Ace: Yay! I finally hit chapter 10! And I didn't wait very long between updates! Hooray for me!
And no, there isn't any Link x Isa. It's just Link trying to convince Isa that being an idiot is a bad idea. (I totally agree with Link!)
In this chapter Isa keeps saying "death" and "killing", but she's referring to the Primids she and Link defeat. No people killed... Yet. (Or I could be lying, for all you guys know...)
Anyhow, on with the chapter.

Chapter 10: The Defense of the Manor, Part 2
Isa
As I registered that order to the Primids in my brain, I went and sliced two of them in half with one swing. Link noticed this and yelled at me. "You seriously need to get your impulsiveness checked out! For all we know, we could have died!" He went and killed some Primids that went to attack him and muttered something about hating being a babysitter to me. I rolled my eyes.
"Who cares?" I asked Link as I destroyed five Puppits that dropped from the ceiling in front of me.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" Link took out a bomb and threw it at some enemies, who preceded to get destroyed.
"No, I'm not trying to get killed easily." I jumped over some Mites and slashed them, killing them instantly. "I just want to beat the enemies up as fast as possible."
"Yeah, but it would be a good idea to not do anything stupid." Link slid underneath a giant Primid and slashed from behind, sending it to kingdom come.
"I always do stupid things," I responded as I attempted to grab a Scope Primid and use it attack its on friends with its fire attacks. Fate was probably rolling on the floor laughing its head off when I did this, because the Primid broke out of my grasp and shot me square in the chest. Also, I failed miserably at having the scope Primid shoot its allies. Double fail.
"Ow!" I fell backwards and landed on my back. My head began spinning, and my one thought was, How the heck am I not dead or dying? That should have killed me. My chest ached, and I couldn't get up easily.
Link came to my side and helped me up. "Are you being an idiot because I told you not to do anything stupid, or is it because you're impulsive and just happen to do what we do not want you to do?"
"I'm leaning the fact that I'm impulsive," I muttered.
Link sighed and blocked a Boom Primid's boomerang that was thrown at him. "And you just found out today that you might be impulsive..." Link pulled his own boomerang out and returned the favor to it. "Nailed it," he said.
"DUCK!" I tackled Link to the ground as a Bullet Bill hit the ground we were once standing on, and it exploded upon impact. I jumped back up and saw some Metal Primids heading towards us. Cursing, I swung the cat head on Mizineko to my right, and the charm glowed once again. After the charm gained enough momentum and power, I spun around and let go of the chain near the cat charm. It zoomed to the Primids at a deadly speed, and when the charm got close to them, it returned into its original form- a small white dagger- and speared four of the Metal Primids, destroying them easily. I yanked back on the chain and caught it with my right hand. I held both the dagger and my sword menacingly, silently challenging anyone to approach. Link was up already and was fighting with some Autolances and giant Primids that had suddenly appeared. "What type of fighting style is that?" He asked.
"One that will eventually cause me to be unpredictable," I replied. More Metal Primids came my way, and I began dealing with them.
Link got hit be a Scope Primid and winced a little. "Or cause you to wind up in a hospital if you mess up."
"Good point," I responded as I cut the last Metal Primid. Link had defeated his enemies, and came over to me. "So I presume that the charm that made you run off was that important?" He asked.
I nodded. "If I didn't have it, my fighting style would be less effective."
Link suddenly looked past me and his eyes narrowed. "No way." He muttered.
I whipped around and saw two Primids running down the hallways. Without thinking, I dashed after them.
Link caught up with me. "Don't let them out of your view!"
"Of course not!" I responded.
We ran down several hallways, and when the two Primids saw us, they ran faster. They turned right and ran down a really long, bleak hallway.
Link pulled his bow out (while running at Olympic runner speed) and notched an arrow while I swung Neko's chain again. Then, Link let the arrow fly and I let go of the chain near the dagger. Both missiles found their marks, and the Primids disintegrated. Two glowing gray rings fell on the ground where they once were. Curiously, I picked them up to exam them.
Link stood beside me. "Shoot! We're in hallway that leads to the Power of Smash!"
"Good for you," I told Link.
He sighed. "Isa, you are not comprehending the situation. This power is dangerous to use if you don't train yourself correctly or have one of us help you harness its power."
"So basically it's as powerful as a nuke?"
"Nah. Four nukes."
"I'll pass on using it. I'm kinda trying this thing called, 'Do not get anything nuclear or anything that has the power of a nuke.' So I'll take me leave now."
Link laughed. "You're crazy for grabbing a Scope Primid but refusing to use that." He pointed towards the door at the end of hallway.
"The prevailing opinion is that I am either crazy or insane, albeit for different reasons."
"I have a lot of reasons to believe that," he responded.
"I'm sure you do."
"...There's something that's bugging me." He said after a few seconds.
"The yammer away," I said quietly and sarcastically. To be honest, though, I wanted to hear Link, so when he glared at me, I immediately apologized and listened.
"These Primids we just fought didn't disintegrate the way they use to a year ago. They would spin around the area for a second and then explode into a bunch of the bugs. Did they change the way they die to mess with us, or is it a new person?"
"I have no idea what to say about that, so I'm going to be quiet," I told Link.
Mizineko began to yell Liar! Liar! Liar! Stupid cat person. She read my thoughts, so she knew that I was lying to avoid telling Link about the games, and I was going to blame someone for the change, but I wasn't sure if it was him...
Link looked at me funny. "Who the heck is yelling, 'Liar! Liar! Liar!'? It's driving me nuts..."
"Not important," I responded, knowing that lying to Link would equal trouble for me later, but I was focused on looking at the rings and was not in the mood to explain everything to Link. I looked inside of the one rings, and I saw the initials RDQ etched deeply in the ring. The blood drained from my face, and I began to shake a little. Link grabbed my shoulder. "Isa! What's wrong?"
"I-It's h-him," I stuttered. I fell back a bit, and Link caught me. "Who Isa?" He asked.
"R-Runi."
"Who's Runi?" Link asked calmly, but he was probably freaking out too at my sudden change in personality.
"He's-" I began.
"If you want to live," a deep voice said, "then move out of the way."
Pit
Where the heck are Link and Isa? I thought to myself as I ran to the control room. Link said he was going to bring Isa back, but he failed to return. Did he get pulled into another mission, or did Isa kidnap him? As crazy as it sounds, I found myself thinking that Link was pulled into another problem BECAUSE of Isa, who reminded me of a prankster who always bugs everyone else and is a reckless train wreck. In order to find them, I volunteered to go to the control room where the security cameras were. We were winning the battle in the area we were in, so it wasn't a big deal that I left, mainly because Dark Pit did more fighting than I did, and I was a little jealous of him.
...
So maybe I did this to get recognition from the others instead of being worried for my friend's safety or the Manor's defense. I don't know why I chose to do this, but what mattered at the moment was finding our two allies.
I kicked the door opened and dashed inside, jumping over the tables there until I was at the monitor section. After spending several seconds looking at the screens, I saw Isa and Link chasing after two Primids. They were near the training room area, and I was glad that they weren't dead. Now I just had to let the others know.
I got up so that I could grab one of the microphones to alert the others when I heard a gunshot and felt a bullet enter my left wing and shoulder.
Ace: Double cliffhanger? And the second time in a row? Yeah, I didn't really realize that until I wrote this. Oops.
Isa: Geez. That's evil.
Ace: And a total accident.
Isa: Yeah right.
Ace: I'm serious Isa!
Isa: Whatever. *Leaves*
Ace: Anyhow, I might update again soon. Not entirely sure though. Depends on my schedule... And I'm no longer on hiatus! Yay!
One last thing: I have to go rewrite part of chapter 6 because I had a different enemy in my head at the time.
Samus: Because you now made the villain Runi, correct? That changes everything.
Ace: Yeah. It should be updated soon though.
Samus: All right then.
Ace: Until next time. This is Ace, logging off.
