Contest Arena

As The Black Greninja walked into the Contest Arena, he noticed that the only people in the stadium were Marian, the judges and his opponent. "What is the meaning of this?"

Marian walked over to the masked man and answered his question. "The judges and I had a discussion and we decided that during this break, you and Nando would have a rematch."

The Black Greninja was left confused by this statement. "With all due respect, Nando was eliminated from the tournament. What is the point of this rematch?"

Marian responded. "Because if you refuse the match, you will be eliminated and Nando will take your place."

After a few seconds of silence, The Black Greninja let out a deep sigh. "Fine. I accept the challenge." The Black Greninja then walked over to the right side of the arena and waited for Marian to start the match.

"This match will be a Double Battle. Let's begin."

Nando started the match by reaching into his jacket and pulling out two Pokeballs. "Roserade, Lopunny. Let's go." He then threw his two Pokeballs into the air and released his Pokemon.

Black Greninja proceeded to do the same as his opponent. "Gardevoir and Gallade." He then proceeded to press the buttons on the Pokeballs and called out his Pokemon.

When both Coordinator's Pokemon appeared in the arena the match began.

"Lopunny, use Shadow Ball. Roserade, use Toxic Spikes."

"Gardevoir, use Protect. Gallade, use Psycho Cut."

Gallade started by charging his Psycho Cut attack and running towards Nando's Roserade. Roserade prepared his Toxic Spikes attack while Lopunny created two Shadow Balls in its hands and jumped in front of Roserade, using one of its Shadow Ball attacks as a shield from Gallade's Psycho Cut attack and using the other one to mix in with the Toxic Spikes, adding the Ghost type to the attack. As Gardevoir's Protect went up, The Black Greninja's point total decreased.

"Gallade, use Psycho Cut again. Gardevoir, use Moonblast."

"Lopunny, use Blizzard. Roserade, use Toxic."

Gallade fired at Roserade once again with his Psycho Cut attack while Gardevoir fired her Moonblast attack, combining with Psycho Cut and creating a ring around the Moonblast attack. Lopunny then fired off its Blizzard attack while Roserade combined his Toxic attack with Lopunny's Blizzard, creating a poisonous Blizzard to anyone that gets hit by its winds. When both attacks collided, the Moonblast was slowly freezing from the attack, but it wasn't slowing down fast enough and was getting closer and closer to Nando's Pokemon.

As Lopunny increased the Blizzard attack, the Moonblast started to get pushed back towards Black Greninja's Pokemon and was beginning to completely freeze over. After a few seconds passed, the Moonblast attack was blown away by Lopunny and Roserade's combined attack and was heading towards Black Greninja's Pokemon. Gardevoir tried to stop the attack with Psychic, but it didn't work. When the attack hit, there was a medium sized explosion that surrounded the two Psychic types. After the dust cleared, Nando saw what happened.

Gallade was panting heavily and appeared to be poisoned. The Black Greninja then proceeded to explain."Like a Knight who defends his Queen, I had Gallade defend Gardevoir by using Close Combat on the attack. As you know Nando, Close Combat reduces Gallade's defense stats and it uses up a lot of energy. Plus, since that attack was covered in Poison, Gallade ended up getting hit by the status."

As The Black Greninja's point total decreased, Nando used this to his advantage. "Lopunny, use Shadow Ball. Roserade, use Sludge Bomb."

Lopunny proceeded to charge at Gallade with Shadow Ball as Gallade was suffering from the effects of the Poison while Roserade charged at Gardevoir with a super-effective attack. But The Black Greninja wasn't going to let Nando win that easily. The Black Greninja reached into his suit pocket and pulled out a pocket watch with a DNA symbol in the middle. As the DNA symbol begins to glow, Gardevoir transforms into her Mega Evolution: Mega Gardevoir and uses Protect to shield herself from Lopunny's attack while also sending Lopunny into the ceiling from the shockwaves given off by the initial transformation.

Meanwhile, Gallade dodges Roserade's Sludge Bomb attack and uses Psycho Cut to blast Roserade into a wall.

As Nando's point total took a heavy decrease and both his Pokémon were recovering from Black Greninja's attack, Nando noticed that he was now tied with The Black Greninja. So even when this guy's strongest offense is weakened, he's still strong.

But before Nando could continue the conversation with himself, Black Greninja spoke. "You've gotten a little better since the last time I fought you. But it's time to end this. Your Pokémon stand no chance against my combination."

Nando then smirked in response to what The Black Greninja said to him. "I wouldn't count my Pokémon out just yet. I still have one trump card left." Nando then reached into his jacket and pulled out his two sided Mew harp. "It's time for the white belt to become the black belt."

The Black Greninja was left confused by Nando's remark and begins to issue his next commands to his Pokemon. "Gardevoir, use Moonblast. Gallade, use Thunderbolt." As the two Psychic types began their attacks, Nando began playing his harp as Lopunny charged at Gardevoir. The Black Greninja noticed this and was confused. I sense something in Lopunny.

As Lopunny got closer, she began to glow a similar color Gardevoir had when she Mega Evolved. The Black Greninja was even more confused upon witnessing this transformation but continued the attack.

When Lopunny's glow stopped, Lopunny's ears got longer and skinnier looking like a roll of sausages, its eyebrows merged together and looked like a butterfly and Lopunny's arms now resembled boxing gloves. "Black Greninja, meet Mega Lopunny."

Black Greninja then proceeded to cross his arms. "So this is the rumoured Mega Evolution of Lopunny? Viewing it from over here, Mega Lopunny looks like one pretending to be a Fighting type. Gallade, aim your Thunderbolt at Lopunny instead." Gallade nodded his head and aimed his electricity at Mega Lopunny.

Nando then responded. "Maybe so. But Mega Lopunny is not to be messed with."

Mega Lopunny then disappeared and reappeared in front of Gallade, shocking both the Pokemon and his trainer. That speed!

"Mega Lopunny, use Jump Kick!"

Mega Lopunny then proceeded to smirk as it hit Gallade with enough force to crack a wall in two. After getting hit by the attack, Gallade hit the wall next to Black Greninja and broke through it. Gardevoir then proceeded to fire her Moonblast attack at Mega Lopunny, but Lopunny managed to avoid the attack and kick the Moonblast back at Gardevoir, but Gardevoir put up a Protect to shield herself.

As The Black Greninja's point total decreased once again, The Black Greninja was stunned. That Jump Kick is like an air cannon. If Gallade takes a few more of those attacks, he'll be a goner. It's becoming clear that I have to end this match and fast. "It's rare to fight against one that is pushing me this far but now it's time to get serious. Gallade, get out of the wall!" Gallade managed to get out of the hole in the wall but Gallade was still suffering the effects of both the Poison and the Jump Kick.

"Gardevoir, use Protect."

"Lopunny, use Iron Tail. Roserade, use Sludge Bomb."

Roserade fired his Sludge Bomb attack at Gallade while Lopunny ran around Gardevoir, hitting her Protect with Iron Tail multiple times but to no avail. Although Gallade was able to avoid the Sludge Bomb attacks, Gardevoir's Protect dissipated and Gardevoir got hit by at least five of Lopunny's Iron Tail attacks sending Gardevoir high into the air. As Mega Lopunny charged at Gardevoir for the finishing blow, Mega Gardevoir hit Lopunny with a Moonblast at close range sending both Pokémon flying and causing both Coordinators' point totals to decrease.

Roserade fired another Sludge Bomb attack at Gallade, but he dodged once again and hit Roserade with two Psycho Cut attacks, knocking her out. But as The Black Greninja began to smirk, Gallade succumbed to the effects of the poison and fainted. "I should have seen that coming. Gardevoir, use another Moonblast!" Gardevoir complied with her trainer's command and hit Lopunny with another Moonblast attack. As Lopunny got back on its feet, it charged at Gardevoir again with another Iron Tail attack. "Gardevoir, use Moonblast one more time!" As Gardevoir fired another Moonblast attack, Lopunny managed to jump over it, get behind Mega Gardevoir and hit her back with Iron Tail, sending her into the ground.

As Lopunny landed on the ground exhausted, Mega Gardevoir got up and smirked as The Black Greninja spoke. "This has been the first time in years that I felt so excited!"

Nando was left confused by this. After that Iron Tail, Gardevoir's still going?

"Time!" Marian shouted.

Both Coordinators were surprised at this as they turned to the host. "This match was very close. If we had our audience, I'm sure they would be roaring with applause. But the winner of this match was Nando. He doesn't return to the Tournament, but he did win this grudge match."

After both Coordinators returned their Pokémon to their Pokeballs, they walked to the center of the arena. Nando reached out his hand for a handshake and smiled. "That was a good match Black Greninja."

After a few seconds of silence, The Black Greninja accepted the handshake. "Thanks Nando, you were a good opponent to face. Like I said before, I haven't felt that excited for battle in years so you clearly did something right."

As Nando walked away from the arena , Black Greninja walked back to the waiting room as repairs began.
