Final chapter here we are! Wow, it's kinda surreal to be done with such a long story like this.

I definitely enjoyed this and I hope you did too! Hugs, thank you for putting up with me and my random absences and I hope we get the chance to write together again sometime! To all you readers: THANK YOU! YOU ALL ARE AMAZING HUMANS/DEMIGODS/WHATEVER.

Now, enough of my rambling! ONWARD TO THE STORY!

Reece's POV:

I'm only at camp to pack and shower. The place seems ominous now, I feel like I won't belong here at camp until I see my dad again. It's super important, nothing else matters. Not monsters or Chiron or Roxy… Okay, maybe Roxy still matters, a little. A lot. I kiss her goodbye before I leave. She kisses me back so I must be "getting better at kissing." Then I left.

Leaving was glorious. I'd tried to leave camp time and time before, but I'd always been stopped, but this time I wasn't going to be stopped. Chiron and I argued for a bit, but he let me go. I had my sword, I would do whatever it takes to get back to my family.

He lives a couple of hours away from camp, so it's a long walk to get to his house, and I'm exhausted when I get there. And scared. Like terrified. I haven't seen my dad in four years and seeing him again after thinking he was dead is surreal. I'm anxious to see him again but worried that he's changed. Of course he's changed, I mean, I changed. I used to be a happy-go-lucky little kid, but now I'm…

I knock. He's exactly as I remembered him: light brown hair and a beard and glasses, and his own Reds hat perched on his head. He looks surprised.

"No, no can't be… They told me you were dead… The Minotaur…"

"The Minotaur killed my foster family, and he tried to take my life yesterday, but I'm still alive, dad." He pulled me into a hug.

"Reece Clark I… I… You're not dead…" Tears fell from my dad's eyes.

"No, no I'm not. I missed you."

"I missed you so much… I've been worried about you…"

"You don't have to worry dad. I've been living at camp. It's nice, but I've wanted to see you for so long…"

"Four years Reece, I can't believe that we haven't seen each other in four years… You're fourteen now! How are you fourteen now? You were a little boy just a little while ago… I missed three of your birthdays…"

"Hey, it's okay, they weren't anything special. You didn't miss much. And it doesn't matter how much time we've missed because we're both alive and we can make it back. You're my family dad. It doesn't matter to me that you've been gone because I found you again."

"You're right. Come in. It's a bit messy…"

"I like it messy." I tell him. He's scared too. He doesn't want to break me. He's always been protective at me. He must have been a wreck the past four years. But we're a family and I know everything's going to be okay. I sit down on the couch and he sits down beside me.

"You mentioned that a Minotaur almost killed you yesterday?" I tell him the story of the quest - it takes a long time to do because I have to explain about Chelsea and it's hard to talk about losing the hat because it was the last thing he ever gave me before going missing.

"It's okay that you lost the hat Reece. It was just a hat, and it was probably getting pretty small anyway. You could use another one. Here." He plucks his own hat off his head and puts it on mine. I'm surprised, but grin. It fits perfectly.

I have no reason to be scared. He's my family, and we're never going to lose each other ever again.

Yay, happy ending! You didn't seriously think we'd leave Reece without finding his dad, did you? We're not that heartless!

Well, I hope you enjoyed this wild ride! I know I did.
