Sorry for the delay this is kinda a filler chapter so that it can lead into the next thing and yes Madge will be in the next chapter for those of you wondering what will happen to Madge now. And as I've said a bunch of times now I DO NOT OWN THE HUNGER GAMES. but this is so you should all already know that
Clove's pov
I wake up to a shrill screech from Chloe.
"Clove get your ass up! It is Saturday cheer tryouts were yesterday and since coach is making us raise the money for the new cheer uniforms we have to get going the doors won't ask for money themselves now GET UP! Oh and put your cheerform on."
"cheerform?" I ask nearly unintelligibly
"Yes" Chloe replies in a way I can tell she is scowling at me. "Cheerleading uniform is too long to say when we are on a time limit so get your ass out of bed or I'm getting a pitcher of cold water to pour on you." I roll out of bed lazily and crawl my way to the bathroom making Chloe glare at me worse.
"Give me 30 minutes" I mumble as I close the door to the bathroom and drag myself into the shower. 30 minutes later I am dressed in my cheer leading uniform with my hair in a perfectly curled high ponytail with my cheer team bow tied around it. My makeup is simple but noticeable, foundation, mascara, eyeliner and lipstick that is red but not too bright. "Hurry up!" Chloe yells exasperated. I fling open the bathroom door and run for the dorm door grabbing my money bucket on the way out Chloe trailing right behind me with the same attire I have. We walk across the hall and knock on Cato's door. He and Mark argue a bit about who should answer the door but eventually the door opens and Cato stands there. His eyes scan our appearance and he smiles.
"What brings you to my door dressed like that?" he asks smirking and raising an eyebrow. I just smile at him so Chloe huffs and begins the explanation.
"Look at our uniforms this is the 21st century these will not do. But coach will not pay for the new uniforms so we have to raise the money." I'm still lost in Cato's eyes so Chloe huffs again and continues.
"Each uniform costs $200 to buy and we need 50 of them" She hold up the catalog to show Cato and smirks when his eyes widen. "And since the new uniforms will be mid drift shirts instead of full shirts and the skirts will be an inch shorter with a slit up the side and your GIRLFRIEND is on the cheerleading squad I feel you should donate. " She states this all in a matter of seconds then she proceeds to push past him and tell the same thing to mark (minus the whole girlfriend thing) and I'm left standing here holding the donations box. Cato walks into his room and comes back holding a $50 dollar bill which he places in the donations box. I smile and stand up on my tippy toes to kiss him. My lips have barely touched his before I am being dragged away by Chloe. I look down and realise that there's another $20 from Mark in the box. We continue like this with every door on the district 2 floor, well not every door we skip Brutus's door. We end up raising a total of $800 on our floor. I skip district 1 because I have a girl from the cheer squad named Megan doing that floor. We continue on up to district 3. This time we split up each taking a box and taking half the rooms. This floor raises $200 dollars and I scowl rolling my eyes the nerds tend to be from district 3 and they've never really cared about cheerleading. Next we head up to district 4 and me and Chloe sticking together knowing josh will give me money but Chloe wanting to see him. I march right up to Josh's door and bang on it with my fist. When he opens it he smiles
"Sup cloverfield." I scowl at the nickname and roll my eyes.
"We need money for new cheer uniforms." I say giving him my best puppy dog eyes. Chloe hold up the pick of the new uniforms and his eyes widen.
"There is no way my honorary sister is wearing that!" he exclaims. I roll my eyes, great protective big brother mode.
"Pleeeeaaaaasssseeeeeeee?" I say pouting and giving him puppy dog eyes he looks at me and sighs reaching into his pocket and getting out his wallet he then hands me a $50 bill and then throws something at his roommate how comes and hands us $20 I smile and hug the both of them. Then I skip away happily. Annie hands over $50 as well and we end up with a total of $500 from this floor. At the end of the day we put the money together and it ended up like this
District 1: $800
District 2: $800
District 3: $200
District 4: $500
District 5: $400
District 6: $300
District 7: $400
District 8: $300
District 9: $300
District 10: $250
District 11: $400
District 12: $400
Teachers: $200
Leaving us with a total of $5, 250. And $4,750 away from our goal. District 1 and 2 had coughed up the most money because they were the districts with the most cheerleaders and by turn the cheerleader's boyfriends. We decided that each cheerleader would just have to cough up $70 dollars for their uniform. But even with the additional money we would still be $1,250 dollars off so I sighed and threw in another hundred dollars and Chloe did the same. We then got up and collected the $70 dollars from all the cheerleader. We were now only missing $1,050. I sighed and reluctantly took the bucket and headed down the hall to the last door and knocked. Brutus opened the door and smiled when he saw me.
"My my what brings you here clove? "
"we are fundraising for new uniforms for the cheerleading team and I was wondering if you would like to donate." I mumbled.
"What do these new uniforms look like?" he asked smirking and I held up the picture. He smiled in a sickening way. He then handed me $100 dollars and smirked
"Can't wait to see you in it" he whispered I shivered and mumbled a thank you then quickly went back to my room.
"Do you think coach will pay the last $950?" Chloe asked.
"I don't know lets go ask" we headed down to coach Portia's office and after showing her the money and explaining the amount we were still missing coach agreed to pay the rest. Afterwards we ran down to the ground floor of the dorms building and high jacked the P.A system
"Listen up losers in honor of the cheer squad raising the money for the cheer uniforms there will be a party in the common area today in like an hour Johanna you know what you need to bring."we heard squeals of delight even though there were no dorms on this floor me and Chloe ran up the stairs to our room and got changed from our cheer uniforms. I ended up in a black dress with sparkles around the bottom and a belt around the waist. The dress was strapless and hugged my curves nicely but still poofed out a bit at my waist. Chloe wore a peach colored dress that looked exactly like mine. We then let out ponytails down so out curls flowed over our shoulders. We redid our makeup and hurriedly ran up to the common area with sound system and snacks in tow.
