I know it's been a while, but this my heart kind of left this story for a bit, and it seems it's not fully in it, anymore, but don't worry, I will continue to write this tale! I still love it, it's just my inspiration has been wavered slightly for this particular story.
Anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT! IT TRULY MEANS ALOT! :)
Please remember to review at the end! :)
How could he get into this? He pressed his back against the cottage, and sighed, as his eyes closed. Everything began to make sense in his mind, and he knew, he just knew that everything was going to change with the knowledge now flowing in his mind.
He shook his head, and clamped his eyes shut. He had really done it this time. He moved to leave the cottage, but stopped when he heard a gun click behind him.
"Alright, pretty boy, turn around, slowly, or else your brains are going to be scattered on the ground."
He sighed, and held up his hands, and slowly turned around as instruction. A light smirk filled his features, and he tilted his head to the side. "Galen Vaughn." He replied, moving his eyes over the man holding the gun.
Vaughn froze, and lowered the gun in his hand a fraction. "Damon, Damon Salvatore." He whispered in disbelief. "You're alive."

Caroline fingered the pendant hanging around her neck, and sighed as she looked into the fire in the fireplace. The fire seemed to draw her, and take over her mind, replaying events of long ago, and today.
She sighed as she felt hands lightly grip her upper arms, and moved around her to settle on her stomach, as she leaned backwards, landing on the familiar chest.
"Everyone is asleep, right?" She asked, quietly.
Klaus hummed, and leaned his head on hers, kissing her temple lightly. "Except for Vaughn, he's checking the perimeter." He answered, softly.
She nodded, and tilted her head to the side, still staring into the fire. "That's good." She whispered, faintly.
"Something is troubling you, Swan." He stated, at first wanting it to be a question, but he knew her too well to know when something troubled her.
She sighed, placing her hands on top of his. "I just have a lot on my mind." She whispered, moving her eyes from the flames.
"Such as?" Klaus asked, turning his head to look at her.
"I just have this feeling that something is coming, and it's not good." She finally answered, after a few moments.
He pulled back, and slowly turned her to face him, and placed his right hand on her face. "Swan, you are not thinking that," He stopped when she shook her head.
"Of course not, Klaus." She stated, placing her hands on his chest. "It's just, something is off, and I can feel it. Something," She paused, turning her head to side, and her eyes began to become distant. "Something dark, a threat." She whispered, her eyes widening.
He clenched his jaw tightly, and grasped her face lightly between his hands. "Caroline," He began, trying to snap her out of whatever trance she was in. "Caroline!"
Caroline gasped, and looked at him with wide eyes. "Niklaus?" She whispered, her eyes rolling backwards, and she collapsed in his arms.

"No!" He heard her scream. He turned and his eyes widened as he saw two soldiers dragging Caroline away from the path, where the rest of the family were supposed to go.
Knocking another advancing soldier to the ground, he charged after her.
"Caroline!" He shouted, as he slashed his way through four soldiers to reach her.
"Nik!" She shouted back, struggling against their hold.
He made it to where she was, but was stopped by four men, coming out of nowhere, and caught him off guard. He growled as they pulled his arms, and knocked his sword out of his hands. He couldn't move. He couldn't reach her.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Tyler replied, hopping down from his horse, approaching his future bride with a sneer on his face.
Caroline jerked in the soldiers grasp.
"Well, my darling, Caroline, you are looking as beautiful as ever. It looks like these ruffians took care of you during these long tortuous months." He replied, in fake sincerity.
Caroline frowned, and tried to move.
"Well, don't you have a greeting for your future husband?" He asked, touching her face.
She moved her head away from him. "I will never marry you." She ground out.
Tyler raised his hand, and back handed her. "You may be beautiful, Caroline, but talk to me that way again, and I'll give you more than that." He said with venom.
Klaus growled, and tried to move away from the four soldiers holding him tightly. "You'll pay for that, you bastard!" He shouted, with a short glance to Caroline.
Tyler laughed, and stroked his chin as he bowed his head. "Now, what can you do with my soldiers holding you?" He asked in a mocking tone.
"Let me go, and I'll show you." Klaus remarked in a dark tone.
Tyler laughed harder. "Did you hear that, men?" He shouted at the soldiers. "He says he can beat me!" He continued with another laugh. "What do you say?" He asked, glancing back at a struggling Klaus.
The men didn't say a word, only held tightened their hold on Klaus' arms. Tyler smirked as he brought out a dagger from his belt, and raised it to his lips.
"I say let's not find out." He whispered, as he approached Klaus.
Caroline's eyes widened as Tyler brought his arm back, and slammed the dagger into Klaus' stomach.
"NO!" She shouted, as the soldiers finally let her go. She ran over to Klaus, as he began to fall to the ground.
She grasped his face in her hands, and tears fell on his face. "Nik, please don't leave me." She whispered, to him.
Klaus gasped, and looked into her eyes. "Swan," He replied, as he gasped again.
Tyler rolled his eyes. "Bring her along." He commanded to the men.
Caroline shook her head, as the soldiers grabbed her and began to drag her down the path. "No! Nik!" She screamed as they dragged her struggling along the way.
"Nik!" She screamed.
Caroline sat straight up in bed, screaming his name, and panting as her breaths came quickly and roughly. She felt a hand on her shoulder, and she turned her head to see Klaus looking at her with worry etched on his face.
"What happened?" She whispered, looking around her, placing her hands on his arms.
Klaus sighed in relief, and held her eyes with his as he explained carefully. "You fainted, love." He answered, finally.
She swallowed, and bowed her head. "I guess everything just came at me at once." She whispered, remembering why she had fainted to begin with.
He stroked her face gently, and tried to catch her eyes. "Swan," He whispered, watching her swallow and fear crept into her eyes.
"I remember I got the feeling that something was coming to destroy us." She whispered, lowering her eyes. "I get these feelings sometimes," She began to explain, shrugging her shoulders. "Most of the time they're bad feelings. It's kind of like a warning system." She rattled on, causing Klaus to grab her shoulders, to let her know she was rattling.
She paused, and lowered her eyes. "I just kept feeling like something was coming all day, and then it finally came at me when we were talking, and overwhelmed me." She concluded, raising her eyes to his. "And then I had a dream." She added, watching his brows lift in curiosity.
"Is that why you woke up screaming?" He asked, calmly.
She nodded, and sighed. "I dreamed of the time Tyler took me away from you." She whispered, her eyes becoming frantic with the knowledge. "He stabbed you, and took me away." She ranted, grasping the shirt at his chest.
He sighed, and moved his hands to her waist. "I'm right here, love." He whispered, pulling her into his embrace. "I'm right here."
She felt the tears form in her eyes at the memory of the time past, and let them fall down her cheeks. "You don't think I'm crazy?" She whispered, her insecurities coming out of her as they did before.
Klaus smiled, and pulled back to look into her eyes. "Caroline, I would never think you are crazy." He stated, searching her eyes.
She bit her bottom lip, and slowly nodded, moving her hands down from around his neck, and stroked his face with her right hand. "Something came didn't it?" She asked, nodding with slight fear in her words.
Klaus sighed, and nodded. "Vaughn found a man sneaking around the cottage, but don't worry, he's being detained." He replied, stopping her further questions.
Caroline sighed, and closed her eyes. "Who is it?" She asked, opening her eyes, but focusing on his chest.
Klaus inhaled deeply, and pushed her blonde hair away from her face. "Are you sure you want to know?" He asked, watching her glare at him, giving him her answer. He inhaled once more, and held her eyes. "Damon Salvatore." He whispered, watching her eyes widen at the name.
"No," She whispered, breathlessly. Her head turned to the door, and turned back to Klaus. "Does Bonnie know?" She asked, remembering the past life and relationship.
Klaus shook his head. "Not yet, though Stefan is gone to see him." He answered, watching his love nod her head. "You knew Stefan back in the states, did you know Damon?" He asked after a moment.
Caroline shook her head, and sniffed. "Stefan told me that Damon was killed in a car accident, or at least that's what he believed at the time, so I didn't get a chance to meet Damon." She replied, bowing her head.
Klaus nodded, and stroked her face lightly. "You should get some rest, Swan." He replied, catching her eyes.
She smiled, and a coy look came into her eyes. "If you rest with me." She returned, watching him smirk at her words.
"Why my dear Swan, are you implying what I think you are implying?" He asked, watching her giggle.
She stroked his face with her hands, and threaded them behind his head. "Well, let me put this way, with Tyler trying to close in on us, and wanting to tear us apart, and God knows what else, I think we should get as much happiness as we can." She replied, watching him smile, and softly push her down onto the bed, hovering on top of her.
"Well, then, my dear, let's get happy." He replied, watching her laugh underneath him.
"Let's get happy." She laughed out. "One would think you are hundreds of years old, Rogue, with talk like that." She replied, watching him smile above her.
"I'll show you old, Swan." He muttered, playfully, and planted his lips on hers, and kissed her until they both needed a breath of air.
She moaned as he proceeded to remove her clothing, and she his, and once they had accomplished their goal, Klaus gazed into her eyes, and smiled as his right hand traveled down her body, and caressed her gently.
She arched against his touch, and smiled in satisfaction as his fingers brought her body to so much pleasure she could hardly contain the moans and light mewls. She moved her fingers over his bare shoulders, and her left leg lifted to curve around his, slightly stroking his skin, and sending shivers down his spine.
With each touch, and caress, they came one step closer to the waters of ecstasy, and by the time Klaus hovered over her with the look of love in his eyes, their bodies were wet with sweat and arousal.
He slid inside her, and they both moaned, and began to rock the bed underneath them. Caroline lifted her hips to meet him with each thrust he made, and arched her back against him. "Oh, God, yes," She moaned, feeling him fill her up.
He moaned, and gripped the sheets next to her as he moved within her. "Yes, Swan," He moaned, moving harder and faster.
She bit her bottom lip, and arched underneath him, struggling to get closer to him, as close as she possibly could. "Oh, Nik!" She breathed out, trying to remember that others were in the cottage as well.
With one hard long thrust, Caroline felt her body sing with pleasure and began to shake with a wild orgasm, and soon after, Klaus moaned, as his hips arched downward, and he felt the same pleasure ring through his body.
He thrusted slowly a few times as they slowly came down and finally collapsed beside her, bringing the white cotton sheets around them as he did.
She sighed, snuggling into his embrace, and kissed his bare chest lightly, feeling the fingers of his left hand stroke her bare back. "You know, for an old man, you are truly amazing in bed." She replied, feeling him laugh underneath her. She tilted her head back, and studied his face as if it would disappear by morning.
The smile on his face slowly disappeared as he gazed into her eyes, and his right hand brushed over her damp face. "I promise this time, he won't get anywhere near you, Swan." He whispered, searching her eyes.
She smiled, and lifted her left hand to stroke his face. "I know." She whispered, pulling his head down and kissed his lips, tenderly. "What about Damon?" She asked, as their lips separated.
Klaus sighed, and placed his forehead on hers. "I'll talk to him tomorrow, and then I'll decide." He replied, only to pull his head back when her hand pushed on his chest.
"You mean, we will talk to him, and then we'll decide." She stated, glaring into his eyes
He shook his head at her words. "No, Caroline, I will not put you in front of him, not until I know where his loyalties lie." He stated, causing her to continue to glare at him.
"Niklaus," She began, but he shook his head.
"No, Caroline," He stated, glaring back. "I won't risk it." He added, and it was then she heard the desperation leaking into his voice.
Slowly, she nodded, but knew that this wasn't over, not yet.
Klaus seemed to know that she wasn't going to let this go, but he didn't question it, instead, he pulled her into his embrace, and snuggled under the covers, and after a few moments, they both drifted asleep.

"I thought you were dead."
Damon straightened his back, and slowly turned around to look at his brother, who he had not seen for over eight years. "Yeah, well, the rumors of my death were greatly exaggerated." He stated, opening his arms outward.
Stefan moved towards him, tears falling from his eyes, and embraced his long lost brother, tightly. Damon smiled as tears fell from his eyes, wrapping his arms around his brother.
"How did you survive?" Stefan asked, pulling back to look at his brother.
Damon frowned, and stepped back completely. "I woke up in a hospital in New York." He answered, turning away from his brother. "I had been taken there by an anonymous donor to get treatment." He replied, moving towards the small window in the room.
"Treatment for what?" Stefan asked, looking over his brother's body.
Damon bowed his head, but didn't turn around. "I had second degree burns on my chest and arms from the crash. The doctors said it was a miracle that I even made it out alive." He stated, sadly in a distant tone.
Stefan swallowed hard, and slowly approached him. "I would have come, if I had known, and you wouldn't have gone through that alone." He replied, causing his brother to glance over his shoulder at him.
"I know." He replied, turning back to the window.
Stefan studied him, and noticed that his left hand still had some scarring on it, but it appeared that Damon had some reconstructive surgery. "Who was the donor?" Stefan asked, after a moment.
Damon closed his eyes shut, and bowed his head. "You know who." He stated, with bile.
"Tyler." Stefan replied, stepping closer to his brother.
Damon nodded, and slowly turned to look at his brother. "After a few weeks, Tyler came to see me, told me that I had to work for him now to pay my debt, and if I didn't then he would kill you." He remarked, tears filling his eyes, as well as hate.
"He gave you no choice."
Damon scoffed, and shook his head. "Oh, I had a choice, Stefan." He replied, with a mock laugh. "I had a choice to kill him when he made the offer. I could've killed him, and we wouldn't be here." He added, turning away.
"If you had, then Klaus would not have found Caroline, Damon." Stefan remarked, trying to calm his brother.
Damon shook his head. "They would have found each other anyway, Stefan, you know that." He stated, with a smirk on his face.
Stefan sighed, and bowed his head. "What about Bonnie?" He asked, watching his brother still.
"What about her?" Damon asked, his voice choking.
"Are you going to tell her that you're alive?" Stefan asked, folding his arms over his chest.
Damon shook his head. "No, she's happy here. I've seen her." Damon replied, sadly. "I won't risk her happiness because I'm alive this go around." He added, turning to his brother.
Stefan sighed, and stepped closer. "She's stronger than you think, Damon." He remarked, firmly.
Damon shook his head. "But I'm not, Stefan." He added, pulling out a picture from his back pocket, and handing it to his brother. "Besides, I have someone else." He finished, with a small smile on his face, one that his brother saw right through.

Bonnie stared out of the window, clutching the sheet around her, and replayed the events of the night over and over in her mind. She still could not believe what had happened. It was impossible. How could this have happened? Were the Spirits playing some kind of trick on her?
She sat up in bed when she heard the ruckus outside of her window, and slowly slipped out of the bed, leaving a sleeping Kol behind. She wrapped the sheet around her nude body, and peered out of the window, and covered her mouth when she saw someone sneaking around.
"Alright, pretty boy, turn around, slowly, or else your brains are going to be scattered on the ground."
She wanted to move from the window, but her feet were glued to the floor, and when the figure turned around, her heart stopped in her chest.
"Damon?" She whispered, finally stepping back from the window. The next words confirmed her worst fears.
"Damon, Damon Salvatore. You're alive."
She closed her eyes at the memory, and leaned back when she felt arms surround her waist, and pulled her flush against his chest.
"What's troubling you, gypsy?" Kol whispered, feeling her start to withdraw from him.
She closed her eyes tighter and quickly turned in his arms. "Make love to me, Kol." She stated, planting her lips on his.
Kol wanted to pull back, and say not until you tell me the reason, but he couldn't. Not when they separated, and he saw the desperate look of someone who needed to be loved at that moment. He scooped her up in his arms, and carried her back to their bed with no questions asked, and preceded to make passionate, slow, longing, love to her.
As they moaned and groaned in unison, Bonnie forgot about her previous love, and only focused on the love she had at that moment. She loved the man hovering over her, making love to her, crying out her name with love and satisfaction, and nothing and no one was going to take him away.
Not even Damon Salvatore.
I want to apologize to the one who does not approve of the feel of this story, the guest who said it felt too much like supernatural than human or what have you. I'm sorry if you don't like the feel too much.
When I started this story, I had another take on how I wanted things to go down, but it ended up being like this, and I've always believed that no matter what you plan, something always changes, and it's always for the better no matter what anybody says. (Case in point, I wanted to be a historian, and it didn't work out, so I'm working to become a veterinarian. lol)
Next Chapter: Bonnie confronts Damon; Caroline and Klaus have a drastic argument; Tyler gets one step closer to achieving his goal. But will he succeed? Find out soon...
Until Next Time...
