Chapter 11: Viola and Ellen

When we left off the long awaited battle between Witch's and demons had finally begun, and Renin and the cat decided to size each other up... with their heads. Now the quiet forest has become agitated as both demons give each other a murderous glare before pushing off of each other, landing in the tree's they proceed to violently clash just above Viola and Ellen's head's. Speaking of Ellen and Viola, These two simply stared at each. Viola seemed determined, Ellen appeared amused.

Viola: Ellen... i can already see words wont sway you, personally i don't like fighting but (Viola's eyes gleam with a fire inside of them) FOR YOU I'LL MAKE AN EXCEPTION!

Viola charges an aloof Ellen who simply raises her left hand.

Ellen: Oh Viola, you still don't know what you're up against.

It happened in a flash. Viola didn't see it coming. A glowing hand that appeared to have come out of nowhere made itself known to viola... and her stomach. The impact of the blow had sent her flying a good distance away. Renin, who witnessed the entire scene looked on in shock.

Renin: (Great shock) She can use magic?! Things just got a hell of a lot more complicated.

Black cat: I would be worrying about myself right now if i were you.

The demon cat slashed elongated it's Claws at Renin's throat. Luckily Renin instinctively put his arms in an X blocking form. He takes the blow, receiving three shallow scratches on both of his arms. He cringes in slight pain but quickly overcomes it. He proceeds to catapult himself off of another tree and retaliates against the cat with a powerful blow to the head, sending the cat plummeting to the ground, where he crashes face first. Seeing his chance Renin attempts to leave to aid Viola however he is stopped by the recovered black cat... well i wouldn't say recovered his paws are broken and the left half of his face was nearly gone.

Black cat: Tsk tsk tsk. It's rude to try walk away from someone before you finish something.

Renin: (angered) How long do you plan on being a NUISANCE.

The black cat simply smiles and rears back, Renin mirrors his actions except he's not smiling. The two demons clash once more. However Renin easily takes the advantage this time. He holds the cat by it's rotting tail.

Renin: If you continue to fight me in this body you'll be dead before i have a chance to kill you.

Black cat: You maybe right.

The cat cool demeanor is just a ruse. He originally thought Renin would have weakened a great deal while he was trapped. But this wasn't the case. Renin's demon power, despite not being a full demon, was vastly more powerful than his own. At the same time his body was falling apart. If he fled the body he would be vulnerable to Renins attacks and he wouldn't be able to defend himself as gaseous matter. (That is the demons true form) And animal bodies apparently aren't going to cut it with renin, he needed a stronger host and fast.

Concurrently Viola has just recovered from Ellen's previous attack and is currently hiding behind a large Tree. Ellen emerges from some bushes in search of her prey.

Ellen: Viola, won't you come out and play. It's no fun if i cant see you.

Viola stayed quiet. Holding her breath she peeked around the tree she was hiding behind. A near fatal mistake as Ellen was apparently aware of where Viola had hidden herself. She sent a ball of flaming magic in Viola's direction which she narrowly dodged. Ellen smiled smugly.

Ellen: Never beat me like that... what happened to you're resolve you had when you chased me around in the house. You where pretty determined to kill me then.

Viola clenched her teeth.

Viola: That was different... i was so afraid, you put me in so much pain, i was so angry.

Ellen: AW feeling self sympathy. Well listen to this. When i put you down this time there will be no pain. You wont feel a thing this time.

Viola: (ANGERED) DAMN IT ELLEN LISTEN TO YOURSELF! DO YOU REALLY WANT ME DEAD THIS BADLY, WHAT WILL KILLING ME ACCOMPLISH!

Ellen stopped smiling. She stood Silent for sometime. Then in a split second she used more of her magic to summon three magical arms. The arms bypass the tree viola is hiding behind and take viola by her/Ellen's legs tripping her and dragging her towards Ellen. Before she could be taken however viola scooped up a handful of dirt. Ellen dragged her closer.

Ellen: Viola... i have to kill you. Because i wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing you were still alive. No hard feelings but i cant live with that kind of guilt on my mind. i'd probably end up killing myself. But you don't actually care about me do you, you just want you're dad back right. Nobody in this world cares about me but you're dad cares about you. So i'll become you and then someone will care about me. So please die.

Ellen begins choking viola with her bare hands. Though she cant breathe viola smiles.

Viola: I was right. You aren't beyond saving... but you're wrong about one thing... i do care about you. Thats why i wont let that demon manipulate you anymore.

Viola throws dirt in Ellens eye's causing Ellen to drop her. Released from a death grip viola charges Ellen, who is still wiping dirt from her eye's. Viola raises her fist, with a new resolve in mind. She quickly delivers a heavy punch (Okay medium by normal person standards) to Ellen's jaw, knocking the witch back a few feet. Viola gives chase and punches her once again... and again, and again. By the fourth punch Ellen had already recovered and countered Viola's next blow with a punch of her own, causing Viola to fall on her back stunned. Ellen seeing her chance quickly places herself on Viola's stomach and begins to literally punch her face in. Ellen's enraged screams filled the forest as she continued to viciously pummel Viola, whose face had begun to swell. Ellen reared back for one more punch, However her fist was caught by Viola this time. Viola retaliates with a head shattering headbutt, knocking Ellen off oh her. Ellen was beyond enraged.

Ellen: DAMN YOU WHY DON'T YOU JUST DIE ALREADY!

Viola simply smiled. She and Ellen charge each other once more and continue the bloody battle. Each time one made a move the other made a move just as debilitating. Viola would kick, Ellen would punch and it went on like that for at least an hour. Until both had expended so much energy that they began to feebly slap each other (viola) or pull the others hair (Ellen) until finally they both collapsed. A few minutes later they both rose again ready to settle the fight. Their wounds where equally horrific. The difference being Viola could move, Ellen could not all of her energy even her magic energy had left her body. Viola began limping ever closer to Ellen. Ellen was terrified she could do nothing to defend herself.

Ellen: Please stay away.

Viola comes closer.

Ellen: please go away. (crying)

Viola was now in grabbing distance and raised both of her arms. Ellen braced herself for death. However this was not the case. Viola threw herself over Ellen and squeezed both arms around her back. She was hugging her. This action confused the petrified Ellen.

Viola: (tearfully) please... no more... fighting... You're my best friend Ellen... I LOVE YOU.

Those three words. The words Ellen had never genuinely heard before. Not from her mother, not even from her father those three words came from the girl she had wronged so many times in the past.

Ellen: You would say those words after everything i did to you?

Viola: Yes i would. i-

Viola's sentence is interrupted by tears falling to the ground. They weren't hers, they where Ellen's and with those tears it was apparent Viola had finally gotten through to Ellen. Ellen smiled.

Ellen: Viola could you please say that again.

Viola: I LOVE YOU.

Ellen: I LOVE YOU TO (Crying) SIS.

Ellen hugs viola back. The battle between the two is over. They have become friends once again.

But the battle between the demons Renin and the black cat still rages on when the cat finds himself in a desperate situation how far will he go to get out.
