Bella POV
He took my hand by force. "Tell me," he said as he pushed me to the wall.
"Let me go!" I said, struggling with him. I cannot understand how he could had gotten so strong in such a short time.
"No I am not going to let you be with them they are dangerous."
"Let her go, dog " said Kate, suddenly standing behind us and glaring at him.
"No, I refuse to let her stay with you," he answered.
"Look dog, I am not afraid to hurt you. Bella is ours, and from now on I will make that clear. If you meet with her, you will have to face us and, trust me, we are more dangerous than the Cullens could ever be," said Kate, threatening him.
I was finally able to escape from his grip thanks to Kate distracting him, but he then pulled me back. My arm hurt because his grip was too hard while he pushed me to him. Seeing this, Kate ran towards him and used her power, immediately making Jacob let go of me and scream in pain. In just seconds he was on the ground in agony. I ran towards Kate. I couldn't believe Jacob. Why was he acting like this?
"Bella go to the store," said Kate to me.
"No, I am not going to leave you alone with him" I said.
Kate looked at me "This is a order, go!" she growled, making me scared. I still didn't go, however.
Jacob then finally stood up. Kate came to him and gritted her teeth. "This is last time you will come here. If I ever see you near Bella again, me and my sisters will not hesitate to kill you."
He knew he couldn't attack Kate."Bella remember who your friends are," he said, walking away.
My phone then rang, and I answered. It was Leah. "Bella if you see Jake, stay away from him!" Kate didn't even let me answer Leah and simply took the phone from my hand. "You're late. Tell your alpha to not to let this happen again, for Jacob not only exposed himself to a human in a matter of seconds, he also attacked her." She said and closes the phone, putting it in her pocket.
"Give me my phone!" I said, frustrated.
"Why didn't you go in the store when I asked you too?" She asked, her eyes bored through me. I was getting a little scared of her.
"I am not going to let you hurt my friend," I replied.
"So he can hurt you like this whenever he wants and not get the consequences?!" exclaimed Kate.
"Who hurt you?" I felt someone's hands touch mine. I wasn't scared of Kate and this side of hers anymore. I always knew when she was here, and when it was her.
"No one," I murmured.
"Stop defending them, kid! If I hadn't come to stop you, I am sure he will have hurt you even more." Kate was not happy with this.
I don't want Tanya to know about this. She will kill Jake.
"The dog did this, right?" said Tanya, looking at Kate.
It wasn't even really a question. She knew. Tanya was ready to go look for Jake, and started to leave but Kate stopped Tanya. "Look an attack right now would not do us good. I warned him to never do it again," said Kate.
"He hurt her! He messed with my mate, and I am not going to let anybody do that."
"Look he is not going to hurt me. I am fine, he was just mad, and I am sure he will come later to apologize."
"He is not going near you anymore! From now on, stay away from these guys, they are dangerous," exclaimed Tanya.
"That my decision," I murmured, not looking at her.
"You are infuriating, you know that?" Tanya shouted at me, and then walked to the store. She was mad.
"Are you stupid or what?! After the dog got so aggressive with you that you couldn't defend yourself, you still want to stay friends with him?!" said Kate.
I didn't say anything and followed Tanya.
Rosalie was with Tanya in the store.
"Tanya, calm down" said Rosalie to Tanya, who was walking up and near.
She saw me entering the store. "How can I calm down when my mate is attracted to danger?" She said, glaring at me.
"You see that he is aggressive?" Rosalie asked, looking at me
"Yeah but this is the only time I have seen him like this."
Rosalie rolled her eyes. "Bella, how do you know this is going to be the last time he will become aggressive like that? You saw that he couldn't control it."
Tanya stopped in her tracks and looked at me, waiting to see what I was going to come with to defend Jake.
I opened my mouth and closed it. This time I had no answer.
"So you agree that you shouldn't come near him anymore," replied Rosalie.
"No, he is my friend" I stubbornly said.
The two looked at me with frustration.
Kate appeared in the store now too."Kid you made a big mistake today. When I was attacking that dog I told you to go, but you didn't."
"I told you I didn't want to hurt Jake, and stop calling him a dog!" I replied.
"Can we tell what they are? Maybe then she will understand better why him and his friend are a danger," said Kate, looking with a frown at Tanya.
I respected Tanya decision not to tell me anything, especially since I myself didn't want to know what he was. It wasn't my business in compare with Tanya that was my girlfriend.
"Kate remember what we promised Carlisle," she replied as she sat on the chair next to the table and let her hand support her head on the table.
It is clear that there were many things going through her mind.
"Tanya, are you okay?" I asked
"Clearly she is not okay with you risking your life with a werewolf. Don't you ever put yourself in her shoes and think how hard it is for her to see her mate having these monsters as friends, considering that they are dangerous and could hurt you anytime?" Rosalie snapped
Tanya glared at Rosalie.
"What? She needed to know how you feel about her hanging out with them. I watched how you were when she was visiting these guys. It is like you are saying goodbye to your mate." Said Rosalie, not intimidated by Tanya.
I saw that she cared for Tanya. I knew they were good friends, since Rosalie and Tanya were similar in some ways, like how they were always subtle when dealing with strangers. The only time I saw Rosalie smiling or happy was when she was with Emmett or talking to her family. Tanya was not very good with my friends and I caught her sometimes glaring at Mike or she knows these too were sometimes flirting with me .
"Is it true?" I asked.
"Can we talk about this later?" replied Tanya.
"Tanya, we need to talk about these things."
"Yes I know, but alone and not with these two present," said Tanya, referring to Kate and Rosalie, who just rolled their eyes.
"Look, we have to talk about what we are going to do with this situation," said Kate.
"The only thing through my mind is now killing him," Tanya replied to Kate.
"But you won't do that, right?" I asked.
Rosalie glared at me, "I don't know what you see in her."
I was not going to let her comment affect me.
"Rose, just because I am not on the same side as Bella does not mean that I am going to let you talk to her like that," said Tanya, glaring at her.
Tanya always defends me every time.
"Well, don't come complaining to me when she visits her supposed friend again," said Rosalie, storming out.
"Always the dramatic," said Kate, rolling her eyes.
"What does she mean by that, Tanya?" I asked.
"We will talk later, I promise." She replied. I then came near her and she pulled me into her lap, kissing me.
"And Kate, thank you for saving her," she said with a small smile.
"Well, she is family now," said Kate.
Later, Irina came by.
I was standing in the corner of the store, reading a book while Kate and Tanya handled the costumers.
Irina came and sat next to my table "Are you still reading this book? I thought you had already finished it."
"Yes, I like to read it again," I said, not taking my attention away from the book.
"So, I heard about what happened. Are you okay?" asked Irina.
"Yes," I answered.
She suddenly took the book from my hands, without a warning.
"So now you know why Jacob is dangerous?" asked Irina
" I have never seen him act like this," I avoided answering her.
"There is always a first time, Bella, and for this to not happen again you will have to stop seeing this boy and the others from La Push," stated Irina.
"You can't forbid me from visiting them."
"Look Bella, we care about you and we don't want to see you getting hurt. Please understand us."
"I can defend myself from the La Push guys. Just because I am human does not mean I am fragile," I said, offended.
"I know you can defend yourself, but they are definitely stronger than you and a danger to us too," She replied.
"What?! They could hurt you guys?" I asked.
"Yes that is why we don't want you being near them."
"Tanya never told me that they were a danger for your kind too," I said as I crossed my arms.
Irina looked at Tanya, who was busy with a costumer, and Tanya looked at her and glared.
"I see my sister doesn't tell you everything "She said ignoring Tanya glare
"No," I said sadly. I thought she trusted me more than this, or at least enough to tell me things. I saw that Tanya's face softened at my reaction. She excused the costumer and came to us.
"Irina, can you deal with my client?" She said so she could talk to me.
Irina nodded and said to Tanya, "If you don't tell her these things then I will tell her myself," and then walked away towards the client.
"Are you mad at me for not telling you things?" She asked as she started to sit next to me.
"No. I am disappointed. Why didn't you tell me how worried you were when I was with the guys of la Push?" I asked her. She sighed and stayed silent for a minute.
She kept her eyes on the floor, "I didn't want you to see me as overprotective and controlling girlfriend."
"Look, I don't see you as one and I don't want you to hide your feeling from me. I would rather have a girlfriend that is not perfect than have her being someone she isn't."
"Bella, you don't know how difficult it is to deal with a vampire's possessive nature when it comes to their mate."
"How can you know that?" I asked.
"Bella, I notice how you roll your eyes when I start being a little possessive or controlling," she replied with sadness.
"Yes, I sometimes find it a little difficult to handle, but that doesn't stop me from loving you. I want you to be true to yourself when you are with me. If something is bothering you, you can tell me so we can talk about it," I said leaning next to her.
She looked at me. "Okay, I will do that," she replied and kissed me on my forehead.
"I think it is for the best if I do not see the boys of LaPush these days," I said.
After hearing that they could hurt Tanya too, I was worried for Tanya.
"What made you change mind so fast?" She asked in surprise.
"Irina told me that they could hurt you, and then there is what Rose said. I never thought about how you felt when I was with Jake or Leah. Sorry," I apologized to her.
"Don't be sorry. I can't help but feel anxious when you are near danger or in positions where you can get hurt. It is part of being mated." She took me out of my chair and sat me in her lap.
I saw a girl from school watching us. Tanya glared at her. She stopped watching us.
I kissed her. Someone cleared their throat. It was some old lady in the store. Maybe she was homophobic, I don't know, and I growled at her. I saw Kate and Irina glaring at her too.
She walked out of the store.
My phone rang. I saw who was calling. It was Leah. I didn't pick up the phone. I didn't want to ruin Tanya's mood right after it just had gotten better.
"You can talk to her, Bella. I am not forbidding it," she said with bitterness.
I shut down my phone. "No, she can wait till later. You're my first priority," I replied.
She smiled at me and kissed me again.
"You know that I love you the way you are. You don't need to change for me. I have already accepted you for who you are," I said, looking at her and trying to see if my words had gotten through her head.
"Yeah I know that," she said, smiling at me. She kissed my hands under my shirt.
"Tanya, not in the store," I said, trying to get her hand away from me. We didn't have sex through our relationship yet, but we were always making out. I wanted to make love to Tanya, but I was scared that I would not be good enough for her. I see that she wants someone very passionate.
She stopped. "Sorry, I got carried away."
We kissed again. This time she bit my lip. My relationship with Tanya wasn't easy, but it sure was worth it.
