kuroko no basket has ended guys
ive just finished crying how are you
Almost instinctively, Ayame dodged any path that led her relatively close to the basketball gym. It had already been a while since she saw a certain redhead, yet her last memory was clear as day. Remembering all the tears she shed, she almost hit herself in her face. Hopefully her clinginess hadn't turned him off being her friend.
"Honestly, I'm not that clingy all the time." she sighed into the air.
Her long legs walked gracefully, as she finally arrived in her destination. The small empty music room, serving as practice space for school bands. As she waited for her band members to come, her mind wandered off once again. Her mind played with the idea of visiting the basketball team once again. She deemed to herself that enough waiting had been done, and after all it was about time to get rid of her awkwardness with Akashi. Tapping her finger impatiently, she was about to burst into a fit of worry as she weighed up her options when her band members walked in.
"Good afternoon!"
"Aah, home sweet home~"
"Finally, done with that English test!"
Ayame whipped her head around to the sight of her girls and immediately smiled.
"An English test? I just had mine last week, and aced it!"
They all laughed, knowing she was fluent in English.
"No bragging!" Chie said, and she jokingly smacked Ayame's head on her way in.
The clock ticked by as they all began setting up their instruments. And in no time, they were set in position to practice. Ayame flicked through her music sheets, looking at her selection of songs to play. Their Teikou gig had finally been done a while ago, and now was the time to begin new songs.
"How about Runners High first, for the our live house performance next month?"
The girls turned in the direction of Maeda, who suggested the idea, before all nodding together. So with the countdown of the drums, they began playing. As only a sight reading practice, it was horrible to the ears. And unfortunately for the girls, someone heard their ear wrenching performance.
"Well, well. Don't tell me your Teikou performance was merely a fake?"
All four girls blanched the moment they heard the comment, but more specifically Ayame. Because that voice could've only belonged to the one and only, Akashi.
"Akashi-san?! Good.. good afternoon?" she greeted, greatly confused.
He nodded. "Do not worry, basketball practice is off today. The team.. has a short break."
(And yet metres away from this moment right now, was a pair of stubborn basket ballers practicing their light and shadow duo.)
"What are you doing here, Akashi-san?" Yumi challenged. The other member blanched a second time for the day, at the blunt comment of their member.
"I'm simply here to listen." He turned to Ayame. "Is it a problem, with you visiting the basketball team so often?"
This time, all the girls turned to Ayame, quietly raising eyebrows. In their head, they all had one similar thought. So the esteemed Generation of Miracles captain is Ayame's mysterious boy.
Surprised at his offer, Ayame found herself not really minding his visit. Instead, she was more or so happy that he had forgotten about her breakdown a while ago. Smiling, she welcomed the redhead into a seat, oblivious to the nervous breakdowns of the girls around her.
As soon as the girls went back to their practice positions, they watched Akashi nervously.
"So.. what did you want to listen to?" Ayame asked.
It was almost as if Ayame had just realised who she had invited to watch their practice. She frantically looked around her team mates for help in conversation, but they were all speed practicing their sight reading to make the least of fools out of themselves when they performed. Akashi however, merely scoffed to himself at their desperation.
"Hm? Continue normally, I just wanted to watch."
With a nervous nod Ayame cued Maeda to begin. They ran through their sight read of Runners High once again, this time with even more mistakes. Almost immediately, all four girls forgot about their little guest and went into a heated discussion of what to fix. The guest himself, watched with relative interest to their discussion. However, he was much more focused on one particular girl herself.
Several minutes later, the band split up to practice their own individual parts. And naturally, he moved to watch Ayame. The poor girl barely managed to sing and play her guitar at the same time under the watchful eye of Akashi.
With every note and beat, Ayame slowly nudged further from him. And he noticed it.
Now impatient with her distance, he casually decided to throw the girl next to him in further array.
"Can you teach me the guitar?"
Everyone in the room almost did a double take as the redhead eyed her carefully. They all watched as Ayame slowly nodded, and handed him her guitar. His large hands glided over the strings of her guitar, and she was almost fascinated to see how easily he could play the guitar. Mindlessly, she reached her hands and held it over his, helping his fingers curved into a basic c chord.
"Your hands.. are so large. It's perfect for playing the guitar."
"And also basketball." he replied bluntly.
Ayame's eyes twinkled and laughed in reply, along with the quiet giggles of the other girls eavesdropping. The pair continued this way for the rest of practice, ignoring the others peeking at them. Eventually the time designated for individual practice went over, but none of the other girls wanted to interfere. Instead, they all left a hasty goodbye when practice was over to leave Ayame and Akashi alone.
Putting her guitar bag on the shoulders, Ayame was about to lock up the music room when Akashi stopped her.
"Shall I walk you home?"
And with a click of the keys, she nodded.
"Alright."
