Tears by the dozen continued to cascade down the brokenhearted hedgehog mother as she had lost her only child due to an unforgivable mistake. The blue hedgehog could only try his best to comfort the ex queen of Moebius as her tears were finally coming to an end.

"I can't believe what has happened, Blue. For four years I thought he had actually loved me, but it was all a lie. Just for me to give birth to a son he had wanted," Amy sobbed as she wiped away her tears with her bare hands.

"I warned you, Ames: he does not know the meaning of love not even when he was with Fiona," Sonic replied with a calm tone.

"I feel bad for her more than I feel bad for myself. He kicked her out just because she didn't give him a son," Amy's head finally arose from looking at the ground below her feet.

"That green mean machine just doesn't want anything to do with relationships."

"I just hope Alex is okay…"
Back in Anti-Acorn Castle, a stressed hedgehog father was pacing about in the throne room. His son had been filled with worry as he saw his mother had not return. What could the father hedgehog say to the innocent child? Even if his ex wife had cheated on him, he couldn't break his son's spirit by telling him so. At last, an idea popped into his head. He was not so fond of the idea, but he knew he couldn't keep his son in the dark forever.

"Alex!" the green king bellowed from his standing place.

"Yes, Father?" a little green bundle rushed into the throne room.

The father hedgehog pulled out a warp ring from his trademark jacket, activated it, and gave one last glance at his son before jumping inside of it. Little Alex understood his father and also dove inside the warp ring not knowing he was finally going to get his wish.

Back with the pink and blue hedgehogs, the mother hedgehog had finally ceased her weeping and joined the male hedgehog's parents in the living room. The four of them were just chatting about the past; just having a jolly old time until a knock was heard at the front door.

"I'll get it," Jules announced as he made his way to the door.

"I wonder who that can be," Bernie's eyes were kept on the door.

All four lost their air as Jules opened the door and revealed who was the mystery person behind it. Amy's heart sunk as she caught sight of her ex husband, but it instantly jolted back when she saw who he was with.

"A-Alex?"

"Mom!"

The little hedgehog boy threw himself into his mother's embracing arms. All the mother hedgehog could is hold her precious child tightly in her arms for she did not wish to ever let go of him.

"I'm so happy you're okay, Mom," Prince Alex said he felt at home being in his mother's arms.

"I am glad you are okay, my child," small tears dropped from the girl's jade eyes.

As the mother and son hedgehogs continued their never-ending embrace, the cerulean hedgehog now confronted his anti-version.

"What are you trying to do here, Green?" he growled.

"What? I can't let this kid see his mother because he misses her?" he replied.

"I know you're planning something, Green," the blue hedgehog returned his attention to the pink mother.

"Mom, are you gonna come home with us?" the boy's jade green eyes sparkled with hope.

The pink hedgehog stared at her son for a few seconds before she met with a pair of ice blue eyes belonging to the father of her child. The king said nothing as they held their gaze. The ex queen was the first to break out of their trance and return her attention to her child.

"Alex, sweetie, Mommy will be out of the castle for a few weeks. She's on vacation," the mother semi-lied to her son.

"Oh…" the prince's ears drooped.

"But I promise I'll come back with a surprise for you," she smiled.

"I love surprises!" Alex's ears perked up and returned his mother's smile.

"C'mon now, Alex, we have to head back home while Mommy relaxes herself," the Moebian king nearly choked out the word of relaxes.

"Aww okay. Bye Mommy! Please come back soon from your vacation," the little prince gave his mother one last final hug before running to his father's arms.

The green king simply nodded at the four hedgehogs before activating a warp ring and using its magical powers to go back to his kingdom.

"I jus really hope Alex does like his future surprise," the pink mother hushed as she placed a gloved hand on her stomach.
