A/N: I thought this would be a cute little chapter, considering it's something I've done with cousins before, I have to say it's really adorable and quite interesting to try.

Dee-ox-ee-rye-boe-new-clay-ic acid is the elongated name of DNA.

I don't own anyone but Christin, and if I did... Oh... That would be a bit not good.

Christin: Age 5

"Papa?" Christin asked as she wondered into his room, a textbook in hand.

Sherlock sighed. He'd been so busy lately he hadn't really talked to Christin except for 'what do you last eat?' and 'go to bed. Papa's busy.' "Yes Christin?" He asked her with a smile.

"Can you help me with school?" She asked in an innocent voice.

"School?"

"Yes."

"Uh… Alright. What do you need help with?"

"I'm stuck on science."

"What about science?"

"Deoxy…" She said looking down at the book. "Deoxyri…."

"Deoxyribonucleic acid?" Sherlock questioned.

"Yes." She said, nodding her head vigorously.

"What about it?'

"What is it?"

"It's DNA. It's the molecule that contains all of the genetic material for plants, and people, and animals."

Her eyes widened when he explained it to her. "That's…"

"Yes?"

"That's amazin!"

"It is quite amazing, yes."

"What else has it?"

"Everything that's living."

"So… even bugs?"

"Yes even bugs."

"What about…" She said, trailing her sentence of as she looked around the room, for something else to have DNA."

"What about the flower I picked yesterday!?"

"Yes that has DNA too."

"Really?"

"Yes really. What else do you need to know about it?" He asked with a smile.
Like he had thought before, all her primary school will be done by age six, and maybe he could push for more. Dealing with her constant schooling tended to get annoying, but thankfully she's pretty self sufficient.

"That's all." She said with a smile and a giggle. "Bye Papa." She said and closed his door as she walked out.

"Christin…" He said as she closed it

"I said bye Papa." She told him, and just kept going.

He sighed and stood up to follow her, once he opened the door she started to run back towards his room.

"PAPA! PAPA! PAPA!" She cried as she ran towards his door. "PA-Of!" She added as she slammed into him and fell to the floor.

"Yes Christin?" He asked when she finally stood up again.

"What does it look like?" She asked and pointed behind her to the pipe-cleaners he had bought her for her crafts lying on the floor.

"Well there's a picture in the book isn't there?

"Yes… Will you help me?" She asked with pitiful eyes.

Sherlock smiled. "Of course I will. We need beads as well."

"I know!" She exclaimed and pulled on his hand and walked towards the middle of the sitting room.

Sherlock laughed and shook his head as he went to sit down with her. She was still a child, no matter how old she acted.

"How many colours of beads do we need?"

"We need four."

"Okay… I like blue, and black, and purple and red!"

"Alright then use those four."

"Okay!" She exclaimed and began searching for the four colours she had chosen. "You have to help Papa." She told him with a serious look.

Sherlock laughed when she said that. She's such a child, but acts like an adult with all of her expressions and tones. It's pretty adorable actually.

"I'm aware. Come on, let's find the colours." He said with a smile and began looking for the four colours she wanted.
He knew most anyone else would think he was even weirder for doing this with her, but everyone thought he was strange anyway, so why does it matter?

After an hour of time, dozens of pipe cleaners, and an insane amount of beads, Christin and Shelock had made one full strand of DNA.

"Why does it look twisty?" Christin asked and looked between what her and Sherlock had made, and the picture in the book.

"Because it is." Sherlock added, twisting the pipe cleaners so it was more like the DNA strand pictured.

"Oh… It's pretty!"

"Yes, it is."

"Can we put it in my room?" She asked with a sleepy smile.

Sherlock looked towards the window; it was dark out so Christin should probably already be in bed. Sherlock usually forgot she needed to be in bed by certain hours, otherwise she became cranky.

"Alright. Let's put you to bed as well." He added standing up and extending his hand for her. "Shall we?"

"Okay Papa…" She said and took his hand, rubbing her bleary eyes as they walked towards her room.

"Okay." He said and smiled.

Even though it had only been an hour, he still felt better about not spending much time with Christin lately. He hoped because the case he was working on was over he would be able to spend time with her… until the next case came along.
