Ace: This chapter was difficult to write, so I blame Isa and the events in this chapter. It's not a joke; they seriously made this chapter complicated.
Also, chapter twenty is here! Yeah!

Chapter 20: Adrenaline
Isa
"Marth!" I screamed as I dashed through the maze. "Marth! Zelda! Roy! Can you hear me?"
I didn't hear a response. Part of me knew that they were deeper in the maze, but the other part was hoping that they were close. My panic level began to rise a little, but I pushed to the side.
"Isa!" Link yelled. I turned to see if he was behind me, and as I confirmed it, I tripped and fell to the ground. I skidded a bit, and pain flared in my right arm.
"Are you okay?" Pit asked as he helped me up. "That was a really nasty fall right there."
"Marth, Zelda, and Roy are captured. That's not okay!" I yelled.
"At least you're speaking," Dark Pit sighed. "So where do we find them?"
Link sighed. "I can't really access my wolf powers, and I'll try to figure out which is the best direction right now, so don't distract me." He then began to ponder, leaving me quite impatient.
Diana blinked. "Um..."
"Long story involving a princess named Midna and a few insane idiots who gained controlled of powerful abilities like twilight and whatnot," I explained quickly.
"Like the movie Twilight?" Diana asked.
I shook my head. "No. And I would have killed everyone in that movie in a heartbeat."
"Let's try this way," Link pointed to the left.
"And I'll go this way with Mizuneko. Maybe we can find them if we split up."
Pit began to laugh. "So you can spend time with your boyfriend?"
A ninja star missed his head. Pit jumped back, eyes widened as it got embedded in the wall. "You nearly killed me!"
"My finger slipped," I replied with a bored tone, but I wanted to laugh at Pit's expression.
Link growled at me. "I'm trying to make a decision. And don't go around killing people, Ballerina!"
I blinked. "Ballerina?" That was new. I never understood the concept of ballet, so I was curious as to why I was called that.
Link face palmed. "I meant Bella."
"I'm insulted," I replied teasingly.
Link sighed again. "Fine. You go that way and the rest of us go this way, although I sense that something bad will happen."
"You're lucky Elendia isn't here," Mizuneko purred. "Or else we would be dead due to a vision she would see because of that comment."
"Send us a signal if you run into trouble," Ike said, ignoring Mizuneko.
Nodding, I immediately dashed off to the right while the others followed Link.
Mizuneko clung onto my shoulder as I tore through the maze. "You run fast," she purred.
"You run slow, though," I countered. "It's best if I run while you use your cat echolocation."
"Are you sure?"
Distracted, I ran into a wall. Slightly disoriented, I shook my head. "I know that cats normally do not have echolocation, but I'm trying to figure out how you have it."
"I'm gifted. Try going right.
"Stay away from me!" Zelda's voice yelled off to the right, presumably at an enemy.
I turned right mid-skid and almost crashed into a stone wall. Ignoring that, I tore off into the direction of Zelda's voice.
Ahead of me was a clearing that was rather spacious. I could see Zelda, which was a good thing.
What was bad was that Marth and Roy were knocked out in Petey Piranha's cages, and Zelda was unconscious on the floor.
I wanted to scream at the boss, but that might endanger everyone.
"Isa... Why don't you use your signature techniques? They've worked on entire arm-"
"Yeah, yeah," I interjected. "Don't remind me. I already have enough trouble when people say 'field trips' near me..."
"This is technically a field trip," she countered with a purr.
I shot her a glare. "Shut up."
She nodded. "Just kidding, Sora."
Taking a deep breath, I crouched down and removed my backpack. Mizuneko got off my shoulder and stood near my backpack.
"Ready?" She asked.
"Of course."
"Go."
Steathily, I walked behind Petey Piranha. Thankfully, he was busy looking at Zelda. I was behind him when I pulled out my dagger and taking careful aim, I stabbed his back, then quickly retreated. He got enraged and whipped around, but he didn't see anything.
I was actually on top of the wall, but to the average onlooker, I was merely a part of the wall and the sky, while I thanked luck for my powers not backfiring like that time I was at that castle in cave...
Petey Piranha looked confused to see an empty wall, which was part of my plan. When he turned away, I pulled my ninja stars out and flung them at him, then nimbly jumped off the wall to dash to Zelda's side.
Petey Piranha turned around, but I wasn't there. He roared in frustration and slammed the cages together, causing Marth and Roy to wake up in shock. Upon realizing where they were, they attempted to escape the cages, only to fail miserably, as the stupid cages hadn't opened.
I dashed at Petey Piranha and kicked his legs, and immediately rolled underneath him. He again missed that I was there, and proceeded to slice my dagger at his back again, and when he began to turn, I grabbed his arm and leaped on top of him, landing a blow onto his head.
Petey Piranha roared, and I fell off of him.
"Isa!" Roy and Marth yelled as I painfully fell to the ground and rolled a bit. After stopping, I slowly got up and stared at Petey Piranhaz
Then it hit me. I had to destroy the cages to free my friends. I wanted to smack myself for not remembering that, but there wasn't enough time for smacking anything.
I reached behind my back and pulled my short sword out as I got up. Crossing my arms, I lunged at Petey Piranha. Throwing my arms out, I hit both cages (and scared the heck out if both Roy and Marth). I don't know how much damage was given, but it sure annoyed Petey. He jumped up in the air, then fell straight down. I managed to move away, but was unable to escape the blast radius, which made me fall back a bit.
Petey slammed the cages together and I swore that he laughed. Angered, I slowly got back up. I clenched my left fist, and in a surprise move, I swung it like I was throwing a baseball. Dark energy that had surrounded my hand was flung at Petey, and he roared when it hit him.
I could only look at my hand. What had happened? I couldn't do magic, but there I was, having shot darkness at someone. Closing my eyes, I attempted it again.
It worked, except it hit Roy's cage, causing even more damage to the boss and more anger from Roy. Smiling, I leaped at Petey and stabbed him with my short sword, then proceeded to spin around like Link, except I had two weapons, thus dishing out twice the damage.
He still hadn't fallen. In a huff, I threw my dagger at Marth's cage.
It worked. Petey screamed and exploded, dropping both cages. Marth's cage had opened, and he crawled out.
"Marth!" I dashed towards him and hugged him. "You're alright!"
Marth seemed surprised. "Yeah..."
Then it dawned on me that we had to get Roy out, so I quickly let go of Marth and ran to Roy's cage.
Roy was attempting to break the lock, but it wasn't working. I clenched my fist and punched the lock, which although sounded stupid, it worked, thanks to the darkness shielding my hand.
Roy slowly got out of his cage and looked at me. "Thanks Isa..."
"No problem," I sat down on the ground, wanting to collapse from exhaustion.
Marth walked over to us, although he limped, and I couldn't help but worry for him. "Isa... What was that?"
"I have absolutely zero idea, but I think I casted a spell. A basic spell that a eight-year-old could cast with out putting too much thought into it, but a spell nevertheless," I replied.
"But you yourself said that you don't do magic," Roy pointed out.
"I don't know," I mumbled honestly.
Marth looked at me. "Could it be that your dragon seal unlocked some powers you never knew that you had?"
"Maybe..."
Marth sat down next to me while Roy went to check on Zelda. After a few quiet seconds, he slung his arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer. I blinked, and I looked at Marth.
"That was an impressive battle," he said with a smile. "You kicked his butt."
I stuttered, "T-T-Thanks..."
Roy suddenly began to yell in Japanese as we continued to sit on the ground. "Nanika ga zeruda to machigatte iru! Kanojo wa, ōtō shinai, to kanojo o torimaku kimyōna nanika ga arimasu!"*
Marth sighed and responded. "Anata wa sono koto de nani o imi suru nodesa ka?"*
"Shiranai wa yo! Chōdo koko ni norikoeru, min'na!"*
"Chōdo watashitachi ga soko o norikoemashou, mite!"
Roy nodded, and Marth helped me stand up. I blinked. "What were you guys saying?"
Marth bit his lip. "Zelda isn't doing well. We have to check on her."
Nodding, I dashed towards Zelda and upon stopping, I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Roy was trying to help Zelda up. To his left, another figure, surrounded by darkness, was struggling to get up. Spiro's laugh could be heard, and a shiver went down my spine.
... And a blonde figure, getting surrounded by darkness and struggling, while an evil laugh is heard...
No, this can't be, I thought to myself.
Reacting on an impulse, I dashed towards Sheik and grabbed his shoulder. I yanked him, and the energy released him, causing him topple on top of me.
"Isa!" Marth yelled.
Sheik slowly shook his head and blinked. "Ugh... I don't feel so well..."
Marth helped Sheik up and I sprung up from the ground, knife in hand, and slowly did a 360 circle.
"Hello..." Spiro's deep voice whispered behind me.
I picked my leg up and kicked, managing to hit Spiro square in the stomach. Spinning around, I aimed my dagger at him.
Spiro grunted and fell back. His silver hair was quite uneven and messy like my hair, albeit shorter. His grey eyes glared at me with pure hatred. He wore a military uniform that looked like Italy's from Hetalia, although his was black. He carried a book of spells in one arm and a staff in the other.
"Welcome to my castle, Sora."
I gritted my teeth. "How. Did. You. Recognize. Me?"
Spiro smiled. "We went to school together for a year, and you have a habit of coloring your hair with tints that make you stand out. If I remember correctly, the last time I saw you before I left the school to attend Runi's school, your hair was a dark purple that complemented your lovely dark blue eyes."
I growled. "So? I normally did blues and purples. You know that. And then there was the time that my hair was black, but everyone agreed that it made me look like some pathetic idiot from Twilight."
He blinked. "Really?"
"I'm not telling you when I chose that color."
"Because you could. How goes Biology?"
I crossed my arms and leaned to the right. "I never have issues with biology."
"I thought you did."
"No. I had trouble with physics, mainly with stuff that Hiro would obsess about. But I've gotten better."
"You sure?"
"Positive."
Spiro laughed. "Any more kills to add to your list, Shadow Ninja?"
I clenched my fists. "No one calls me that. If you say that one more time, I will have issues with killing you in two seconds flat."
Spiro sighed. "Oh Sora... You're an interesting person, threatening people like that and then carrying the threats out like a man. What I find interesting is your hair..."
"What?"
"You keep choosing the cooler colors on the color wheel. And it's a shame that you keep coloring your hair. I wonder if your lovely blonde hair will completely disappear by the time you're 21..."
"Shut up!" I whipped a ninja star out and threw it at him. Spiro's eyes widened and he ducked, causing me to miss. "And how is hair the same topic as me being the dreaded Shadow Ninja?!"
"You're more impulsive than ever. And yet you keep hiding behind royalty to hide your mistakes and craziness."
I grinned evilly at him to creep him out. "Maybe I have an ability that makes me likable among those of higher standing. But I always try to befriend the mercenaries, ninjas, and assassins first."
Spiro blinked. "But Katie is a princess and Elendia is the headmaster's daughter."
"They reached out to me. I was friends with you and Takahiro at that time..."
Clanging swords and scuffling suddenly filled the air. As I blinked in shock, Spiro smiled. "We needed to talk in private. And this has been going on since we started talking, by the way."
"Why?" I crossed my arms again. "I'm your enemy. You should fight me."
"You looked cuter with your natural blonde hair."
"WHAT?" I stepped back, shocked.
In that second, Spiro closed the distance between us and pulled me close to him.
"It's easier for other people to get close to you. Why didn't you want my contact info?"
"We hadn't talked in days," I replied. I grabbed his wrist to throw him, but Spiro was a step ahead of me. "Stand still," he muttered.
My hand jerked away and my body froze. I could still breath, speak, hear, think, and speak, but nothing else could move.
Spiro locked his fingers into mine. "I've always imagined us seeing each other again, but I was expecting you to be excited to accept my love, not you attempting to kill me."
"You're in love with me?" My eyes jerked up at him, and fear crept through my system. I tried to move, but my hands were locked in place.
Spiro laughed. "Of course. Why do you think that I always wanted to be near you?"
This was getting too creepy. When Spiro and I met as Senshi Academy Training Building, he was a nice boy. But as I spent more time with him, he slowly came up with insane ideas, which made me distance myself from him. When he left, I felt relieved.
Spiro smiled. "Sora... Leave this quest and join me. We can stop Runi together. We can avenge Takahiro's death together. We can break your curses together. And we can do anything we want... Together."
Before I could come up with a snarky comment, a blade was pointed as Spiro's face. He scowled.
"What are you doing here... Miss?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
Marth twitched, but remained focused. "Step away from the lady. Now!" His voice was deeper, but that was probably a sign of intimidation.
Spiro blinked, clearly realizing that Marth was a male. "Why?"
Marth jabbed his shoulder. "That's not how I would treat Isabela, idiot. And clearly, she rejected you, so buzz off."
Spiro's eyes turned stormy. His grip tightened. "There is no way that someone like you..."
As those words left his lips, the spell cast upon me broke. Seizing the opportunity, I grabbed both of Spiro's wrists, yelled, "Not interested!", and flung him over my shoulder. He hit the wall, then slid down.
"Are you alright Isa?" Marth asked worriedly. He checked my forehead and grabbed my wrists to inspect them for damage.
"I'm fine. I'm not hurt," I replied as I walked towards Spiro. Touching my fingertips to his neck, I checked his pulse. "He's alive, but he's out cold."
Marth grabbed me by the waist. "Isabela... When I saw Spiro talk with you, I... I felt a spark of..."
"Jealousy?"
"Yeah..."
I looked towards him. "It's fine though. At least you managed to annoy Spiro. That's always good."
Link and his group suddenly dashed into our area, panting heavily. Ike was carrying Diana and Pit over his shoulders, while Dark Pit was carrying Mizuneko. Link slowly walked towards us, limping as he went.
"We're in the middle of a giant killing maze, and you two are being romantic," Link smiled teasingly.
Instead of getting angry, Marth pulled me closer. "So? We nearly lost her to another suitor."
Link blinked several times. "What?"
I sighed. "Spiro and I used to be classmates until he left to get taught by Runi's dad. Apparently, he's been harboring feelings for me for a while, and it's possible that he only joined Runi to get my attention."
"What makes you say that?" Link was now curious, which forced me to talk more.
"Every time Runi does something stupid, I'm there, stopping him."
Link nodded. "Makes sense... Marth, don't let your girlfriend get too close to Spiro again."
Marth nodded. "Will do."
"Are we dating?" I asked aloud.
Link suddenly burst into laughter. Growling, Marth elbowed him.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I just had to say that," Link laughed apologetically.
"What took you so long?" I was eager to change the subject, and I had also wondered where he was during all this.
Link immediately shut up. Taking a deep breath, he exhaled. "We ran into both Porky Minch and Galleom at the same time."
"Who's Porky Minch?" I asked.
"The guy in that crazy spider thing that was in the statue," Marth replied.
"Ah. I never heard of his name before," I admitted, slightly embarrassed.
Marth nodded to Link. "Continue."
"Anyhow, while we were fighting them, Pit's wings got injured, Ike was flung into a different part of the maze, Diana nearly drowned, and Dark Pit's left arm got snapped in half, so I wound up defeating the machines while Ike came back to heal Dark Pit's arm and protect the angels."
An angel drowning... Another angel's wings getting damaged... The blue-eyed male disappearing in a maze... And another male with his arm getting snapped...
"Great. Most of Elendia's visions occurred within 15 minutes."
Link cursed in Hylian. "That's bad. Which means... That only Roy, Marth, you, and me are the only ones who are unaffected."
"What about Zelda?" Marth asked.
I shook my head. "Elendia can see into the future, but she gets snippets of stuff to come, and she cannot see everything. It's also possible that she saw something happening to Zelda, but she couldn't remember it or it happened after we started the quest."
Link nodded. "I see..."
Marth's grip on me tightened. "I don't want to see you die..."
I nodded slowly. "That's what I'm scared of too."
After a few seconds, Marth ran his hand in my hair.
I gave him a strange look. "What was that for?"
"Are you blonde?"
I looked towards the ground. "Yeah," I admitted after a few seconds.
Link began to laugh a bit. "You dye your hair?"
"Shut up."
"You have some blonde parts showing," Marth pointed out. "What does you hair color normally look like?"
"Like Link's."
Link grinned. "Now we can switch places!"
I growled. "Don't even think about it..."
Boom! Boom!
"What was that?" We all asked simultaneously. If it wasn't for the imminent danger approaching, we probably would have laughed at what we had done.
An engine roared, and Duon suddenly appeared from the maze. Marth let go of me and gripped Falchion. Link tightened his grip on the Master Sword, and I reached for my dagger again.
Duon screamed, and his pinkish side shot out bombs. Panicking, I crossed my arms above my head to defend myself from taking damage.
Except the bombs didn't hit us. When my arms crossed, my butterfly bracelet began to glow, and a giant hologram of a butterfly appeared, sparing us from the attacks.
"What-"
"Not now Link!" I yelled. "We have bigger matters on hand right now!"
More bombs were being shot at us, yet the shield kept protecting us. But cracks began to appear, meaning that after a few more hits, the shield would disappear.
Seeing this, Marth dashed to the side and charged at Duon. Distracted, I yelled at him to get back, and with perfect timing, my shield dissolved.
Marth raised Falchion high and began to attack relentlessly. Duon, looking slightly bored somehow, picked up Marth and threw him deeper into the maze.
"Marth!" I yelled.
Duon began to move to outside of the area where we were. Rage boiled inside of me, and I charged after the monster with Link following.
"Why did Duon did that? According to Sheik, he couldn't grab people the last time!"
"Spiro may have adjusted it!"
"How do you know?!" We were scrambling along obstacles as we were yelling, hoping to save Marth in time.
"Something tells me that! And his watch glowed red link Duon's eyes! And Spiro seemed to look at Marth with jealousy!"
By this point, we burst into another clearing. Marth was on the ground, slightly battered and bruised. Duon was in front of him, preparing to land the final blow.
I zipped towards Marth and grabbed him as Link snuck up behind Duon and landed a blow with his spin attack. Dashing away, he came to my side and helped Marth up.
"Are you okay?" I asked Marth.
"I-I-I-"
Duon came closer and loomed over us. Growling, I whipped my knife out. Link drew his bow. Duon looked at the two of us, and screamed. Swiping its right arm up, it swung down and hit Marth, causing him to fall down again.
"Marth!" I yelled.
Link caught him. "This is bad!"
I cursed in Russian. Then I looked at Duon. An idea formed in my mind, and I decided to carry it out immediately.
"Link! Get Marth out of here!"
"Why?"
"I'm hinging on an insane idea. It's worth a shot."
Link realized what I had planned. "That's insane! Don't do it! You'll die!"
"It could save everyone!"
"How will you escape?" Link looked concerned.
I looked at him. "I'm Isa Sentōki. I'm somewhat insane, and I come up with crazy ideas. But that doesn't mean that I only have one plan. I always have at least one back-up." My fingertips glowed blue. Link saw this and nodded.
"Go!" I yelled at Link. "I'll hold him off!"
Link nodded solemnly. I gently hugged Marth and brushed his blue hair out of his eyes. "Rinku, te deseo suerte para escapar."*
With that, Link spun around and dashed off with Marth.
Gripping my sword tighter, I swung around and pointed it at Duon. Despite the high risk of losing the battle, I had to buy Link enough time to escape with the others.
Summoning dark energy in my right hand, I aimed and shot at Duon. "Come at me, bro!" I spat as I cartwheeled away.
It hit Duon's blue side. It swung it's head down to where I was standing, although I jumped to the side, barely missing it. Spinning around like Link's spin attack, I hit Duon's blue head. It's head shot back up and yelled again. Dashing forward, I kicked the wheel and punched it. It began to roll forward, so I rolled away and spun to face it again. It slashed its arms out, and although I managed to dodge most of the attack, it sliced my left arm and left a cut on it.
This is bad, I thought to myself.
While Duon got ready to charge at me, I ripped my left sleeve off. Dashing off, I hide behind a wall and hastily attempted to bandage the wound. It took several attempts, but I managed to stop the bleeding. Duon must have heard my sigh of relief, because it went and pulverized the wall, forcing me to go back to the fighting area. Summoning more dark energy, I threw it at him in the shape of lightning, and it hit him square in the face.
Screaming/yelling again, he switched around to his purple side. Swearing, I reached inside of my jacket for my ninja stars. Duon saw this and began to shoot out bombs.
I dashed towards the right to avoid the bombs, but one of them exploded a few feet from me, catapulting me several feet. "Oof!" I hit the ground and skidded a bit. Wincing, I shot back up and ran towards the giant robot (?).
Duon screamed again, and I began jabbing at it. Gripping my ninja stars, I flung them at Duon as I dashed to the side. After that was done, I dished out a flurry of attacks and proceeded to stab Duon's wheels.
Duon, angered by these attacks, swung its arms down and sent me flying backwards. I recovered quickly, and as I jumped up, I saw another blue-haired figure dash at Duon and slice his sword through Duon's wheel, causing Duon to disintegrate. I couldn't see the figure's features, but I swore he looked like Marth.
"What the heck Marth?" I yelled impulsively. "You're wounded! That's something you leave to me!"
The figure walked up to me. As he got closer, I gasped.
"Sorry Chrom... I thought that you were Marth," I admitted apologetically.
"The Hero of Legend is here?"
"Um... He's wounded and currently outside of the maze."
"How?"
"Galloem took him into the maze, and when we had finished fighting, Duon grabbed him and brought him here. So I told Link to take Marth outside the maze while I stalled Duon."
"That wasn't a good idea," Chrom pointed out. "You could have died."
"If Link had stayed, Marth would be dead and-" I stopped short, remembering that Chrom was Marth's descendant and saying stuff like this will really messed up. But how far in the future was he from? At least several generations was my guess, but I can't always rely on video games, and things will get really messed up if I asked him.
"And?" he pressed, wanting to know why I had stopped.
"Nothing. I lost my train of thought. And how did you find me? This maze is impossible to maneuver."
"I was coming to Smash Manor for the tournament with some friends when we were told about an issue you guys were having, so I came to help."
"We have teleport machines in Smash Manor?" I asked.
He nodded.
I stamped my foot down. "That's not fair! Then again, we are running around because we keep getting different locations to go to... And doubt that this is the last time that this will happen..."
Chrom blinked. "Um... Okay..."
"We need to catch up to the others. They're probably going ballistic as we speak," I stated calmly. Turning around, I walked towards the opening.
The ground began to shake and we all stumbled back. Robin gasped, and I could only stare at the maze walls.
The maze was changing, and now I didn't know where the exit was now located.
"This is bad!" I yelled.
By this point, the maze had finished shifting. I could only stare. My fist clenched. How could I find my way out? Even with the help of my new companions, it would take a while to escape, and after that, would I be able to find the others?
"What now?" Chrom asked angrily.
"I don't know," I replied.
A memory flashed through my mind.
"I don't get this," Takahiro whined.
Hiro came and looked over Takahiro's shoulder. "What happened?"
"He doesn't understand-" I began.
"Why does Bobby walk this way? Wouldn't it be easier to walk through the swamp?"
"It's a math question," I replied. "They just want you to understand the theory."
"Ne-uh. They're just being crazy," he replied.
Hiro sighed. "Both of you are right."
"What?" Takahiro and I said at the same time.
Hiro sat down between us. Looking at Takahiro, he said, "They're doing that to help you understand the problem, Takahiro. But at the same time, you have a point."
"Eh?" I replied.
Hiro smiled. "Sora... To an engineer, the shortest way between two points is a straight line."
"That's understandable."
Shiro, having over heard the situation, dashed off. He returned with a maze drawing.
"You mean I can cut straight to the exit?" He asked.
Hiro sighed. "No... But I can see Takahiro doing that in real life by causing the walls to fall down with his magic."
"What's the downside of doing that?" I countered.
"You could make... Monsters follow you." Hiro shuddered. "Gah, I don't like monsters, which is why I would let you guys lead the way if we get stuck in a maze."
"There's no such things as monsters unless you're in a video game of book," Shiro scoffed. "They're just part of your imagination."
I looked at my twin. "I wouldn't be too sure of that."
"Why?"
I glanced at Takahiro. "Oh, no reason in particular.'
The memory faded, but it was still fresh in my mind. An idea came to mind. After making sure that I had enough energy to perform my plan, I aimed my hand at the wall and began to focus. Dark energy surrounded my hand, and it began to get stronger.
A look of alarm overcame Chrom. "What-"
I swung my fist at the wall and yelled. The wall exploded outwards, and a hole that was big enough to walk through appeared. Chrom could only blink. Confident, I walked forward until I met another wall, where I repeated the process.
After the fifth time of doing it, I felt drained. I had just acquired these powers (or realized that I had them; I'm not entirely sure which happened), and I didn't have enough training to evenly distribute my powers with each strike.
I need to get Zelda to train me, I though silently as I slid down the wall I was leaning on.
Chrom walked up to me. "That was cool and crazy. What made you do that?"
"A memory about Pythagorean Theorem," was my response.
Chrom nodded. "You did a good job."
"How? I don't think that I can do it again without fainting. We're still in the maze."
Chrom pointed to his right. "There's an exit over there."
I shot up. "You're kidding."
"Nope."
I looked towards my left, and sure enough, there were trees that I could see. Grinning, I walked with Chrom out of the maze. After walking several hundred feet, I laid down on the ground and spread my arms out.
"Yay... I don't have to deal with mazes for a while...
Chrom sat down. "I see."
"I don't want to run anymore. I ran to get my friends, I ran to mess with Petey Piranha, I dashed away from Porky Minch or whatever his name is, I chased after Duon to save Marth, I fought and hide from Duon, and I just escaped this insane maze," I began to ramble a bit, hoping that Chrom
Chrom laughed. "Want me to carry you?"
I laughed in turn. "If you can pick me up. I'm fine, though."
Chrom nodded. "The maze was tiring. What was that about?"
"Runi," I hissed. "How do you build a complicated maze for your hideout when you get lost in an open field?"
"You're kidding," Chrom said after overhearing my statement. "No one gets lost that easily."
"I wish I was. My question is how the maze changed. I've given up questioning why he gets lost easily a few years ago... It's a bit too convenient that the maze changed while we were in here..."
"I didn't see cameras," he pointed out.
"If there were cameras, then the maze should have changed several times by now."
"That's an interesting hypothesis," Chrom stated. "What makes you say that?"
"My friends and I were rescuing some of our group members. If cameras were constantly watching the maze or if it was on a timer, then it should have changed during the battles. Which means... Someone on Runi's team was well aware of the fact that I was here, and they wanted to make sure that I can't escape."
"Did they watch us?" he asked.
"Runi and Seth are idiots, but they're not dumb enough to go inside the maze. Spiro had already encountered us and we knocked him out cold, but if he did wake up, I don't know if he knows that I was still in the maze, and Lila... Something tells me that she wouldn't get involved in something like this. She told me to enter the castle. She didn't say anything about a maze."
"I have no idea who you're talking about," Chrom pointed out.
I smacked my forehead. "Sorry. I'm used to be around the other adventurers..."
"It's fine," he replied. "I'll be able to figure out what's going on."
"Okay. Thanks. Now I have to go look for the others..."
Turning around, I began to walk forward when I heard Pit yell, "Isa! Isa, can you hear me?"
"Loud and clear, Pit!" I replied.
"That's your name? Isa?" Chrom asked.
"My nickname," I replied. "My name is so much longer..."
Pit and Diana ran to where I was. Bending over, he began to pant. "What took you so long?"
"I began to weave flowers," I answered sarcastically.
Diana blinked. "What?"
"I had to fight Duon," I grimaced. "That wasn't fun. And the maze changed, so that took a while to leave."
Pit sighed. "That explains why his highnicus went berserk."
Chrom frowned. "Highnicus?"
Pit waved his hand. "I call Marth that sometimes. But he went nuts just now when he realized that you weren't with us..."
I bit my lip. "Oh dear... I guess we better tell him that I'm alright before he kills someone."
With that, Pit and Diana turned around to lead us to the others. Chrom walked in the step behind me, but I began to ponder about the maze changing. I wanted to know how it changed like that.
It's got to be someone who told Spiro that I was in the maze. I don't think that there's another explanation. Question is, am I on the right track? Is there a spy? Or did Runi truly step up his game? Whatever it is, I'll find a way to ask him tomorrow. If everything goes according to plan and my insanity doesn't interfere with my mission.
Ace: I kept changing stuff in the chapter. I was going to have more characters appear, but I cut three of them out, then added Sheik and Spiro in.
But yeah, Isa and Spiro knew each other at one point. They were 13 or so when they met, and if you leave Senshi Academy at any point before graduating, you cannot return, unless it's you join the Smash Tournament or something like that, because then you can still take classes at Senshi Academy or go back when the tournament is over. And Runi's dad taught an academy, although Senshi is better and easier to get into... By some interesting logic.

Now that Sheik has appeared, he and Isa can go and use their techniques to drive everyone insane. It might not fully appear in WOS per say, but it'll appear. The Toon Link spin-off will have stories that deal with Isa but they weren't appear here. So if you want to know how Isa duct-taped a piano to the ceiling, you can find the story in the Toon Link spin-off, which is scheduled to appear soon.
I also made a semi-spin-off/alternate version of Warriors of Smash. It is Shattered Cyberspace, a Super Smash Bros/Zelda crossover. And Isa is not the narrator. Link beat her to it.
That is all.
