Hey, sorry for the wait, guys. The snow days threw my school schedule off track and I got slammed with a bunch of history notes. Also I'm now in school until June 24th UGHHH

Anyways, update! Yay! And a long chapter! Extra yay!

Disclaimer: I own Chelsea, Hugs owns Reece and Justrockzyxxx owns Roxy

Chelsea's POV:

We got off the plane and immediately went into the baggage claim area to get outside. We walked together as a group, with Roxy in between us. That was probably a good idea. Reece's…attack from earlier was bothering me. He'd always had that baseball cap, but what was so important about it? It was just a hat, right? I shook it off and joined the others in trying to blend in with the crowd as we made our way through to the doors.

I heard some growling behind me and tensed, turning to see a security guard helping somebody with their bags, his right hand holding the leash to a German Shepard. The dog made eye contact with me and growled again. I flinched and hurried back over to the others, who were waiting for me at a nearby conveyor belt.

"What's wrong? You look pale," Roxy said. Reece scoffed but didn't say anything.

"It's nothing. I'm just paranoid," I lied. We kept walking but I kept getting distracted, on the lookout for more dogs. It sounds stupid, but I'm terrified of them. Yeah, most people are scared of drowning or heights or whatever, but I'm scared of dogs. I just can't help it. When I was a kid, about eight years old, a pit bull in my neighborhood got off its chain and attacked me and I was walking home from school. The damn thing nearly tore my leg off, and I had to get a bunch of stitches. It took me two months before I'd walk through my neighborhood alone again. So yeah, you can see why I was paranoid.

I heard more growling behind me but tried to convince myself that it was just in my head. I wanted to take out my headphones and drown out my fears in music, but they were in the front pocket of my backpack and I didn't want to stop to get them, so I pushed on. Suddenly something slammed into me – something big – and I let on a scream as I fell onto the floor with a giant figure above me. Reece and Roxy spun around as the German Shepard pinned me to the floor, snarling at me. The two of them raced forward but the security guard got there first.

"I'm so sorry, ma'am!" he said. "I don't know what got into him!" He tried to grab onto the dog's collar, but as soon as he got close the dog snapped at him, almost biting off his hand. The guard looked confused and somewhat scared, but he tried again. This time he grabbed the dog's collar, only for the dog to spin around and swipe the guy with its claws. Instead of just leaving some scratches, the poor guard flew into a nearby pillar. I scooted back while I had an opening but the dog just pinned me down again. This time I looked into its eyes and I saw that they were red, blood red.

"Mommy! That dog's gonna bite the girl's head off!" I heard a little girl exclaim.

"Don't be silly, dear. That's a trained dog," her mother replied. Finally something in my brain clicked and I focused on the dog, really focused. In front of my eyes its fur changed color and became pure black, like a shadow. Its ears became more pointed and its teeth sharper. The Mist faded and I could see what it truly was I was up against.

A hellhound.

Crap.

Out of the corner of my eye I could see a few more 'guard dogs' appear, each taking their true form in the crowd. Judging from that, there were five of them, including the one that I was currently pinned under. Not the best odds.

I heard Roxy yell "Chelsea, watch out!" and watched as she threw one of her daggers at the hellhound. It hit it in the side and I was covered in sand-like stuff as it dissolved with a yelp. I grabbed her dagger off the ground and stood.

"Thanks."

"No problem," she replied as she and Reece run up to me. We stood in a group as the other four hellhounds encircled us.

"We have to get out of here, who knows how many more might show up?" Reece said.

"Thank you, Captain Obvious," I said with an eye roll.

"You're welcome, Sergeant Sarcasm," he replied.

"Guys! Not the time!" Roxy interrupted, and we both nodded. We could finish our comebacks later.

"So… you guys take the ones on the left, I'll take the ones on the right?" Reece asked. Roxy and I shrugged in response. The hellhounds charged as alarms blared in the airport as some mortals stared while others ran around in circles, yelling "EVERYBODY, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! THE END IS NEAR!"

Yup. Just another average day in my life.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter! It was really fun to write. Wasn't gonna leave it on a cliffhanger, but oh well.
