Chapter 4: Erza and Natsu's Return and The 'Friendly' dinner.
I'm starting to think that asking Juvia out to eat is not a good idea... NO! I've got myself into this! I need to finish it! Nooothin' to worry about.. hehe... it's not like she's gonna overreact–
"Gray-sama!"
or maybe she will... Gray sweatdropped. The young Ice mage has just arrived at the guild when Juvia, as expected, half-tackled, half-hugged him.
"How are you Gray-sama? Juvia has missed you already!" Juvia said as she removed herself from Gray.
"..."
"Gray-sama?"
"..."
"Umm... hello? .. Gray-sama?"
"..."
"hey Gray! Hey Juvia!"
"Hello Ky-kun!" Juvia said to the person who just greeted.
Gray snapped out of his nervous trance as he noticed the unwanted presence before him. "Uhh... Juvia, can I ask you something?"
"Sure Gray-sama! What is it?" Juvia smiled
"Um.." Gray notices that Ky is listening as well.
"Um..." he notices Ky looking...
"Um..." still looking.
Gray's vein popped "Could I ask you something alone?!" Gray said as he specifically glared at Ky and went out of the guild.
"Uh, Sorry Juvia.. I guess I interrupted something, I was also going to ask you something but since Gray's waitin for you, I'll ask you later." said Ky as he smiled at Juvia apologetically.
"Thank you Ky-kun! Juvia will be right back!" Juvia said as she waved and went after Gray.
"Juvia! Oi Juvia! Wake-up!" Gray said as he shook Juvia slightly to wake her up
Gray and Juvia were infront of their guild in which Gray was waking a fainted Juvia.
Seriously, I wasn't even finish with my sentence! Why'd she faint this early!? Gray thought as he desperately tried to wake Juvia up.
Flashback ten seconds ago...
"Juvia..." Gray wasn't breathing. Come on Gray, It's just asking her out to some friendly dinner, man up! Where's elfman if you need him... "You see, Loke has these extra two coupons for dinner and he invited me to it and he said that I should bring a friend, so would you y-you go out-"
Juvia Fainted.
Present time...
"Oi oi Juvia!" Gray said as he struggled to wake the daydreaming-murmuring-blushing water mage.
"Y-yy-y g-G-Grre-e" Juvia murmured
"Oi!"
"Y-yy YES GRAY-SAMA!" Juvia said waking up hugging gray by the neck.
"huhh?" Gray was startled.
"Yes! Yes! Yes Gray-sama! Juvia will go out on a date with you!" Juvia said strangling Gray.
"d-dd-d-DATE!?" Gray stuttered as he struggled to breathe while having a slight blush adorning his cheeks. "You d-didn't even let me finish!"
"YES GRAY-SAMA! IT'S A DATE!" Juvia said hugging Gray for dear life as she started to melt into a water puddle.
"Ju-Juvia! Stop! Dont melt!" It-It's not a date!" Gray exclaimed as he unconsciuosly removed his shirt.
"I-It's not?" Juvia said pouting as she regained her 'structure'.
Phew! Gray sighed mentally " Yeah, were just having a friendly dinner between nakamas." Gray said emphasizing the word nakamas.
"Just Juvia and Gray-sama?"
"NO! No-no-no! It's with Loke and his companion. He got the coupons remember?"
"Ooooohhh! So it's a double date!"
"Ye-NOO! It's not! It's a friendly dinner!"
"Gray-sama can call our date whatever he wants!" Juvia said with sparkling eyes.
Gray sweatdropped "Whatever..." Gray sighed mentally. I give up...
Early that evening...
"What will Juvia do? What will Juvia wear? What will Juvia's hair style be?" Juvia said talking to herself as she paced back and forth in her room. " What if Gray-sama holds Juvia's hand? What if Gray-sama kisses Juvia?... WAAHHH~" Juvia went to her dreamland.
Knock! Knock! Knock! There was a loud Knocking at the door.
Juvia snapped out of her daydreaming. "Oh no!What if that's Gray-sama!? Gray-sama's too early! Juvia has one more hour to go! Gray-sama's too eager! Juvia said blushing as she walked to the door and for once he didn't want her Gray-sama to be the one behind it.
Juvia slowly popped her head from the door to see who is behind it. "who is it?"
"hello Juvia."
"E-e-erzaa-ja-jaaaan!" Cried Juvia as she hugged the said re-equip mage only to knock her head in Erza's Armor.
"What did Gray do this time?" Erza said as she patted Juvia's head.
"It's not w-what G-gray-sama did but what G-gray-sama will do! ERZA_SAAN~" cried the water mage.
"Juvia, I don't understand. Can you explain to me what you're saying?" Erza said as she let herself in inside Juvia's room and closed the door.
"You see, J-juvia has a date with g-gray-sama and Juvia doesn't now what to do..."
"DATE!? Gray!? You mean our Gray!? You mean our ice mage Gray!? The Gray of Fairy Tail asked you out on a date?" Erza exclaimed as she couldn't believe that Gray would have the guts to ask Juvia out on a date.
"Yes Erza-san. Erza-san should listen carefully. Soo you see, Juvia doesn't know what to do! Juvia doesn't know what to wear, Juvia doesn't know-" Juvia was cutted by strong hands gripping her shoulders.
"Juvia, calm down. Before anything else, where will you meet Gray? And will it only be the two of you?" Erza said still suspicious about the situation
"G-gray-sama will be picking Juvia up at the front of Fairy hills at 8pm a-and we will be accompanied by Loke-san and his companion as Gray-sama said." Juvia explained.
Erza sweatdropped. Figures. Gray still doesn't have the willpower to ask juvia out on a real date.. Erza sighed mentally. Well, I can't tell Juvia that so I might as well help her... "Okay Juvia, I will help you get ready. So you better listen carefully and o what I tell you to do."
" Yes Erza-san!" said Juvia half-determined, half-scared of what Erza might come up with.
"Which reminds Juvia Erza-san. Why did Erza-san come to Juvia's room in the first place?" Juvia asked
"Oh! Me and Natsu Just returned from our Job and we bought souvenirs. Here's yours." Erza said as she gave Juvia her souvenir.
"Thank you Erza-san! Did Natsu-san go to the guild?"
"No. He went straight straight to Lucy's House."
Lucy and Ky decided to go home early. Lucy was dying to ask what's with Ky and her fellow guildmate Juvia. She decided not to say anything about the water mage until they get to her house where Ky is temporarily staying while he is visiting his childhood friend a.k.a her.
When they finally reach her apartment, she went to the kitchen to make tea. And as she finished, she put the 2 cups on the table infront of the couch where Ky was sitting. Ky picked the cup up as she sat beside him.
"sooooo." Lucy said nudging her elbow at Ky.
"w-what? You're spilling the tea I'm holding. Stop that." Ky said as he tried to prevent his cup of tea from spilling.
"Baby." Lucy said as she stuck her tongue out to Ky.
"What did you just say?" said Ky as he put the cup down and looked directly at Lucy. "You're the one who's sticking her tongue out!" Ky said crossing his arms and smirking.
"haha! Just kidding! But seriously, sooooooo."
"sooooooo what? I don't get you Lucy. I think you're mind is in another universe. Come back to Earthland Lucy! Haha!"
Lucy punched Ky on the shoulder. Not lightly. "What's going on between you and Juvia? Lucy said with a sly smile.
"w-w-what? w-w-were just friends! What's with you Lucy?" said Ky blushing.
"ooooohh! Someone's blushing and stuttering. You Liiiiikke her!" said Lucy as she imitated Happy.
"W-WHAT? NOO! STOP THAT LUCY!" said Ky as he blushed 10x more.
"Then why are you blushing?" said Lucy raising her eyebrow with a sly smirk.
"b-b-BECAUSE!" said Ky as his whole face turn completely red.
"because what?"
"Just because! What about you huh!? heard from your guildmates that you're soo close with a certain fire dragon slayer. What his name again? Natsu is it?" Ky said as his blush resides and his face smirking.
"W-what?" said Lucy as a blush crept onto her face not believing that Ky just turned over the whole conversation to her.
Bingo! "yep. They said that you two were inseperable aaand that you two were always on jobs together." Ky said as he slowly inched his head towards Lucy with a sly smile emphasizing his point.
Lucy was beginning to blush so hard. She was inching away from Ky and was trying to come up with a retort when suddenly-
POW! Ky was punched in the face by a fist filled with fire.
"WHO ARE YOU AND WHY ARE YOU INSIDE LUCY'S ROOM!"
Juvia saw Gray at the front of Fairy hills so she hurriedly said thanks to Erza and ran downstairs. Juvia hopes she looks okay... Gray-sama, I hope you like how Juvia looks...
Gray on the other hand was waiting for Juvia to come downstairs. Okaayy. Coupons check! On time, check! Clothes still on...check! Phew! I hope it stays on. Wait... why am I even checking? who cares? I don't. I don't... Gray thought as he unconsciously removed his black leather Jacket as he stares at the ground.
"Gray-sama! Your Jacket!" said Juvia as she crouched down to get it.
Gray's head went up as he heard Juvia's voice. There, infront of her was Juvia in an evening blue dress that goes just below the knees. She was wearing black doll shoes and instead of her usual hat, she was wearing black headband with a butterfly on the side. She's beautiful...don't! Don't gray don't! You shouldn't. Gray thought.
"Gray-sama! You're so handsome!" Juvia said as she handed Gray his Jacket.
"Look good yourself." Gray said nonchalantly.
"Really Gray-sama!" Juvia said as she clutched her hands where a bracelet with a green raindrop is visible on her wrist.
"That's nice. Where'd ya get it?" Gray said pointing at Juvia's bracelet.
"Oh! It's from Ky-kun. Ky-kun gave it to Juvia as a thanks for showing Ky-kun around Magnolia."
he's more like bribing you. Tchh. Why'd I even ask!? "Oh. That's nice." Gray said as he turn around and walk to the venue. "Juvia, Let's Go. Loke and his companion are waiting for us."
"Y-yes Gray-sama!" said Juvia as she followed Gray to meet up with Loke and his companion.
"Natsu! Stop!" said Lucy as she struggled to keep Natsu from punching Ky again.
Said water mage was shocked as he stood up and gently walked towards the soon-to-be-all-fired-up dragon slayer. "Just relax. I ain't gonna steal Lucy from you." said Ky as he suppressed a smile coming from his now sore face.
"Ky!" exclaimed Lucy as she blushed again from Ky's statement. She unconsciously removed his hands on Natsu because of embarrassment and that gave Natsu a chance to tackle the said water mage.
"You better be tellin' the truth coz I ain't gonna give Lucy to anyone!" Natsu said with his eyes piercing onto Ky.
Lucy was blushing so much even her ears are red.
Ky struggled to contain his Laughter. "Natsu, Im not a bad guy. I'll Tell you why I'm here, but first of all, can you get off of me."
Natsu without Looking away at Ky with his menacing glare said to Lucy "Luce, Is he tellin' the truth or is he trying to kidnap you or take advantage of you?"
Lucy's blush was residing. "Natsu, He's tellin the truth so get off of him."
Said Fire dragon slayer stood up without even helping the guy he tackled up.
Ky removed the dust from his pants. "Oookay. First things first. My name's Ky. Ky Mariontell. I'm Lucy's Childhood friend." Ky said gesturing for Natsu to shake his hand.
"Luce, Is this true?" Natsu asked
Ky and Lucy sweatdropped.
"Natsu, Trust me. Either I like it or not, He's my childhood friend." said Lucy crossing her arms while smirking.
"Hey!" Ky exclaimed.
Lucy giggled "Now shake his hand Natsu!"
Natsu shook Ky's hand. Hard. "Natsu. Natsu dragneel of Fairy Tail. I'm Lucy's present friend."
Pffft. This Guy's so obvious. "Nice to meet you."
"He liiiikkees her." said Happy
"Happy! Where'd you come from?" Lucy exclaimed
"Natsuuu~! Lucy's being mean to mee! I was here all this time~!" Happy said as he flew towards the said dragon slayer.
Ky sweatdropped. So that's how Lucy got that expression. "Don't worry Natsu, I don't like Lucy that way."
Lucy blushed. Seriosly, How many times will she blush!
"What do you mean you don't like Lucy? She's your Friend!" Natsu asked oblivious.
"No,no! I mean I don't like like her."
"You're making me mad. Why don't you like her? SHE'S YOUR FRIEND!" Natsu said getting angrier by the second.
No way.. don't tell me...Ky looked at Lucy who currently facepalmed herself. Ky sweatdropped. NO FREAKING WAY! HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW THAT HE LIKES LUCY!? HAHAHA! POOR LOO! HAHAHA! Ky didn't even notice that he was currently voicing out his laughter.
Ky was punched. Again.
"HOW DARE YOU! DID YOU EVEN THINK EVEN FOR JUST A SECOND THAT SHE'S YOUR FRIEND!? ARE YOU EVEN LUCE'S FRIEND!" Natsu said pissed as he thought tht Ky laughed because of being Lucy's Friend.
Okay.. I deserved that. Ky thought as he backed away from Natsu. "stop, stop! You're misunderstanding something."
Lucy was hiding her laughter. Serves you right Ky! Hahaha! Lucy thought as she looked at Ky who was backing away, trying not to use his magic, from the... the.. All-fired-up dragon slayer! Oh no!
"Natsu! Stop!" Lucy exclaimed.
"No Luce! He's just tricking you!"
"Stop Natsu! He likes me okay! He likes me!" Lucy said
Both male mages looked at Lucy. One with a shocked face. One with an unreadable expression.
What is this feeling? Why am I getting angrier? Natsu thought.
"K-ky! You like me right? You like me as my friend right?"
Ooooohhh. I get it. Phew! Got out of this situation... "Yes! Yes! I like you as my friend!"
"Then WHY did you say you don't like her earlier?" Natsu exclaimed trying to reduce his flames even though he's still mad.
"Umm.. Umm.. I'm messin' with you?" Ky said more like a question than a statement.
"YOU FU-" Natsu was kicked by Lucy.
"Stop it already!" Lucy exclaimed.
"Why'd I get kicked too?" Happy said
"Because you both are being unreasonable!"
"Sorry Luce..." Natsu said pouting.
Lucy sighed. "As long as you understand, It's fine."
Natsu quickly brightened up and hugged Lucy. Happy following behind. "Thanks Luce, You're the best!"
As Ky was Looking at the scene infront of him, he can't help but to wiggle his eyebrows at Lucy and point at Natsu and her then make a heart shape out of his hands.
Lucy's vein popped. Okay Lucy, breathe in breathe out, in and out. "Oookay. Natsu, as Ky has not yet said, He's here because he visited me here in Magnolia. He's currently staying here at the moment while he's visiting."
"Yeah. Sorry to intrude." said Ky
"Why are you saying sorry to him? It's MY house!" Lucy exclaimed.
"It's okay man. Sorry for punching ya. Twice." Natsu said.
"Am I being Ignored?" Lucy said
"It's okay Natsu. By the way, since you're here, here's your gift. Lucy and I saved you and her friend Erza gifts from the time I brought them to the guild."
"Wow. Thanks!"
"Ow!" both male mages exclaimed as Lucy punched both of their heads. "What was that for!"
"Haha! I'm not punched." said Happy
"You're Lucky I only have two hands you blue cat!" said Lucy
"Natsu!~" cried Happy
"ARIES?" exclaimed Gray as he and Juvia approached Loke both wondering why Aries is with him.
"Your date-i mean companion is Aries!?" said Gray to Loke.
Loke rolled his eyes "Yep. Since it's a dinner between friends, might as well bring a friend. Right Aries?" said Loke putting his arm around Aries.
"Y-yes." said the shy celestial spirit.
Two hours ago before Ky and Lucy got out of the guild...
"Hey Lucy!"
"LOKE!? Why are you here? again!? Seriously!?" exclaimed Lucy.
"Got a date remember?" Loke said
Lucy rolled her eyes. She was sitting on one of the bar stools with Ky beside her. "Seriously, do you even wait for me to summon you anymore?"
Loke smiled at Lucy. "aanyways, I might as well cancel my date since Gray and Juvia are coming along."
"GRAY and JUVIA are coming along!?" exclaimed Lucy.
"Yes Lucy. Geez, you should really Listen." said Loke
Lucy's vein popped. "You want me to kick you!?" Lucy sighed "Anyways, How'd that happen?"
"Got extra coupons, so Gray asked Juvia if she could come. And knowing the water mage, she accepted." Loke shrugged.
"aahh. I see..." Lucy said as she observed her childhood friend's reaction beside him. Ky, for a second, Looked somewhat said but later turned into an unreadable expression. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Looks like Ky here has got his first crush, or maybe even love. Hihi. I'll totally ask him when we get home. Hihi. "Loke, Remember the gift I gave you? It's from him." Lucy said pointing at Ky.
"Hi I'm Ky. Nice to meet you." smiled Ky as he shook Loke's hand.
So this is Ky. Looks like you really are in trouble gray. "Loke, Your a water mage right? Just like Juvia? I'm Lucy's. Lucy's one and only Leo celestial spirit." announced Loke.
Lucy sweatdropped.
"Yep, I'm a water mage. Celestial spirit, Niice." replied Ky "I'll Just go to the restroom. Be back in a minute." said Ky as he stood up and walk to the restroom.
"Sooo anyways Lucy, as I was saying, since Gray and Juvia are coming along, I might as well cancel the date and ask a friend to come with me."
"So you're asking me to come? I can't, Ky's here. How about Aries?" Lucy said
"Okay."
"That was fast." Lucy smiled. And if you squint you can see Lucy's eyes having a mischievous aura around it.
"But I better warn you, I'm going to try and help gray out. That's why I need a friend who could help me help Gray out. I'm sorry if I'm taking Gray's side than Ky's."
Lucy was surprised. "How'd you know Ky likes Juvia? Is he that readable?"
"Palease Lucy, I was observing him the whole time and as soon as I said Juvia's name, he perked up and Listened." Loke said.
Lucy sweatdropped "Since Gray is also my friend, I'll help him." and you too Loke. Hehe. "I'll summon Aries and tell her what's gonna happen. But other than that, you're on your own. I can't take sides."
"Sure." Loke said
"Sooo. What did I miss?" Ky asked
Present time...
Aries was already informed of what Loke was planning. So after Gray and Juvia's shocked reactions, They proceeded to the restaurant. The restaurant was a small and cute diner and they settled themselves in a 4 person table. Loke and Aries on one side, Gray and Juvia on the other. They ordered and waited for their dinner to arrive.
Awkward silence...
Gray coughed. "Sooo, how's it goin Aries? Is living in the celestial world fun? How's the Celestial King?" Gray asked
Aries and Loke sweatdropped.
"Umm... It's okay there.., quite peaceful... and.. and the King is alright." replied Aries shyly.
"That's good. That's good." Gray said.
Awkward silence.. Again...
"Sir, Ma'am-"
"WHAT?" Loke and Gray seemingly wanting something exciting to happen both exclaimed to the waiter. Who by the way spilt some of the Juice he's holding.
"Uu-uhh, h-here i-is y-your refreshmentssirma'ambye." said the waiter as he put the beverages on the table and dashed for his life.
"Great. We scared the waiter." Gray said. All of them sweatdropped.
"Sooo Juvia, How's it goin? Has Gray become more attracting to you?" Loke smirked

Juvia who was waking from her stance of ogling Gray Looked at Loke and said "That's great Loke-san." Juvia smiled.
Gray facepalmed.
"Sir, Ma'am, your dinner is ready." said the new waiter as he looked at Juvia longer than the rest of them.
FINALLY! All of them thought.
Let the plan begin! Loke thought looking at Aries as she nodded understanding.
"Waaah~ The food looks delicious Gray-sama!" Juvia exclaimed.
"Yeah. It does-" Gray was cutted.
"Loke.. Umm..um.. would you like a bite of my dish?" Asked Aries holding a spoon for Loke.
Loke smiled (squint and you'll see he's smiling slyly) "Sure" and he happily ate it.
BASTARD! YOU PLANNED THIS! Gray thought.
"G-g-gray-sama~ w-would you like some of Juvia's dish as well?"
meanwhile...
"Are you guys finished ignoring me?"
"we never were Lucy. You're sooo sensitive." Ky said.
"Oh. I'll show you sensitive." said Lucy as she approached the said water mage and kicked him in the stomach.
While Lucy was busy punching Ky to a pulp, Natsu was observing them... more like Natsu was unconsciously glaring at them... more like glaring at Ky... "HEY KY!"
Lucy stopped hitting Ky as she heard Natsu's voice.
"Yes Natsu?" Asked Ky.
"You a mage?" Asked Natsu.
"Yep. A water mage just like Juvia."
"Really?" Natsu said as a smile crept on his face
"Yeah..." said Ky
"Natsu..." Lucy said
"Fight me." Natsu said as he grinned mischievously.
Back to the diner...
"Uuh.. uh.. It's okay Juvia, I'm okay with my food."
"G-g-gray-sama d-d.." Juvia started to Cry.
OH NO. "O-oi Juvia a-a" Gray looked at loke who was hiding his laughter with his hand. Bastard. "Juvia, I'll eat, I'll eat it. Just stop!" Gray said panicking.
"Really Gray-sama? YEY!" Juvia exclaimed
"Just make sure you don't repeat what you did la-" Juvia's spoon was inside Gray's mouth before he even finished his sentence,
Gray coughed and coughed and Loke couldn't hold his laughter anymore.
"Loke-san, is there anything wrong?" Juvia asked
Gray couldn't stop glaring at Loke. What did I get myself into?
After that incident, everything was going smoothly until...
"Aries, you have something in your face." said Loke as he got a napkin and wipe Aries' face with it.
NO WAY. NO FREAKIN' WAY. Gray thought.
"Gray-sama~" Juvia said
Gray turned to Juvia and saw her whole face almost completely covered with Gravy.
Gray, Loke, and Aries Sweatdropped.
"Gray-sama, There's something on Juvia's face. Can Gray-sama wipe it for Juvia?" Juvia said.
"W-w-what?" Gray said nervously.
"Pleeeaassee" Juvia said. "Loke-san did it to Aries-san..."
I will hate you forever you celestial cat! "o-o-okay.." Gray reached for a napkin and he slowly wiped Juvia's face. As he was about to finish, Juvia inched her face closer to him causing the ice mage to fall from his seat.
"Gray-sama! Are you okay?"
"I-i'm fine. Just do me a favor Juvia and wipe the rest of the gravy off your face."
"Natsu! This isn't the time and place to fight!" Lucy said.
"Aww come on Luce! Me and Gray do it all the time!" Natsu whined.
"and dont you BOTH always get scolded?" Lucy said
"But-"
"Come on Loo, we'll just find a place where we can't damage anything." Ky said
"You're Agreeing to it?" Lucy said
"Why not? This'll be great for practice and for trying out my new moves."
"Yeah! What he said." added Natsu
"I give up.." Lucy sighed.
Gray and the rest were all finished with their platters and were calling the waiter for their bill. The same waiter who gave their food approached their table with a parfait.
"Ma'am, here is your parfait." said the waiter to Juvia as he gave her what he thinks is a charming smile.
" . Ju-juvia didn't order dessert." Juvia said.
"It's on the house for a beautiful young lady like yourself." said the waiter ignoring Juvia's company.
"Uh.. uh.. Tha-thank you." said Juvia a he waited for the waiter to walk away so that she could give the ice cream to somebody else.
"well, take a bite. I made it especially for you." said the waiter not noticing a dark aura beside the young water mage.
" .." Juvia nodded If that will make the waiter go away, Juvia will eat it. Juvia thought as she scooped some of the ice cream. But before her spoon has even reached her mouth, Gray grasped her wrist and ate the ice cream on her spoon.
The waiter. Juvia. Loke. And Aries. Were dumbfounded.
"That's some good ice cream you got there." said Gray to the waiter. "Tell your Manager he did a great job on training his staff." Gray glared at the waiter.
The waiter after getting the payment for their food on the table dashed for his life.
Gray turned to Loke and Aries and he saw Loke with a shocked expression turning into a smirk. He saw Aries with both hands on her cheeks. Gray gulped, he was now nervous what Juvia looks like. Why did I even do that? He then turned to Juvia and he saw that she still hasn't move from the position where he ate her ice cream. She was completely red in the face.
"G-g-gray-sam-" Juvia fainted.
"Oi Juvia!" Gray exclaimed.
While Gray was busy reviving the fainted water mage, Loke looked at Aries and knew it was time. They asked Lucy to make Aries return to the celestial world in exactly thirty secoonds from now. Then Loke also returning making Aries' disappearance an excuse so that they can let Gray and Juvia have their alone time.
Okay 5 seconds more.. four.. three.. two.. one.. Aries didn't disappear.
What happened to Lucy? I got a bad feeling about this. Loke thought but as he thought that Aries disappeared. What the? Why is Lucy late? She hasn't been late before? It's like she's distracted or preoccupied!?

Gray and the now Awoken Juvia noticed Aries disappearance and immediately asked where she was.
"while you two were busy cuddling-"
"WE WERE NOT CUDDLING!" Gray exclaimed
"Okay. Okay. While you two were busy... busy. She disappeared. Her time might be up so she came back to the celestial world. But to make sure she's there, I'll go too. It was nice seeing the both of you. Enjoy the rest of the night." Loke said
"wait!" Gray said but it was too late, Loke was gone.
Great! Now it's just the two of us! Thanks a lot you bastard! Gray thought
Natsu, Ky, and Lucy were at a field not far from Fairy hills. They were about to begin the match.
Why am I even agreeing to this? Lucy thought "Okay! Before anything else. I have to remind you both of some rules. No cheating, meaning you will not use anything other than your powers. As much as possible, No swearing. NO going all out especially you Natsu-" "But Lucy-" "NO BUTS, and last but not the least NO BREAKING ANYTHING or else you'll have to pay for it. Are we clear?" said Lucy.
"Clear." both of the male mages said.
"I SAID ARE WE CLEAR?" said Lucy
"CLEAR!" Both said
"Okay, one, two, three, FIGHT!"
Gray and Juvia decided to take the longer route to Fairy Hills since Juvia kept insisting on it when they were kicked out of the diner soon after Loke and Aries disappeared since Gray unconsciously stripped because of nervousness. Juvia was surprisingly quiet as he held onto Gray's arm while he looked at everywhere but Juvia not even trying to get away from Juvia's grasp because he knows it's not possible anytime soon.
"Gray-sama! This has been a great night for Juvia."
"Uhuh." Gray said
"Gray-sama really is Juvia's Prince charming!" Juvia exclaimed
"..."
"Hey, Gray-sama." Juvia said as she stopped and Looked at Gray.
Gray looked at her and regretted it. Juvia was wearing one of the best smiles she had ever worn on her face. "I love you Gray-sama." Juvia said
Gray was shocked. One, because Juvia referred to herself as I. Two, because he had heard juvia proclaim so many times but it was rare for her to say it so calmly, so loving, so tender.. He saw in her eyes all of Juvia's mixed emotions of desire, hurt, Love and so much more. Slowly he began to not think. He began to speak. "I... I-"
BOOM!
Both Gray and Juvia coughed as a cloud of smoke surround them. When the smoke slowly disapppeared they saw a pink-haired boy crashed against a tree.
"Natsu?/Natsu-san?" Both mages exclaimed at the same time.
Natsu turned to them "What're you guys doing here?"
"What we're doing here? what are YOU doing here?" Gray said as he touched foreheads with Natsu.
"I'm havin' a fight can't you see Ice prick?"
"I'm walking Juvia home, Can't you see flame breathe?"
As they were bickering, Lucy and Ky came running towards them.
Natsu removed his forehead from Gray and crossed his arms. "Don't tell me.. You and Juvia had a date? Hehe. When me and Erza were away, You finally had the guts to ask her ice cube?"
"WHAT! IT WAS NOT A DATE! IT WAS A FRIENDLY DINNER!" said Gray as he tried to land a punch on Natsu.
"call it what you want." said Natsu
I Can't believe this guy can tease people about their love lives but he can't even tell that he likes or even loves somebody.. Ky thought as he looked at Natsu, then at Gray, then at Juvia...
"IT WASN'T EVEN JUST THE BOTH OF US! LOKE AND ARIES WERE THERE!" Gray said.
"Then where are they now?" Natsu said.
"CAN YOU PLEASE STOP IT!" Lucy yelled at both of the mages.
"Hey Juvia.." said Ky as he smiled. She's gorgeous...
Lucy, Gray, and Natsu looked at the two water mages.
"Hi Ky!" Juvia smiled
YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY TWO PERSONS HERE, YOU FREAKIN' WATER BOY. Gray thoughtas he removed himself beside Lucy and Natsu and went beside Juvia.
"Hey Gray." said Ky
"So, What's with the fight Natsu was talkin' about." Gray said not even bothering to reply Hi.
"Oh. Natsu and I were fighting. He wanted a fight, so, yeah." Ky said.
"I didn't want this." Lucy said.
"So, let me guess. Slanty eyes lost." Gray said.
"NO! We werent even finish droopy eyes! You just got to disturb my fight do you!"
"OH REA-"Gray started but was soon stopped by a glaring Lucy.
"We can finish it. You guys want to see?" Ky said.
"Gray-sama! Let's watch! Let's watch!" Juvia said.
"Yeah. Let's watch. I want to see flame breathe lose." said Gray or better yet, water boy lose.
The fight was still goin on. Natsu had just used his Fire Dragon's roar when Ky used his water lock to lock himself in it and use it as a shield. Then after Ky dispersed the water making it also an offense attack towards the dragon slayer which he barely avoided. Juvia and the rest were watching and she can't help be in awe at Ky's moves and how Gracefully he uses his water to his advantage. Gray on the other hand can't decide which of the two boys he would rather like to lose because it seems the level of hate is comparatively the same. Gray looked at Juvia and he saw her so engrossed in Ky and he can't help but feel a certain pain in his heart. It seems there's someone who can make you smile like that other than me... I-i think it's for the better... I shouldn't be the one who will be beside you... I know you woudn't understand so please just... just... Gray couldn't bare to look at Juvia anymore so before Juvia or Lucy noticed, he walked away from them.
"Gray-sama! It's so beautiful! I hope Juvia can do the same-" Juvia was surprised to not see her beloved Gray-sama beside her. "Gray-sama?"
