I know I know I know i haven't been on in FOREVER. school is crazy right now and with work and volunteering and stuff i don't have a lot of time on my hands and regrettably there probably wont be another chapter till march break at the absolute earliest and i'm really sorry about that. Also i'm sorry to people that reviewed i totally didn't get the notifications my computer has decided to not tell me every time someone reviews so sorry about that.

As always i do not own the hunger games or anything and lots of stuff is probably inspired by other stories i've read so just to be safe lets go with i don't own anything at all.

Clove's pov

I wake up to the sound of my alarm. It's finally the day we have all been waiting for with baited breath. Fight day. Or at least the first day of fights. I was lucky and my fight fell on the first day, so did Johanna and gale's fights. Unfortunately for Cato his fight didn't fall until the third day so he has to wait and watch everyone else's fights. I smile and spring out of bed. I slip on a sports bra and my athletic shorts then slip on my runners and pull my hair into a tight high pony tail. I proceed to do 50 push ups then go for a jog around the outside of the building to get ready for my fight. When I reach my floor again I go to the kitchen and grab and apple and a protein shake then head back to my room. Upon entering my room I realise that Cato is now sitting on my bed flipping through one of my magazines seemingly waiting for me.

"Hey" I say casually. He looks up smiles at me then looks back down at the magazine.

"Hi, I don't know how you guys read these things they are pointless and boring as hell" he mumbles flipping through the pages.

"That's because they are meant for girls, not for girl's boyfriends who decide to read their things. What are you doing here anyways?" He finally puts down the magazine and gets up to come give me a hug which I gladly accept.

"I just came to wish you luck on your fight" I furrow my eyebrows at him.

"You are coming to watch though aren't you?"

"Of course I am! Do you really think that I'd miss watching you beat up glimmer?"

"Good because you can be my good luck charm, Annie usually is but she and Finnick are doing something or going somewhere I don't know I don't think Annie really knows either she's just happy that he asked and I can't just tell her I need her to come watch my fight that would be selfish." I ramble on.

"Is that your way of telling me you need me?" he asks raising his eyebrow in a mocking manner.

"What, no…I...I…." he cuts me off with a kiss then smiles.

"Relax Clove I was kidding, and besides, I would love to be your new good luck charm." I smile and reach up on my tippy toes to kiss him again. He then takes my hand and we walk together to the training center where the fights will take place. I'm surprised to find that when we reach there, it is already packed, I don't think anyone is missing these fights. Then again everyone in our school has always had a strange love of violence.

" I'm going to go find a seat, I love you, go kick her butt" Cao says leaning down to give me a kiss then proceeds off in the other direction to where I can see the only remaining seats are left. I slowly make my way over towards Johanna who is boxing the air in front of her getting pumped up for her fight.

"You ready?" I ask her.

"Oh hell ya! First fight of the day got to start this thing off with a bang. Enobaria is going down!" She exclaims.

"You bet she is, you better be facing me in the games Jo."

"Course I will I'm not losing this fight"

"Just watch out for her teeth, I hear she likes to bite." I laugh.

"I may not remember much of our last fight but if I could beat her then I'll beat her now"

"I know you will Jo. Good luck." I smile and with that Johanna and Enobaria are called to the ring. They both enter the ring. Then the whistle is blown. They both begin to circle each other glaring. Then Enobaria lunges forward and grabs Johanna's hair. But Johanna is quick to turn jabbing her elbow into Enobaria's stomach making her release. Jo then quickly jumps and turns kicking Enobaria in the stomach again with a lot of force sending Enobaria to the ground. But Enobaria isn't going out that fast and swipes Jo's feet out from under her from the floor. Jo goes tumbling to floor and Enobaria climbs on top of her proceeding to repeatedly punch her in the face. For a few second Johanna just takes it and I'm starting to wonder what's wrong but I quickly realise what she's doing. She's letting her think she's won. After a few hits Enobaria gets cocky thinking she has this won. But then Jo takes her by surprise and quickly flips them over pinning Enobaria to the ground she then grabs her head on both sides and repeatedly slams it into the floor with a great amount of force. When Enobaria is almost out Jo releases her head and gives one final right hook to the nose and Enobaria is out and Johanna is the one that gets to keep her chance of entering the games. The crowd cheers and Snow crowns Johanna. I stare at him for a second wondering why he had crowns made for the winners but then decide not to question it, this is principle snow after all.

I smile at Jo and congratulate her but then quickly turn my attention back to the ring as Gale and Blight enter. I finally got the full story on why they had been fighting at the arty in the first place and it wasn't even for the same reason as the rest of us, they actual got into a fight over Johanna and it just happened to be at the same time as the rest of our fights. I don't know if they settled their dispute at the party or if this is going to be another fight over her but Johanna hasn't been in love with blight in years and her and Gale's relationship is going strong. So I don't really think it matters who wins the fight because Johanna isn't going to change her mind. Their fight is short. And although Blight gets a few good shots in on Gale he's not able to block Gale's shots and after a few good (really hard) hits to the head from Gale blight is out. Johanna squeals and runs into the ring jumping on Gale to give him a hug and a kiss, only breaking away when Snow makes a disgruntled noise and tries to put the crown on Gales head. They then proceed to exit the wing wishing me luck as the go to take seats in the stands to watch.

I roll my shoulder, then my head, then my ankles then my wrists. I'm ready for this. Just as I'm about to enter the ring arms envelope me from behind as Cato leans his head on my shoulder.

"You've got this babe"

"I know" he smiles and kisses my cheek then shoots me a thumbs up as he heads back to his seat.

I enter the ring. Glimmer smirks at me and I smirk right back. The bell dings and we are off. Glimmer lunges at me and is side step making her run into the ropes, this seems to put her off as she angrily lunges at me again only to be met with the same fate. She screams in frustration and lunges again this time I side step and reach out my foot tripping her, she tumbles to the floor and I jump on her straddling her as I throw punch after punch at her pretty little face. Glimmer screams in anger and after about the 4th punch is finally able to flip us over we only stay like that long enough for her to hit me once before I throw her off making her land on the floor hitting her head with a thunk. I then kick her in the side repeatedly to weaken her more, then straddle her again. Then I take a move from Johanna's book and grab both sides of her face smashing her head into the floor repeatedly until she finally goes unconscious. I stand up smiling as Snow crowns me the winner and I run into Cato's arms.

"I knew you could do it" he whispers in my ear.

" I never doubted it" I whisper back "Now let's go get you ready for your fight" I say entwining our fingers.

"Or we could do something fun" he says

"Like what?"

"I don't know, maybe… go on a date?"
