In the previous chapter…

Right" Rose held his hand, "let's go!"

"Congratulations on breaking my son's nose again, Rose" Draco smirked as the pair appeared in front of the fireplace in the Malfoy's living room.

"Can you fix it later?" Scorpius asked.

"I'm gonna fix it now. You're mother's just gone upstairs to find your presents so I'll fix it before she comes back and sees it" Draco grinned. "Hold still" he said, pointing his wand at Scorpius' face.

Moments later, Scorpius' nose was again fixed and he and Rose were sat down on one of the sofas facing Draco, talking.

"So, what's Christmas like with your family, Rose?"

"Loud and busy. We have to be up by 9 and there are so many people that the Burrow's always crowded. We have a family chess tournament after opening gifts which everyone must take part in, and then we're allowed free time until dinner at 7" Rose explained.

"So Scorp had to play chess against your family members?"

"Yes. The loser of each game gets eliminated, and then the winners' names go back in the hat to be drawn again. It takes about 3 hours, and there are about 4 rounds, but it's good fun."

"Who did you have to face then, Scorp, and how many rounds did you last?" Draco smirked.

"Ummmm first round, Harry Potter, second round , George Weasley, third round, Rose and in the final, Ron Weasley" Scorp said, thinking of each game in turn.

"You beat Harry Potter at chess?"

"It's quite easy to beat Uncle Harry, he's not the best at chess. Plus, if he doesn't get dad in the first round, he always tries not to win as he doesn't like playing dad. He rubs it in for weeks if he beats him." Rose explained.

"So you were in the final against Ron Weasley? How badly did he wipe the floor with you?"

"We drew, actually. Apparently I messed up his 25th win or something" Scorpius grinned. He, Rose and Draco all looked up as Astoria entered the room, a pile of gifts levitating behind her.

"I was going to send them to Hogwarts, but luckily you flooed us to tell us you were coming here before I did" she smiled, setting the brightly wrapped presents on the coffee table in the middle of the room. "The ones with the silver ribbon are yours, Scorpius, and the gold ribbons are for Rose" she beamed, indicating to the gifts. "Go ahead."

The couple both reached forward and grabbed two parcels that were identical in shape and size, and opened them to reveal two brand new books, a rare charms book for Rose and an even rarer Transfiguration book for Scorpius.

The next gift Rose unwrapped was a slim silver anklet with a small silver owl charm hanging from the delicate silver chain. She immediately fastened it around her ankle before thanking Astoria. Scorpius' next gift was an old Wizarding Chess Set.

"That's a gift from your Grandmother" Draco said. "It's been passed through her family for generations."

A pile of presents later, Rose looked up at the clock and suddenly exclaimed "Oh! I'm so sorry, Draco, Astoria, but we have to be going as we're expected back soon."

Scorpius looked at the clock in confusion. Rose had said they were not expected until 6.30, yet it was now only nearing 4.30. He looked at Rose curiously, but then spotted something in her eyes. What was she up to?

The pair said their goodbyes, thanks yous for gifts and promises to meet again soon, before Rose took Scorpius' hand and apparated them away.

They landed on a bed, Scorpius landing on top of Rose.

"Oops, sorry hun" he said, moving to get off of her. But he was stopped by Rose grabbing his trouser waistband and pulling him down so that he lay flat on top of her, before she connected her lips to his.

"I forgot to give you your Christmas present" she whispered between kisses. "But I needed to give it to you in private, so had to drag you away from your parents"

"If my present is what I think it is" Scorpius gasped for air "then I'm quite glad that you're giving it to me away from my parents" he grinned as he saw a familiar glint in Rose's eyes.

"It's not what you think it is" Rose said.

"Surprise me"

"Alright then. Get off" Rose laughed as she pushed him off of her. "I'll go and get it"

Scorpius stared dumbfounded as Rose danced out of the room. Go and get it? Definitely not what he was expecting. He cocked his head to one side as Rose skipped in holding an envelope.

"Open it" Rose grinned excitedly, practically throwing the parchment envelope at him.

Carefully, Scorpius opened it, curious as to what his present could be. His jaw dropped as he broke the seal. The envelope transformed into a pair of doves carrying two bundles of parchment between them. The birds dropped the contents in his lap before flying out of the window.

"I heard that you wanted to go travelling" Rose said as he flipped the two little red books in his lap over. The word PASSPORT was printed on the front, and wedged between two pages near the back was another bit of paper sticking out the top. He flicked to this page in one red book to see a picture of his face, plus his details. Then he looked at the piece of paper stuffed inside.

"I planned us an Around the World trip" Rose smiled as Scorpius looked in wonder at the muggle plane ticket on his lap. "The tickets have no set date, so we can use them whenever, and we can use them to get one 6 flights, so we can visit quite a few countries. Plus you can go muggle style, which your Dad said was another thing you wanted to try" she grinned.

"I love you Rose Weasley" Scorpius smiled, his grin stretching from ear to ear. "When can we go?"

"Any time that we want, but I guess we could go after graduation. Uncle Harry also said not to worry about accommodation. He's said that as long as we decide where we're going, he'll organise it for us as my graduation treat" Rose explained.

"You and your family are wonderful, Rosie" Scorpius said as he leaned to kiss her. "Can I please just ask one thing though? What's this passport thing" he asked, waving the little red book in front of him.

"Why don't we go and sit in the lounge and I can explain everything, plus we can start to decide where we would like to go" Rose smiled. "But I'm glad that you like it"

"Like it? I love it Rose. I couldn't have asked for a better present." Scorpius smiled before taking Rose's hand and leading her through the door towards the lounge.
