Hello again my darlings! If you follow me, not just this story but the always incredible and astounding me, you will have noticed that I seem to be in a particular mood. A particularly Fanficy mood. One in which I have written much, and have been continuing to write despite my Accounting Homework glaring at me. So, since I've written all those new things, I got to feeling bad and decided to come and give ya'll this little thing.

Alrighty this was requested by Rohain Tahquil (Yes, I still have that lovely bulleted list of the requests you all have given me. I've just been a bit of a shit and haven't really felt like doing them. Please continue to give me requests because I might get inspired and pop it right out, or you might have to wait many eons as this darling right here had to) who said:

"How they [the whole group, but we'll just say Tenten and Neji for this one] react to Eri and Misaki being introduced"

So here we go!

"Sooo… Are you going to knock any time soon?"

"I've been waiting for you to knock."

"Pull on your big girl panties and knock on the damn door, Neji. Whatever is behind here can't be that bad. We've gone through war, and nothing can be worse than that."

And yet, the two fully grown adults who were both highly trained ninjas couldn't quite make themselves knock on the surprisingly intimidating door.

"Neji," Tenten started after a lengthy pause, "What's going to be waiting for us in there?"

"I'm… not really sure."

"I mean, we've met her, sure. But that was when we were rescuing her from captivity and she seemed nice but… They moved in after just a few weeks. That's not exactly normal."

"Well, Lee has always been very quick to act and very… zealous about certain things. Love, if you'd remember Sakura and how he was about her when we were children, is certainly one of those things."

They stand there a bit longer just watching the door as if it and whatever it hid from them would attack at any given moment.

"What kind of person do you think she'll be?" Tenten asks quietly, and Neji just shoots her a look that shows he is just as lost as her.

"There's really only one way to know." He says and she nods, determined.

"You know the plan? Anything goes south, we say we need to get Rin from Hinata before it gets too late."

"Yes."

Tenten sighs. "Man, kids make for the best excuses." She mutters mostly to herself, raising her hand and finally knocking, smoothing out her expression into a friendlier one since meeting one of your best friend's live-in girlfriend was supposed to be a happy occasion.

The door opens to reveal their always chipper friend and teammate, grinning his always bright and astonishingly white smile.

"My beloved friends! Come in!" He cries exuberantly, ushering them inside of the cozy apartment, a surprise since they had been living there for such a small amount of time.

"Is that them?" They hear a voice call from the kitchen, and at the sound of it Lee's smile got impossibly brighter.

"Yes, my most darling and beloved blossom!" Lee calls as he ushers his teammates into the kitchen where they are met by yet another bright and nearly blinding smile. "These are my teammates Neji and Tenten, whom you met back when we were held captive."

"Oh yes, I remember! Thank you for saving me, by the way. Such a nice thing for you to do." Misaki says happily, reaching out and giving each of their hands a nice shake and restraining herself from giving them hugs. It was too soon for hugs. Right now all she could do was impress and astound them, and friendship would come later.

"Kind of our job, but you're welcome." Tenten tells her, a bit of a smirk playing at her mouth at just how flustered the woman was.

"Right. Well, I'm just finishing up on what we're having for dinner! I found all of these cookbooks for sale at the market and I just couldn't pass them up! So much delicious food to try, I just can't wait!" She exclaims happily and Lee clasps her hands, beaming at her with absolute adoration in her eyes.

"I can't wait either, my darling! The food you make with love will always be the greatest in all of the lands!"

"Oh, Lee." She sighs, and they stare lovingly into each other's eyes for a few to many moments, making Neji fidget uncomfortably and turn his eyes away to a blank spot on the wall.

"How long have you been cooking, Misaki?!" Tenten asks loudly to break the moment and to save her husband and herself from the uncomfortable situation.

"Oh, practically nonstop since Tuesday. I just have to keep trying things, and I'm getting a lot better the more I do, so I think I'm doing quite well." She happily tells them once she turns away from lee, and Tenten's not quite sure she heard her right.

"You didn't start cooking until Tuesday? The Tuesday that was three days ago?" She asks, just to be sure.

"Yep! It's so much fun, I really have no idea why I wasn't allowed to start until now." The girl says airily, and Tenten bites her tongue to keep from saying that it might have something to do with her being extremely rich and practically royalty, and she'd probably had chefs making her food for her since before she could put two thoughts together in that pretty little head of hers so there was no need. She also restrains herself from asking if they should call for takeout since she wasn't sure three days of cooking experience was enough to warrant a decent meal. After all, there were instructions, so no matter what it couldn't be all that bad.

She hopes.

"That's great." Is what she says instead of the many other things that popped into her head but could only end badly, and they move into the living room to sit and talk and wait for the food to get done.

This part goes rather well with them telling Misaki stories of a few missions and training that should have embarrassed Lee at least a little bit, but instead just made him laugh uproariously. They were in the middle of a story involving Lee, an eggplant, two ducks, and a hen, when Neji sniffed the air.

"Is something burning?" He asks, and Misaki is immediately leaping up into action and racing into the kitchen.

"Oh," She moans sadly as she pulled the pan of blackened meat out of the oven, "I can't believe I forgot to set the timer. It's ruined." She sat it on the counter and visibly slumped, standing dejectedly over the remains of their dinner.

"No it's not." Lee tells her as he walks up to her, putting his hands on her shoulders and giving her a motivating and toothy smile. "I'm sure it tastes great, because you worked so hard and put so much work into it. Something you cared about so much could never be bad."

"Lee," Misaki sighs, and the two once again stare dreamily into each other's eyes. They break apart from each other themselves this time, though it still takes and extremely long time, and Lee turns to beam at his two slightly uncomfortable friends.

"Let's eat!" He exclaims, ushering the couple to the table as they eye their dubious meal and fake smiles for their now once more excited and beaming hostess.

Once they leave, they don't talk until they're a couple of streets away.

"Let's never go over for dinner there again." Neji says finally, queasy and a little unsteady on his feet.

"Yeah," Tenten sighs, turning out her pockets and letting the blackened food fall to the ground. "I'm going to have to wash this dress like fifty times before it gets clean." She looks up and sees that Neji is looking at her with wide, shocked eyes, and she stops to take in just how bad he looks and the fact that he is not depositing the "eaten" remains of his dinner as well.

"Neji, did you actually eat that food?"

"Yes. I… didn't want to be rude."

"Neji," Tenten starts, unsure if she wants to laugh at him or… laugh at him in a bit less of a rude way, "We're ninja. We have been trained with ninja skills that we use to be ninjas."

"I know, Tenten-" He starts, but she cuts him off.

"We have literally been taught how to get out of situations like that without eating any of the food. Like, we at least went over it twice, maybe three times in school."

"Tenten-"

"And yet, despite this training, you still ate that… Whatever was served to us back there?"

"I… I forgot." He muttered after a few long moments of silence, hunching his shoulders defensively when Tenten started to laugh so loud and hard that she had to bend over a bit, clutching her stomach.

"How… How are you even serious, Neji?" She asks, wiping at a few tears that had escaped, "I mean, you're supposed to be this amazing ninja who can like, defeat a thousand enemies or whatever shit the kids are saying these days, and yet you can't even remember to do something that children use to try and get out of eating their vegetables." She snorts, and Neji visibly pouts.

"Ah, oh well." She chuckles after a bit of his sulking silence, "At least you've learned. I think we've all learned something today, actually."

"I have no idea why I like you." He grumbles, and she grins at him.

"It's because you love me so much." She tells him as she loops her arm through his, "Now, let's go pick up the kid and go home to get you some medicine for the mean stomach ache that's about to kill you." She tells him. They've been walking for only the smallest while before Tenten snorts again, obviously thinking over her husband's absentmindedness again. "You're just such a loser." She chuckles, and Neji glares.

"Shut up."

"Nice one, babe. I'm so proud of you and your undeniable wit."
