OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS! WE'RE NOT DEAD!

Yeah… Look, I know it's been forever, but believe me, I did NOT intend to vanish off the face of Fanfiction for two months. I kinda got grounded… So yeah… Anyways! I wrote this chapter out on paper around Thanksgiving and I just got to typing it up today because of the reasons listed previously.

I hope I did Roxy justice – I had to take a few liberties, but if there's anything you want to see, Justrockzyxxx, PM me or Hugs and let us know.

Disclaimer: We own no characters belonging to Rick Riordan. I own Chelsea, Hugs owns Reece, and Justrockzyxxx owns Roxy.

Chelsea's POV:

Once we'd eaten and grabbed our bags, the three of us walked to the border. I leaned against Thalia's tree as Argus drove the car up to take us to the airport. Roxy and I stored our bags in the trunk but Reece kept his with him. Weirdo.

Roxy sat in the middle of the backseat and Reece took the passenger's side, so I sat behind Argus. It wouldn't have been that bad if he didn't have three or four eyes on the back of his neck that all seemed to be focused on me. I cleared my throat awkwardly and they all blinked at once before looking off in separate directions.

I turned to Roxy.

"So, is this your first year?" I asked.

"Second," she said, pushing her hair back enough so I could see the two beads on her necklace. One was of the Empire State building, the other showing Mt. Olympus. I glanced down at my own necklace, which had the same beads.

"Cool, same as me. I don't think I've seen you around Camp much, though. Are you a year-rounder?"

"No, I only stay for the summer. During the school year I'm home-schooled by my father. He was a professor at Cambridge University."

"Wow. Cambridge, huh?" Reece spoke up for the first time since Argus had started driving. "How come he doesn't send you to some fancy private school?"

"He thinks I'll get a better education with him," she replied.

"Makes sense," I said. Being a daughter of Athena, her father had to be really smart. "Wait, you said 'was a professor'."

Roxy smiled. "So you noticed. My father got married when I was ten, and we moved with my step-mother to Mississippi. Now he teaches high school students about Shakespeare." I didn't know what to say so I stayed silent. Shakespeare bored me.

After another twenty minutes or so, Argus dropped us off at the airport. He handed Roxy an envelope with what I assumed were our tickets inside and helped us get our bags out before driving off. Clearly he thought she was the leader, but I didn't mind. She seemed pretty chill and if she could keep me and Reece from killing each other, that would be even better.

We went inside and immediately got sucked into the crowd. It seemed like everyone in New York was trying to catch a plane that day. Somehow the three of us managed to make it through without being slaughtered and got our boarding passes. Roxy, who clearly knew her way around the airport better than either of us, lead us through to security. While we stood in line waiting to go through the metal detectors, I heard some soft giggling behind me and glanced back to see a group of teenage girls. They were clearly mortals – too much makeup and they were all dressed in shorts and tank tops, so they were obviously tourists. I realized they were giggling at Reece, who turned when he heard them, causing them to giggle even more. I rolled my eyes and turned back to the front, stepping through the detector when they gestured to me. My knife was in its hidden form in the shape of a hair barrette, so it didn't trigger any alarms. And it helped keep my bangs out of my face, which was nice.

We somehow managed to get through without being pulled out of line and searched, and finally made it to the gate. I slumped down in one of the first chairs I found, suddenly becoming aware of how stressed I had been. Stupid mortals can ruin even the best plan.

Roxy sat down next to me. "All we've got to do is make it onto that plane and we'll be fine," she assured me.

I smiled. "Thanks. It's nice to know that at least there's someone here that knows what they're doing." She grinned back as the gate opened up and people began to pass through onto the plane. We stood and I clutched my boarding pass. They let us through without too much fuss and with that we were on the plane. It was only an hour flight, give or take, but it was sure gonna feel like longer.

The three of us ended up in the same seating arrangement that we'd had in the car, with Reece taking the window seat. I took the aisle seat and reclined it slightly before drifting off.

Wow, I think this is the longest chapter we've had so far! I hope it was worth the wait and that you guys enjoy! Hopefully updates won't be so far apart even with school being crazy. See you next time =)
