"Itinery for today?"

"Well, we're staying at the Cottage for a few days now so I guess we can head over there after breakfast" she said. Scorpius nodded, and continued to eat his beans on toast.

"Rose?" Hugo knocked on the door quietly.

"Come in, Hugh" Rose sighed in reply. Hugo opened the door and cocked his head to one side. Scorpius was lying down on the bed on his front, a photo album opened in front of him. Rose was laying down on his back, facing the ceiling with a new book open in her hands. She summoned a bookmark before closing her book and rolling off of her boyfriend's back so she was laying next to him.

"What's up?" Rose asked, propping herslef up on one elbow.

"I just wanted to apologise for earlier" he said, hovering uncomfortably by the door. "And for what happened in the Shed yesterday afternoon"

"It's fine, Hugh, really. Yesterday, you needed to hear it from me really, and I am truly sorry I couldn't tell you before, but I was so scared and...and ashamed of it" she said quietly, sitting up. Scorpius sat up with her and let her lean back into him. "And for this morning...well, you didn't quite get the job done did you, he's still here" Rose grinned, pointing a thumb towards Scorpius, who retaliated by blowing in her ear. Rose shrieked and immediately grabbed a pillow and smacked him with it. Scorpius just sat there looking unimpressed.

"Ok, well, as long as we're ok" Hugo smiled. "And sorry, I'll try kill him properly next time" he grinned.

"Yeah, right" Rose scoffed, "like any of you boys would risk facing this" she motioned to herself.

"True" Hugo shrugged. "Anyway, I just came to say sorry and also to tell you that we're all going to play quidditch, so are you two coming?"

The couple shared one glance before Rose replied "Give us 15 minutes and we'll meet you down there"

"Ok, well, it'll take us that long to get the brooms down there and the balls and hoops" Hugo explained. "Use some of your 15 minutes to kit Scorpius out, but remember that teams are decided down there so don't kit him out in colours"

"That was my plan" Rose beamed. "See you down there, Hugh" she said as he turned and shut the door behind him.

"Battle gear?" Scorpius smirked. Rose jumped up and fumbled in one of her wardrobe drawers, plucking out odd scraps of leather. Scorpius watched as Rose threw more and more of this leather on to the bed, then threw an old tshirt, sweat shirt and a pair of semi-destroyed quidditch leggings.

"What even is that?" he asked as Rose pulled off her top and started positioning the leather along her arms and ribs before charming it in place.

"Protection against Grandad's bludgers, and James and Fred" she added as an after thought.

"How much do you need?" he asked, stunned, as Rose finished positioning a large plate over her back then slipped the tshirt and sweat shirt over her head.

"A lot" she said simply as she pulled off her jeans and started pulling on the quidditch leggings, which sliped onto her legs easily, then tightened and stiffened when she pointe her wand at them. She then fished around for boots in her wardrobe, but gave up proptly and summoned them. The leather boots looked extrememly comfortable as she slipped them on over thick, fluffy socks.

"Come on, we need to kit you out with spares" she grinned, grabbing his hand and pulling him along the corridor to a large trunk. She rummaged and found some more quidditch leggings and leather plates. She dragged him back to the bedroom and started positioning the plates of leather on his ribs, arms and back. The plates automatically adapted their shape to fit his figure, and after a couple of minutes, Scorpius slipped a shirt over his head. Rose threw him an old sweatshirt too, which he enlarged a bit before slipping that too over his head. Rose threw one final piece of leather at him.

"You can do your own crotch plate" she grinned. Scorpius laughed, pulling off his jeans and slipping the leather over the top of his underwear. He then wrestled the quidditch leggings over the top, before pulling on his slightly battered pair of trainers.

"So, these bludgers" he said as they walked down towards the hoops in one of the fields, "how bad are they for me to need a crotch plate" he laughed.

"They're lethal" Rose smirked. "Grandad Weasley tried to charm them years ago to make them less destructive, as we kept breaking bones, but they went haywire instead and nothing anyone's done has fixed them. The solution Grandad came up with was leathers. It would probably have been easier to replace the set, but I don't think anyone really cares that much" she laughed.

"Just in time, Rosie" James smirked as the pair approached. "We're picking teams. Scorpius, what's your position?"

"Chaser"

"Hear that Rose, the boy isn't a keeper" James tutted. Rose groaned at the awful pun. "Anyway, we need to decide teams. Team Captains this year are Rose and Dom" he said, looking at a piece of parchment in the trunk of balls. "Captains, pick your teams.

"Scorp" Rose grinned.

"James" Dom rolled her eyes.

"Fred"

"Lily"

The deciding went on for a couple of minutes but eventually the teams were decided. Rose was teamed with Scorpius, Fred, Vic, Lucy and Al, verses Dom with James, Lily, Roxy, Hugo and Louis. They wrote on a blackboard who was in which position:

Chasers: Scorpius, Vic, Al / Dom, Louis, Hugo

Beaters: Fred, Rose / James, Roxy

Seeker: Lucy / Lily

"What about keepers?" Scorpius asked.

"Oh, there's no keepers" Rose grinned. "Between the rogue bludgers and the beaters, and the Weasley rule book, there isn't really a need for one" Scorpius looked very confused so she explained it plainly; "If you get close enough to the goals to score, you're a lucky bastard"

Each team then got given a pot of face paint, and the players decorated their team's faces with the neon paint. Rose laughed as she drew a cat nose and whiskers in pink on Scorpius' face. He grinned to himself as he drew devil horns, a monobrow, moustache and goateee on her in return. The other players had all adopted simple war paint - vertical lines down the nose and chin and horizontal lines across the cheeks. Lily shook her head when she saw Rose and Scorpius. Harry, who was acting as referee, summoned a camera and snapped a photo of the pair when they weren't looking.

"No killing each other" was all he said. "Take your positions, and let the game begin" he grinned, kicking the chest to release the balls.

Scorpius raced forwards for the quaffle and was immediately part of a mid-air scrum for the ball. He got elbowed by Dom and was that Louis? before he realised that the quaffle was already halfway towards the other team's goals in the hands of Vic. Scorpius grinned at the prospect of getting points within a minute of the game, but his grin faltered as he watched a bludger sail at Vic's side. Scorpius gaped as he watched the young woman leap off her broom vertically upwards, summersault then land back on her broom, the bludger having already passed underneath her. Then a beater bat hit her in the shoulder and the quaffle dropped out of her hands into Hugo's waiting arms.

"How in the hell did you do that?" he yelled at Vic as she joined him as he raced after the ball.

"Practice" she grinned. "But i'm not in any way the best with tricks" she smirked. "I mean, you are going out with the Weasley show off" she pointed at Rose, who was flying effortlessly around on her broom, her hair flying around her in a halo of red. He watched as she smacked one bludger towards her brother then another at James. Hugo took a hit to the back and swung on his broom so he was hanging upside down gripping on with his legs. James saw it coming and returned the bludger. Rose vaulted upwards in a backwards summersault before landing on her tiptoes on her broom, her bat in hand like a sword. she surfed through the air, smacking the tail of Dom's broom before sliding back into her seat and rolling the broom twice to avoid the beater's bat James threw at her as a last attempt.

"You have to be kidding me" Scorpius said. Rose pulled into position next to him and Vic as she watched Al sail towards the other hoops, quaffle in hand.

"You never showed him that?" Vic asked.

"Well, Slytherin was better off not knowing I can do all the fancy tricks" Rose grinned. "All they needed to know was I can hit a bludger pretty hard and with decent aim. Hold on, Louis' coming" Rose smirked. Scorpius' heart leapt out of his chest as Rose suddenly dropped off her broom. He looked down and realised she was hanging on with her fingertips. As Louis sailed underneath them, Rose dropped and landed on the front of his broom with the balance of a cat. She easily plucked the quaffle out of his hand and threw it to Vic who darted off. She stepped on Louis' hand as she leapt upwards, gripping on to Fred's hand as he dropped her back onto her broom.

"You just..." he managed, utterly speechless. Rose leant over and kissed his cheek.

"Wake up, Chaser, your team needs some points scored" she smirked before darting off after a bludger and smacking it at Lily who easily hopped over it in a similar way to Vic, but without the summersault. Lily managed a full body turn instead, twisting around the bludger. She landed on her broom again and stuck her tongue out at Rose. She then put on a sudden burst of speed and then sailed vertically upwards. Scorpius' gaze followed her, but he suddenly saw both bludgers and two bats follow her, as well as Lucy hot on her tail. However, Fred and Rose's attempt at distracting her failed, and Lily's hand clasped around the faded gold snitch before she leant back and sailed towards the ground in an almost vertical dive, her arm stretched out in front of her. All the players landed shortly afterwards as Harry grinned from the ground, He hadn't even mounted his broom.

"Well, 11 minutes has to be a record" he smiled, pointing his wand at the bludgers to return them to their box. "And nice new trick, Rose, haven't seen the dropping one before" he laughed.

"How and when do you come up with all of these tricks?" Scorpius rounded on her.

"Us girls get practice in during the holdiays and invent some new ones too, then keep the skills up when we're doing team training at school" Rose shrugged, peeling off he sweat shirt and tshirt and plucking the leather padding off her upper body. She then threw her shirt back on before scooping up her gear and walking back towards the Burrow.

"But, how have you kept all those secret? with those moves you could be in any professional team you wanted"

"The difference is that I don't want to be in a professional team. And the tricks are all for show, it just makes family games more interesting."

"Rose, if you and Scorpius want to buy supplies for the Cottage, you need to leave pretty shortly, so the shops over there don't close" Hermione said as they walked into the kitchen.

"Ok Mum" Rose grinned, sitting on the sofa by the fire.

"Doesn't that mean we need to get our stuff?"

"It's on it's way" Rose grinned. "In fact, it should all be coming round about"

"OWW" Al groaned as a bag hit him in the stomach. "Rose, watch your aim"

"Sorry Al" she laughed, grabbing the tiny bag off the floor. "See you in a couple days, Mum"

"Remember what I talked to you about!" Hermione's shout was half lost as Rose pulled Scorpius into the fire. They landed on the floor in the lounge of the Cottage a moment later.

"How bad do we smell?" Rose asked Scorpius, standing up.

"What a ladylike question" he smirked, finding his feet.

"I mean, can we get away with spraying deodorant all over ourselves to go to the shops quickly, or do we need a shower?" she laughed.

"Oh, I think we can manage with deodorant" he grinned. "an 11 minute game hardly makes you sweat"

"Great" Rose said.

"What do you want to eat?" Rose asked as the walked along the aisle of a nearly empty Tesco.

"What, for tonight, or for the next few days?" he asked.

"Just for tonight and tomorrow morning" Rose said. "We can come back tomorrow with an actual list once we've planned what we'll need"

"Ok, well I can cook a pretty decent stir fry?" Scorpius suggested.

"So we need a pepper, baby sweetcorn, sugarsnap peas and beansprouts, and noodles and maybe chicken or pork?" Rose said, forming a mental list.

"Yeah, and soy sauce"

"And breakfast...croissants?"

"Sorted" Scorpius grinned. "Now, explain how you navigate this place. It's like a maze in here..."

"You've never been in a supermarket?"

"No, and I feel very lost" he grinned.

"Oh Scorp" Rose sighed before launching herself into an explanation for him.

Half an hour later, Scorpius stood at the stove in the Cottage stirring their meal in the frying pan. Rose was washing plates and cuttlery in the sink with her wand.

"So what other tricks can you do on a broom?" Scorpius asked.

"Well, you sat the backflip, drop and the balancing from me, and then the turnover from Hugo and the flip from Vic and the jump twist and dive from Lily" she listed, "But on top of that we have the Lazy Lying, the tail flip, the handle pirouette and the leap of faith, and probably some more i've forgotten about"

"You're going to have to show me those at some point" Scrpius laughed, stirring the pan again. "Plates?" Rose handed him the two clean plates and he dished their dinner out before flciking his wand to send the plates to the table.

"Maybe another day. For now, we have a set timetable of events for tonight" Rose grinned as she started eating her dinner.

"And what does that timetable include?" Scorpus asked.

"Well, you'll just have to eat your dinner up like a good boy and find out, won't you" Rose winked. "But it does include using this" Scorpius almost choked as he felt her socked foot press lightly into his groin, "and I dont expect to get very much sleep either" she smirked.

"You're evil" Scorpius choked out.

"You won't be saying that later" she laughed as Scorpius got up and got himself a drink to stop the choking.
