A/N: Well hello there! It's been a while, I know. School started, so I've been trying to get back into some sort of routine. for some reason, I can only write during school. It's like I only have Writers' Block at home... I dunno. Anyways, enjoy!

"This is not what I meant!" Ryan bellowed as she was pushed into the loud, flashy club. With Alex and Logan pulling her arms and Carlos, James and Kendall guarding her from behind, she was helpless and trapped.
"You said you wanted a night out with your friends," James shouted over the thumping music with a cheeky grin. The steely glare he received in response was enough to make a grown man fear for his life.
"I meant dinner, maybe a movie, you assholes," she gritted out. The five men laughed before dragging her in further, purely against her will. Alex pushed her onto the dance floor, but the second he let go, she waltzed past him and took a seat at the bar, head in her hands. When she sensed him approaching, she didn't even look up. She waved him off, and he complied, knowing not to mess with her. She sighed, rubbing her eyes with the heels of her palms when she noticed Carlos and Logan plop down on either side of her. Looking up, she sighed, Carlos following in her example.
"I know this isn't really your scene, and I tried to convince them not to come here, but..." He trailed off for a moment as he tried to find the right words. "Maybe you need it." He concluded.
"I know, but like you said, it's not really my scene." He nodded understandingly. "I'll give it a try, though." He smiled when she said that and nodded contently. The conversation was interrupted by Logan letting out a whoop.
"Well, let's get this show on the road, shall we? James and Kendall have already disappeared with Alex, probably off getting themselves in trouble." Carlos and Ryan laughed, knowing the extent of the boys' shenanigans. "I'll buy the first round. After that, it's on you brother." Carlos shrugged, agreeing with the proposition, but Ryan interrupted.
"Actually," she began, "I don't drink." Logan's mouth fell open and Carlos cocked an eyebrow. "Some say it's wise, others prefer calling it paranoia. But by all means, you two go ahead." She sat back comfortably, crossing her arms and waiting in anticipation for the spectacle that was sure to come. The two men shrugged and ordered the shots.
"To new beginnings." With that, they threw back the first shot of the night.
"All I'm sayin'," Kendall hiccuped, "is that there are mo-more important things in life than spendi-ing time fixin' shit." He to a swig of his umpteenth drink of the night. Carlos shook his head groggily before sipping on his whiskey, and James and Ryan simply laughed. James held his second bottle of beer, far closer to sober than either of his friends. They were all quiet for a moment before a drunken Logan stumbled into the bar followed by a very amused Alex.
"What're y'all do in' sit tin' around?" he slurred with a sly smile, his drawl making itself more prominent. He grabbed Ryan by the arm, stumbling as he pulled. "Dance with me..." He dragged her onto the crowded dance floor, ignoring his stern protests. They were only a few feet from the bar, standing in plain sight of the group. The remaining men watched intently as he spun her around so that her back met her chest. He leaned down just enough to whisper in her ear.
"Just for fun. Relax." She sighed reluctantly but complied nonetheless, leaning back against him ever so slightly.
Carlos woke to James hovering over him with a spray bottle of ice water, a smirk growing on his face at the sight of his very hungover and very annoyed friend.
"The hell..." He groggily wiped the water from his face, glaring at James as he sat up. He opened his mouth, about to say something when he heard a groan and a thud from across the room. When he turned, he couldn't help but smirk at the sight of Kendall laying face-down on the floor, tangled in his bed sheets.
"Somebody get the floor outa my face." His voice was muffled by the hotel floor. Carlos fell back onto the bed, muttering a soft "nope" and chuckling. James shook his head and went to assist his friend who still had a mouth full of carpet. When Kendall was finally standing stable, James turned back to Carlos, spraying him repeatedly with the bottle. The Latino shot up, a murderous look gracing his face for a split second before he grabbed his head, wincing at the dizzy feeling.
"Too fast..." he grumbled before slowly standing and snatching the bottle from James, spraying him in retaliation. When James made a move to snatch it from Carlos, he was sprayed again by the smirking Latino. He growled, lunging at the bottle only to trip over the tangled bed sheets that had fallen to the floor with Kendall only moments before. Carlos laughed, spraying his friend one last time with what was left in the bottle before he noticed Kendall step out of the bathroom looking far fresher than how Carlos felt.
"Morning all," he said cheerily, earning a questioning look from a still hungover Carlos.
"How are you already over it?!" he said, extremely confused as to how Kendall was even able to smile. He simply shrugged in response. Their exchange was interrupted by the muffled sound of a deep country voice coming from somewhere on Carlos's bed.
"Country girl, shake it for me, girl. Shake it for me, girl. Shake it for me." Carlos's eyes widened as he frantically began tossing the sheets around searching for the source. When he finally found the phone, he answered, trying his best to smooth the worry out of his voice.
"Ryan, uh," he cleared his throat, "what's up?" When he spoke her name, Kendall's eyes widened in realization as he tried to hold in his laughter. James smirked, also having put the pieces together. He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, earning an embarrassed glare and a slap upside the head from Carlos who was still listening to Ryan as she spoke on the other end.
"I see you're finally awake. Why don't you come on up to your room? You and Logan can get over those hangovers together." With that, she hung up. Carlos stared curiously at the phone, wondering about her ticked-off tone. Just then, Kendall nearly fell over, releasing a bout of laughter. James chuckled but controlled himself better than the blonde. After a moment of Kendall laughing, James smirking, and Carlos glaring, Kendall finally choked out a few words.
"C-country girl?!" he stuttered. This triggered yet another round of uncontrollable guffawing. Carlos's blush was still visible, even under the tan skin.
"Fuck off."
After nearly an hour, the three men managed to drag themselves down the hallway of the hotel to Carlos's room. He produced a key, letting them into the room. What they found was Alex asleep on the bed, and Ryan examining something on Logan's face. When they noticed the men entering, Ryan and Logan stood up to greet them. Carlos and Kendall's eyes widened at the sight of their friend.
"Loges, what happened to your face?!" Kendall practically shouted, carefully examining the yellowing bruise on the other man's jaw. When Logan didn't answer, Ryan stepped up to fill in the story.
"It's really quite simple. And stupid," she began. "It was Carlos."
