Faith was laying bed, staring up at the ceiling. She turned onto her side, closing her eyes. She ignored the tone of her cellphone, without having to check, Faith knew it was Buffy calling. She had to get out of bed, get ready for school, and pick Buffy up. She was running late and Faith wasn't in a hurry to do any of this.

Buffy was ready to go. Waiting for Faith to pick her up, but her girlfriend hadn't shown up on time. She phoned her, only for the phone to ring until it went to voicemail. She didn't leave a message. Buffy knew Faith was home, that was one of the many benefits to living only a few houses away from her girlfriend. She walked over, and pressed the doorbell. She tried calling her again.
Faith rolled over onto her back, letting out a groan, and ran her hands down her face. She knew it was Buffy at the door, and grabbed her phone. "Yes, Buffy." She grumpily answered her cellphone.
"Good morning to you." She playfully replied. "I'm standing outside your house."
"I know." She sighed, not wanting to get out of bed. "I'm not feeling good."
Buffy smiled. "I'll play nurse, and make it all better." She suggestively stated.
Faith wasn't trying to get Buffy in bed. It was the furthest thing from her mind these days. She closed her eyes, wanting to be alone, but she didn't want to hurt Buffy's feelings. "I don't think that'll make me feel better."
"Are you going to open the door?" She reached out, turning the doorknob, but it was locked.
"There's a fake rock with a key in it. Near the last step at the bottom of the stairs." She ended the call, and waited for Buffy to come up. A few moments passed by when she heard the sound of Buffy opening her bedroom door, and walk up the stairs.
"So, you're not feeling good?" Buffy asked, dropping her bag to the floor, and joined Faith in bed.
"No. You'll have to go to school without me giving you a ride." She replied, putting on an act of feeling under the weather.
She reached out, touching Faith's forehead. "You don't feel too hot." She remarked, sliding her hand down to the side of Faith's face, and placed a gentle kiss to her mouth.
"Yeah, it's more of a stomach thing." She pulled back.
"Yeah?" Buffy smiled, slipping her hand underneath the blanket, and caressed Faith's stomach through her T-shirt. "That any better?"
"B," Faith gently grabbed hold of Buffy's hand, and slipped it from under the blanket. "I'm not feeling up to that." She softly stated.
She lightly laughed. "You always says that but it doesn't take much to get you going."
"Not today. I'm feeling pretty bad here." Faith replied.
"I'll stay here, and take care of you today. Anything you want." She proposed, wanting to be a good girlfriend, and just spend as much time with Faith as possible.
She briefly smiled. "I'm just going to sleep. You should go to school."
"Sounds like you don't want me here." Buffy laughed, waiting for Faith to tell her otherwise, but her girlfriend remained silent. "That's it? You really don't want me around?" She questioned, sitting up in bed.
"I just want to be alone." She apologetically stated.
"Fine!" She climbed out of bed. "Be alone!" She snapped, rushing to grab her bag.
"Wait!" She called out, throwing back the blanket, and got out of bed. "B. I just wouldn't be good company. You shouldn't have to hang out here all day with me." She tried to smooth things over between the two of them.
Buffy turned to face her. "So, you do want me around?"
Faith nodded. "Yeah, you don't have to leave, but I'm just going to lay here all day."
"Then you'll have yourself some company." She smiled, pulling Faith back to bed.

It wasn't so bad, laying in bed with Buffy cuddled up to her. Watching a marathon of 'The Walking Dead'. Buffy wasn't trying to get in her pants, thinking that Faith truly wasn't feeling well. With all of that said, Faith would've preferred to be alone. Time to herself was important. "Are you hungry? I could go out a grab us some take out." She offered.
Faith eagerly nodded. They'd give her at least an hour to herself she thought.
Buffy laughed, sitting up in bed. "What do you think you could handle? Your stomach is still bothering you, isn't it?" She questioned.
"Soup and a sandwich. I think I could keep that down." She answered.
"I'll just need to borrow your car." Buffy smiled, liking the idea of finally driving Faith's Mustang.
"Not going to happen, B." She shook her head.
Buffy playfully pouted. "You let Willow drive it."
"Yes, but I was in the car." She pointed out. "Look, how about I make us something." Faith sat up, swinging her legs over the side of the bed.
"You sure you're feel up to it?"
"Yeah, you stay here, and I'll bring it up." She climbed out of bed, purposefully moving slow, but not slow enough for Buffy to be concerned, at least she hoped not.
"Okay," She laid back down, turning her attention back to the television.
Faith smiled to herself, thinking that'd been easier than she thought. She didn't notice that Buffy had set her sights on Faith's cell phone on the bedside table.
She didn't make a move to pick it up until Faith had disappeared out of sight down the stairs, and the sound of her bedroom door opening had confirmed to Buffy she was alone. She rushed to pick up the phone, swiping her finger against it. Faith didn't have a code locking it, and Buffy happily smiled, feeling a rush at how easy it'd been.
She immediately looked through text messages, everyone who her girlfriend had been chatting with were innocent conversations. Nothing to cause Buffy to worry, and no messages from Cordelia. She should've put the phone down after that, but curiosity wouldn't allow Buffy to do that.
She scrolled through Faith's short contact list. Nothing out of the ordinary there in her opinion. Faith didn't do social media, and didn't have any of those apps on her phone. She looked through her phone history, nothing there either. The last thing she did was look through Faith's pictures, and once again there hadn't been anything to discover. Plenty of pictures of cars in various forms of restoration, a few snaps of her parents, Willow, Xander, and Buffy. Even one of her and Dawn making goofy faces. Buffy smiled to herself. She had a good one here. Nothing to worry about.
Buffy decided to take a closer look at the conversations, curious about how much her girlfriend talked about her. She decided to look at what Faith and Willow chatted about, going as far back as the text history allowed.
Faith wasn't halfway down the hallway when she considered going back up to ask Buffy what'd liked to eat. She slowly walked through the open doorway, intending on scaring Buffy for a laugh. She slowly walked up the steps, taking her time. So, quiet that Buffy didn't hear Faith, and didn't take any notice of her until Faith spoke up. "What're you doing, Buffy?" She angrily asked, crossing the room, and snatched her cellphone out of her girlfriend's hands.
"Nothing, I was just-"
"Looking through my phone!" She snapped, looking down at the screen, Buffy had been reading a conversation she'd had with Willow that predated her and Buffy even getting together. It was off putting, an invasion of privacy, and it made Faith incredibly angry. "You can't just go around looking through my things." She slipped the phone into her pocket.
"We shouldn't have any secrets between the two of us." Buffy shot back, climbing out of bed to square off with her girlfriend.
Faith mirthlessly laughed. "You don't see me digging around in your phone."
"You can look if you want." She stomped over to her bag, digging through it and pulled out her cellphone.
She shook her head. "You don't get it. I wouldn't do that to you."
Buffy held out her cellphone, hoping Faith wouldn't call her bluff. She was pretty sure there were a few things that she didn't want Faith to see.
"I don't want or need to look at your phone. You're only doing it so we'll be even and you'll feel better." She spat out.
"Why are you so angry? Do you have something to hide?" Buffy suspiciously asked.
"You tell me! You looked through my phone! Am I hiding anything?"
Faith wasn't and Buffy was at a loss for words. Eyes suddenly brimming with tears. "She's got her sights set on you."
"Cordelia?"
Buffy nodded. "She's interested in you. She won't stop until you're with her."
"That doesn't give you a right to look through my phone." Faith firmly replied. "You don't have to worry about Cordelia. I'm with you." Her tone softened.
"Why do you have to be so great?" She smiled, wiping at her tears, and moved over to Faith.
She backed up. Still upset about what Buffy had done. "I think you should go Buffy."
Buffy looked crestfallen. "You're kicking me out?"
"I'm just — I'm just asking you to leave. What you did wasn't right. It just means you don't trust me, and I'm angry that you looked at my phone. I really don't want to be around you right now."
She couldn't believe it. Buffy stormed out of Faith's bedroom, hoping that her girlfriend would follow after her. She continued to hold out hope, even as she stepped outside, crossing the street and made her way a few houses down to her home. She stepped inside and shut the door Buffy knew Faith wasn't going to chase after her and Buffy began to cry.

Faith couldn't stop thinking about what Buffy had done, sitting with her parents at the kitchen table and eating dinner.
"You okay?" Gloria asked, reaching out to pat her daughter's hand.
"Yeah, I'm fine." She nodded, a half hearted smile on her face.
Gloria didn't believe her, but she didn't push. She went back to talk about the upcoming trip to another car auction with Frank. Faith spoke up. "Can I go?"
Frank looked at his daughter. "Yeah?" He smiled. She hadn't come along with them since she'd begun dating Buffy, and he missed her company on the trips. "Of course. Plenty of room for one more. What about Buffy?"
Faith leaned back in her chair. "We don't always have to see each other."
He chuckled. "Sorry, it's just that the two of you are attached at the hips these days. I thought you forgot about your old man." Franke good-naturedly replied.
The sound of the door bell interrupted their conversation. Faith jumped up from her seat to answer it, and avoid anymore talk about her and Buffy. She was quick to answer the door, surprised to see Buffy standing on the other side of the door. Her eyes briefly widened, and she lowered her voice. "B, what're you doing here?"
Buffy smiled, stepping by her girlfriend and walked inside. "Sorry, I'm late." She loudly spoke.
Faith was confused. They'd had an argument earlier that day, and Buffy thought it was all right to just show up at her house. She followed her girlfriend into the kitchen, watching her greet her parents. Faith was on autopilot, grabbing a paper plate for Buffy to join them at the table. She wanted to ask Buffy what she thought she was doing, but didn't want to do it in front of her parents. Buffy accepted the plate offered to her, grabbing a slice of pizza. She knew that what she was doing could backfire in her face, but she hadn't been able to sit at home wondering about the state of her relationship with Faith. She needed to prove to her girlfriend that things between them were fine, and that Faith needed her around. She was a great girlfriend, and just had to make Faith see it. All Faith could see was a girl who couldn't get the message that she needed space, and sat down next to Buffy at the table.
