ran over and indicated that she wanted to be picked up. Shaking her head, Nozomi carefully scooped her up and tossed her gently up into the air before catching her with ease. Yuko squealed softly as she was tossed into the air and laughed joyfully as she came back down. Nozomi just giggled as she cuddled the small Fox Pokémon close to her chest and kissed her on the head. Hikari jumped down to the ground from where she had hung from Nozomi's shoulder and looked up at Yuko's parents.

Nozomi-chan would never knowingly or even willingly hurt a Pokémon she told them with a slight frowned. Well, except of course when battling, but that's a given despite what she does to prevent injuries. Slowly, the larger Ninetales nodded his head as he continued to watch Yuko with Nozomi while two of the three other Vulpixs slowly made their way towards the twins, who along with Ren, had risen up from their bows when Nozomi had tossed Yuko up into the air. When Kura and Kumo noticed the two Vulpix, they knelt down and held out a hand for the two to sniff. After the two Vulpix sniffed the twins' hands, the two Vulpix started to nuzzle the twin that that Vulpix had sniffed. Meanwhile Nozomi had recalled Hikari back into her Pokéball since the Puppy Pokémon had started to sway slightly while she was on her feet.

Okaa-chan? the single Vulpix that had remained by the smaller Ninetales asked softly as the smaller Ninetales turned her head towards the last Vulpix. Is Yoshino-chan, Sumiko-chan and Yuko-chan going with the humans? Nozomi looked at the last Vulpix, then down at Yuko who hesitated, then at the other two Vulpix who also hesitated before looking at their parents with pleading eyes.

Please, Okaa-sama? Otou-sama? We want to go with the humans! Please? The three Vulpix said in unison while the parents looked at each other before the larger Ninetales sighed and rolled his eyes.

Fine! However, you better take good care of them, humans he said in a deep growling voice as he gave the three humans that were with his daughters a slightly dark look causing Nozomi to nodded her head vigorously.

"Of course, sir. I'll make sure that the twins will take good care of whichever daughter of yours that chooses to go with them." Nozomi said firmly before setting Yuko down so she and her sisters could tell their family goodbye. She went over to her friends and quickly relayed what was happening. They all listened attentively and when she got to the part about the twins getting one of Yuko's older sisters, the twins gained a somewhat shocked look on their face. Once Nozomi finished speaking, the trio shared a look.

"So…Nozomi-chan," Ren drawled out while looking at her with a slight smirk on his face. "I didn't know that you could sing." Nozomi blushed brightly as she kept an ear out for the group of Vulpix.

"Yes, quite pretty." Kura agreed with a grin as Nozomi's blush got even darker that it could be seen even with her tanned skin. Kumo just snickered as Nozomi ducked her head and started muttering something about it being nothing along with the fact that she didn't even know that she could sing. Which was mostly true, the Horse and Walrus didn't allow her to do anything that would cause her mind to wander off while she was doing chores and didn't want her to waste her music teacher's time with a "worthless and highly unlikely to succeed student that would only waste her teacher's time", in their words. She had asked her music teacher for sining lessons but when both the Horse and the Whale found out about the lessons, they had them cancelled before the lessons could even start.

"Aw, she's embarrassed! How adorable!" Ren said as he tackled the girl in a hug. The twins merely burst into a fit of laughter while Nozomi covered her face with her hands.

"Oh, all of you just shut up." She muttered softly in annoyance. "You're all being mean." She pouted at them slightly forcing them to calm their laughter down.

"Oh, we were just messing around, Nozomi-chan!" Kura said as she ruffled Nozomi's hair. Ren and Kumo nodded their heads cheerfully. Nozomi smiled slightly at them all before widening the smile even more when she saw Yuko and her sisters bounding over to them with an excited look on their faces. Nozomi bent down, scooped Yuko up and spun her around in a circle, much to the baby Fox Pokémon's delight. Kura took the Vulpix that had sniffed her hand and picked her up in one arm while Kumo took the Vulpix that had sniffed his hand and picked her up in one arm as well. Laughing, the three Trainers pulled out a Pokéball and tapped their Vulpix gently with the Pokéballs. The smiling Pokémon were returned to their balls before the group of humans left the cave while waving at the Fox Pokémon family as they went.

A/N2: Alright! I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter of Discovering a New Family! So now, let's answer some reviews from all you lovely and loyal readers! I'll try to answer any questions that you guys might have as best I can without revealing too much of the plot that hasn't been revealed so far.

FANactic Writer: I agree with you on the fact that both Kura and Kumo are like Fred and George, only perhaps maybe not as focus on pranks like the Weasley Twins are. As for their reactions to Giovanni, I think it would be different for the other members. With Kumo, he might complain a bit before getting over the fact that Nozomi had kept quiet about such information while Kura would go slightly fangirl on the group. Ren, on the other hand, would probably approach him as if he would a possible employer so he would be very respectful to Giovanni.

ultima-owner: I find that the situation's like the troll incident in Hogwarts in first year. Only this time instead of just being crushed to death, if she or one of the others got hit by the Beedrills they might not be able to make it to a hospital or a Pokémon Center due to the Poison type moves that a Beedrill knows. What? Oh, come on, the only people who would have even some sort of immunity to poisons or even Poison type moves would be Traines that specialize in Poison type Pokémon! Not only but no one in the group currently has or carries an Antidote in their bags. Or even a berry that could remove the poison like a Pecha berry.

AbsolGirl0: Now that would be telling. I'm usually not one to reveal something like plot twists but currently the plan is that some point in this story, Nozomi will get some male Pokémon (and I'm not saying which Pokémon so please no reviews asking which ones) but you also have to remember that Nozomi was abused mainly by a group of males (Vernon, Dudley, Dudley's gang, the male teachers (What? They did nothing to stop the obvious bullying that she was going through)). So of course she would subconsciously lean more towards female Pokémon since most of the abuse she went through with the females in her original world was verbal. Besides, some animal species have females that are more...powerful?... compared to the males. I would like to think that the Pokémon that Nozomi's gotten so far are among the Pokémon species where the females are more powerful than the males, even if it's only just slightly. So don't worry about that, aright?
