Another chapter wouldn't hurt right?
"We're here!" Kristoff called out behind him as Sven slowed to a stop. The journey up the mountain had been uneventful. Other than the fact that the climate warmed up to the point where winter gear was simply unnecessary. Kristoff climbed out of the sled and reached for Anna as the royal guards looked around in question.
Who could possibly help us out here? They wondered. Well they were soon going to find out.
Kristoff held Anna tightly and approached the center of the valley.
"We could use some help guys!" He called out. People thought he was crazy for talking to rocks. Well it was ten times better than talking to people, that was for sure. The ground started to shake as hundreds of boulders shook and rolled over to surround Kristoff. Suddenly, they all popped to life with eyes, ears, and hands as hundreds of smiling faces looked up towards their old friend.
"He's home! And he's brought the princess!" One troll called out from the crowd.
"It's good to see you all again!" Kristoff couldn't help but smile at all of the familiar faces around him. It was true that this place was the only place Kristoff considered home.
"Did you do it Kristoff?" Bulda asked quietly. "Did you give her the fire crystal we gave you?"
"Uh, maybe now's not the time-" Kristoff whispered back and shook his head.
"Yeah Kristoff! Did you ask her?! Did she like the crystal?!" Another voice called out soon before everyone started asking about the very crystal he used to propose to Anna just a few nights before. Kristoff groaned and desperately shook his head.
"Not now guys! Hey! We have guests!" He cried. What followed was dead silence as hundreds of eyes blinked questionably up at him. He nodded over to the crowd of confused and slightly terrified royal guards gawking down at the living rocks with huge eyes and big mouths.
"Hey! Is that the Queen?" A random voice called out as Elsa emerged from the group of guards. It was exactly as she remembered from when she visited so many years ago. She smiled and slowly made her way through the crowd of rocks to where Kristoff stood. Close behind her, two guards gently placed John's sleeping form to the ground and, with a quick bow to the Queen, retreated back to the sleds. Elsa bent down and scooped John's head to rest on her lap. He was cool, but not ice cold in temperature. She looked up at the trolls surrounding her followed by a desperate glance up to Kristoff.
"Where's Grand Pabbie? We need his help!" Kristoff called out and bent down beside Elsa, but he kept Anna close.
"I sense the presence of strong magic…" Pabbie's voice filled the entire court and trolls made way for the wise elder. As he came forward, he approached John and nodded to the Queen.
"Your Majesty. I sense that your powers were the cause of this?" Pabbie placed a hand on John's shoulder. Elsa gulped and nodded.
"A strike to the heart. Not simple to treat I'm afraid." Pabbie removed his hand and sighed.
"What do you mean?" Elsa tightened her grip around John and feared the worst. Pabbie closed his eyes and looked to Kristoff whom was staring down at Anna in sadness.
"A strike to the heart can only be healed by an act of true love. That's how Anna was able to heal herself, when she sacrificed herself to save you." Kristoff looked up to Elsa with grief in his eyes.
"That's how he saved me. He sacrificed himself and this is what happened! What am I going to do?" She looked up to Pabbie with tears in her eyes. Pabbie looked down to John and seemed to pause in thought.
"It's odd though. It seems to me that his heart is not frozen at all. In fact, I sense the opposite. I sense that his heart is thawing and in the process of healing itself." The wise troll placed a gentle hand over John's heart and indeed felt the young prince's heart warming rather than freezing.
"What does that mean?" Elsa looked between the troll and Kristoff in confusion.
"It means that the act of true love already happened dear!" Bulba chimed in from beside Pabbie.
"How?" Kristoff and Elsa shared equally confused expressions as the crowd of trolls gasped and whispered in unison.
How indeed? RxR
