Sebastian POV

"Shopping?" I stare at Grell, slightly surprised. He wanted me to take Xavier shopping?

"Yes, shopping. Winter is coming soon, we need to get him new clothes and stuff."

"…. He's a hybrid. I'm am almost positive he wouldn't nee-"

"Oh, Sebastian, Please? I just know he needs them! Everyone needs them!" Grell pouts, tipping his head to the side; meanwhile Xavier rests in his arms. The small boy is watching both of us eerily calm, chewing the end of his tie. I sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose.

"… it might take up a lot of time."

"So?"

"So, my Master can't find out that I've been deceiving him, or he will be most displeased. If I am gone for an extended period of time, he will start to wonder." Ciel had, in fact, been wondering. He asked where I temporarily went, and I said 'demon business'. He let me do my thing, not asking anymore question. It made me wonder what he thought when I said 'demon business'….

"Awe, please, Sebas-chan?" Grell pouted, jumping in spot a little bit. Xavier looked at Grell, then back at me, probably wondering what was going to happen. I stared, my thoughts whirring, before looking back into the manor behind me.

"… fine."

"Really? Yes! Here, bring him back soon! Me and William will be off work by then."

"Wait, what? I didn't say now-" I protested, but Grell had placed the boy in my arms before turning away. I watched with irritation as he took off, and then looked at Xavier. "… Can you wait for me in my room? I have business to attend to."

He nodded, so I quietly took him inside, taking him through the halls. I new Ciel was doing work in his office, and the servants were hopefully outside or doing something… but wherever they were, they didn't find us.

Reaching my room, I placed Xavier on the bed. He looked around, remarking at how it looked. "It's… plain."

"Plain?" I stood up, straightening my jacket as I stared down at him. He looked up and nodded.

"My daddy has paintings in his room. And my mommy likes red things, so there is always a lot of red around."

"Oh, really? Does Grell live with you now?"

"Sometimes. My mommy waits until I'm asleep, and then she leaves. She comes back the next morning if she can, or she comes by later in the day." Xavier pulls his knees up and hugs them, watching me. I throw him a smile.

"Great. Well, I'll be back, and we can go." I turn and leave the room, closing the door behind me. I wondered if I should leave the boy alone in the room, but decide it's safe. I leave to find my Master.

Xavier POV

I sit on the edge of the bed, my feet dangling towards the ground. I watched the Sabastian-man leave, closing the door behind him.

Master. He was a … servant? I realized I didn't know much about the strange man whom I just met. Huh… weird…

"Mew!" I froze at the strange noise, stiffening up. What was that? I looked at the plain bed, looking under the pillow.

Nothing there. I get on the floor, peering under the bed. Nothing there as well. Maybe I was just hearing things… this house was strange after all. I get back up to sit on the bed.

"Meow." I hear it again. I frown, and then look around the room before going over to a desk, opening a drawer. Empty.

"Mew. Meeeeow." I couldn't help but giggle a little bit. Finding this … creature… was fun. I check the fireplace, but it is empty as well. There isn't even anything to show that Sebastian made a fire regularly in it.

"Mew!" I turn to look around, staring at a closet. "Meoow." I walked up to the door, placing my ear on it. More noises could be heard. Something wanted out.

Grinning, I opened the door… to have little fur balls that seemed to be the very essence of happiness and playful hit me. "Mew! Meeeow! Meeeeow! MEOW!"

The tiny creatures scurried out, wrestling, running around, jumping onto the bed. I smiled, and looked down at one rubbing against my legs. I picked up the small grey one, looking at its eyes. A bright greenish-yellow color.

"Hello…." I whisper softly to the cat as I hold it close on my chest. It watches me intensely, a thoughtful expression on its face, before licking my nose and snuggling on my shoulder. "What are you… a… cat? Kitten?"

I realized I hadn't even seen one up close. I was pretty sure I heard my dad mention he didn't like pets… and my mother never talked about pets as well. But why? This little… kitten was adorable. With the big round eyes, looking out totally innocently. And the way it snuggled, its body totally warm and cozy, with soft fluffy fur….

Smiling, I go back to sit on the bed, and the other cats now take an interest in me. Mewling, they jump up next to me, rubbing against me, sitting on my lap, licking and nipping playfully at anything they can. A the while, I hold the tiny grey cat.

"I'm going to name you…" I frown again. I didn't know what to name an animal… I didn't have any ideas. I pet the cat soothingly. "Hmm… what shall I name you..?"

I was at a lost. What did you name a cat? I wanted to give the small thing a beautiful, maybe playful name. Because that was how this cat was. But I was pretty sure 'beautiful' was a strange name. So maybe, I'd wait until I found a better name.

"… yes, that's it. …" Smiling once again, I kiss the cat's slightly wet nose. The cat merely mews back, cuddling. I hold it close. "You can be my nameless for now. Until I give you a name."

.Would Sebastian let me keep this kitten? I bite my lip, looking at the door. It'd be nice… but then there were my parents to worry about. Well… maybe I could attempt to hide it. Grinning, I open my small black jacket, storing the cat safely away. After closing it, I felt the tiny thing move around, tickling me.

Trying (unsuccessfully) not to burst into giggles, I sit quietly on the bed and wait for Sebastian to return.
