Ace: That was evil of me, making Isa and Pit almost die. Oh well. At least we'll found out what happens next...
I would recommend reading the author's note at the end in order to understand the last scene better.
Disclaimer: I do not own Super Smash Bros.
Chapter 12: The Three Soldiers Missing
Zelda
"Did we win?" I ask as we saw the enemy flee. We were in the middle of fighting when a young male covered in blood appeared and called a retreat, confusing the heck out of us and the enemy.
"More or less," Dark Pit muttered grimly. "Isa, Link, and Pit haven't returned, and there are many Smashers that have been defeated."
I sighed and surveyed the scene. Many were on the ground, battered and bruised, but they were mostly okay.
Ike walked over to Pichu, who was one of two Smashers defeated, and gently lifted her up. "We need to take them to the medical bay. Dr. Mario should be there." He handed Pichu to me, and went to go help Pikachu, who was also defeated.
I nodded and walked to the Manor with Pichu and Pikachu
After 10 minutes of finding the rest of the Smashers and moving the injured ones to the Medical Bay, we were gathered in the library, trying to figure out what to do next. I pulled out some paper and began to write down who was here and who was in the hospital. This is what the paper looked like after I filled it out:

"If Pichu and Pikachu were defeated, why didn't they turn into trophies?" Mega Man asked as he looked over the sheet.
"I don't-a have the faintest idea," Mario replied solemnly. "It must-a been the spell that-a made them collapse."
Samus looked at Mega Man. "We won't know for sure until we get the results from Dr. Mario. Until then, we wait."
"Why are those kids missing?" Snake mumbled as he took the sheet from Mega Man. He pointed to the section that had the missing Smashers.
"Isa ran to get something from her room and Link went to bring her to the battlefield. When they didn't return, Pit went to go look for them," I responded.
"So, if they are dead then it's Isa's fault..." Samus muttered.
"It's not entirely her fault. Link realized she was gone and went to fetch her and Pit went because we were worried about Link's disappearance. We weren't really worried about Isa at all. We were more focused on getting Link and Pit back to the battlefield than Isa because Link and Pit are my friends, whom I care deeply for. They didn't have to go. And personally, I think that she is a nutcase who is attempting to be sane, but is failing horrible."
"What was she getting?" Ness asked after a few seconds.
"Some charm that she needed," Marth replied as he waved his hand to dismiss the question. "Not sure why it was worth so much. She can stroll into James Avery and buy a similar one there..."^
I know why, Roy thought softly. I can't believe that Isa was an idiot for forgetting it...
"Roi-kun, care to share your thoughts?" I asked politely.
He jumped and looked at me, "I hate it when you read my mind. Couldn't you read it and then tell everyone?"
"You need to think it first," I replied. "I can't just guess your thoughts."
He sighed. "That 'charm' is not a charm. It's a dagger."
"It's a charm," Diana said.
"Sure. A charm nearly took my head off a year ago," Roy muttered sarcastically.
"How do you know this?" Snake asked.
"For one thing, I've fought Isa on more occasions than I would like to admit, and second, after this one battle, she showed me how the charm was really a dagger, hidden by illusions."
"She can control illusions?" Peach asked in shock. The rest of us looked puzzled. If Isa can control illusions, how powerful was she then? And why didn't she tell anyone about this?
Roy shook his head. "That's the thing. She denies it, claiming that the sword had powers and she merely asks for it to hide the dagger, but once I saw her staring at a ladybug, and the next thing I know, it was gone."
"She could be-a lying," Mario muttered.
"We can find out what Isa's deal is when we find her, Link, and Pit," I declared as I turned and exited the library. Marth, Ike, Dark Pit, Roy, and Samus turned to follow me.
"We'll look for them," Dark Pit stated.
"Then go," Snake nodded and began to talk to Mario.
"Where do we start?" Roy asked as we gathered in the Entrance Hall.
"How about we follow the trail of blood and feathers?" Ike asked.
"Say what?" I replied.
Ike pointed to the ground. "It's likely Pit's, because he probably went this direction to look for Link and Isa. Also, he is the only here with white feathers unless he dyes it for a battle when it's team mode, as I doubt that Isa puts on fake wings on a regular basis."
"Let's go that way," Samus said as she pointed towards the hallway. "It looks like it leads there, as he probably left the Command Center, where the cameras are."
Dark Pit nodded and dashed ahead, with the rest of us following. When we got near the hallway that led to the Power of Smash, Dark Pit stopped suddenly and stared down the hallway. When we joined him, I saw what happened, and screamed.
It was Link. Not that he was scary (he's not most of the time). He was covered in blood. His shoulder looked it was stabbed, and there was a nasty gash on his chest. He had Isa slung over his right shoulder and Pit underneath his left arm. Pit had some bullets in his body, along with a deep cut on his left arm. Isa had two cuts on her face, with some cuts here and there on her body, and some nasty gashes on her legs and feet. Both Isa and Pit looked knocked out, and Link was on the verge of collapsing.
Dark Pit dashed over and grabbed Pit from Link's arm while Samus picked Isa up. Ike and I ran to support Link. "What happened?" I asked frantically.
Link painfully turned to me. "C-chaos everywhere. Pit g-got shot by a P-pyscho and the guy w-went after us... Lots of attacks, l-lots of blood, and Is-sa got knocked-" Link stopped, his eyes rolling into his head as he slumped into Ike's arms.
"Link!" I cried as I shook him a little, hoping he wouldn't die. "LINK!"
Isa
If this is death, I thought painfully as my mind regained consciousness, then it sucks raw eggs.
Isa! Mizineko cried happily. You're alive!
Sonic is a blue hedgehog that jogs at Mach 5*, I responded back after a few seconds
Can you remember anything that happened? She asked concernly.
The events prior to my unconsciousness flooded back into my head. I winced and moaned. Seriously? Must you do the "Oh my gosh, this craziness happened to me moment?
Yeah, she said after a bit. I had to. I want to make sure you don't have amnesia.
Wouldn't the Sonic comment be enough?**
Maybe, she replied. Wake up. Some of the Smashers think you're dead.
Why? Couldn't they check my pulse?
You act like you're in a coma. Now, wake up.
Do I have to? I whined as I mentally yawned. I'm tired.
Mizineko lost her patience with me. I have no clue what she did, but it was like she sent an electrical impulse down my spine, and I jerked up, officially awake.
Seriously? I asked Mizineko. That was not fun.
"Isa?" I heard someone ask.
I blinked and realized that Zelda was talking to me. "Yeah?"
"At least you're awake. We were worried that you weren't going to wake up."
"With that amount of dark energy Seth sent into my body," I muttered quietly to myself, "I shouldn't have been able to wake up that easily, even if the spell was for me to go insane, unless Neko did something to make me wake faster..."
"How do you know this?" Link asked.
I jumped back and fell off my bed. "When did you appear? You scared the hell out of me." I slowly got up and tried to stand, but as I fell, Marth came up behind me and laid me on my bed, much to my annoyance. I scowled at him. He smirked back, or at least I thought he did. He may have been smiling, or I am going insane, thinking he showed emotion other than concern.***
"I've been awake for the past hour. Same with Pit," Link replied.
"You're in a hospital room, in case you didn't notice," Zelda said.
"Makes sense. How long was I out?"
"Two hours."
"Yeah, there is no way I could have woken up by natural means."
"And you know this how?" Pit asked, scaring me with his presence. Scowling, I waved his question away. "Not important right now. I'll tell you guys later. Right now, I want to know who is here so I don't get a heart attack!"
"Like me?" Roy chuckled as he snuck up behind me. I screamed and attempted to hit him, but it failed, as he knew that it was coming.
"Precisely."
"That's everyone who is here. Diana's not here, for some weird reason. Dark Pit, Ike and Samus are helping Snake with exploring the Manor with the Smashers who are more or less okay, in order to see if the Manor is safe," Marth told me as he made sure I wasn't trying to kill anyone. When I stopped moving, he moved towards the door. With that, Roy and Zelda followed.
"Where are you going?" Link asked.
"To tell Mario that you guys are okay. And the three of you are not allowed to leave the room without Dr. Mario's permission."
"WHAT?!" Pit, Link, and I screamed at once.
"You're injured, and you need to recover, so you can't move unless you're cleared to do so." With that, the three of them left.
"Now what?" Pit asked as he fidgeted with his bed sheets.
"We wait awkwardly for hours and slowly go insane," I replied.
Link shot me a glance. "I was about to say patience but your idea sounds more plausible. We just wait to heal and go insane at the same time."
"I'm going to bed. I'm tired." Pit moved the curtains around his bed and fell asleep. Shrugging, Link and I did the same thing, but I lay awake, replaying the day's events that had occurred in my head.
I'm positive that Runi told Seth to attack the Manor, but why did he do that? Mizineko?
No response. I sighed, and then it hit me.
He wants the Power of Smash to make himself stronger and more powerful to reform the world the way he wants it to be. But, if he got that, then would he still want my powers? I'm glad that Seth didn't recognize me- Wait! They must think that I'm at Senshi Academy! Blast! I hope that it wasn't attacked... And, now that I think about it, I don't think that Runi told Seth about me. At least, I hope not. If he did, then I am dead and Seth is an idiot for not recognizing me.
To calm myself down, I sat up in my hospital bed and looked at my right arm. Taking a deep breath, I stared at hand intently. I blinked, and my hand was now skeletal, but my arm was normal. I touched it, and it felt boney. But I could still see the faint outline of my hand, and when I noticed that, my looked normal again. I poked it, and it felt like a regular arm.
My ability to manipulate illusions is still weak, thanks to Runi. But I can use it a little bit, and probably see through illusions. I was kinda hoping my whole arm would look like bones, but whatever. I can always try again later.
With that, I fell back on my bed and fell asleep.
Ace: Originally, Isa wasn't going to show her ability/power till like chapter 17 or so, but as I wrote this chapter, I realized that it would be better to reveal it now. And this partially explains her vendetta against Runi, but it's kinda fuzzy as of right now. Also, Isa CANNOT turn into a skeleton. She just focused and imagined her arm as a bone. Or rather, attempted to.
As for the Smashers in the hospital, I originally planned for more Smashers to be knocked out. Then I realized that it would make writing the story more difficult and be really inconvenient for Smash Manor, so I made it MUCH smaller. Don't worry, Pikachu and Pichu will wake up in chapter 14.
Here are some notes:
^Like Marth has been to James Avery. I highly doubt that a cat charm/dagger the size of golf ball can be bought there. And I don't see him in the store unless Isa or Caeda drags him in there… Scratch that, Isa wouldn't go there unless Katie or Elendia drag her in there. Isa is more likely to go to GameStop or a place with swords and/or books.
Question: Do you think that Marth could go to James Avery? I want an honest answer in your review.
*This is Isa's equivalent of pointing the obvious out. After Mizineko talked to her, she realized that she wasn't dead.
**Again, like the comment above, but they may not be enough to show that Isa doesn't have amnesia. Mizineko should have asked how many siblings she had…
***Despite Isa and Marth's slight dislike for each other, they would at least make sure that the other hasn't died because they have to constantly deal with each other and don't want to be heartless if the other dies, and this paragraph's structure makes zero sense to me.
Anything else I need to say?
Ike: Other than the fact that you need to rewrite Isa's dream, nothing.
Ace: When did you appear?!
Ike: I've actually been hiding here since chapter 10. You never noticed that I was here.
Ace: Okay then... But you're right, I need to fix that sequence. Until next time!
Ace
