"Like it? I love it Rosie. I couldn't have asked for a better present" Scorpius smiled before taking Rose's hand and leading her through the door towards the lounge.
After a while of holiday planning, Rose and Scorpius flooed back to the Burrow. As soon as they arrived, they were greeted by Harry.
"Rosie, I think the girls wanted to talk to you" he said, pointing a thumb at the staircase. "They vanished about half an hour ago so i'm assuming they started their gossipping without you" he grinned. Rose rolled her eyes and let go of Scorpius' hand to sprint up the stairs.
"What's all that about?" Scorpius asked as he watched his girlfriend abandon him with her family.
"Oh, the girls have a massive gossip session every time they're all together to talk about the bitches and boys in their lives" Al contributed as he joined them. "Strictly girls only, and they can whine to each other for hours, which gives the guys plenty of time to have our equivalent" he grinned. Scorpius immediately worried.
"Well, Scorpius can join you in a minute in the Shed" Harry said, putting a hand on Scorpius' shoulder to stop him folowing Al. "I need to talk to him quickly"
"Dad!" Al groaned, but didn't move.
"Alone, Al" Harry's voice hardened slightly. Al moved away.
"I'm sorry if this puts a downer on your Christmas, but we need to talk for a minute about McLaggen's boy" Harry said quietly, leading Scorpius to a quieter room around the back of the house. "His parents have once again demanded a court case, but the Minister denied their request as we have enough witnesses to just lock him up. But we need witness statements to show him" Harry said. "We'd like one from you, your parents, and if possible another over 17 who attended the Ball last night" he explained.
"Oh" Scorpius replied, "well, you can definitely have statements from me and my parents, but the other one will take a few days as I'll have to look at the guest list again and find someone who isn't a current student or anyone connecting to me, Rose or McLaggen" Scorpius thought aloud.
"Perfect" Harry grinned. "Come with me, I'll show you to the Shed"
The Shed down the bottom of the garden looked like the most run down shack in existence. Any paint and varnish had peeled years ago, and the wooden boards where half gone. The door hung on one hinge and had duct tape holding the destroyed -would-have-been window together.
"In you go then" Harry gave him a small push so he went through the door.
The Shed's exterior was a well-thought cover.
The inside was the size of the slytherin common room. a small fireplace was glowing in the corner, and on the wall above it was a functioning muggle flat screen tv. The boys were sat in a semi-circle around the fireplace on giant beanbags and were making their way through a healthy supply of confectionary from a self-refilling bowl sat in the centre of their gathering. Scorpius quickly came and sat down next to Al on a bean bag tht must have been saved for him.
"Welcome to the Shed, Scorp" he grinned, passing him the bowl of sweets. Scorpius took one then turned to his friend.
"How?"
"Lots of charms. Rose's work mostly" Al grinned. "The girls did a similar thing with one of the rooms upstairs" he explained. "The idea is that the boys and girls both get a Burrow common room to use when they're here. It turned very quickly into the girls having a mandatory bitch session about their lives and the boys stuffing their faces with sweets and watching football"
"You know what football is, right?" Hugo asked.
"Yeah, muggles are obsessed with it so muggle studies covered it" Scorpius smiled, "but i've never seen a game"
"It's not quite as good as quidditch, but it is very easy to obsess over" Louis said, summoning a remote from the mantlepiece. "We managed to charm it to show us the Premier League in order" he grinned as Liverpool verses Bournemouth started playing on the screen. "We then keep a league chart on the board over there" he pointed to a balckboard covered in boxes on the wall by the door.
"Sounds like you have everything sorted" Scorpius grinned, getting himself comfy to watch the tv.
"Oh no. Tv later" Hugo flicked his wand at the TV to turn it off. Scorpius raised an eyebrow. "The girls aren't the only ones to gossip."
"So, first on the agenda; girlfriend material" Al stated.
"Well, I'm spoken for" Scorpius smirked.
"Good wording, Mr Malfoy, otherwise you may have found your balls scattered in multiple places around the garden" Al grinned. "Hugo, anyone caught your eye?"
"Well, there's this girl in my Potions" he shrugged, "she's pretty and she's funny but she's taken"
"ouch" all the boys moaned on his behalf.
"Which girl is this?"
"Sarah Hooper" Hugo said. "She's about this tall" he stood up and held his hand to just above shoulder height, "wavy dark brown hair, brown eyes"
"Oh, i think I know who you mean. Isn't that Marc Shout's girlfriend?"
"Yeah" Hugo frowned. "But she always complains about him and they don't sound massively stable"
"I heard they were on really rocky terms since she got partnered up for prefect duties after the half term. Didn't he acuse her of cheating on him with the guy?"
"Yeah, she got partered up with me" Hugo grinned. "and before you ask, that rumour wasn't true..."
"But you wish it was in a way" Al laughed. "All in favour to snoop into Sarah Hooper's relationship and dig up some dirt on Shout to help her see Hugo's better?"
Al, Louis, Teddy, Fred, James and Hugo raised their looked on bewildered.
"Hugh, you can't vote for your own cause" James grinned. "Scorpius, you look very disturbed" he laughed.
"Just to clear this up, when Jess Straight and Gary Binsen split up three years ago, and you went out with her straight away afterwards" he asked James, "Was that the result of a Shed discussion?"
"Yeah" Fred answered for James. "We're a force to be wreckoned with, us Weasley Potters"
"Do the girls know about this?"
"Yeah, we collaborate plans as soon as the Shed/Upstairs discussions are over" Louis said. "We help them get some guys, they help us get some girls"
"We don't always succeed" Al added. "I mean, you and Rose sorted yourselves out on your own, you guys didn't need our imput" he smirked.
"What?!" Scorpius' eyes almost burst out of their sockets.
"Don't worry too much, she didn't talk about you" Hugo explained with a laugh. "Rose never has someone for us to help set her up with" he said. "But we all try and match make for the girls when we've finished talking about ourselves, and you've been number one pick for at least 3 years"
"4 years" James corrected. Scorpius just stared open-mouthed.
"So, anyone else want Wealseys to play God for them?" Al asked. No one answered. "Right, sorted! So, lets begin the match making for the girls" he grinned. "The only ones left at Hogwarts are Lils, Rox and Rose. Lils is single, Rox needs a new boyfriend and Rose seems to have achieved our prediction without our help, despite the motion to give them a shove in the right direction after our summer metting"
"Who does Rox need breaking up with?"
"Tony Paths, 6th year, quidditch captain Ravenclaw" Hugo said. "They share a potions class, so there's plenty of opportunity for that to go wrong"
"Hang on, is he the chaser with the boring brown hair and the squashed nose?" Fred asked.
"Yeah. They've been going out since July sometime but you can just see the sleaze dripping off him" Hugo frowned.
"Break them up" Fred almost ordered.
"Don't worry, we've been thinking it over for a while" Al said to calm his cousin. "We all know the arrogant shit is always one to go for a slutty girl at a party with alcohol, so we're thinking that Gryffindor could hold a party, invite him, and all we have to do is tell one of the 5th year hotties that he has a crush on them and boom, he can be caught cheating."
"Good plan" James nodded. "All in favour?" All the hands raised, including Scorpius.
"Ok, so now we need someone to set Rox up with" Fred said. "What's the situation with that friend of hers...Jack someone?"
"Jack Waters" Scorpius helpfully added. "From what I can see they're pretty close. He's single, don't think it'd take too much to get them together"
"But how?" Al asked. All of the boys took a second to think.
"Rogue mistletoe" Louis decided. "We all know that Rox likes some gossip, so what if there's a fight with a very well positioned broom cupboard nearby?"
"That'd be good" Hugo said. "We could place the enchanted mistletoe in the cupboard"
"What about the fight? Who do we use?" Al said.
"Well, Rox likes gossip about her family the most" Fred grinned at Scorpius. Then they all grinned at Scorpius.
"No, we can't" Scorpius put his hands up in surrender. "We're on final warning from McGonagall for the Howler incident" he said.
"Well, why not kill two birds with one stone?" James said. "Have the fight between Al and Roxy's soon-to-be ex and make sure she hears it?"
"Sounds like a plan. All in favour?" Al asked for a final time. All the hands raised again. "Right, i think that's enough for one day so..."
"What about Lily?" Scorpius asked.
"Yeah, we haven't talked about her" Fred added.
"Thats because she's sorted" Hugo grinned.
"Oh, how so?" James questioned him.
"Olly Willows" Al said, as if that explained everything. Apparently it did, as all the Wealseys and Potters started laughing.
"I'm missing something" Scorpius said.
"Olly is one of Lily's closest friends" Hugo explained. "He's also one of my closest friends. He's been number 1 prediction for her for the last 2 years. The almost comical part is that by 7:30 the girls make their requests to us, and I bet that Lily's will be him"
"How can you be sure?"
"How can you be sure of what, Malfoy?" Rose's head suddenly appeared in the fire.
"Predictions" James grinned as Rose stepped through into the fire. "Which is what you bring, right?"
"Yeah. Lils is the only one not spoken for at school so she wants Olly Willows" (Al and Hugo high-fived at this. James handed a couple of knuts over to Fred) "and that's it really" Rose smirked at the boys reaction. "Any requests from you boys?"
"Hugh wants to have a stab at Sarah Hooper, and we've all voted to break up Rox and set her up with Jack Waters" James smirked.
"Consider Rox sorted, she's up there debating splitting up with him right now" Rose said. "Apparently he's been acting funny and she's just a bit fed up of him"
"Right, that made our job easier" Hugo laughed. "Any predictions from the Girls camp?"
"We were spot on with you" Rose laughed, "and we've got someone lined up for Al and Louis"
"Do we get to know who?" James grinned.
"Maybe I'll owl you another time" Rose laughed. "Right I'll leave you boys to watch football. Enjoy" she said, turning to the fire.
"Wait, can I talk to you a minute?" Scorpius said, standing up and taking her hand. Rose lead them outside in response. Despite the cold and dark, Rose led him deeper into the garden until they were hidden from view.
"How was your first encounter with the Shed?" Rose grinned.
"It's mad" Scorpius laughed. "The setting up thing seems so well thought out, it's slightly scary"
"Well, we try and get it so everyone's happy" Rose said.
"Apparently I've been mentioned a couple of times in the Shed" Scorpius said, pulling Rose closer for a hug.
"Doesn't surprise me" Rose murmured before gently kissing him.
"Why doesn't it surprise you?"
"They either pick the best friend or the enemy" she laughed. "You've been the enemy and then you became a friend, so it's not surprise really"
"I love you"
"I love you too" she smiled, "but we really have to go back to the Shed. You have a football game to watch and I have a bitch session about the girls in Gryffindor to attend" she kissed him again before pulling him gently back to the Shed.
"Oh, Rose" James said as they cam back in. "You can't leave yet, we just realised we had a question for you"
"Go on" she said warily, sitting down on Scorpius' lap.
"Why didn't you tell someone that he'd raped you?" Hugo asked quietly.
"Because I couldn't" she replied just as quietly. Scorpius rubbed a hand on her was important she talk to her cousins about this. "I was too scared. He threatened me and he threatened to hurt Lily. I couldn't risk it" she said, starting to shake. "The only one people I told were Scorpius and McGonagall and even then that took far too much."
"You told him before you told us?" James look a little hurt.
"I couldn't face it James, I was too ashamed that i hadn't been able to fight him off" Rose was yelling now. "I told Scorp because he was there when Daniel beat me up at school and kept me safe until he was gone"
"Sorry Rose" James said, realising that this was delving far too deep.
"Lets go, Scorp." Rose muttered, standing up and dragging Scorpius into the floo with her. Rose strode out of the fireplace in the girl's room, and then straight out the door into the hallway. Scorpius followed her to her room, where she sta them down on the bed and burst into tears.
"It'll be alright, hun" he said, pulling her close. "It'll be alright"

I'm an awful human being, i know, but I bring an update (and quite a lengthy one at that) so surely i'm partly forgiven?
