Ace: Here's the 17th chapter. I was going to call it "Lila" but when you read the end of the chapter, you can see why I made the change to the chapter title.

Chapter 17: La Mariposa del Cielo
(The Sky Butterfly)
Isa
Sparkly purple was not what we were expecting when Link kicked the door down. We all shielded our eyes, but it was still there.
"This is overkill..." I muttered to myself.
Marth overheard me. "Agreed."
Zelda muttered something, and the sparkles dimmed. I blinked, and I put my hands down. "Thanks Zelda."
"No problem. Let's proceed."
With that, Link led the way. As we kept walking along the halls, we noticed that the place seemed... empty. I shivered on and was searching for a warmer jacket (if I had one) in my bag when I felt someone touch my shoulder.
Panicking, I back fisted the person behind me and heard Marth yelp. I turned to him and began to freak out. "Oh my g- I'm so sorry Marth. ¡Perdóname! ¡Piense que tú fuiste-"*
Marth gently grabbed my arms. "Calm down, Isabela."
I froze. Marth stared at my eyes, and said with a laugh, "Nothing's broken, although a nasty bruise might appear on my shoulder later. Don't worry about that."
We kept staring at each other, and I noticed the kindness in Marth's eyes, and it seemed that time had stopped-
"Oi! Marth, stop flirting with your girlfriend!" Link yelled with a smirk. "It's killing baddies time, not spending time with Sora! You can do that after we defeat Runi!"
Marth and I jumped back in shock. Everyone began to laugh, and I whipped my shurikens out.
Link looked at me with a smile, trying not to laugh. "Easy... I'm just joking around."
I huffed. "We need to be careful to let the enemy know our position. We're lucky that nothing attacked us just now. Any video cameras anywhere?"
Everyone shook his or her head. Mizuneko woke up. What are you doing, Isabela?
After slipping my shurikens in my pockets, I put my hands together and began to concentrate. Moving my hands over my hair, I imagined it being a soft brown, like the color of crumpled leaves. Focusing harder, I imagined my eyes as a hazel color. I heard some gasps, so at least I was using illusions. Knowing my luck, my hair was polka-dotted. Oh well.
Pretty good, Mizuneko said. You look like an average girl now.
Really?
Yep, she purred. Are you done?
Yes, I thought. My eyes opened, and everyone was looking at me like I had grown a dragon tail. Which was kind of what I did.
Zelda went up to me and touched my hair. "It looks natural... Are you truly a brunette?"
I laughed. "If I was, then I am a really big liar. I put some illusions around me to change my appearance," I said quietly as my Spanish accent appeared. Normally, I spoke like an American, but I had grown up speaking Spanish. "To you, I'm a brunette with hazel eyes. To someone who can see through illusions, I have my blue-green hair. I'm doing this on the off chance that Runi is here. I don't want him to recognize me."
Roy nodded. "Smart idea... Why didn't you do it earlier?"
I sighed. "It didn't occur to me until now."
Dark Pit scoffed. "So much for a smart plan..."
"There is only one person here", Mizuneko said as her sword jumped out of my sheath and turned into a blue cat.
Everyone but me jumped back. "What the heck?" Ike yelled.
"It's me, Mizuneko."
"You're a cat!" Link exclaimed.
Mizuneko sighed. "I have three forms: the sword, this cat form, and a human form where I am a young woman with blue hair, blue eyes, blue cat ears, and a blue tail."
Pit shot me a glance. "Why didn't you tell us about this?!"
I scratched Mizuneko's ear. "It never came up... And I didn't know that she was going to do this."
Mizuneko stretched her body. "At least I'm out of that sword... And cats are unpredictable."
"Except for when it comes to pen lasers," I muttered as I stood still. Mizuneko jumped onto my shoulder (she's a small cat, about the size of my hand).
Diana looked at me. "If she's your sword... Then how can you fight? You'll be sidelined as you'll run out of-"
I held up my knife that I had secretly been carrying this entire time
"You are full of tricks," Marth said.
I smiled. "That isn't all I can do. Come on, we're wasting time."
As we continued on, Zelda came up to me. "Belle..."
I shot her an annoyed look. "That's worse than Bella, but continue."
"How does Mizuneko know that there is only one person here?"
"She can use the force," I said with a grin.
Zelda's jaw dropped. After a few seconds, I sighed. "You read my mind, correct?"
Zelda shook her head. "Must you joke like that? It could have been easier to say, 'She uses sonar similar to bats that moves through walls.'"
Mizuneko meowed. "Sora's weird like that."
"I am," I admitted. "You could have asked Mizuneko that question, Zelda."
Zelda blinked. "You didn't hit Mizuneko for calling-"
"Me Sora? She knows me super well, so she can call me Sora, although she prefers to call me Isabela. And I never hit Mizuneko."
Zelda thought for a second. "So... Only people you trust and who know you well can call you Sora?"
"Or any other name," I admitted.
Zelda grinned. "Are you going to let your boyfriend Marth call you Sora before I can?"
Normally, I have issues hitting people who don't do Tae Kwon Do or some other martial art (except for enemies and my brothers. The times I hit Marth were accidents), but I went and elbowed Zelda hard. She squeaked. "Sorry Isa. I was just teasing you!"
I sighed. "Don't do it again."
With that hanging in the air, I proceeded to collide into Ike, who had stopped. I fell down, and Mizuneko was now perched on my head.
"Link was right..." I muttered.
Marth came over and helped me up. "Right about what?" Ike asked.
"Crashing into you is like hitting a brick wall.* Why did we stop?"
Ike gazed ahead. I looked up and notice that the lights had dimmed significantly. A door loomed before us, and the door was purple too.
"This is insane. There's way too much purple!" I complained.
Link ignored me as he went up to the door and knocked. Except this time, the doors were blasted open. We all looked at the one person in shock.
She had long purple hair and wore a purple frilly dress. Her throne was varying shades of purple and she carried a lilac scepter. I can see why everyone else was staring at her. But I froze in place for a different reason.
She had the same blue eye color as Takahiro, and she looked a bit like him, which unnerved me greatly.
This must be Seth's curse of insanity, I told myself. That's the only logic explanation for this.
The girl stood up. "I am Lila, one of Runi de Quinn's lieutenants. Who are you?"
I walked ahead and stood before her. "Our names do not matter at this moment. We are looking for Seth Darkwood."
Lila squinted at me. "You look familiar..."
"I look like many people," I responded.
Lila sighed. "You want my boyfriend? Well, sorry, he is already committed to me."
"That's not what I meant..." I muttered. "We need to question him."
Lila crossed her legs. "For what? For attacking Smash Manor? For learning forbidden magic? For killing that boy at Senshi Academy?"
My eyes narrowed. "What?"
Lila sighed. "We were walking in this forest a few months ago when a girl with blue-green hair came up to us and informed us that we were trespassing on school property. Seth started to argues with her that it was a free country*, and some boy- her brother, I believe- came up and began to yell at Seth. Seth got pissed and insulted the boy. The boy angrily pulled his sword out, so Seth shot him. The boy collapsed and his sister flipped out and slashed his chest, scarring my poor Seth. We escaped. I presumed that the boy died. He deserved it."
Her words shattered me, and the event flashed in my mind. Gripping my knife, I shoved Mizuneko off of me and lunged at Lila.
Lila looked surprised and was barely able to block it with her scepter. Pressing a button on it, enemies appeared from the ceiling, forcing my friends to fight them. I began to yell at her as I relentlessly attacked her.
"You killed my brother!" I yelled at her.
Lila looked super confused. "You look nothing like the girl- Wait, you have the same facial features!"
I sighed and slashed again. She avoided it and swung at me. I parried it. We kept going back and forth for a while, and that annoyed me, so I suddenly kicked her in the stomach.
Lila was sent flying backwards. I couldn't hear much fighting behind me, so I assumed that my friends had ended their battles.
Lila slowly got up. "You're a good fighter, so I'll make a deal with you. You go to these coordinates with some "Sky Butterfly" that Runi talks nonstop about, and I'll make sure that you'll be spared. I'll even have Seth apologize for killing your brother."
"What about my friends?" I asked.
"I'll ask Runi," Lila said. She pulled a paper out and sent it to me. I caught it. "You know..." Lila said. "I could totally give you a make-over. You would look good in purple... Violet. That's what I'll call you."
"Get back here!" I yelled as I dashed to her. She pressed a button on her staff, and a trapdoor appeared beneath her. She fell through it, and I didn't stop quickly enough, so instead of tackling Lila, I collided into the wall.
I'm such an idiot, I told myself.
Before I could get up, I saw Mizuneko walk to me. "Are you okay?" She asked.
"I let the person who allowed my brother to die escape."
Mizuneko looked at me. "I'm sorry Isa. But we need to regroup with the others."
I slowly got up and limped towards the others, noticing that my illusion was gone due the amount of energy it took to create it. Link nodded when I stopped walking. Diana didn't look so good, so she went outside for fresh air, which made me worry for a second.
"The best course of action is to do as Lila says so we know what we are up against... But what is the 'Sky Butterfly'? I didn't see it on her ceiling... Although I saw a pink butterfly painted on it." Link admitted.
"What about Isa's bracelet?" Pit asked. "It has a butterfly on it."
Roy shook his head. "Doubt it. It's not painted like a sky..."
"Mariposa," I said suddenly. I had been in shock after thinking about it, and with a sinking feeling I knew what the Sky Butterfly was.
"Huh?" Zelda asked.
"Mariposa is Spanish for "butterfly". It's also my second middle name. Runi thought it was my last name, despite the fact that I told him that it wasn't on several occasions..."
"Why did you hide that from me?" Mizuneko asked.
"Because I don't like being called Butterfly!" I shouted in frustration.
"Sora Isabela Mariposa Sentōki," Marth said quietly. "Sounds like a name fit for a queen or princess*."
"Don't tell my brothers that. They'll tease me to no end..." I muttered.
"That's great and all," Roy interjected, "but how does that relate to the 'Sky Butterfly'?"
"What does Sora mean?" I asked.
After a few seconds, Ike replied, "Sky."
As the words hung in the air, everyone's eyes widened. "You're the Sky Butterfly?" Zelda asked.
"Yep. If you call me that, I will kill you," I told her.
Link sighed. "We're not handing you over to Runi; you're one of us and that seems like a bad idea for many reasons. But how do we proceed forward?"
I thought for a second. "Wait if I make it look like we are handing "it" over? Runi didn't tell Lila that I was a person, and it may just be her there with Seth..."
"What if Runi is there?" Dark Pit asked.
I thought about it. "Then we make it look like we didn't know what is was. Lila doesn't know my name, which is actually helpful. And I can always beat up Runi if he sees me."
Marth shook his head. "I don't like this plan, but it works. How about if we don't discuss it once we leave the building in case we get tailed."
"Deal," we all replied. With that, Link looked at the coordinates.
Ace: Another chapter complete. Poor Isa, having Mariposa as a second middle name...
Here is Shiro's second middle name, for those who are curious:
Colibrí- Humming bird
If you took out the first middle name and the last name, I basically named my characters:
Isa- Sora Mariposa = Sky Butterfly
Shiro- Shiro Colibrí = White Hummingbird
That was kind of evil of me... Because of that I'm not doing it with Hiro or Takahiro... Like I would name a character "esteemed cricket" or "righteous hero skull", respectively...
Notes:
* If you were running, Isa. How fast were you walking if it felt like a brick wall?
* Seth, it's illegal to trespass on private property, even though it's a school area. That's their training grounds.
* Interesting comment, Marth.
Spanish:
*Perdóname! ¡Piense que tú fuiste- - I'm sorry! I thought that you were-
Lila's stupid for not releasing her soldiers earlier, but then again, she was doing her make-up when the S,ashers entered.
That is all! Until next time!
