Sebastian POV

I headed back to my room, with anger boiling inside me. I had told the Master I'd be out for a few hours. He asked me what for, and I said 'demon business'. So… he threw a cup of tea at my head and said 'let's see if those girls you seduce want you now, looking like that'.

At least I now knew what he thought I did when I left… disturbing as it was, there was a bit less of a chance that he'd harp on the subject of my whereabouts...

But, my face was now a bit red. Of course, it was healing from the burns quickly. But it was still irritating.

At least I get a few hours away from him, I think to myself as I open my bedroom door, and freeze.

Cats are everywhere, jumping on the desk, the bed. There are some papers and such scattered about. I can actually see a kitten trying to tackle and attack a pillow. Frowning, I walk inside, bending over to pick up a cat that was trying to escape into the hall behind me.

"What happened here?" I look at Xavier, who is still sitting on the bed. As I stare at him, I notice a moving bulge in his jacket, and I can see that the boy is smiling and trying not to laugh.

"W-what happened to you Sebaton? You are wet…" He giggles and squirms, and I hear a small mew coming from him.

"The Master threw a cup of tea… do you have a cat with you?" I sigh and pet the cat that I am currently holding.

"… Why did he throw tea at you?" The boy stealthily dodges the question while squirming more. I can see the bulge in his jacket move as well, before the kitten manages to poke her head out.

"Meeoow" The cat makes a long but tiny sound as she rests there and stares at me. She is a green-eyed one with grey fur… one I am fairly fond of.

"Because the Master… is a laborious character. Answer me, why do you have a cat?" I cross my arms and raise an eyebrow, and Xavier shrugs.

"It's cute… can I have it?"

"'It' is a 'she'. And I'm not sure…"

"PLWWWEEEASE SEBATON?" I blink, surprised with the forcefulness in his voice. He squirms more and pets the cat. "I'll watch her, and take good care of her, and feed her, and love her, and pet her, and get her pillows to be comfy. Please please please?"

I tilt my head as I watch the boy beg hopefully. The cat gives me the same type of look, as if she wants to go with the boy. I stand there some more before nodding. "Alright then. You can. Seeing as we are going shopping, we can pick up supplies for her."

"Tank you!" Xavier takes the cat out of his jacket and places her on the ground before running over to me, crashing into my legs. Hugging me, he looks up adoringly. "I'll love her sooo much!"

"I'm sure you will…." I pause, wondering if I should pry this small boy off of me, but he pulls away and goes back to pick up the tiny kitten. Holding her, he turns to me.

"We going?" He asks happily.

"Of course, seeing as we are ready. We will be taking a carriage" Smiling, I turn and walk out the door, listening to his steps as he follows.

~Later one~

It was cold as we walked. Seeing as I was a demon, and Xavier was a hybrid, it didn't bother us. Meanwhile, the young kitten snuggled in his arms and jacket, so she wasn't cold.

We already had bought some stuff, like clothes and such, which we took back to the carriage. We were currently looking for food.

"I want to get her fish… a lot of fish… like tuna and salmon. And we need milk. Do they drink milk, Sebaton? Ooohh, and we need to get her a tiny bed, and toys with her to play with…" Xavier walked closely besides me, smiling away. I turned and looked at him, sighing.

"We can get all that soon, Xavier."

"And chocolate… for me… and more stuffed animals. I have 14 stuffed animals. One is a bunny from Ronnie, and my daddy gave me a teddy bear and another bunny and a mouse, and my mommy brings me different teddy bears and a polar bear and a penguin and a doll…" He babbles on and on about the stuffed animals he possesses, talking about who gave them to him and where he got them. I raise an eyebrow and can't help but smile.

This kid was really something.

"Here, Xavier, let's go here. We should get tuna…" I head to a stall. A man sits on a barrel, slowly smoking his pipe, letting customers ask him questions about the goods he is selling. He answers them slowly, shrugging and nodding. I approach the stall, looking over the products.

"… Sir, it would appear you don't have any tuna."

"I have fish."

"Yes, but I require a specific type of fish." I lift my gaze to look at him, and he shrugs.

"Go to the other stalls, I'm sure they have what you are looking for."

"Oh, certainly sir. But if you could supply your customers with everything they want, or at least have some variety in your products, you could increase your market." Sighing a bit from exasperation, I turn to leave. I am a demon… I could have just materialized everything Xavier needed. But I'll admit, it was nice being free of the Master and my other duties for a bit…

"Alright, Xavier, we are going…" I look around for the small red-head. "… Xavier?"

I spin in a circle, looking amongst the town dwellers. "Xavier?!" I walk through them, scanning the crowd for a small boy.

But I couldn't find him.

Why the hell can't I find him? I was a demon… I should be able to find him easy. But then again… he was a hybrid…

I looked, wondering what to do. He could be anywhere, taken by anyone… I tried not to panic, but it only got worse when I realized I was panicking. Me, panicking for some little kid? Anyways, I should find him… I HAD to find him…

William and Grell are NOT going to be happy…

Yes, another cliffhanger. I'll try to finish the next chapter soon!
