"Thanks Sasuke, you've made my day." Sakura said while looking at the sky. "No problem, dear. In fact, just seeing you everyday makes my day." And they both laughed.
Reunited – A SasuSaku Story – Chapter 9 Cookies and Cream or Double Dutch?
"Na-na-na-na-na-na-na, Ice Cream!" The bright and energetic blonde male sang.
"Shut up, Dobe. You're making me lose my concentration." The grumpy black haired male said.
"Teme! – Naruto came closer to Sasuke and whispered – Concentrating about what? You're thinking about you and Sakura-chan, locked in the same room and staring at each other with lust in your eyes then you came close to her and touched her –"
*PUNCH*
"What the hell are you talking about? It's a million years to early for that!" Sasuke shouted with a (very) visible blush on his face.
Everybody looked at him.
"Dude, what are you talking about? And why are you blushing?" Shikamaru said
"Yes, is something bothering you?" Hinata asked.
"Dear, what's wrong?" Sakura worriedly asked Sasuke.
"I-it's nothing. It's just – he glared at Naruto – the heat's killing me." Sasuke answered back.
"Oh, there's the ice cream parlor. Let's get in before Sasuke dies of heatstroke." Ino joked.
Sasuke sighed.
"Are you really okay? Do you want to go home?" Sakura asked, with a hint of worry in her emerald eyes.
"No. I want to enjoy this day with you, darling." Sasuke smilingly said.
Sakura smiled. "Well, then good."
They entered the Ice Cream Parlor –
"It's so cold! Na-na-na-na-na Ice Cream!" The blonde boy sang as he tugged Hinata with him.
"Naruto-kun, slow down…." Was all Hinata said.
"What flavor do you want, Hinata-chan? Strawberry, Mango, Chocolate, Vanilla or Mixed?" asked Naruto with enthusiasm.
"I think I'll take Vanilla with chocolate sprinkles." Hinata replied.
"You heard the lady! I'll take the same order too." Naruto shouted at the waitress and they searched for their table.
"What do you want, dear? Chocolate or Vanilla? Cookies and Cream or Double Dutch?" Sakura asked her dear boyfriend.
"I think I'll take Cookies and Cream. I'll pay." Sasuke said while he reached into his pocket for some money.
Sakura held his hand and said, " Didn't I say all of you are my treat?"
"Well, you did say that, but, just let me pay half of us."
"Do you really want to do that?
"Well, yeah. Besides, I love you."
" I love you too, but no. I'm paying." Sakura proceeded to get her purse.
Sasuke stopped her. "I. Am. Paying. Got it?" Sakura frowned but smiled again.
"Well, if you insist on paying, then go and pay." Sakura said as she kissed Sasuke's cheek and joined Naruto and Hinata's table.
"Shika, I want Vanilla." Ino said.
"Hey miss, one Vanilla and – hey Choji! What flavor do you want?" Shikamaru shouted at Choji.
"Oh, I'll have Chocolate, Caramel, Vanilla, Mango and some water."
"Yeah, yeah. You heard the man, miss." Shikamaru said while he went towards the table of the group.
"We're all at that table, ok? Thanks." Sasuke said at the waitress and he joined the group also.
"Hey, did you know that – " Ino whispered.
"I ate thousands of shrimp!" Choji declared. Hinata and Naruto's face were green. Yeah, they couldn't eat THAT MUCH.
Sasuke sat beside Sakura. "So, how are things?"
"Noisier than ever." Sakura chuckled as she kissed Sasuke lightly on the lips.
Sasuke blushed. "Well, that's good news."
And they both laughed.
"Hell yeah! That was awesome!" Naruto shouted at the two lovebirds.
"Do that again! It was so sweet!" Ino was shivering (with delight) like a weird crazy person.
"That was cute!" Hinata said.
The two lovebirds blushed.
"Here are your orders." A black-haired waitress said.
"Yum! Itadekimasu!" Naruto shouted as he scooped a big amount of Ice Cream (literally big amount) and shoved it into his mouth. "It's the best!"
"Naruto-kun, once again, slow down. You might get choked or – " Hinata said but interrupted by Naruto because he suddenly held her arm.
"H-H-H-Hinata-chan, I'm c-choking…."
"Oh shit." Hinata cursed, accidentally.
Everyone chuckled. Hinata rarely (in fact, very rare you'll never hear her curse.) cursed. And it sounded really cute.
"Here's water." Sasuke handed his water to Hinata.
"Thanks. Sorry for cursing earlier. I didn't mean it." Hinata apologized as she took the water.
Everyone chuckled again. "We know."
" Go drink your water, baka." Hinata said as she handed Naruto the water and he gulped it down.
"Thanks Hinata-chan, you're a lifesaver!" Naruto said and he went back to eating his ice cream.
"Whatever…" Hinata sighed.
After a while…
"That ice cream was sure good!" Naruto exclaimed as they went on their merry way. Others are talking about their own matters. Ino and Shikamaru babbled (more like Ino) about their relationship, Choji was mumbling about food, Hinata was….accompanying Naruto (while patiently listening to his babbles.
Sasuke was whispering sweet nothings on Sakura's ear, making the girl giggle. Occasional 'you're so corny!' or 'that's so cheesy!' could be heard from them. Ino heard this and decided to make fun of them.
"Now aren't you the cheesiest couple in Konoha?" Ino teased. Sakura blushed tenfold while Sasuke hn'ed. "Stop being a jerk in front of your girlfriend, geez." Ino rolled her eyes. Sasuke grunted. "Like hell you care, Yamanaka." Ino snorted, "The name's Ino, I-N-O, in case you forgot. Secondly, of course I care! Sakura's like my best sister-friend!" Sakura giggled. "That's enough, you two. This might get serious, you know?" Sakura laughed light-heartedly. "Shikamaru-kun, take your beloved somewhere else romantic." This time, Ino was the one who blushed.
"F-Forehead!" Sakura laughed.
"Love you too, pig." Sakura grinned as she saw Ino being dragged by Shikamaru.
"Now, we can have our time together." Sasuke lightly kissed Sakura forehead. "I love you." Sakura smiled. "I love you too, baka."
"Let's go to your apartment and watch a movie." Sakura suggested. Sasuke smirked, "Sure…" then they left the others.
Minutes later…
"Ehh?! Where's teme and Sakura-chan? And Shikamaru and Ino?" Naruto shouted, searching for the four.
"It looks like they ditched us…" Hinata timidly said.
"Well, let's have our own date, Hinata-chan!" Naruto happily said while dragging the poor Hinata away with him, leaving a confused and lonely Choji in their wake.
"Uh, guys?" Choji trailed off…

Gomen! Gomen! Gomen! I don't deserve your love! It's been years since I last updated! School's been taking a toll on me and I'm deeply apologizing for leaving this story behind! I recall a time when I thought about discontinuing the story and have it deleted… But I contradicted myself and said that I will not ever give up this story (especially when it features my most favorite couple).
