Please remember to review at the end! :)

The morning was cold and uninviting as Caroline stepped out into the street. Pulling the hood over her head, she headed down the street. She narrowed her eyes against the wind, and though she knew the weather was usually warm and inviting at this time of year, to her, it was cold.

She made it down to the second block, when she took out a piece of paper, and read the directions. For a moment she was grateful that Klaus had left the paper with the directions to where Tyler wanted to meet.

"It's not polite to leave without so much as a goodbye or at the very least a letter."

Caroline sighed, and slowly turned around to find Jean, Bonnie, and Rebekah standing behind her. "What are you three doing here?" She asked, turning back to street.

"We've come to stop you, but" Jean began, stepping forward. "Seeing as how you are just as stubborn as you were in the past, I can tell we should just come with you." She stated, folding her arms over her chest.

Caroline rolled her eyes. "I have to do this alone." She stated, stepping further down the street.

"Like hell." Jean shouted, as the others joined her in following Caroline.

Caroline groaned, and slowly turned around to find them following. "This is my fight." She stated, shaking her head.

Bonnie shook her head. "No, it's ours, Caroline." She stated firmly.

"She's right." Rebekah stated, and for a moment Caroline could see Klaus' stubbornness in her eyes. "Besides that, Nik is my brother." She stated, firmly.

"And mine." Jean stated, nodding her head. "See, you're outvoted, three to one." She added, pointing to the others and then to Caroline.

Caroline sighed, and closed her eyes. "If I say no, you'll still follow me, won't you?" She asked, though she already knew the answer.

The other three nodded their heads, and smiled as she finally sighed and nodded. "Alright." She whispered, shaking her head.

"So, since you've left the safety of the apartment, you must have a plan." Jean remarked, glaring softly at Caroline.

Caroline nodded, and held out the paper. "Klaus and I received this two days ago." She replied, handing them the note.

Rebekah's eyes widened, and lifted her gaze to Jean, who narrowed her eyes, anger flashing in them. "You didn't know Tyler would follow us." She concluded, as Jean shook her head.

Caroline smiled, kindly at Jean, and nodded. "It has an address on the back, and that's where Klaus went yesterday." She replied, shaking her head.

Bonnie nodded, and gazed at the address. "This is for an old building just on the outskirts of town." She replied, lifting her eyes to Caroline.

Caroline nodded her head, and sighed. "I know." She replied, lifting her IPhone in her hands. "I already mapped out a way to get there." She added, pulling up the map.

Jean sighed, and shook her head. "No offense, blondie, but Tyler is probably going to suspect that you are on your way." She replied, glancing at the other two.

Caroline sighed, and lowered her phone. "I know." She repeated, sadly.

"You can't be thinking what I think you're thinking." Bonnie replied, shaking her head.

"If it saves Klaus…" Caroline began, but the others shook their heads.

"You can't give yourself to Tyler. That's exactly what he wants." Rebekah stated, urgently.

"I know," Caroline began, softly. "But…" She added, lifting her gaze to the others. "He's not going to expect all of us." She replied, lifting her brows, mischievously.

The others smiled, and nodded, agreeing with their friend.

"Let's go kick some Tyler ass." Jean remarked, smirking, causing the others to laugh and nod in agreement.

Elijah snuck around the building, and sighed as he peered into the windows. He frowned, as he slowly opened the door, and found the place empty. He looked around, and sighed.

Slowly pulling out his 9mm gun, he pulled the hammer back, and walked around the room. He knelt down at the spot on the floor, and frowned even more when he saw blood stains.

"Niklaus." He whispered, standing up, and looked around once more. He let out a low growl as he quickly left the building.

He had been too late.

Kol rolled over, and quickly woke up when he found the spot beside him empty. He sat up, and quickly looked around the room, and frowned when no sign of her could be found.

He quickly jumped out of bed, and pulled on his pants, and made his way through the apartment, still no sign of her.

He frowned, and paused as he found a note on the counter, and lifted it to read.

Gone to help Caroline save Klaus. I'll be fine, my love.

I love you.

Bonnie.

He growled, as he folded it up, and threw it across the room. He gripped the counter for a brief moment, and realized what he could do.

Rushing towards the front door, he jerked it open, and headed out into the hall. He needed answers, and only one person could give it to him.

"Are you sure this is what the map says?" Bonnie asked, glancing at Caroline.

Caroline nodded, and handed her friend the phone. "This is what it says." She whispered, glancing at the small shack in front of them.

Jean rolled her eyes. "Trust him to pick something out that's dark and spooky." She replied, shaking her head.

Rebekah shook her head, and sighed. "How do we know their even in there?" She asked, moving her head towards the shack.

Caroline smiled, and nodded. "He's in there." She whispered, knowingly. "I can feel him."

Bonnie smiled, and touched her friend's hand. "We'll get him out, Caroline." She replied, softly.

Jean and Rebekah nodded in agreement.

Caroline sighed, and studied the shack. "Question is, how are we going to get in there?" She asked, moving her eyes around.

Jean sighed, and slumped, slightly. "Well, I would say, I could take you in, but Tyler probably knows I'm back to my former self, so I won't be any good to you." She stated, with a grim look.

Caroline nodded, and sighed. "I guess the only thing to do would be to walk right in." She replied, firmly.

"Oh, I love it." Jean stated, rolling her eyes. "Just walk right up to the door, and say, 'Hi, psychopath, I'm home.' Yeah, that'll work." She added, shaking her head.

Caroline shook her head, and smiled. "I had something else in mind." She replied, staring at the shack.

"Damn, I hate that look in her eyes." Jean stated, shaking her head.

Rebekah and Bonnie exchanged glances and smiled. They knew that look as well. It was the look of determination from the former Swan Queen.

Kol pounded on the door, and pushed passed Sophie as he entered the room. "Where is he?" He demanded, glaring at her.

Sophie sighed, and pointed towards the doorway to the small hallway.

"Kol, what a pleasant surprise." Damon remarked, shaking his head.

"Cut the shit, Damon." Kol remarked, stepping towards him. "Where is Tyler?" He asked, in a demanding tone.

"You woke us up at seven in the morning to ask me that?!" Damon demanded, narrowing his blue eyes.

Kol frowned as he glared at Damon. "Caroline has gone after Nik, and so has Bonnie!" He shouted, watching Damon's eyes widen.

"She what?!" Damon asked, glaring at Kol.

Kol nodded, and turned away from his former friend. "I woke up this morning, and found Bonnie gone. I thought she would be in the kitchen, because she likes to fix a cup of coffee when she can't sleep, but she wasn't in there." He stated, turning back to Damon. "Instead, I found a note, telling me that she went to help Caroline bring Nik back." He added his tone softer than before.

Damon sighed, and felt a hand touch his arm. He turned his gaze to see Sophie nodding towards him with a soft gaze. "Tyler has several buildings located in the city." He began, shaking his head. "But since he has Klaus, I imagine he will want to keep him someplace secluded to do what he wants to do." He added, sadly.

Kol picked up on the hidden message, and stepped towards him. "What does he want?" He asked, knowing it was something besides the obvious.

"He wants Caroline for himself, but he can't do that as himself, so he intends to take over Klaus' life." Damon explained, shaking his head.

Kol pieced the puzzle together in his mind, and shook his head. "No," He whispered, as Damon nodded. "Surely, he knows that Caroline won't be fooled by that?" He asked, stepping closer to him.

Damon shrugged his shoulders. "He thinks he can do it." He answered, sighing.

Kol ran his hand over his face before threading it through his unruly hair. "What about Bonnie?" He asked, watching Damon shake his head.

"I don't know." Damon stated, sadly.

Kol groaned, and turned towards the door.

"What are you going to do?" Sophie called, holding onto Damon's arm.

Kol looked over his shoulder, and his eyes flashed with determination. "I'm going to get my fiancée back." He stated, opening the door and left the couple in the room, alone.

"Go with him, Damon." Sophie replied, softly.

Damon looked down at her, and smiled. "I love you." He whispered, kissing her gently before turning to get dressed.

"I love you." Sophie whispered, smiling, relieved that this was about to be over.

Or at least she hoped it would be.

Caroline stared at the shack, and frowned. The sun was about to set, and she knew she needed to go soon.

"You should get some rest." Bonnie replied, sitting beside her.

Caroline shook her head. "I can't. Not when he's in pain." She replied, rubbing her chest.

"He's strong, Caroline." Bonnie replied, touching her friend's back.

Caroline nodded, and sighed. "I know." She whispered, tears filling her eyes. "I just hate to feel his pain, knowing I can't do anything to stop it." She added, sadly.

"You will." Bonnie reassured her friend.

"How did Kol feel about you coming?" Caroline asked, glancing at her friend.

Bonnie sighed. "He didn't know, but I imagine he knows now." She replied, bowing her head. She lifted her head, and sighed when Caroline lifted her brows. "I, uh, left without telling him." She added, softly.

Caroline smiled, and touched her hand. "Well, I'm glad you came." She replied, kindly.

Bonnie nodded, and smiled. "So am I." She replied, looking over her shoulder. "Rebekah said Stefan is going after Elijah, and she sent him the coordinates to the shack, so they should be here before dawn." She added, watching Caroline nod.

"You know, a year ago, I was just a college girl, waiting to graduate and get a job, not knowing that I was actually a reincarnated princess with a love that has lived for eight-hundred years." Caroline stated, shaking her head. "Now, I'm here, and it feels like the most natural thing in my life." She replied, with a scoff.

"We never know what we are capable of until our love and life is threatened." Bonnie replied, wisely.

Caroline nodded, and sighed. "That's true." She whispered, staring at the shack. She groaned, and gripped her chest.

"Caroline," Bonnie cried, lowly, holding her friend close. "Send him your love and strength." She whispered as Caroline subdued a loud cry. "Send it to him."

Klaus muffled a cry as Tyler punched his stomach. He wanted so much to punch back, but with his hands tied to the chair, he couldn't move.

Tyler stepped back, and another man same forward, and punched him once again. "Now, this would go so much more smoothly if you would just give up, Klaus." He stated, jerking Klaus' head back by the hair.

Klaus groaned, and glared at him, inhaling deeply, he spit blood into Tyler's face, causing the boy to shout in aggravation as he wiped the blood from his face.

"You will never have her, Tyler." Klaus stated, through the gurgle of his throat.

Tyler scoffed, and stepped towards him. "Yes, I will, because this is my time." He stated with a growl.

Klaus glared at him, and grunted as a hot knife, cut across his abs, but didn't penetrate deep, just left a burn.

He felt his heart pound, and fill with love. He closed his eyes, and suppressed a smile as he felt her. She was near.

She was…

What?

~XXX~

Caroline smiled as she felt a peace surround her, and she fingered the pendant around her neck. She was sending her love to him, and she knew he could feel it.

It made her smile in the setting sun, and filled her heart with hope. At that moment, she knew they would survive this.

They had to.

"Caroline," Jean called, causing her to open her eyes to rest on the brown haired woman. "It's time."

Caroline nodded, and smiled. Turning her face to shack, she smiled once again. "I'm coming, my love. I'm coming."

~Flashback~

This killed him above anything, being so close to her, and yet so far. He longed to see her. Closing his eyes, he imagined what she was doing, and her face. The wedding was the day after tomorrow, and he couldn't bear the thought of her marrying Tyler.

-Break-

Klaus nodded in understanding. Memories were surfacing more frequently so close to the endgame and he understood that. Memories of Caroline flooded his mind, even though she was so close.

"I said, you should get some rest, Elijah. We are attacking at dawn." Klaus replied, sternly.

Elijah nodded, and turned on his heel to his tent, leaving Klaus alone with his thoughts.

"I'm here, Caroline. I'm coming." Klaus whispered, as the darkness began to envelope them.
