Wow, we've actually been updating weekly. Can you believe it? Yeah, me neither, but here we are! Here's to hoping that this will continue and we won't have to go into another hiatus during exam week
Disclaimer: We own Reece, Chelsea and Roxy
I fought like my life depended on it, which it kind of did. Things raced through my mind, stupid, annoying memories that made me want to yell, "I'M NOT GOING TO DIE SO STOP FLASHING BEFORE MY EYES LIFE!" and stuff like that. Also, Chelsea was afraid of dogs? Um, understandable, as we were being attacked by a bunch of vicious death mutts.
When we were finally done fighting Chelsea was leaning on Roxy breathing hard and looking panicked.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" I dug out some Ambrosia and Nectar and offered them both some. They'd both been bitten and scratched and one of the hell hounds had crushed Roxy's hand, but it started healing and we needed to leave, we'd already caused enough of a scene and demigods and attention aren't a good combo. Soon as I started walking I remembered that I might be hurt too, but I didn't want to waste any Nectar. I examined myself quickly, telling myself I'd be fine.
"So, dogs?" I asked Chelsea, and she glared at me.
"Never mind. But I'm not judging, considering what I'm afraid of."
"Which is?"
"Do you really need anything else against me?" she shrugged and we kept walking.
"So, how are you guys feeling?" Roxy asked. I had a couple of scrapes but they'd be fine, nothing to waste nectar or ambrosia on.
"Fine, considering I was sick as a dog a few minutes earlier." Chelsea cringed when I said dog and I mentally slapped myself. I shouldn't taunt her, not here, not now, maybe later though...
"But your hand, is it okay?" I asked to change the subject.
"It's great, almost healing."
"Great. So, where are we going and how are we getting there."
"Gettysburg, and we walk, duh."
"Let's just hope we don't run in with any other pesky monsters."
"It wouldn't surprise me, my luck is horrible," Roxy said, and I laughed.
"What?" She asked.
"You're with a son of luck now, so I could help you out."
"You can do that?"
"Well, yes, not for myself, but for other demigods..."
"Why didn't you do this earlier?!" Chelsea screamed, and I looked at her blankly.
"Well, for one, I don't like you," I said simply, and she scowled at me.
"Like I like you any more than you like me."
"Why do you guys hate each other?"
"I don't want to get into it," I said, moody all of the sudden. But if Chelsea wanted to talk... Whatever.
I dug my hat out of my backpack and stuck it on my head. It was getting a bit too small, which made me angrier. I always got angry when Chelsea was around, but since she'd touched my hat, I was furious.
Ooh, walking. Such fun. Surely this will lead to many adventures! Guess we'll have to wait and see. 'Till next time!
