I'm sorry for the shitty last chapter I just needed something to lead into this chapter anyways I don't own the hunger games and sorry for the wait on the chapter
Clove's pov
Once everything was set up people started filing in, the music was blaring and soon there were so many people in the common area that it was very hard to see through the people. I was currently trying to stand on my tip toes looking for Cato but being as short as I am I couldn't see a thing. After a few more minutes I sighed in defeat and lowered myself back down so I was flat footed. Or well as flat footed as you can get in heels. It was then that a felt a large and strong arm encircle my waist. I stiffened for a second but then relaxed when I heard Cato's voice say,
"Hey beautiful" I smiled and turned around to face him. I looked him up and down. He was wearing blue jeans and a button down black shirt, he was also carrying a red cup which I promptly took and took a sip.
"Hey yourself" I replied once I swallowed. Cato then took his drink back and took a sip himself. I pretended to pout and he sighed handing the cup back to me and muttering that he was going to get one for himself. He then walked off and I resumed people watching. It wasn't long before an arm snaked around my waist again. I smiled leaning back into his chest.
"That was fast" I mumbled happily. When he didn't reply I turned myself around to look at him and gasped. The arm around me did not belong to Cato at all. The arm belonged to Brutus who was smiling sickeningly down at me. I tried to pull away but the grip he had on me was too tight.
"Let go" I hissed at him. His only response was to grip me harder, to the point of pain. I knew I'd have finger print bruises on my side the next day.
"Hey clove I grabbed you one as well in case you…." Cato cut off his sentence seeing Brutus with his arm around me Cato threw the drinks to the floor angrily.
"Let her go!" He snarled his eyes turning black and so much anger in his voice I was sure even Brutus would be afraid. But Brutus didn't react he simply tightened his grip once again and I let out a slight whimper in pain.
"Listen this is how it's going to work. Me and Clover here are going to dance a bit, have a few drinks and then we are going to go back to my dorm and she's going to give me what she wouldn't give me when we were dating" Brutus said calmly and with and edge to his voice.
"Like hell she is!" Cato yelled stepping forward. And that's when the first punch was thrown. And luckily it was thrown by Cato.
Yes I know short chapter and cliff hangerish ending sorry the rest of the fight and the aftermath will be in the next chapter. 3 reviews for next chapter or it'll be up after exams since summatives start in 13 days and exams are after that. Anyways thanks for reading an please review!
