A/N: I DID IT! I FINALLY DID IT! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *Backflips*
Just saying right now, this doesn't mean the hiatus is exactly over, it's just been a while and I figured you guys were getting impatient (Understatment of the year, right there). Plus, I haven't updated since what... October 2013, and it's now... December 2014 (Or Janurary 2015, depending on what part of the world you're in). Yeah, it's officially been over a year since the last update. WHAT IS THIS?! Well, long story short I got stuck writing Chapter 4 and for a while I lost motivation with this story completely. Especially since I started other fic projects. I'm back now though, so let's do this.
Review Replies:
DarkX: Aye. Their sacrifice shall never be forgotten... until about five minutes from now. Thanks for reviewing!
PopLilly4009: Yeah last chapter got crazy, but glad you liked it. Thanks for reviewing!
EpicGirl: Bioshock 2 would be an awesome game for them to play! I can already see Prescott questioning the logic and physics behind an underwater city, and since they'd be playing the sequel first and would have no idea about what's going on it'd be 2X the fun! XD Thanks for reviewing!
Leah: Yeesss! (And LOL I've had the idea of them playing FNAF for weeks now. XD ) Minecraft sounds like a fun idea too. Thanks for reviewing!
Jazzerella: Yeah Sims is pretty fun to play, and I can see my writing confusing those who haven't played these games. I'm gonna try to make things easier to understand for here on out. I'm also thinking of going back and rewritting some of the chapters (Mainly the first two). As for Minecraft, once I get the other requests out of the way they're so playing it! Thanks for reviewing!
Gracekim1: The game's called Slender. It was really popular a few years back. If you searched it on YouTube you'd find a lot of playthroughs. Ooh, Kingdom Hearts would be a fun game to play (It'd probably just be the first one, though. That's the only one I have.) Thanks for reviewing!
Sonar: Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for reviewing!
EpicSkyShine: Yes yesssss, but I should probably get the first FNAF out of the way before they play the sequel. XD Thanks for reviewing!
Pokemon122/Lollilou12/SB4God (You all said pretty much the same thing in your reviews, so I'm replying to you all at once): Here it is! Go nuts! And thanks for reviewing!
A/N: I think you've all waited long enough for this. Also if you've noticed the chapter title, you've noticed this isn't One Late Night. Weeelllll... we're still doing it... but at the moment I'm pretty obsessed with Five Nights At Freddy's (Plus, I've gotten tons of requests for it) ... so yeah. We're doing that instead. Sorry. :/
Lines from the game are in italics.
Five Nights at Freddy's
"I'm so pumped for this! How 'bout you?" Telly asked as she bounced slighty in her usual spot next to Prescott.
"I'm only playing this because you keep pestering me to," the Gremlin muttered. Said game was a recent one that had quickly become extremely popular, though Prescott couldn't understand why. The concept sounded completely ridiculous to him. He didn't actually know too much about it besides the basic premise of it being that the character you played as was a new nighttime security guard at a family-friendly restaurant and something about animatronics mascots.
"Quit the moping," the phone replied, "I've heard this game's terrifying, so we have to play it. Besides, it'll be fun!""
"Oh yes, because I always have fun around you," Prescott responded, making sure his sarcasm was clear as he clicked the 'New Game' option in the main menu.
"So, this is it?" Prescott asked as he moved the cursor to look around the small security office on the screen.
"Pretty much," Telly answered, "Now hush up! The phone guy's talkin'."
She was refering to the pre-recorded messages on the office's phone left by the previous security guard which basically served as the game's tutorial. Right now, he was talking about how the resturants animatronic characters tended to wander the place at night in some kind of free roaming mode.
"Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day too," The phone guy explained, "But then there was The Bite of '87. Yeah. I-It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know?"
"How was this place not shut down after something like that?" Prescott questioned, "Or not sued at least?"
"...These characters, if they happen to see you after hours probably won't recognize you as a person," Phone Guy continued, "They'll most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without its coustume on. Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to... forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit."
"That doesn't sound so bad," Telly shrugged.
"Um, now that wouldn't be so bad if the costumes themshelves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices especially around the facial area. So, you can imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort... and death."
"Oh, is that all?" Prescott asked sarcastically, "Have you noticed how calm he sounds about this? I don't trust him."
"You don't trust anyone," Telly pointed out.
"Well, I especially don't trust him," Prescott answered as he went to the security camera to check on the animatronics, "Alright. We have a duck, a rabbit, and a bear... why? What do those animals even have in common? It makes no sense!"
"If you're gonna question the logic, we'll be here all day," Telly said flatly.
"Where's the rabbit?!"
The pair had so far made it to 3 AM without anything of particular intrest happening. Until a few minutes ago when Prescott checked on the robots again and discovered the rabbit one, whose name was actually Bonnie, had left the show stage.
"Would ya quit switchin' around all the camaras like that? You're wasting the power!" Telly protested, pointing to the power meter in the lower left corner of the screen that was down to 45%
"I apologize for wanting to live! Now where is it?" Prescott snapped, looking at the camera for the west hallway. It was there, he finally found Bonnie. The animatronic was... well, doing nothing really.
"Abou damn time," the Gremlin grumbled.
"... He's just standing there," Telly observed, "...MENACINGLY!"
"... That was terrible," Prescott said, giving her an annoyed glare as he went back to checking the cameras, "Honestly, if you're going to be making pop culture references, then- WHERE'S THE DUCK?!"
Sure enough, another one of the animatronics (This one was named Chica) had wandered off.
"I'm pretty sure she's actually a chicken," Telly mused, "Where is she, anyway?"
"Give me a second," Prescott responded, flipping over to the dining area camera, "There it is. Alright, the dining area is far away from us, and Freddy's still onstage, so the only one we have to worry about is the rabbit."
A split second later the cameras temporarily went out. When they came back on Chica was gone. A quick glance at the west hall showed Bonnie was gone too.
"Where'd they go?!" Prescott panicked, flipping frantically through all the cameras. He relaxed slighty when he found by the restroom, but he still didn't know where Bonnie had went.
"Try checking the door lights," Telly suggested. Hesitantly, Prescott exited the camera view and moved the cursor over to the button labled 'Light' and clicked it. The pair shrieked in surprise and fright when Bonnie's face appeared in the doorway.
"CLOSEITCLOSEITCLOSEITCLOSEIT!" Telly screeched as Prescott practically spammed the button to shut the door.
"We're fine! The door's closed!" The Gremlin yelled over her. Checking the lights, he could see Bonnie was still outside the door. Well, it was still 3 AM and they had about 38% power. So long as Bonnie left soon the pair had a decent chance of surviving the night.
A short while later...
"Is he still there?" Telly asked. Checking the light, the pair saw Bonnie was still standing outside the door.
"Just go away already!" Prescott snapped at the purple animatronic, glaring at the screen. By now, he was more ticked off than scared, "No one loves you!"
"That's a bit harsh," Telly pointed out.
"Well it's true!" Prescott answered, "We're probably going to die because of that thing!"
By this point, they were down to 16% power and it was only 4 AM (Of course, that was mostly Prescott's fault for insisting to keep checking the camaras). Checking the light again, the pair breathed a sigh of relief when they realized Bonnie had finally left.
"Aw, look at that. You hurt his feelings," Telly joked.
"So what? Now that that's over, maybe we can actually- GAHHH!" Prescott shrieked when he checked the light for the other door and saw Chica standing outside it. He immediaetly shut the door.
"OH, COME ON!" He yelled.
"This is why you don't hurt Bonnie's feelings," Telly said.
"- Interestingly enough, Freddy himself doesn't come off stage very often. I heard he becomes a lot more active in the dark though, so, hey I guess that's one more reason not to run out of power, right?"
"Ya think?" Telly asked sarcastically as Phone Guy went on. The pair had had barely made it to night 2 with only 4% power left.
"I-I also want to emphasize the importance of using your door lights. There are blind spots in your camera views, and those blind spots happen to be right outside your doors."
"Alright, that's it!" Prescott suddenly snapped, "First of all, who in the name of Dahl built this place! And who built the robots anyway?!"
"The Mad Doctor," Telly answered, "He'd totally do that. At least if he was still evil."
"And another thing," Prescott continued, ignoring the phone, "Why does our character insist on coming back? Do they have some sort of death wish, or are they that desperate for money? They're only getting $120 per week! I get paid more working at the gag factory, and I'm paid in bloody E-Tickets!"
"You hafta wonder why someone needs the money that badly in the first place," Telly said, "By the way, shouldn't you be checking the robots?"
A quick check of the camera revealed Bonnie was already gone.
"How's it already gone?! It's still 12 AM!" Prescott said, then shriked like a widget when he flipped to the backstage camera and saw Bonnie staring at the camera with black eyes and pinprick sized, white pupils.
"No thank you!" he shouted, exiting out of the camera. Telly, meanwhile, couldn't help burst laughing at his reaction.
"It kinda looks like he's taking a selfie!" she said between laughs.
"Chica's gone! I can't find it! Where is it?!"
"Check the restrooms."
"I was just there two seconds ago! It's not there!" Prescott tensed flipped nervously through the cameras, trying to find the elusive chicken.
"Ya know, I would've thought you'd be the last Toon to be freaked out by this game," Telly said as the Gremlin next to her went into a panic over not being about to find Chica, "I mean, you've built animatronics before and all that, so stuff like this shouldn't be that scary to you."
"Yes, well, at least with Abe I don't need to worry about him violently stuffing me into a- uhhhhh... what... is... that?" Prescott stared at the camera for an area called Pirate's Cove as what looked like a robot fox peered out of the curtains.
"That's Foxy," Telly explained, "He's the fourth one. Of course, if you had listened to the phone guy, you'd already know that."
"It was hard enough with the rabbit and duck, now I have to worry about this thing?"
"Well, I don't really know a lot about him. Maybe he's just there for spooks?" Telly shrugged.
"I thought you were the expert on this game?" Prescott asked as he exited out of the cameras and checked the door lights. He jumped a second later when Chica appeared in the small window next to the right door. He immediaetly clicked the button to slam the door shut.
Nothing happened.
"Nononononononono NOOO! WHY'S THE STUPID DOOR NOT WORKING?!" the Gremlin yelled, his eyes wide. He quickly shut the left door then went back to repeatedly spamming the right door button, "What are we supposed to do now?"
"We could try to hold out until 6 AM?" Telly suggested. Then again, it was currently 2 AM, so that probably wouldn't work.
Prescott went back to the cameras. A few seconds later the pair heard a noise that sounded like someone groaning. Before someone had a chance to react to it, Chica popped up from nowhere and screamed loudly. Both Prescott and Telly let out high-pitched shrieks at this, with the Gremlin nearly falling out of the chair, and the phone jumping a foot in the air.
"...We found Chica," she mumbled as the 'Game Over' screen came on.
Prescott froze as he stared at the show stage camera. "Freddy's out."
"Hm?" Telly, who had zoned out, asked.
"Freddy's gone! We have to shut everything down!" Prescott panicked as he slammed both the doors closed. It didn't help that a few moments later the words 'It's me' paired with creepy imagery of Freddy and Bonnie (Who was missing his eyes) flashed across the screen.
"Okay. Game, Prescott, the both of you need to calm the Hell down," Telly replied, "Are you gonna open the doors?"
"No..." Prescott whimpered, "Can we just finish this night so I never have to play this again?"
"It's night 3! We're pretty much halfway there!" Telly responded, "Besides, keep the doors closed and we'll run out of power. Then Freddy'll get us for sure."
As Prescott gulped, opened the doors, and returned to checking the cameras, Telly suddenly asked, "Can you imagine of they moved jnstead of bein' static frames. Now that'd by freaky."
"Ugh, I'd rather not think of-," Prescott was cut off when he switched to the west hall cam and saw Foxy running down the hallway. "OH CRAP!"
The Gremlin immediaetly tried to shut the left door, only to have the robot enter the room and scream at them (Scaring the duo half to death in the process).
"Alright... so maybe he's not just there for spooks," Telly said as she tried to relax.
"Uh, hey, listen. I may not be around to send you a message tomorrow," as Phone Guy said that last part, something in the background banged on a door,"It's-It's been bad night here for me. Uh, I-I'm kinda glad I recorded my messages for you... uh, when I did."
"Uh, hey, do me a favor," More banging, "Maybe sometime, uh, you could check inside those suits in the back room?" Even more banging. "I'm gonna try to hold out until somone checks. Maybe it won't be so bad." There were a few more bangs.
"Uh, I-I-I-I always wondered what was in all those empty heads back there." Suddenly, Freddy's music box song began chiming.
"You know..." Phone Guy never got to finish as a noise that sounded like someone groaning was heard, "Oh, no-"
A second later there was a loud, animatronic sccreech and the call cut to static and ended.
Prescott and Telly sat in silence for a few seconds.
"...We're screwed," was all Prescott said.
"Yes Freddy, I can hear you. Shut up!" Prescott spoke up as Freddy's deep laugh (which signified he was on the move) was heard, "We all have problems! You're nothing special!"
"It's 5 AM, we might beat it!" Telly said excitedly. They had finally reached night 5, and were close to finishing the game. It had taken several hours, and countless deaths, but they finally had a chance at making it.
"Doubtful. We're down to 5% power," Prescott replied.
"We can do it! Turn turn turn turn turn turn to 6 already!" Telly shouted desperately as the power drained.
"3% power!" Prescott shouted in reply, checking the door lights and shutting the door when Bonnie appeared in the doorway, "Oh, chatter off, rabbit!"
2%... 1%...0%
Suddenly, the lights went out.
"We're right there! C'mon game!" Telly begged. Moments later, Freddy appeared in the left doorway playing his music box song. Even Prescott was getting antsy.
And then, it happened.
The screen cut to black, showing a giant '5 AM' turning to '6 AM' as children cheered in the background. The pair celebrated by jumping up and cheering. They even went as far as to hug each other (Before Prescott roughly shoved Telly off seconds later). They both felt pretty great in that moment.
...Until they were brought back to the title screen and saw a new option called 'Night 6.'
"..."
"..."
"..."
"...NOPE!" Prescott exclaimed before exiting the game.
A/N: Sorry again for how long this took to update. My creative juices for this story ran dry after chapter three, and even now I'm still trying to get back into it. I really hope this was worth the wait.
Anyway, remember that little list thing at the end of chapter three with all the games I had planned out for them to play? Ignore that completely. If you've made a request, I'll try and get to it eventually, but for now I'm just gonna do my own thing with this story to try and get back into writing it.
If I'm honest, I have no idea when I'll update this again but it probably won't be for a while because I've been neglecting my other stories for long enough. Anyway, whenever I do get around to it next chapter will be Five Nights At Freddy's 2 (Since I know people are gonna start asking for it).
'Til then, and happy New Years! *Throws Prescott plushies at readers*
