Warnings: This is the 8th chapter. In case my story interests you, go ahead and read from the very beginning.

Tsukiko Ikeda has mixed feelings as of the moment. Everything she feels right now is unexplainable and it leaves her speechless. She hate being the one who lacks words to say and she blame it all to a certain kendo club leader with those flying golden locks.

She watched Arturia both with horror—and awe. She would be lying if she would say that the girl isn't as awesome as what everyone said. No, saying she's awesome would be an understatement; she's beyond human. Butthat's the problem. She's totally in her alter mode right now that Tsukiko bet she could beat Diarmuid the Lancer in a pulp any moment. Tsukiko continued to eye both the players spar with each other with intense anxiety. Any moment from now, one of them would fall down or as her club mate just said, die.

The arena roared again as Diarmuid just scored an almost hit to Arturia's left wrist. The move could've paralyzed Arturia's left hand if all the right joints would be hit but Arturia's quick reflexes took in. She effortlessly dodged through Diarmuid's spears, parried, rolled and countered a quick thrust of her katana to Diarmuid's right. Diarmuid blocked it again with the two spears this time.

The two weapons cast an eerie glow against the gymnasium's ceilings. The ever-growing tension filled the whole fortified her offense while Diarmuid maintained his defense. Arturia smirked at the taller boy's determination.

"Oh? Such strong defense, huh? Well, this won't last long anyway." She deepened her smirk as she pushed Diarmuid away with a light grunt. Diarmuid somersaulted and put a good distance between him and her with his GaeDaerg and GaeBuidhe in hand.

"I'm actually surprised you have such incredible endurance for a woman who's small." And he wasn't lying. He really is amazed. He smirked back to show he's enjoying this.

"Hmp. I'm not given by the title Saber just for show!"

And right after those words left her mouth, she quickly advanced towards Diarmuid with an ungodly speed; her katana pointing. The boy was totally taken aback by the sudden movement that all he did was to effortlessly block it using GaeDaerg. The yellow spear barely made it on time. The clash of the weapons made a chink sound. The arena fell quiet again as they continued to survey both the frowned when Arturia's smirk deepened as she rolled backwards.

"You lose, Lancer!" She shouted with taunting eyes. Arturia didn't even break a sweat.

Diarmuid looked down and saw that GaeDaerg has a large, ugly crack. The spear is made of metal and he doesn't understand why it would cleave. Metal against metal doesn't make sense, but considering Saber's current circumstances now, it is possible. Saber Alter's infinite mana did this to his spear.

'Why did you become like this, Arturia?' He thought, 'What on earth happened to you?'

Realizing that the weapon isn't usable anymore, he threw it away at the side of the platform while some random student caught it. He shook his head indifferently.

"You never fail to amaze me, Saber." Diarmuid closed his eyes and shook all the tension away. His current stance screamed forfeit.

Seeing this chance, Arturia charged and tilted her katana. Her hollow eyes glinted with malice as her entire soul begged for victory.

'DIE!' Saber Alter's inner voice commanded.

"Hiyaaaaaaaaa!" She made a light jump at the last step and thrusted it with such brute force.

The whole arena became noisy again as they feared for Diarmuid. Other students, particularly the members of the lancing team, looked towardsKiritsugu's direction to ask for approval to stop the freaking fight before their leader would get hurt. But Kiritsugu remained his nonchalant demeanor; a poker face still maintained.

'At this point, Diarmuid will lose...' He thought.

The people thought it's over for the lancing team leader, but boy, were they so wrong. At the last minute of Arturia's attack, Diarmuid suddenly opened his eyes and did a strengthened overhead was momentarily shocked as she thought it's going to be a victory for her.

'Or not.' Kiritsugu tensed.

Diarmuid noticed Arturia's expression and took this as an advantage. He quickly swung the weapon and reversed it so that the dull end of the red spear would now be facing Arturia. He thrusted it and Arturia was hit in the abdomen. She still managed to make a backward somersault despite the pain but when she looked up and was about to make a quick counter-attack, she was greeted by Gae Buidhe's sharp end, threatening to poke her delicate skin on her neck at any moment. Arturia gasped inwardly.

"W-why…" Arturia was dumbfounded. She's at loss for words.

Seeing her discomfort, Diarmuid just smirked. "You're full of openings. You're too absorbed by the fact that you're gonna win this. But now, as you can see, the tables have turned." He nonchalantly announced.

Arturia felt the sudden urge to really beat the crap out of him but restrained herself as she remembered what Diarmuid just said. She sighed and raised both her hands up. Saber Alter admitted defeat and it's the first time in history.

"Fine. You win." She narrowed her emerald eyes.

The gym erupted in a series of shouts and battle cries of victory. Diarmuid smiled a little and raised Gae Buidhe, the only surviving weapon, to declare his championship.

The gong boomed signaling the end of the fight. Members of the lancing team came rushing towards the platform to congratulate their leader. Diarmuid was busy entertaining his fellow members when he suddenly realized that Arturia's presence is nowhere to be found.

He stood straighter and found her small figure ahead. Diarmuid blocked out all the noise and he could hear that she's taking loud, angry steps as if to say that her job's still not done.

And yes. It's not…Yet.

XX

Gilgamesh casually strolled outside Fate Academy's premises with the only thing he has- his briefcase. He's on his way home early since classes are canceled due to sparring demonstrations of kendo club and lancing team.

As he continued walking, he found an eerily quiet park with a bench and a playground. No one is around and so, Gilgamesh decided to rest a little before getting on to his destination.

As he sat down, he thought of all random things that comes into his mind when suddenly, Arturia came into picture. Gilgamesh smirked as he thought of that girl. He always found her amusing because every time he shows up, she always had her guard up. She's not like others who always had a state of euphoria when he would magically appear.

He was too busy thinking all of these things that he hasn't realized the girl that he was currently thinking about was a meter away from him.

"Busy thinking something, eh?"

That snapped Gilgamesh out of his musing. He turned his head to the source of the voice and found himself looking at none other than Arturia. Her right hand was withdrawn at her back but Gilgamesh paid no attention to it. He smirked as he stood up to his full height.

"Ohh Arturia! Fancy meeting you here!" He greeted.

"Well, it's not really fancy. But it's nice to meet you, Gilgamesh."

Gilgamesh raised his right brow in confusion. The way she said his name sends chills running down his spine, which he found rather annoying. Nonetheless, he maintained his cool demeanor and continued to play along with the conversation.

"Why are you he- Oh I get it!"

He smirked deeply as realizaton hit him. He inwardly fist pumped.

"What?" Arturia asked curiously with her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

"Your match is finished right? Before getting down to whatever business you'll have with me, I'll just guess it since I know this theory of mine is right." He smirked.

She scoffed defiantly. "And what is that?" She maintained her still stance.

Gilgamesh only chuckled at her oblivious nature."Either you're too giddy to see me and finished the match early or you probably surrendered" he smirked, "but I'll go with the former."

That definitely hit a chord and Arturia was angrier than ever. This man sure doesn't know how to set his limits, does he?

Arturia just smiled crookedly as she cocked her head to the side and mocked innocence. She takes slow, dangerous steps toward Gilgamesh with her right hand still positioned at her back.

"You know... I have just enough of you. So..."

She revealed whatever surprise she got in her right hand and alas, it's the katana that she used awhile ago at the match.

"...let's end this now!"

As soon as those words escaped from her mouth, she dashed towards Gilgamesh with the katana's glow wickedly shining against the afternoon light. Gilgamesh was totally taken aback that when Arturia reached to him, he just used his hard bound briefcase to protect himself.

Beads of sweat ran down at the sides of his temple as he tried to knock some sense to the girl. "Oi! Idiot! What's your problem?!" He grunted as he lightly pushed the katana's weight away.

Arturia slightly stumbled by the force but made her comeback as quickly as she could. She swung a large arc at the side as she knelt down for some effect. Gilgamesh just dodged it on time by stepping back. Despite his looks, he's as athletic as Arturia and was heard to be a student in archery during his younger years.

After a seemingly a long pause, Arturia replied."You're the problem!".

And as if that satisfied Gilgamesh, she stood up and charged again with a battle cry. Gilgamesh lowered his head and waited for the right moment to block the attack. She's close. He took a deep breath and bowed down to avoid the strike, he sidestepped, knelt down and swiped Arturia's legs using his own.

Seeing Arturia's discomfort, she quickly tackled her to the ground and pinned her arms above her. The katana was a few feet away from them because of the recent attack so the odds of Arturia resisting are grim.

Arturia stared at him with disgust."L-let me go!" She tried moving but Gilgamesh quickly locked her legs to avoid further attacks.

"Let me go! Yoy perverted bastard!" She was yelling now. Of course, who wouldn't? In their position now- with Gilgamesh hovering above her- the possibilities one would think are endless.

"Oh? So now, you're calling me a pervert, huh?" He raised his right brow, "I don't even know what crime I comitted for you to attack me!"

Arturia scoffed. "Huh! Let's cut the chase, Gilgamesh! you definitely..."

"What?" He demanded.

"Y-you... You.. messed with my e-exam..." She's at loss for words. And she hated it. She's starting to feel all soft and inferior when just awhile ago, she looked like she's ready to kill someone.

"Your exam what?" He demanded again; louder this time.

Arturia choked back a sob and said it. "My exam results!" She yelled.

Gilgamesh's amber eyes widened in response.

"Y-you, you messed with it! You're the sole reason why I got third place only!" She continued, "you were before me, so maybe I-"

She was cut off by a soft laugh from Gil. She grunted in annoyance.

"What?!"

"Nothing. It's just that, you're so childish that you really didn't realize the loopholes in your plan Arturia."

Arturia scoffed again. "And what are those?"

"Well, first off, are you really sure I'm really the one who messed with the results?" Seeing her hesitance, he continued. "And, did you ever bear in mind that you can kill a person with that katana there? Think about it." He slowly let go of her and picked up his briefcase. Arturia was left open-mouthed at his questions.

'Why haven't I thought of that before? Maybe it's not really him.' she thought. But then her violent subconscious reminded her again to do otherwise.

"That isn't enough to convince me Gilgamesh. You could lie at any moment, you know." She hesitated before she continued, "And I never forgot that you bear a grudge on me for punching you." She smirked as her confidence came back again.

Gilgamesh just stared at her and smiled.

"Oh. I pretty much promised myself that I'd do it in a fair way Arturia," he smirked as he leaned closer and whispered, "of making you fall for me, that is."

She quickly stood up and pointed a shaky finger as she was slightly blushing.

"W-why you! You have the nerve, huh?" She stammered.

Gilgamesh just puts his hands in his pockets and smiled crookedly.

"That's more like it." he said

Arturia raised her right brow in confusion at this. "What is?"

"You. You're back to your normal self again. I felt a different aura this time."

Arturia was speechless about this. Yes, it's true. She was somehow strangely convinced of Gilgamesh's theory that it wasn't him who messed up with her grades. She just sighed as she let another minute of silence pass.

However, Gilgamesh's next words surely took her by surprise and all she could do was gawk at the mere sight of him.

"And hey. You nearly killed me today. And I hate thinking about that fact. So..."

Arturia gulped, he smirked.

"As a repayment, you have to go on a date with me tomorrow. I won't take no for an answer, Arturia." He said- or more like demanded.

Gilgamesh started to walk away as he left a dumbfounded Arturia with her mouth hanging open. He stopped on his tracks and turned back around again, just for effect.

"And remind me not to get on your bad side." He paused, "it seriously pissed me off."
