Chapter 9: The unavoidable battle to come.
This chapter takes place before and during chapter 6.
In a cabin far removed from the forest their lies a wooden cabin. It is about the size of any average home, has about five windows and two bedrooms one of which belongs to Viola's father, and the other to (COUGH) THAT BITCH OF A WITCH ELLEN.Anyway Ellen in her new room sat in front of a medium sized mirror. Twisting her/Viola's blonde hair around and around. She twisted it so much that the bands keeping her hair in braids snapped off allowing her/Viola's hair to hang free. She then stopped twirling her hair and sat silent for a few seconds, then she suddenly began to laugh, her laugh was maniacal, like a serial killer would laugh at its victims. Ellen had many things to laugh about, she laughed at all the poor souls still trapped in the evil house she once lived in, she laughed at the families of those poor souls, she laughed at Viola's trusting nature. Viola, that name rang deeply in her mind. Ellen's dastardly smile then faded as if she began to regret her actions. Nothing could have been further from the truth.
Ellen: (evilly) THANK YOU VIOLA! THANK YOU FOR BEING SO STUPID, YOU'VE GIVEN ME A BODY WITH NO PAIN, AND A FATHER WHO LOVES ME! I HOPE YOU CAN REST IN PIECE KNOWING YOUR FATHER WILL TAKE GOOD CARE OF ME! THIS IS MY PERFECT VICTORY... I WIN.
Ellen was so elated in her assured she didn't even notice the black cat sitting on her new bed. The cat rose it's twisted body and spoke.
Black cat: I see you're in high spirits, that's pretty unusual for you.
Ellen turned her head in shock. This reaction was obviously what the black cat had expected.
Black Cat: (Calmly) Hello old friend how long has it been two hours maybe even three.
Ellen: (angered) What the hell are you doing here!
Black cat: (Calmly) geez can't an old friend come and say hello.
Ellen bald her/Viola's fist in sheer anger. She picked up one of Viola's old combs and tossed it at the spiteful demon. Though the impact of the comb probably wouldn't have done any thing to a normal cat however the cats body that the demon resided had begun to fall apart and was very fragile at the moment. The comb literally took half of the cats face with it. Much to Ellen's utter disgust. The cat simply laughed this off and regenerated the lost pieces off flesh.
Black cat: That wasn't very nice.
Ellen: (enraged) SHUT UP! WHY ARE YOU HERE OUR CONTRACT WAS COMPLETE! SO YOU HAVE NO REASON TO BE HERE!
Travis: Viola, are you all right up there. (i looked it up Viola's dad's name is Travis)
Ellen: Im okay Daddy. I love that word.
As Ellen snickered the black cat walked towards her with a grin on his face.
Black cat : Ellen There are two things you're wrong about. One are contract stated that i would be given one more soul and you would be forever safe from harm. I didn't get my last soul.
Ellen: (Confused) why not?
The black cat gives a sinister smile
Black cat: Because viola is still alive.
These words hit Ellen like a fist to the stomach. She didn't believe what she just heard. Viola still alive. But the cat wasn't finished.
Black cat: Two she has enlisted the help of another demon one i should have destroyed long ago.
Ellen: Damn you! Stop lying to me!
The black cat stops smiling.
Black cat: (Serious) I have no reason to lie. However i have no intention of bailing on our contract. Now master (the cat walks over to Ellen and touches her with his paw restoring her magical abilities) a battle is coming ever closer what shall you have me do.
Ellen face showed countless emotions but if one things was clear in her mind, it was the fact that she wasn't going to give up her stolen life without a fight.
And now the question on everyone's mind. is Ellen redeemable.
