I don't know about this one, or where it came from. Maybe I just wanted some KibaEri cuteness.

They were watching some raunchy romantic-comedy that had popped up on the TV when, as she watched the two characters trying to deal with their feelings for each other while simultaneously ignoring them, Eri thought of something.

"Hey, Kiba."

"Hmm?"

"Who was your first crush?" He just glanced at her before looking back at the television, acting like he had no reason to answer her. Huffing, she lifted her foot from where she had draped her legs over his lap and nudged his cheek with her toe.

"Hey! Get your foot out of my face!" He said, trying to swat it away. But she was persistent, poking him until finally, on a gruff growl, he shouted, "Hinata!"

She blinked at him a moment as her lips twitched up into a smile, a little disbelieving.

"Do you mean the Hokage's wife, Hinata?" She asked, thinking of the sweet and polite woman who sometimes came into the office to take her husband to lunch or spend an hour with him, her three girls in tow. He nodded, blushing slightly as he glared at her when she muffled a laugh.

"Yeah, I mean, all the other girls in school were just whiny and all wrapped up in the Uchiha, and then when we got paired up into out team and..." He rolled his eyes, having no idea why she was making him say this. "She was just adorable back then. Like a little meek bunny that you just wanted to wrap up in a blanket and protect. But it's always been about Naruto for her, and she never really noticed, so I got over it."

"A bunny?" She laughed and he glared, pushing her legs off of his lap.

"Shut up."

Eri chuckled and grinned at him, thinking that in some ways he was the adorable one. But she would never say so, it would only lead to him insisting that he was manly, not adorable, and she'd never hear the end of it. So instead of saying it she just put her legs right back on his lap and leaned back on the arm of the sofa, thinking.

"I think mine was one of the gardeners that worked for our clan. He always took care of the roses, and one time when I crawled behind the bushes to hide he found me, picked me up, bandaged my cuts, and gave me a piece of caramel so I'd stop crying." She smiled. "I'd never had caramel before."

"How old were you?" He asked, resigning himself to the fact that her legs weren't moving, though as long as she didn't touch his face with her feet again it would be alright.

"Oh... Five. I thought he'd make a nice dad." Seeing the look he gave her she rolled her eyes. "He was in his sixties."

After the sputtering died down, she kicked him lightly in the side. "There weren't very many male influences in my life until I reached that point in my training, so my crushes were limited to him and a few of the younger boys I'd catch a rare glance of through the fence separating the two teaching centers we had for the boys and the girls, and what I saw was usually just the very tops of heads, and it just didn't really do much for me." She told him with a slight smile. Then she laughed.

"What?" Kiba asked after she had calmed down a bit.

"Well," She said, still chuckling lightly, "I was just thinking that when we were children we fell for bunnies and old men."

After thinking about it for a moment, Kiba grinned at her, a wicked glint in his eyes.

"Yeah, and now we go for incredibly sexy and irresistible." He said, stretching his arms over the back of the couch as he gave her an over the top eyebrow wiggle.

Eri could only laugh until tears prickled her eyes, starting again every time she looked back again until finally she just had to shove his face away.

I've always had it in my mind that Kiba maybe had a little crush on Hinata when they were little.

Um... Nothing else to say, really, other than that I just over-baked my cookies. That was pretty sad, but I've always been bad with cookies.

My brother is bad mouthing them and me though, so I have to go beat him up now.

Bye-bye!
