Emily rang the doorbell to Grayson Manor and resisted the urge to hop from one foot to the next. To say she was scared would be an understatement, she and Victoria hadn't had a real converstation since that night and Emily had no idea what she would say when she finally saw her again, so when she got Victoria's text telling her to come over she had started freaking out.

It had taken more time than she would like to admit to get ready. She changed her outfit ten times and actually bothered with styling her hair and putting on makeup. Usually she would just throw something on and leave the house, she wanted to impress Victoria. She didn't even understand why. She didn't get the impression that Victoria cared much about looks, probably because she was out of her teenage years and those things didn't matter as much. Either way she was wearing a medium length grey dress with a darker grey long sleeved crop top over it. She was wearing a dress, Nolan would be so proud. When she had looked in the mirror she had felt ridiculous but she had felt sort of pretty.

When Victoria opened the door she felt even more ridiculous. The brunette was wearing a simple red dress but still managed to look ten times more stunning than Emily did.

"I didn't take you for the dress type," Victoria said, a light smile dancing on her lips.

"I, well, I mean, tecnically, No I'm not the dress type."

"Then why are you, oh," Victoria said, her eyes lighting up in realization.

Emily couldn't meet Victoria's eyes, " Do I really mean that much to you that you would make yourself uncomfortable just to impress me?"

Emily didn't answer her. Not because she didn't want to, she just didn't know how. How could she explain to Victoria that she was so scared. Scared that Victoria would eventually realize that she was wasting her time with Emily, that she would leave her in the dust like she never mattered.

Suddenly Victoria's grasped Emily's face in her hands and stares directly into her eyes, " Emily never change yourself. You're perfect the way you are and that is the you I care about, you're the one who's made me feel things I never thought I'd feel again."

Emily wanted to lean forward and kiss her, Victoria's lips were daringly close to her's anyway but they were still outside and even though the doorway was mostly concealed she didn't want to risk anything. She knew she was entering dangerous territory, not to mention very illegal territory.

Victoria offered Emily a glass of water after inviting her inside. Emily graciously accepted before sitting next to Victoria on the couch.

"So Conrad's not here then?", Emily felt weird refering to him as Conrad but she didn't want to use 'your husband' either.

"No he's away at a conference, we have the house to ourselves."

Emily wanted to reach out and touch Victoria or just hold her in her arms and inhale her scent but she didn't want to come off as clingy. Plus she also knew that they needed to have a conversation and depending on how that conversation went, well she could say good bye to ever touching Victoria again.

"Emily, we both have intense feelings for each other and we've acknowledged and now acted upon them. I'm not going to lie to you, I never thought it was possible for me to feel this way about someone and while that excites me it also comes with many problems. The first being you're underage and also happen to be my student. If we do come to a decision and go forward with this budding relationship then we have to ackownledge that there could be extreme consequences."

"You make it sound like a business contract."

"Well, most of the relationships in my life have been like business contracts."

"I don't want this to be like that though. I love you Victoria, I know its complicated but can we just be? Its really scary ,this situation, but I can't imagine letting you go. I won't let the best thing that ever happened to me slip through my fingers."

Victoria's lips were on her's, they were extremely soft against her's. Emily could tell that Victoria was waiting for her response before deepening the kiss, her hand on Victoria's back pushing her closer to herslef seemed to do the trick and eventually she couldn't think coherent thoughts anymore. The only thing her mind cared about was the warmth of Victoria's body underneath her fingers and the way she tasted.

She could only enjoy it for so long before the fear crept in, she had tasted heaven and she loved it, so how long before she lost it? She could feel her fingers tighten on Victoria, the more she thought about losing her the stronger her grip, she knew that the tighter she tried to hold onto something or someone the faster they'd slip through her fingers.

Victoria pushed Emily onto the couch allowing her to become the more dominant one. Emily's hands tangled in Victoria's hair trying desperately to close the gap between them. It was then that Victoria's hand slipped, accidently, under Emily's dress and caressed her inner thigh causing Emily to moan into their kiss.

It was then Victoria broke away, her breath coming in short pants, " I consider myself a woman with restraint but if we go any further I won't be able to stop myself from devouring you."

Emily didn't miss the way Victoria's voice slipped into a purr, " When you do that it makes stopping seem impossible," Emily groaned.

Victoria ruffled her hair, "I'm not one to have sex on the first date."

"So this is a date then?" Emily asked, unable to keep the grin off of her face.

Victoria rolled her eyes, "So dear, what would you like to do today."

"Anything. Anything as long as its with you. I'd even help you clean."

"Seriously?"

"No. Anything else though."

A few minutes later they were snuggled under a huge blanket in Victoria's bed. Emily was thankful for the movie playing because suddenly everything felt awkward and domesticated. Emily was aware that she has wanted this couple-y feeling but now that it was there things felt off in a way. She was certain that it was just her brain trying to ward off heartbreak.

When she glanced over at Victoria however she just felt a wave of love and admiration wash over her, she still couldn't believe that if she wanted to she could reach over and hold her. The feeling was utterly surreal to her and she never wanted it to end.

Victoria must have felt her gaze on her because she glanced over and met her eyes, almost instantly her eyes softened.

"You look at me like I'm the most important thing in the world."

Emily didn't know how to respond to that so she just ducked her head and blushed. It was amazing how much her personality changed around Victoria, she felt free and happy. Better than she had felt in years.

Emily didn't know how but somehow both her and Victoria had fallen asleep and were entwined together. Emily's head lay on Victoria's chest and Victoria's arms trapped her in a steely but warm embrace that Emily never wanted to leave. Plus Victoria smelled amazing, the smell sent butterfies racing through her stomach.

It was then that she noticed that it was pitch black outside and her father was expecting her home tonight. There was no way to wriggle out of this embrace without waking Victoria.

She got lucky and when she rolled away Victoria didn't wake up, she had been expecting her to be a light sleeper, much like herself. Victoria just rolled over to the opposite side of the bed leaving Emily staring at her exposed back.

Emily's fingertips traced the bed side table before grasping her phone. She swung her legs off the bed and checked the time.

9:45.

Crap. Any other day she would have been fine, hell she could have crawled back into bed for another hour and still made it home before her father. That wouldn't be the case tonight. He was really serious about them repairing their relationship so he would no doubt grill her about where she had been. Nolan would have to cover for her.

She rose from her spot on the bed and threw one last look at Victoria before leaving. She didn't want to leave. She wanted to stay there in Victoria's arms. She had no desire to wake Victoria but she didn't want to just leave and its not like she could leave a note. She and Victoria had already agreed to no texting unless it was absolutely necessary.

When she got home her father was sitting at the table, a worried expression crossed over his face but relaxed as soon as Emily burst through the door.

"Where were you?"

"I was out with Nolan, we were playing videogames."

"I was just about to call him, I was getting worried."

"Sorry. I was going to call but my phone died and I didn't have my charger."

David nodded and Emily felt bad for a minute, the way he just trusted her. She knew that him knowing the truth would be much worse though.

"Are you going to bed?"

Emily nodded, "Had a tiring day."

"Night sweetie, do you know how much I love you."

Emily tried to hide her smile as she answered, "Infinity times infinity."
